Desktop display with icons! brand

For some reason any my computer just started displaying my icons on the desktop with an exclamation point.

It tends to be saved documents directly on the desktop.

I ran McAfee antivirus and there seems to be nothing wrong

Any ideas anyone?

The problem has been resolved.  It seems that McAfee itself to include a Mozy backup which, in turn, updated the! marks on the icons.

Enter McAfee has given an option to save files online.

This has removed the! mark.

Thanks for your help.

    -It used to work and for some reason, now it does not work

    Greetings, d_chiuch1104,

    There is one thing that I know that you need to check that COULD be your problem.  Open Control Panel (in Classic view) and click Folder Options (or, in Control Panel, click on appearance and personalization and then Folder Options).

    Open the view tab and make sure that "Always show icons, never thumbnails" is NOT checked.

    It would be good to hear from you as to whether that was the problem!

  • Desktop icons have all disappeared completely and cannot add new ones to the desktop display.

    I use Windows Vista Business Service Pack 1 on a Toshiba individual 5 months old Pro.
    Everything works well except all my desktop icons disappeared last week for example Recycle Bin, Internet Explorer, etc.
    I have activated since the "Desktop >" section of the taskbar and can now access all the icons in a vertical list.
    If I try to add a new icon to real desktop screen does not appear, but it does not produce a copy that can be chosen amongst the "Desktop >" list on the taskbar.
    How can I display the icons on the new real desktop?

    Right-click on the desktop, click on the "View" menu

    In the submenu at the bottom, there is an entry named "show desktop icons".
    Click here, if it is not already.

    Return your icons?
    Please let us know how it goes.

    The default value is the first, but the position of the icon can be defined as an accompaniment with iconPosition.

    Is it possible to create the icon PDF format display with the cover of the document image, when sending via "Mail" on a mac?

    InDesign has no control on how Apple Mail displays a PDF it creates.

    My experience is that Mail displays a preview of a single PDF page, but not a multiple page PDF. In addition, for a single page PDF, the user may tip if the PDF shows a preview by right-clicking the icon/preview.

  • Display JList holding JLabel with icons of different heights screwed up

    I started to create a wrapper for unix 'make', that filter for binary files created and display their names and potentially an icon for those in a JList.

    But sometimes the display of icons is screwed. It is cut to the size of a pure text (JLabel) line in the JList.

    Below you can find the test program.

    You have to put two image of different size of the files binary1.jpg and binary2.jpg in the execution of the generation of java directory (I use eclipse)

    and create a test like this input file:

    > cat input
    binary1
    binary2
    binary3
    binary4
    binary5
    binary6
    binary7
    binary8
    binary9

    The build run directory TEST_DIR environment variable value.

    Finally start the java class as follows:

    > bash -c 'while read line; do echo $line; sleep 1; done' < input| (cd $TEST_DIR; java -classpath $TEST_DIR myTest.MyTest)

    Then you should see the question.

    (Doesn't bother me on the JAVA code in general - I know, that there is enough other questions of difficulty :-))

    -Thanks a lot!

    Best regards
    Frank

    I discovered, that the problem is caused by trying to use the automatic scrolling via the #100 line:

    list.ensureIndexIsVisible(list.getModel().getSize() - 1);

    This helped to solve:

    Java - ensureIndexIsVisible (int) does not work - Stack Overflow

    The result is:

    if (autoScroll.isSelected()) {
      SwingUtilities.invokeLater(new Runnable() {
         public void run() {
             list.ensureIndexIsVisible(list.getModel().getSize() - 1);
