Removal of blackBerry Smartphones Hoursgalss, slow, SMS

Since last week, my Alltell 8130 was the removal of my message history and call for papers. Boring, but I could ignore that.

For these last two days, however, the phone has handled things extremely slow, constantly updated to the top of the hourglass icon and basically stalling for several seconds at a time on features ranging from fromtrying to check the text / call logs, at the opening of the internet browser, control electronics, even incoming / outgoing calls. Call button the half of the time that the phone does not block for 1-20 of secodns after having clicked on the end.

Is it a software update or something? Nothing has been wise to changed settings, and the only change in the typical use is that I started to surf the web and check e-mail more frequently on the phone.

Any help is appreciated.

The device of low, low memory.

First thing? Check the file without Options > status, what is the number to the free file? Now, remove the battery from your device, hold a minute, replace, and restart. What is now the free file?

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact your carrier for assistance.

There is virtually no diagnosis of those - they are the equivalent of random errors in Windows for which trace the root cause is futile. Basically, here's the last out in the programming code - some event occurred for which there is no event handler in the code. The patch is an update of the code that handles the event... but, again, what is the event is almost impossible. So, there are a few things to try:

Sometimes, the code simply is damaged and needs to be updated - just like a reboot:

There may be a code updated to the value of the carrier - check out them through this Portal:

The toughest possible causes are a bad application behave. To find it, we need to eliminate apps one at a time, wait a while between the two (I usually recommend a week), until the problem stops... revealing the offending application.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones very slow CPU speed.

We have two BB bold 9900, we're working very well the other has very slow response to each action. even using the touchpad to navigate a huge delays. We also get the small icon of black clock all the time. There are many cases when the process is never ending and he must remove the batteery to reset the phone. Any thoughts? Thank you.

A battery pull is always recommended to take the first step.  You have done this, then I would jump straight to a reload of the OS.  Why are we so slow 9900 and the other is not?  I really have no reason for that, but the reload of the operating system is a good step to take.  Not to worry even upgrade to a newer version, sometimes the same reload OS will do (update if a new version is available is however also recommended).

To do this, connect your phone to your PC and open BlackBerry Desktop Software.  Click on the device at the top of the software, then click on restore.  Load the last restore point.

Let us know if that helps you.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones don't SMS not clearing the homescreen

Under the home screen daily view on my phone, I have a message that was read and deleted, however it will not clear off the screen. All the other messages that I received since then have worked correctly a way to make this message disappear?

    Thank you.

OK, normal to erase a message unread... tips try them in the order.

If you have a new icon rogue Message on your home screen, or a negative number (-1), one of these solutions could erase or reset:

    Try these options:

    • * Hard Reset BlackBerry now ALT CAP (right Shift key) and DEL (or with the BlackBerry power, remove the battery and reinsert the battery)
    • Messages > saved Messages
    • Messages > view folders, check each folder (calls, SMS and MMS, and boxes, saved missed boxes, browser, phone logs etc.)
    • * Scroll at the top of the folder, on the title menu, click or tap to MARK PRIOR OPEN date
    • Change your theme and see if it persists and return to your desired theme. (Options > theme > select.)
    • * Clean and reload your OS.
  • BlackBerry smartphones! SLOW CALENDAR ON 8530 AFTER UPDATE TO!

    Hi all

I was looking through this forum, and I have not met anyone mention anything to this topic, so I hope I do just something wrong...

I've recently updated OS from my Berry to, and since I did it, my calendar is simply unusable. When I click on the icon to enter the calendar, it crashes just for about 10 to 20 seconds (depending on which is open) and won't let me do anything, even go out... Total crash... and then once he enter the calendar, it crashes again before it allows me to scroll to enter an appointment. In total, he is probably going to take me 20 to 30 seconds to get to the point where I can start typing the actual appointment details.

What have I done? Is there a cure? What I do back? I never had to push back a Berry before, it's that something simple? Really sucks!

PIN please me or just add me to BB Messenger - PIN: XXXXXXXX

    Help, please!

    Thanks for your time...

  • BlackBerry smartphones no 'compose SMS' only option on non-professionnelle 8700

Hey, I just bought a second hand 8700 and it has no policy of TI in security options (I already tried the policy.bin method to solve this problem) and it has never been used by a company. It gives me the Email "Compose" and "MMS composer" options, but not the option "compose SMS". I went through the SMS settings in Options and nothing no chance. Please help I really need this phone to work properly.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Interesting... a COMPUTER policy may or may not be causal here. But, if it is... it is possible that there's a COMPUTER policy, even if nothing shows on the screen. The it policy "in white" can be set up but have no display there... and it may limit the things. The best way to remove a policy that IT is through this process:

That said, if the problem persists, then the it policy is not original and we will have to try other things.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones extremely slow

All of a sudden, my 2 1/2 years Curve 9300 started acting strangely. It is extremely slow. Get turns the dial inside the box. Sometimes pages shadow. Have removed all unwanted applications, but free space continues to plummet up to 39.2 MB. Need help.

The first suggested course (restoration) has not fixed the problem. One of the following links with instructions for a complete reload of software seems to have done the trick. Thank you.

  • Voicemail for the removal of blackBerry Smartphones without listening to the entire message

One of my children made a habit of 'butt dialing' me by mistake, leaving messages of 5 minutes.  Lack of knowledge what else to do, I have to listen to him walk around with a voice hushed for a full 5 minutes before I can hit "7" to remove the message.  There must be a better way forward quickly at the end of a message. I tried all the keys as well as the # and *... Help!

So you kick 7 is not fast enough?

Delete, repeat, fast forward, etc., keyboard shortcuts for your voicemail come from your operator, not BlackBerry. You should check with your carrier about voice shortcuts.

For example, on mine, typing press the 3 deletes the virtual machine.

  • Remove password blackBerry Smartphones Email

Some time ago a "friend" of mine gave me an AT & T 8100 to repay a debt to me.  I didn't need because I already use a curve.  I have unlocked the unit and sold it on ebay.  Today, I got a message from the buyer saying that he cannot implement its e-mail because the unit is asking for a password.  I tried to get my hands on the guy I got it since then without success.  Is there a way to remove the password without knowing it.  I had already wiped the device until I sold it.  You reinstall the operating system to get rid of him?  If so I have to re - unlock or it will remain like this?

  • Email removal of blackBerry Smartphones

I am a new user, connection through BES. I store e-mail that I want in outlook in my personal folders on my desk and do not want to keep so many messages on my Blackberry. How do I remove them or specify only keep for say 5-10 days.  I'm on Verizon (if that makes a difference).

Also several times when I open messages, I see the oldest FIRST and must scroll through hundreds to get to my current message.   SOOOO aggravating.   Thanks for any help.

Go to the Inbox of BlackBerry.  Press menu, select options, select general options, set the option "keep messages" for the duration you prefer.

I'm not aware of an option to sort the blackberry by the oldest messages first.  If you are not at the top of the list when you go into your blackberry Inbox, you can press "T" to jump to the top of the list and 'B' to jump to the bottom of the list.
