My desktop icons are now big, square, transparent boxes that cover my entire screen.  That has changed from one day to the next.  I tried to use a different wallpaper and image changes, but the icons are still distorted.  Difficulty? I use Windows 7.

These are icons by programs such as Norton 360 backup and are used to indicate certain conditions such as the status of the backup. You must go into the program generating overlays and disable this setting. In the case of Norton that would be settings in the main window and then uncheck the backup status overlays.

    Hi Ned

A.... With the help of your response and assistance from Adobe, my query has been resolved. Help Adobe's response is that, with the PSE, reset the validation is done automatically when the program is uninstalled. I just deleted the previously created desktop icons. Please see excerpt of conversation Chat Adobe below.

    1. Adobe: uninstall and turn off are the same in PSE
    2. Dave_t_9: Wow! I didn't know that! So if I have problems loading, I can try to load several times on the same machine, providing I have uninstall between each attempt?
    3. Adobe: That is absolutely correct.

Line the bottom and by design, you cannot use Office remotely [DRC] to control remote computer access/one Windows Home Edition, IE. Win 7/Vista or XP.

You can use a computer Windows Home Edition remote access/control a computer Win 7 Ultimate/Pro, Vista Ultimate/professional or XP Pro/MCE with DRC.

It seems that your dad work computer is equipped to Win 7 Ultimate/Pro, Vista Ultimate/professional or XP Pro/MCE. In this case your computer laptop Win 7 Home Premium or the old XP Home computer can act as a RDC client or remote access control its work DRC host computer.

For you to remote control your computer XP Home laptop Win 7 Home Premium watch TeamViewer (free for personal use).

    http://www.TeamViewer.com

For you on the remote control the new laptop Win 7 Home Premium from XP Home watch TeamViewer computer or you can also try Windows Live Mesh 2011 remote connections. Personally in this case I would stick with TeamViewer just for the sake of consistency.

    Hi JexterMaxim,

    1. what type of user accounts that you use?
    2. don't you log on as an administrator?
    3. don't you make changes to the agreement of the issue occur?

When you install a program, you will need to select the installation option in particular only to user accounts. Not in user accounts. You can try the following steps.

Desktop shortcuts are stored in one of two places:
    (a) in c:\Users\Public\Desktop. These shortcuts are shared and are visible to the user ever.
    (b) in c:\Users\UserName\Desktop. These shortcuts are not shared and are visible to the user.

When you right click on a shortcut, and then click general, then you can see where this particular shortcut is stored.

To make a shortcut of the group a) visible to yourself, do this method:
    a. drag the shortcut to the side with the right button of the mouse.
    b. Select "copy". You have now two seemingly identical shortcuts.
    c. delete the original shortcut.
