    May be a corrupt .plist.

Make a backup, preferably 2 backups on 2 separate drives.

Go to Finder and select your user folder. With this Finder window as the windshield, select Finder/display/display options for presenting or order - J.  When the display options opens, check "show the library folder. This should make your visible user library folder in your user folder.  Select the library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist and com.apple.desktop.plist.  Move the .plists on your desktop.

Relaunch the Finder by restarting the computer and test. If it works fine, delete the plists from the desktop.

If the same, return the .plists to where you obtained since, by crushing the latest.

Get a backup full system, like - especially if you use a Mac Pro with 10.6.8 - then your material is more old enough to be at fault.

I do not understand your post. You mean the desktop image is that of a landscape and you don't know how to change back or upside down image of the screen? If the latter (which is what I guess you really mean), then Ctrl-Alt up arrow or check the Settings applet display video card or a video card Control Panel applet. Your Windows passes genuine validation? If your activation session has expired and that windows did not pass the validation, it will not show any visual effect such as background noise, themes etc. It will only show a black screen and at the bottom right of the screen you can see attention.

  • Lost Windows desktop image

I just removed my PC Bing using revo Uninstaller.  Unfortunately, at the time of the withdrawal, Bing has managed to change my desktop and replace it with one of their own.  I assumed that it would be a simple matter to restore the original desktop using Control Panel > appearance and personalization.  Now I am unable to find the original image, although the bottom of the picture is still showing in the taskbar at the bottom of the screen.  Is there a way I can establish what we call image as background in the task bar so that I can search using the name of the image?

    Thanks for your help.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

Press the Windows key + R key, copy and paste the following address in the run prompt.

    %SystemRoot%\Web\Wallpaper

Similarly, the default themes are located in the following location.

  • Can someone give me instructions step by step for my MacBook Pro to automatically change my desktop image an album of my own pictures?

I need instructions to set up my MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan worm 10.11.5, with version 1.5 to regularly change my desktop picture of my own photos chosen from the photo album.

    1. Open system preferences.
    2. Click Desktop & screen saver.
    3. Select the desktop (if not already done).
    4. Click the Triangle next to 'Photos' in the list (it sometimes takes a while to build the list of Photos).

    7. Check your image and set the context menu on the desired interval.

  • Tried to change the desktop image and lost all of them.

iPhoto was opened I was looking for an image specific, but also decided that it would be a good idea to multi-task with my iMac and tried to change the image of the desktop at the same time. Apparently, it wasn't the best idea. While seeking photos through system preferences, a pop-up asked if I wanted to pass something. I'll tell you... I didn't read entirely, but thought that he wanted to reopen iPhoto in System Preferences, since I had the app open on its own. I clicked 'OK', which seems to be the point of civilization to collapse, as it appears that I lost all the photos stored in my iPhoto library! What I did and how can I fix? Everyone?

Hold down the option key while launching iPhoto and using more select Library window select the correct iPhoto library

If somehow you deleted it (nothing you described in your question can result in the deletion of the iPhoto library) and then restore your backup iPhoto library until you have removed

  • How to remove unwanted my desktop images? __I have Windows Vista.

I was sent a good number of photos (60 +) as attachments to an email. If I would not view each individually, I was intending to save them in a folder. However, in my haste, I failed to create the directory first (DUH!) and individually saved on my desktop. I did a scan and no virus is found, however, the images seem to multiply. I can remove all of them, but as soon as I turned my computer off and turn it back on, they reappear in many more. Each image is revealing on copies and some of them may have a couple of copies; others may have 15 copies. Know that I am a "senior" and I am not very computer I'm sure you already understood. I would appreciate more than any help you can give me. I do pretty well by following the instructions given. Thank you so much in advance.
