  I have a Toshiba Satellite L300 PSLB8E. I initially bought with Windows Vista already installed on it. After a few years, I changed the operating system Windows 7 Ultimate. I installed the display and all the other necessary drivers (that is, sound, network, etc.).

  It is not easy to say what exactly is the problem, but I put t think there is problem with OS and preinstalled display driver. A long time ago I installed Win7 Home Premium on friends L300 and it works perfectly.

  What you can try is to use the external monitor for a while and see if everything works well. If so, there is no problem with the operating system, drivers or graphics card. It may be that the display problem.

  Maybe the hardware failure, however it could be linked as well video card driver.

  Make sure you have the latest video card drivers. If you are already on the latest graphics card drivers, uninstall and install a version or a few versions behind the last to make sure this isn't a last number one driver. If you have already tried the latest version, but also the many versions previous possible, you can try a beta driver if they are available.

  Why the my screen is all white, with the exception of a 2 "wide strip of top down on the left side, only on the screen? Thing I do is the way that it supposed to be. It's just like that on the desktop. And when the pc is turned on, it appears the desktop image full screen just before its completely initialized.   1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

  2 are you able to access all the items on the desktop except the white screen?

  3. do you have security software installed on the computer?

  First unplug and plug back in the computer monitor, check if that helps.

  I'm a newbie here so my question is maybe obvious to some, but not for me!

  My laptop Satellite C660-174 (running Windows 7) ceased to open correctly. Everything is normal until my password is entered.   I really don't understand what could be the problem, but what you can try is to start your machine with F8 and enter advanced startup options. Choose the entry 'Repair your computer', then press 'Enter '. Go forward until you enter the system recovery options. Try to system restore to earlier date. Perhaps this will help you solve problem described.

  You can access Mode safe? Repeatedly press F8 as you start? If yes you can try Control Panel - device
  Manager - graphics card - Double click on - driver tab - click on UPDATE driver - then right click
  on devices and UNINSTALL - REBOOT.

  Another method to try to get to the desktop (try in normal Windows Mode without failure)
  CTRL + ALT + DELETE and on the tab process EXPLORER.exe and COMPLETE the PROCESS on this subject - then
  on the Applications tab - lower right - new task - type in EXPLORER.exe. Safe mode is reached
  by tapping F8 as you start several times.

  Black screen problems are extremely difficult to repair and all patch is usually on a base hit or miss.
  That there is no information on a black screen as it is on a blue screen just adds to the
