  My HP Deskjet 3050 a wireless print fine with my Mac OS Lion 10.7.3.   First, install the critical update below:

  Now change the settings of the device as follows:
  1 open the HP utility and select your device.
  2. based on Scan Settings open the "Scan to Computer".
  3. click on the tab "scan tasks.
  4. Select the shortcut Scan allows to analyze, and then click on edit.
  5. in the section of scanning from an HP device, click the blue triangle to expand the menu.
  6. in the expanded menu now, open the drop down next to cultures in and set as none.
  7. click OK and try to scan.

  All of a sudden my HP OJ 6500 E 710 print only about 2/3 of the text on 4 X 6 "index cards.  The left side of the map is perfect, but about an inch and a half is missing on the right side, just empty.  I am at a loss it was working perfectly, the last time I printed cards.  Full 8-1/2 X 11 "pages print correctly.  Help!

• Brightness has only two settings after replacing the screen

  I have a G780. After a cracked screen, I installed a new screen, matched the pieces exactly and everything went very well. I jumped the rear window over and under voltage. I have not noticed other problems after the fall that caused the screen be broken. However, now the screen only has two settings no brightness and a high gloss. Is there something I can do? Perhaps, with the BIOS?

• Office Jet 4632 only print what is on the screen (Web Pages)

  Hi all.   New to the Forum.

  I have a new 4632 Jet Office hooked up to a Samsung RV 511 computer laptop running Windows 7 via a USB cable.

  The laptop is a Stock machine.

  For some reason when I try to print from the Web, it shows only what is on the screen, rather than print all web pages.

  It does if I try Google Chrome or Internet Explorer.

  My old Windows XP with an all-in-one HP machine automatically prints all pages.  If you only want to print some texts, you can highlight and print only that.  Not so with this machine.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  I see that you are having problems printing.  I would try to help.

  I would say uninstalling the software of the printer.

  Once it is uninstalled, I suggest you put your system in clean boot mode in the configuration of Microsoft.  You can do this by following this document: How to perform a clean boot in Windows.

  Once the computer is in clean boot mode, I would suggest to reinstall the HP printer install wizard for Windows.

  I bought a large wide screen to use it without having to increase the size of all fonts.

  Many sites Web uses a fixed width layout and do not automatically expand to fill the available space. It is perhaps for aesthetic reasons or for readability (it is more difficult for your brain to long strings).

  Firefox is not a built-in feature to change the layout, but there could be an add-on that does this.

  I understand that you do not want to increase the font size, but... Firefox zoom feature also expands the page layout and the image proportionally in order to preserve the overall design of the site. This article describes this feature in detail: the font size and zoom - increase the size of the web pages.

  If you find that you are constantly zooming all the sites by a comparable amount, there are modules, that you can use to set it as your default zoom level. For example:

  • Default FullZoom Level
  • NoSquint

  This looks like a "mobile" version of a Web page.

  Firefox button orange (or tools) > > Options > content - enable JavaScript - press the Advanced button
  Deselect move or resize existing windows

  Then restart Firefox.

• I was invited to run HP on diagnosis of line on my laptop which is under XP SP3. Since that time, a purple vertical line appeared about a third through the screen & moved the desktop icons. I can move the icons, but the line remains.

  It is unlikely that a) HP online diagnosis has caused the error. and (b) that it is a software problem. However, because I don't know what made the diagnosis online and why you did, start with the easy things. Download the video driver for your laptop from the HP website and reinstall. If this fixes things, very well. If this isn't the case, it is probably a hardware failure on your video screen of chip and/or laptop. This isn't something you can fix yourself then call HP technical support. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

• Is there a way to get on the desktop through mini icon or set without closing the screens all open with XP Professional?

  1. press Windows key + D
  2. you should have a "Show Desktop" icon in your Quick Lauch toolbar next to the button 'Start '. Sometimes the 'Show Desktop' icon is missing some, but I've never known.

  To me, it sounds like because problem of the motherboard or keyboard
