Hi Sai,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

This could occur because of corrupted or outdated drivers and also due to hardware issues.

I would like to know information to better understand the question below.

1 did you changes to the computer or audio settings prior to this problem?
2. can you see a yellow warning icon in Device Manager?

See the link below to open the Device Manager.
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/where-is-Device-Manager

3. talk to an external audio device?

4. What is the brand and model of the audio device and the computer?

5. is the audio device detected in bios?

I suggest you update the audio driver in Device Manager.
See the link below to update the driver.

I bought "toneport ux2 line6" and it does not work with my computer laptop (dual core 1, 73GHz, 1 GB ram, Windows Vista).

The problem is when I listen to music through this device, it looks I would look scratched CD, from time to time that there is a short interruption. The same thing happens when I'm with gearbox (software that allow you to play the electric guitar using audio device). I checked everything, including change Windows XP OS.

I have the latest drivers for the port of your (compatible vista), I downloaded 3.5 mechanism, only toneport is connected to my computer, I have disabled all installations flashing in vista, power management is scheduled for high performance. I disable the sound card. I checked my cell phone with line6 monkey and it says everything is ok. I checked the audio device on my friend's Office, and it works well.

    I desperately need help.

    Hello Marcin

In my opinion, you must be sure your laptop running fine and according to your assignment I do not here no problem.

So in your case you have problem with some additional equipment or third party software. Am I wrong? If there is a problem I see no reason to seek the solution with Toshiba. You should contact the manufacturers of all the devices and software that you use. They should have enough experience with own products and they should offer good support in troubleshooting.

  • Audio device problem on Windows 8 64 Y510

Hello dear readers. I have a lot of problems with my audio devices after the operating system upgrade to windows 8 on my lenovo y510. First of all default settings and drivers that I am working as any other failure, are evidence of each pair of speakers (this particular machine has 2 x 2 speakers and a subwoofer) as different devices on my audio settings. This of course means that I can only listen to one channel which is frankly frustrating...

I tried to update the realtek drivers, and after restarting, I as a single device. With the help of those who suggested on lead lenovo horrible failure page, so I don't even bother. I think that this may be connected to the lack of software Dolby Home Theater, but all attempts to install it gave rise to a message "pceee is not installed.

Did anyone of you had similar problems on this laptop in particular?

TL; DR I would spend devices 5 speakers 3 in peripheral location 5 1 speakers

    TIL: I'm a fool.

Well, turns out I found that my original drivers for Vista work like a charm.

  • Windows Server 2003 detects no audio device

When I start Windows Server 2003, I hear no sound start. I hear no sound XP, nor do I hear the sound of UK.

Then, I discovered that volume does not work as well. When I go to start > Control Panel > sounds and Audio devices, it says "no Audio device". There IS an audio device built into the logic board.

I went through every troubleshooting step and what I see is that I need to get drivers.
Unfortunately, Windows Server 2003 is an old operating system, and it is almost impossible to find the drivers. When I go to start > administrative tools > computer management > Device Manager, I see one category "Other devices" with a yellow question mark icon. I see 2 devices inside, "On the HD Audio Bus Audio device" and "Base system device". Both have a little yellow warning sign next to them. Double-click any of these two, and he said: 'the drivers for this device are not installed (Code 28)', and when I click on the button to install the driver, it gets stuck in the research or error "cannot install this hardware", said.
I don't have the disc or Windows recognize even anything on both devices. I also made sure that audio has been enabled in the Services, and that did not work. You have a driver or a fix? Answer as soon as possible!

    Hello

    Try the following.

Open windows control panel, open Windows Update, select "View update history" in the left pane and then select "Installed updates" link in the next window.

Locate the KB2962407 update, right click and choose uninstall.  Once completed, restart the computer, open windows control panel, open Windows Update and select "Check for updates".  You will see the update that you have uninstalled just offered once again - right click and select "Hide update".

After that you may or may not need to remove and reload the sound driver - if you do, how to use Recovery Manager to reinstall the drivers and software is detailed in the document at the link below.

  • Acer Aspire 5000 XP to Windows 7, cannot detect the audio drivers

original title: Acer Aspire 5000 XP to Windows 7

I recently updated my Acer Aspire in XP to Windows 7 5000. The process went well, but now he says it detects all audio devices. I checked the control panel and go to the sound section and it says that no devices are installed. Also, I am having some problems with graphics (a few black lines appear every now and then). I'd appreciate your help with this. Thank you!

There are no Windows 7 drivers for your model, something that you should have checked before the upgrade.

There are Vista drivers on the Acer site which may operate, but don't hold your breath...

    Hi @JS2045

The audio device problem HD, what you see is the Intel HDMI audio device that needs a driver.

I looked around for a driver W10 to the hardware ID you have published and fails.

This device is necessary unless you want or need audio via the port display.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to try the graphics driver Intel W7 laptop support and driver page, but install it... so that you target just the audio device problem...

Download, but do not work with this graphics driver...

    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/SWD/public/detail?sp4ts.Oid=4095873 & swItemId = ob_127914_1 & swEnvOid = 4059

Download and install this free utility for files.  64-bit is the second listed file.

    http://www.7-zip.org/

After installing 7-zip, do a right-click on the graphic driver file you downloaded, and select 7 - zip in the list of items.

Have 7-Zip extract of: and let it extract the driver for the name of the folder (sp64360).

Go to Device Manager and click on the audio device problem Intel HD requiring the driver.

Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.

Select her browse my computer for driver software option and navigate to the driver 7-Zip created folder.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and see if the pilot goes like this.

    Then restart.

If you explore the driver folder 7-zip created, and then open the DisplayAudio folder, you will find the setup information file that has the hardware ID you reported that supported by the driver.

If this driver audio works on W10, I don't know.

But if you want to give that a try, it would be a way to do it without messing with the real graphics driver.

  • No audio device detected Qosmio X 500

    Hello
I'm new on this forgiving so if I make a mistake. I have some problems with my Qosmio X 500. Recently, there is a red cross next to the speaker in my taskbar. Whem hovering the mouse over it, it says no speakers or headphones connected.

When right click on detection of problems, it is said that no audio device is connected. In my windows Device Manager it says that everything is connected OK I also downloaded the latest Audio drivers (conexant). Uninstalled the 'old', restart the computer and installed the new. No solution.

I found on the internet, it is one common problem with other laptops Toshiba, but no solutions have been proposed.

    Help, please.
Another thing I noticed is that video streamin (Youtube, for example) is suddenly very slow and laggy. Play reviews are no problem.

    Hello

I put t think that your speakers are silent because in this case the crossed red circle would be visible in the taskbar you said you see a red x so I guess there is a software problem.

I found a tip useful and interesting to the Microsoft page:
[On the volume of the taskbar icon shows the Red Cross. Trouble shoot bugs but keeps showing on and off. http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows_other-sound/on-taskbar-volume-icon-shows-Red-Cross-trouble/5f3906da-4d36-44c8-8b39-9884415ce22c?msgId=d7ff90e1-b836-4b71-88de-a4d349bc2136]

  • Audio device is no longer detected

Suddenly had no noise. When trying to solve the problems it says I have no audio device. This is not the first time that this has happened. The last time I did system restore and it was fixed. This time system restore does not work.

Uninstall the audio driver in the Device Manager and restart the computer once. The windows will detect and prompt you for the installation of a new audio device driver.

  • "no audio device not detected" with the other oddities

I'm a form of error message 'no audio device detected' each time than trying to use a program with sound.  ITunes, for example, says "Itunes has detected a problem with your sound configuration."  No sound works on the computer at all.  I have a dell Inspiron E1505 with I think it's the integrated audio system.  I tried to reinstall the drivers and that sound showcases are activated and similar these fixes.  Another oddity: sometimes my laptop speakers do weird sounds like it is a kind of bad connection inside, but I opened the computer to check and nothing seems to be wrong.  In addition, once a week ago, I turned on the computer and everything works fine until I closed the computer and opened again to find nothing works again.  Ideas?
