Detection wireless to Satellite L550 driver?

Hi, so I just learned that the reason why my L550 is not able to activate wireless detection (FN + F8 does not work and no manual methods) is probably because the wireless driver has become corrupted and my laptop it dumped in self-defense.
What I was asking is now after having already found the support
Thank you all!

Mcgarnagle salvation,

The wireless network card is listed in the Manager device correctly or yellow exclamation?

If you can t use WLAN connection I think that something is wrong with the driver and you should try to reinstall. Have a look at the Toshiba WLAN portal to get the latest version:

The question can be answered by only one sentence:

These updates are only interesting or important, if something is not working properly or you want to install Windows yourself without recovery disk Toshiba. Then the downloads available.

  • Need Driver LAN for Satellite L550

    Hello
I own a Satellite L550 PSLWTA-00K00G (Australia) and cannot find a working LAN driver for Windows 7 64 bit.
The wireless works very well and has a driver, but the port wired ethernet does not work.

I tried the recommended * driver Realtek LAN Driver * from here: [http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/notebooks/satellite/l550/pslwsa-01000q/download?os=25 | http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/notebooks/satellite/l550/pslwsa-01000q/download?os=25]
And many other drivers from here: [http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp | http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp]

But whenever I run an installer it says * no. Realtek network card detected on this system *.
Is not supposed to because when I Check Device Manager it shows a 'controller PCI of communication Simple' need a driver.

Normally, I don't post requests like this on the forums, but I'm at the end of my mind trying to solve this one.

    Satellite L550 (PSLN8A-00Y008)

On many models of Toshiba WLAN switch is no longer available and WIFI/BT will be enabled/disabled with function keys (FN keys). To work, you must install added Toshiba Value Package and Toshiba Flash Cards Support utility.

You have two of them? Check please if Toshiba flash cards are listed in the startup (run > msconfig > startup).
By the way: you can use the keys FN + Fx?

  • Satellite L550 - 18 M - can find no driver touchpad

    Hello.

I just bought a Toshiba Satellite L550 - 18M and I can't seem to find the drivers for the full use of my touchpad (cannot use the functions of scrolling or zooming).
I tried to install some synaptics from our official site sugestions and some of a Toshiba Satellite L500D synaptics drivers, but it did not help.

    Please send your suggestions.

    Thank you

    Hi mate

I put t know what Windows OS, you have, but I assume you are using Win 7 64 bit. Right?

L550 - 18M belongs to the PSLNEE series.
It seems that there are not many drivers released for this series.
But there are drivers for other series Satellite L550 touchpad.

Alps Electric and Synaptics touchpad drivers are released.
    As a download driver choose;
    -Satellite
    -Satellite L series
    -Satellite L550
    -All (short model)
    -All (operating system)
    -Touchpad driver

Then, you will get all the drivers for the touchpad.

PS: don't forget the touchpad settings in Control Panel-> mouse-> device settings

  • Satellite T135D - cannot detect wireless networks

    I bought a T135D early January.
Everything was happy until one day my laptop decides it cannot detect wireless networks, and even less to connect to one.
I don't think the T135 came with a manual switch, while in the BIOS it says it's on.

The graph with the antenna and 4 bars charge is no longer at startup, or the light that lights up on the front of my laptop. It's frustrating to have this kind of problem so early in the game with the T135D.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello

The wireless network must be activated by pressing the FN + F8 key combination.
    Have you tried that?

    If not, please check it

Of course, you must make sure that the WLan card driver is always up to date.
Here you can find the most recent:

  • Satellite L550 - cannot load the sound driver in Win XP

I bought a Satellite L550 with Vista preinstalled and you want to use XP.
I loaded XP and have no audio device.

I downloaded the Sound Driver TC40072000A.exe but when I run it, it extracts and then does nothing.
I might have need of a few other drivers loaded first?

    Please help, thanks,

    John

    Hello

The laptop needs a Realtek HD audio driver.
You can download the driver directly from the page of the Realtek driver.

But before you try to reinstall the sound driver, you must update the Win XP!
All the service packs, SP2, and SP3 must be installed!
It is very important since the SP3 contains fixes and patches needed.

After installing SP3, you can follow with driver sound

  • Satellite L550-PSLW8E - driver update ATI Radeon HD 4650 Canont

    Hello

I can't update my laptop Satellite L550-PSLW8E-01E00NGR display driver. This is an ATI Radeon HD 4650.
The current version of the driver is 17.08.2009. I tried to update the driver from toshiba, hp, but it the driver is too much since 2009.

And the update of AMD is just the graphics card ATI catalyst SW.
There is no option to update the driver with this SW.

Is there another possibility to update the driver.
I don't know that there is a new version in 2009.

    Thanks for help.

    Hello

If you want to update or install the driver not Toshiba graphics card, you will need to do it in the Device Manager.
There you can choose to update driver and can point to the location where you saved the ATI driver.
This will help to force windows select this driver.

But note; These drivers don't support, overheat protection, which means that in the worst case your GPU could overheat

    MarkWilkins,

The utility of desktop / laptop must be installed first (if applicable), then the drivers from the chipset. If they are NOT installed everything first, then the rest of the drivers will not install.

The fact is that not all series of phones are supported you will need to test

The L500/L550 don't seem to support the switch WLan hardware, but just that the FN + F8 key combination. The downside is that you can not activate the WLan if the compatible driver that controls the FN keys would not be installed.

I read about it in a few discussions, but unfortunately without the use of FN + F8, you will not be able to activate the WLan. :(

  • Satellite L550 - 13K - sharing option working memory?

    Hello

Can someone help please with the performance of the video?

According to the specification of Toshiba video card features an option of memory shared to 1,759 Mb with a w7 64-bit system.
When you play WoW, I video performance issues massive experiancing even when my video options are on the smaller settings. Environmental multi-player my average fps is 6.
Tempro, the system is completely up to date.

Considering the options, I do not deliver if the shared memory option works. During the game the 4 GB internal memory is used for only 42 percent. This would theoretically exclude and have no internal memory. In the past you can allocate memory in the BIOS, but that seems to have been automated. Also the video driver does not seem to give all the options, except for the 3d options where I put the driver memory usage to high.

How to determine if this option actually works? and where it can be configured to force them.

Thank you for your help in advance. H

    Hey Buddy,

Quad is right, there is nothing you can do to improve the memory shared for graphics card. Everything will be controlled automatically. Just make sure that you have the maximum capacity of RAM installed, then you will have more video memory.

Satellite L series is not designed for games. It s great for office, Internet, videos, photos, etc. but not the best laptop for games. As a result, the graphics card is not powerful enough.
A series of satellite is better, but the Qosmio series is ideal for games. :)

  • Satellite L550-1XC - lose my network connection

I recently bought a Satellite L550-1XC running under Windows 7 64-bit. I have a D-link router and two XP machines based on wireless links all very stable. I have connected the Toshiba very easily and he finds the network and the Internet quite easily.

My problem is that the Toshiba randomly loses the network to another PC and printers that are shared on a desktop computer but never loses its Internet connection.

Refresh the network tab can't find the network and it can be 30 or 40 minutes before it will reconnect to the other PC on the network when updating. The signal strength is excellent and the Toshiba can see that several other networks clearly at much lower, neighbouring and other levels. It's very frustrating, reboots do not seem to releive the problem.

Welcome signs because it is driving me crazy. What about Peter

    Hi, Peter D,.

Have you tried updating the driver WLAN? Usually if you always lose the WIFI connection you should try to update this driver. It should work

You can download from the Toshiba WLAN Portal:

  • How to avoid ruining the recovery on Satellite L550 partitions

    Hi all

I recently bought the Satellite L550/010. I'll put another OS on it, but I want to assure you that I can still retrieve its state of origin. It came with the following partitions:

First partition (1.5 GB): contains the directories 'Boot', 'recovery', 'System Volume Information' and 'bootmgr', file 'WinREPartition.ini '.
Second partition (454GB): looks like windows C:
Third partition (11FR): contains the directories 'bin', 'boot', 'images_boot', etc. and files 'bootmgr', 'data.ini', 'editaf.bat', etc.

    So, my questions:
What is the role of each of these partitions? Those who can remove and still be able to use the method of "restoration of the recovery partition? Who can remove and always use the method of "restoration of recovery disks?

    Thank you.

    Hello

above all, don't forget to make a recovery disk.

    > What is the role of each of these partitions?
    > First partition (1.5 GB)

This recovery utility that begins d image to local hard drive file recovery

    > Second partition (GB 454):

There is a partition where to install your current operating system

    > Third partition (11FR)
This is the folder of hard disk image to restore the factory settings of.

Installation of any other Os will move partition and you will not be able to restore the factory settings by using hard disk image file (F8 at startup). This is why I advise you to burn a recovery disk if you decide to install another Os. In this case, a recovery disk will restore factory settings
