The legend certainly makes it look more net as vector. But does the photo! The raster setting seems to make the lower-res images in comparison. In my first edition of my application, I thought that raster would be the best setting when the photo was the subject dominating the page.   I see the freeks screen outside for a bit if you try to pinch and zoom in a vector object (photo) vs raster. Which is disappointing. Does slow down load time/refreshment in frame, which is a little less. I also found that the drop shadows really bad that redraws effect in vector, almost vibrating in a slide show, for example. Thus, in cases where I need shadows, I'm sticking with Raster.

  Hello! you simply go to the Help menu, and then click "update", as in the following screenshot:

  

  It will update Photoshop 13.0.1 (or 13.0.1.1 on a PC) and Camera Raw to 7.2, which can open the D800 files and much more.

  Choose the correct lens manually, then click on "Save new lens default profile is the" configuration of the menu drop down. LR should hold the lens and use it as the default in the future. See screenshot below

  When I opened the different catalogues, it seems that some import settings are specific to this catalogue and others are applicable on any catalogue. For example, the option copy or simply add an image is specific to the catalog, but preset to develop is always used for the last import, or none if it was the option chosen.

  Is it possible to specify a different import develop preset on a basis by catalog? Also, is it possible to specify one develop different pre-set camera model (or maybe the other image attribute) in a catalog?

  Many parameters "last use" tend to be one-by-system, not one-by-catalog.

  While I use multiple catalogs, I never count on these parameters are correct. so I always check them on the assumption that they are bad for the current circumstance.

• Develop Module and the wide range of monitors

  Is the develop module drive different display of the other modules (library, Print, etc.)?

  I ask because I see different, richer and more saturated colors to develop, and a Google search turns up any complaints about this problem, which dates back to 2007.

  I have a Dell UP2516D monitor calibrated with an i1DisplayPro software and i1Profiler XRite.  This monitor is capable of 99% AdobeRGB.

  Having read the other threads on this topic, I checked the following:

  • The monitor is correctly calibrated
  • I have disabled the option of processor use chart
  • The ICC profile is version 2, not version 4

  It's worrying because during the export, the JPEG format resulting looks desaturated images, I see in the library, not the end result of my editing module in the develop module.  Here is a pair of screenshots.  In both cases, the small window is the exported image (JPEG) displayed in the Windows Photo Viewer. The largest window is a partial screenshot of Lightroom.  The screenshot was made by opening the JPEG and then exported by moving the Windows Photo Viewer on the top of the window of Lightroom.

  Even if the answer is Yes, it does not explain why the effect is present even in the screenshots.  Take a screen capture, encode in PNG and then display in the Viewer Windows photo or other non-Lightroom software should eliminate special effects due to LR. The difference is always present in the screenshots, even when displayed on screens less capable, so there must be a problem of mismatch of actual color here.

  If you are using a large monitor range, you can display the correct colors with an application that is color management. Otherwise, you will still see a shift/colorshift.

When I went to the develop module, rather than see my photos, how they looked on my camera, normally in the library module and miniature, the develop module shows my pictures with a rainbow effect reversed of sorts (please see the screengrab). How do I get back it? It shows all my pictures like this in the develop module, not just one.

  This seems to be because of the graphics processor.

  Go to the Lightroom preferences > Performance > uncheck "use the graphics processor.
