Developer Playbook

Nobody knows the developer time for the free receipt of the Playbook, I was approved for free, have the recipte of the blackberry store.

I did a lot of changes to my application, but I would really like to test on a device before submitting it, so I was just curious to know if anyone knew when they started their ship.

Thank you

  • Free alternative IDE for development Playbook?

    Hello

does anyone know any good alternative IDEs for development of Blackberry Playbook?

I guess the requirements I'm looking for is the following:

    + Support ActionScript 3

+ Easy run to the device (via IP address)

    + Blackberry Playbook SDK support?

Eclipse will not work because it lacks proper support for ActionScript - unless someone knows a good plugin - and Netbeans, well, does anyone know any good plugins that I kept on downloading plugins AS2?

During my trial for Flash Builder Burrito is upward, I really want to pay the six hundred - correct me if I'm wrong - dollars.

FlashDevelop and BlackBerry PlayBook development: the basics

for the discussion of the package FlashDevelop free & open source.

I installed it just now and it seems real interesting and seems to be well supported.

I will probably reconsider during my free trial of Flash Builder is in place.

In addition, it was mentioned on webcasts that RIM planned costs of mitigation on Adobe tools for developers PlayBook, but there is no detail given in time.  I think it is total logic for them to do and there are several ways they could help out.

For me that is not a question can I scratch a check for this or that piece of hardware, software or book - the question is where all this ends.  There's just an explosion of platforms and devices, and unless you already have a viable monetization strategy, it has the potential to be nothing more than an expensive hobby, and I already have expensive hobbies.

IMO the economic reality is that underdog platforms will need to continue to the community of developers of seeds in order to get their stores built on app.

RIM could probably do it in a way that is fair to all parties, for example:

    (1) work with Adobe to extend some trial licenses for active developers who submitted X number of apps in the last months of Y.

    2) don first corn cut from several hundred dollars to the RIM 30% from the sale to a developer for a license purchase.

    (3) just hard give a license to any developer showing a showcase app and/or a very popular app, be they free or paying.  Apps that show the platform and that users want it are probably well worth the wholesale price of a license.  Numbers of high download for a soft, free or paid, are the votes of users say they want more applications of this dev.

and I don't know that some creative thinking could give more options that are fair to all parties.

What is the problem that I did, or I forgot something to do, I googled but not found tutorials that may be useful...

It is of great if someone from BB, or forum post a video YouTube video to complete the process is running a HelloWorld cocos2dx for playbook.

    :

You get to use 'Copy projects into workspace' what import? I did this first, but the project does not include the source files, the actual source is not copied with the projects. You must keep the files in their original location (do not copy in your workspace) so they can be referenced from the project directory. After I did this change the project builds and runs correctly .

This gives a try and let us know if it works for you then.

Those of you who have had correspondence with the ideas of TGM, who would be the best person to contact to get my mailing address has changed?

    Thanks for your time!

Just reply to the E-Boutique online order-mail you received and tell them to change the delivery address.

  • Need help developing a Playbook application

I need to write a user interface application based for playbook that needs to interact with C++ code

an existing application of the playbook.

I was wondering what would be the best option

#1 develop the user interface using native C/C++ SDK - interface with C++ application code

#2 develop the user interface using native Java SDK - Java interface for my C++ application

#3 develop the UI using AIR - use a feature of the NDK to interface with C++ library code.

Option #1 seems straight forward. Option #2 and #3 might need an interface to call a C++

    methods of Java or AIR.

As I'm new to developing Playbook applications please let me know what would be the best option.

The PlayBook has no support for Java outside the Android player, resulting in applications with a feeling distinctly not native.

However, AIR has an interface fairly good native extension let's you call native code. AIR also has a current user interface infrastructure which is very good.

The native SDK currently has no native toolkit UI and will not be until the release of Cascades. So if you design your user interface with the native SDK, you will need to bring your own UI toolkit. You'd probably want to focus on Qt.

So, unless you are already a Qt or willing developer to wait for waterfalls you probably want to do UI in the AIR.

    Hey,.

agreed. My fear of the terms for the playbook if there are too many applications for a single category, they start to ignore the rest. but I guess time will tell.

Can someone help me on this?

    Please note:

    1. I tried to search for this problem. It is listed in "known issues http://docs.blackberry.com/en/developers/deliverables/21880/Known_issues_1589462_11.jsp>" and also I came across the same issue http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Web-and-WebWorks-Development/Need-help-in-running-sample-Play... >. But the proposed solutions, he has not worked for me.
    2. I didn't use any special charecters or spaces in the command I gave.

    Hi all...

Hoping that this response will help someone.

I was able to solve the problem mentioned above. It's still "white space error. As you can see in the verbose messages, windows 'TEMP' path a "white spaces." So change in temp path of windows in "C:\TEMP" solved the problem for me.

    I found the solution from http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Web-and-WebWorks-Development/Playbook-WebWork-Error-compiling... >

    Note:

You can set these environment variables in "Advanced System Properties".

  • Android-BB version IPA from Google who purchases can I use to get the correct answer?

    Hello

I packed up our Android app to use on the Playbook and everything works. The only problem is with in the purchases, he said.

For in app purchase I've supported on the verification of the signatures of SKU and transaction.

To test, I followed this instruction
    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/Android-runtime-development/PlayBook-Beta-2-1-in-app-payments...

I can download the app but its not answered. In-app purchase does not work.

At the same station, few people said that Google IPA V3.0 does not work. We use Google API V3.0 in fact, Google has published IAP V5.0 we are in the process of integration that.

I want to know which Google IPA versions works perfectly fine with BB, I can see V3 and V5 are not working. So should I try with V2, in fact Google has deprecated code V2, so just wanted confirmation of any developer of BB on the version of the IAP, what version should be used?

    Thank you!
    Adeline

    Hello Olivier,.

You can use v2. Version 3 uses the SDK to play from Google that is not supported.

For additional questions on payments app, see our documentation at: https://developer.blackberry.com/android/apisupport/apisupport_inapp_payments_support.html

    See you soon,.

  • SDK installation problems

I went through the SDK entire installation, such as described on page "setting up the development environment.

I asked for the smartphone code signing keys and received 3 *.csi files.

I downloaded and installed the native SDK BB10

I downloaded and installed VMWare Fusion followed by the simulator which I am able to run and get the IP as shown in the guide.

I then run the dev environment and go through the wizard of Blackberry deployment configuration (again, as indicated).

He finds my Simulator IP automatically and I make the record of signature when he asks Supreme COURT files. I have none so I select the last option that says I don't have them and move forward. The tab debugging tokens is omitted and I cliquerai finish.

I then creates a sample application, as indicated in the guide, but I can not perform the step #2.

«In the Project Explorer view, double-click the file of the bar - descriptor.xml, then click on the button set debug Token to set the application author information.»

I have a popup indicating that I have no debugging token value.

I build the application, which is the step #3. But when I run it (#4), I get a popup configurations run indicating that I must select a target.

Anyone know where I was wrong? Not as simple a setup as I had hoped.

    PS. running on a Mac.

    Thanks for your help.

CSI files are for the development of smartphone, SJC are development PlayBook and BB10. You will need to order and save a set of files of the CFS to create and test applications BB10/PlayBook:

    https://www.BlackBerry.com/SignedKeys/

Let me know if you have problems with registration of keys.
