  • Configuration invalid error card NIC ON device "0" when connecting.

    Hello everyone.

After restarting the host due to hardware problem, we found several VM disconnected from the network, when I tried to connect all them have error "Configuration not valid device error ' 0 '.

I removed and re - add card NIC that it worked, but it of busy time, is there a convenient way to solve this problem as I have no local password for many of the virtual machine.

    Thanks in advance!

    Ajay!

Please try below step that seems easier for multiple VM when they are already under pressure.

SSH to the host and determine the VMID for the VM assigned using the command:
    Vim - cmd vmsvc/getallvms | grep-i VMNAME
Use the VMID from the command in step 1 to reload the configuration on the host computer by running the command:
    Vim - cmd vmsvc/reload VMID

Change the settings of the virtual machine and select 'connect '.

  • Cards (NICs) Ethernet in the RAC configuration

    DB version: 11g

I came across this nice link on the RAC configuration
    http://www.akadia.com/services/ora_rac.html

    Question 1.

Cons. in the diagram, I can see eth0 and eth1 in both nodes. They are physical maps ethernet (NIC). Right?

    Question 2.
Each node has 2 ethernet cards is common in the industry. Right?

    Question 3.
For Private InterConnect ===>One ethernet card from each node, connected via Switch1

For Public InterConnect plus Connection to Shared storage  ====> One ethernet card from each node, connected via Switch2
This is the standard practice in Production DBs?

A question that you asked and there are very important with regard to the questions you have asked - what is the best technology to use for interconnection (private network and switch)?

And is not ethernet (as shown in this diagram you mentioned). The speed and scalability of the interconnection have a major impact on the performance of the cluster.

Gig-ethernet is limited in scalability and features. 10 Gb/s is the maximum. The standard of 1 Gbps. It does not support SDP (Sockets Direct Protocol), SRP (SCSI RDMA/Remote direct memory access Protocol) and so on. (although SRP specifications were available to sellers for implementing ethernet).

If you look at what Oracle Database Machine and Exadata storage servers is using, this is Infiniband... and protocols such as SRP.

InfiniBand out-of-the-box works at 40 Gbit/s (extendable up to 120 GB/s). Port to port latency is as low as 60ns (and still less with hardware and new technologies of the IB).

I don't see how GigE even thinking to challenge Infiniband with in this regard. Especially since Oracle himself chose as the interconnection architecture (and layer of communication of storage) for the fastest CARS ever built systems.

And no, it's not expensive either. Our IB material cost us really less similar material GigE.

  • Networking of Ghost 15 SRD can't find Ethernet card

I don't know when this started to become a problem, but the support for networking in the Ghost 15 SRD (System Recovery disk) can locate is the ethernet card in my W520. The adapter works correctly under Win7_Pro64. DRS uses WinPE32 to the recovery environment if the driver for the card should be in the operating system. My backup images are stored on my NAS, so recovery now has copy me on a USB in order to apply an image. Any ideas on why it has stopped working?

    Thank you

I downloaded a new Ghost 15 SRD (15.01) and integrated 32-bit driver for the Intel 82579LM Gigabit (e1c6032 in the NDIS61 folder) network connection. The tool provided in Ghost 15 builds the custom SRD. You can also integrate USB 3.0 drivers as well so that all ports can be used, USB 2.0 ports.

  • Card drivers NETWORK A330 Pavilion

I am trying to put in place a new XP pro installation without the original CD that came with the machine, and are now lost. The XP installation was fine, but obviously some of the hardware devices require drivers. The key is the driver for the CARD. I downloaded the original file of network devices on the site and extracted a session on the computer. I see that there are four subdirectories operation driver sets - nforce, realtek, sis, and via. Each subdirectory has its .inf file. I have no idea which NIC is in the computer.

When I try to reinstall a driver through a device manages for the Ethernet controller (that currently displays a note of explanation), it does not find the information he needs from any of the four subdirectories. Someone has ideas about what I'm doing wrong or do?

    Strewth, that was quick.

My answer, after trying the links you have kindly provided, won't be so fast - the additional complication is that my son works nights my next effort on his computer is likely to be the next weekend.

    Kind regards

  • Satellite L40-139 - ethernet card.

Try to install broadband s/w on the new laptop, but it tells me that I need an ethernet card. What Bing Crosby is that and how do I get one? I asked at PC World, which were useless. Can I do it myself or do I have someone technical?

    Hello Rod

I don't really know what you're doing wrong, but your laptop comes with OS pre-installed and configured. The network card on your laptop should be configured correctly and if you connect the LAN cable in LAN port (in the middle of the back) the Green LED should be lit. If you use Internet orange LED should blink.

Then please give us a little more info about your laptop. There your laptop to factory settings of your laptop or your own installation of the OS? Check please if the network adapter is listed and installed properly in Device Manager.

  • two cards nic and vista always shooses one with no cable

I'm going NUTS. Windows Vista ultimate 64 works fine on this machine. However, I have two nic cards and every time I restart vista chooses to try to connect to the internet with one that is disconnected. I tried to disable an and happening always. UNDER XP, I never had this problem. I nominated which card to use. I am a technician A + and I am ready to throw this thing out the window. I thought actaully get 7 for my partner's computer, but maybe it's a bad idea too.

Disabled the device through network or the Device Manager? Also is the integrated network interface card? If yes you can disable it in the bios.

  • The upgrade card NIC to onboard LAN, Windows 7

Hello everyone. Have a basic question for the upgrade of the Ethernet card or the card NETWORK on my Compaq Presario under W7 Home Premium. Initially, this machine ran Vista. I installed a PCI 3Com NIC {3Com EtherLink 10/100 PCI TX NIC (3C905B-TX)}. Windows Update find the required driver. When this was done I disabled the on-board LAN, this automatically disabled the LAN Boot ROM edge It is advised to disable the onboard LAN or the computer will work without problems with the LAN on board and 3COM PCI card as both enabled. I would appreciate your comments.

  • ERROR WITH "DELL WIRELESS WLAN CARD WIRELESS NETWORK CONTROLLER.

GOT AN ERROR MESSAGE SAYING "DELL WIRELESS WLAN CARD WIRELESS NETWORK CONTROLLER STOPPED WORKING AND WAS CLOSED" AND NEED TO FIX. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

    Hello

Actually try updating your driver and check with Dell Support and Forums if necessary.

Control Panel - network - write down of the brand and the model of the Wifi - double click top - tab of the driver - write
version - click the driver update (cannot do something that MS is far behind the pilots of certification). Then
Right click on the Wifi device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver stack.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

    Dell - drivers

You can download several at once however restart after the installation of each of them.

After watching the system manufacturer, you can check the manufacturer of the device an even newer version. (The
manufacturer of system become your backup policies).

Repeat for network (NIC) card and is a good time to get the other updated drivers as Vista like
    updated drivers.

I would also turn off auto update for the drivers. If the updates Windows suggests a just HIDE as they
are almost always old, and you can search drivers manually as needed.

  • T500 - Ethernet card downgrades itself to 10 MB when the system is "inactive".

I had this problem with my ethernet card that I can't understand... I'm on the latest version of the Intel 82567 pilot.  It seems like quite often when I'm away from my computer the system goes into mode 'low power' or something and because of that my connection gigabit sometimes gets reduced to 10 MB.  When I encounter this I disable/re-enable the adapter so that he can return to the gigabit.  Enyone else has encountered this and can offer a solution here?  I'm running Vista 32 bit.

This setting can be configured in the properties of the device. Go to network connections-> right click on connection to the Local network (or whatever you named it)-> properties-> configuration-> advanced slot, you should see the option you want. This downgrade was designed to be a function of savings the card power. If you don't see this option on the Advanced tab, install the following driver from Intel:

    http://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/Filter_Results.aspx?strTypes=all&ProductID=3003&OSFullName=Windows+V... * + Ultimate 2% C + 32 - bits + version & lang = eng & strOSs = 156 & submit = Go!

  • Ethernet card Question (HP Probook 4525 s XT950UT) Windows 7

    Hello

I am in College in the fall and my dorm has ports ethernet for internet usage. I did some research and found that I need to have an ethernet card installed to connect my laptop with an ethernet port. I have a port on my laptop, but I couldn't find the ethernet card in the--> network adapters Device Manager. I don't have Bluetooth (Personal Area Network), Bluetooth (RFCPMM TDI Protocol), Broadcom and Wifi Miniport to adapt. How will I know if I have an installed ethernet card and if I did, how I install one?

    Hello:

Your laptop has a setting in the BIOS called LAN Power Save.

When you are not connected to the a/c power and your laptop is not connected with an ethernet cable, your wired network card appears not in Device Manager, as it has been disabled in the BIOS to save batteries.

You can connect a cable to the ethernet port on your and your wired adapter should come to life. If it isn't and you intend to have your laptop connected to the a/c power, when connected via the ethernet cable, just go into the BIOS and disable the LAN Power Save setting, and your wired adapter will always be present and available in the nursery of dev.

Another common parameter in professional laptops from HP's BIOS is the LAN/WLAN, commissioning. When you connect to a wireless network, your wireless card automatically by turns and visa versa.

If you don't want that to happen either, then disable the setting.
