Devices on Thinkpad Z61m Reording

On my Lenovo Thinkpad, I can see that a SINGLE DEVICE 24/24: microphone (no entry line,...)

I installed the latest drivers via update for the system ThinkvantageTechnologies 4.

In Device Manager, I see no errors:

Sound driver: SoundMAX Integrated Digital HD Audio with the Version of the driver 6.10.1.7255

My configuration is:

Lenovo ThinkPad Z61m

RAM: 3 GB

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate - 32 bit

is a strange thing: I installed the VM v7.1 on my pre-installed and there I CAN see several recording devices.

for this purpose I guess that it is a driver problem.

Can someone help me with this please?

I thank very you much for the quick response. Now I know that it is a 'feature', not a bug. Very much appreciated.

  • No sound - unknown devices on Thinkpad T60 (with xp sp3, sp2 no)

    Hello!

    I have reinstalled xp on my T60 (sp3, sp2 no) and there are 2 unknown devices in Device Manager (1st: ACPI/TPM1200 2nd: HDAUDIO/FUNC). There is no sound on it.

    I tried the drivers on the internet and I read: atmel tpm for the 1st, audiodriver (or modem!) for the 2nd.

    I found (barely) and I have installed atmel/TPM but the yellow circle with an exclamation mark is still there.

    I n "t see any audio driver for xp on the T60 (only audio features...) on the lenovo site.

    What must I do to get the sound on my laptop?

    Thank you very much.

    You should maybe download Lenovo Thinkvantage System Update and let it download the right driver for you.

  • Deleted device Bluetooth Device - IBM Thinkpad T60, Vista Business

    Hello

    What now?

    For unknown reasons, could my laptop speakers no sound.  In addition to investigation of Device Manager, noticed that this sound card has the installed Bluetooth headset.  In my anxiety to solve the problem, I accidentally uninstall and remove the Bluetooth driver headset & microphone.  Although I "return" my SoundMAX Integrated Digital HD Audio drivers after reboot, I am now faced with the question of the peripheral device bluetooth is not available and the pop message each time that I reboot.  I tried to install it, but in vain.

    What should I do to install the bluetooth device driver?

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

    I downloaded the firmware on the Lenovo Support site; Run the .exe file. restart the computer and when the system ask you to bluetooth device, I "directed" it to the drivers on c:\SWTOOLS\DRIVERS\TPBTooth; Bingo.

  • Z61m modernization project

    Hello! I do what project to study/hobby tech mine using an old Thinkpad Z61m isa I had for a few years.

    Now I have buit in numerous jobs over the last 5 years, but laptops I have nevery really tried to upgrade/repair up to now.

    Before the major part of the project (e.g. upgrading the cpu and the gpu eventually) I have a few questions.

    1. can I put a T9300 or higher? I know that it can take a T7200 and perhaps a T7800, but it might take a series T9XXX processors?

    2. can it support 4 GB of ram? The site says only 3 GB despite being a 32/64-bit system.

    3. can the gpu (an ATI Mobility RADEON X 1400 128 MB) be removed/upgraded to a X 1600 or higher?

    4. because I have to replace the screen anyway since it's broken, y at - it a screen I can replace by which takes care of 1920 x 1200 (I don't think the old man a fact.)

    At this time I disassembled the laptop, so virtually any piece of it can be added/removed at any time.

    All major components (except the battery ram and bios have been disconnected or removed from the motherboard.

    Its current specifications are:

    CPU: Intel Centrino Duo (Core2Duo) T2300E to 1.66 GHz

    GPU: ATI Mobility RADEON X 1400 128 MB

    RAM: 1 gb (2x512MB sticks of DDR2 667 MHz? Not sure, do not check)

    What I'm planning on upgrading to:

    Processor: Intel Centrino Duo (Core2Duo) T7800(2.6GHz) or T9900(3.06GHz) if possible

    GPU: ATI Mobility RADEON X 1900 256 MB

    RAM: 4 GB (2x2gb DDR2 sticks to 667 MHz)

    If you need pictures of the laptop / pieces just me message.

    Welcome to the forum!

    (1) the faster the CPU Z61m there T7600. Don't be confused by the "61" designation: equivalent of Z61 models R60 and T60, aren't their * 61 brothers and sisters.

    (2) n °, 4 GB of RAM will be 'seen' in the BIOS, but the chipset limitation is 3 GB no matter the OS used.

    (3) n ° the GPU is soldered to the motherboard. You can use a planar Z61p with V5200 GPUS, but it's as good as it gets. Not worth it IMO and I have owned several of these machines.

    (4) Yes. Any LCD WUXGA Z61p and T61p, T500, W500 will work. Could require another cable, check the HMM.

    Good luck.

  • Z61m: Replacement of LCD Panel (WSXGA + WUXGA)

    I own ThinkPad Z61m (Type 9450-HAG). Unfortunately the LCD does not any more (only the first third of the works of the display).

    I consider replacing the LCD screen (WSXGA +, FRU No.: 13N7020).

    Is it possible to replace the original panel with WUXGA Panel - 13N7198 or 13N7178?

    If it is possible, is it enough just to replace the or it is also necessary to replace the other laptop parts and/or upgrade the BIOS or other software?

    In this case, you should be all set once you replace the LCD screen. Your graphics card drive without question, he's fine.

    Good luck and we keep abreast.

  • Intel AMT T400s: Can´t access Intel ME Bios Extension

    Hello

    Im trying to get AMT working on our devices of ThinkPad T400s. I have instaled the bios most recent and amt firmware and still not be able to access the BIos Intel ME Im Extension. I tried CTRL + P and F2 and other combinations. Can someone help me?

    Best regards Malta

    I struggled with this as well for a bit, the path to get there is not logical, but it is here:

    Press the blue button (Thinkadvantage)., press F12 for a temporary boot device. If AMT is enabled in the BIOS, you should be able to see . Press, enter "admin" as password and you get invited to define a new advanced Word, once this is done you can view all of the AMT settings.

  • Problem of massive networking makes me crazy

    I just got a laptop Lenovo Thinkpad Z61m of father girlfriends. He switched to a Mac, it has never used the Lenovo.

    Is the product ID: 9450FKU

    Its running Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2.

    It runs quickly and everything, but the Thinkvantage software is wobbly. The first time I turned it on I had to go through the motions of his first run installation. After that, I created a backup of recovery. Then, I used the Thinkvantage Access connections to create a profile of home for my Wi - Fi. I got my added wireless network and was able to connect... Everything seemed fine, until I tried to do the same thing for my ethernet connection. It is not the first time, try to connect. Gave me the error code 030. DHCP server error. Then the Active Protection System jumped ball saying that its sensor was defective and run PC Doctor to diagnose. So I did and after a reboot. It would not be all connect wirelessly using the same settimgs. If I did a restore to my first backup it would work very well. Whenever I try to make connections or install anything having to do with interntet or use diagnoses it messes up. ThinkVantage access connections is shit. I tried all the basic tent tricks to fix it. I have updated to Service pack 3, .net framework. Toolbox ThinkVantage access connections updated and updates that I thought would fix it, nothing helps. I plan to reinstall XP Professional.

    Suggestions?

  • New SSD, X 220, the easiest path for Win8

    I have a 2011 x 220 with windows-powered stock 7 320 HDD. I replace the HDD with a Samsung 840 500 GB SDD stock and who arrives in the mail tomorrow. I want to run Windows 8 above to enjoy the lightning quick boot time. I played around with it enough to decide that it is tolerable after the installation of the application of the classic interface to retrieve my Start menu.

    (My question is should I do a clean install of Windows 8) I read that you did buying a windows pc 7, you can do a clean install on another machine and it does not check if win7 is currently the SSD or HARD disk) on the new drive SSD and just install or update each device driver manually or have the LONG PATH that is :

    R & R and the DVD USB drive to install windows 7 on SSD. Make a gazillion updated hardware and software using windows update and TVSU, and restart a dozen times. Then install the upgrade of windows 8 by recommendation of Lenovo. Restart, and then delete the recovery partition.

    A clean installation seems to be the fastest without a lot of unnecessary work, even though it may not work 100% at first, until all windows drivers correct 8 are installed.

    I think that the new clean install of windows 8 will be faster especially if I have all ready software on a USB key and win8 pilots.

    Hello

    My personal preference in the past has always been to perform a clean installation of Microsoft Windows after downloading all device drivers and software I need and of have unpacked them and ready to install once completed the upgrade of the operating system. Software Lenovo ThinkVantage System Update makes it quite painless to do a clean install, as it will automatically detect and install drivers missing device and ThinkPad software.

    However, I played a bit with some test the upgrade of Windows 7 systems to Windows 8, and it has worked every time. So anyway would seem to work.

    One thing to keep in mind is that you can create a USB flash drive bootable with Windows 8 quite easily using Microsoft Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool (it also seems to work as well for Windows Vista).  Very useful if you plan to try different installation methods or all just happen to have a spare 4 GB USB stick lying around.

    Kind regards

  • Presentation of Center Setup for video and 3D

    I want to be able to have a slide show that includes still images, text, video and 3D. I use InDesign, but it is quite restrictive. PowerPoint and others have similar constraints.

    I can get a simple Flash presentation with embedded video, etc.  but it is generally impossible to predict the resolution of the projector that I will use. Where my question:

    How can I build a model of Flash presentation that I'll be able to conveniently reuse and that will be resizable?

    Option 1. Is it possible to Flash across the scene and all the content proportionally, as PowerPoint or Acrobat can do (with black areas if the screen ratios are different)?

    Option 2. What is the reasonable path to make resizable/edjustable content? I watched this (starling + feathers)

    http://www.Adobe.com/devnet/flash/articles/designing-MULTIDEVICE-MULTIRESOLUTION.edu.html

    I like the use of the 3D scene, but these frameworks don't seem like a good match. It is slow to change the content (I need to make a new presentation regularly) and I won't be using most of the features. It might work if I build several types of pages and reuse them maybe but I suspect that there should be an easier way.

    Thanks for the tips and pointers

    Maya

    This function you will go far:

    function goScaledFullScreen()

    {

    var screenRectangle:Rectangle = new Rectangle (0,0,stage.stageWidth,stage.stageHeight);

    stage.fullScreenSourceRect = screenRectangle;

    stage.displayState = StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN;

    internship. Quality = StageQuality.BEST;

    }

    Regardless of your actual monitor resoulution that it will scale to the top of any content that you could load via the loader to the resolution full screen.

    It has its limitations if: on a Mobile device, it will not reorder the content if you rotate the unit from landscape to Portrait mode. Also, if you have content that is behind the scenes you will need to use masks if the aspect ratio of instructors differs from your presentation, his.

    You can use the class of features to get the real ResolutionX/ResolutionY of the device that is running your presentation.

    You might want to inform your presentation somehow if the resolution gets changed through the Resize event

    If the size is not a problem, you could prepare your presentation in the best possible quality (e.g. HD) because of the downsizing in general much better (qualitywise) that migration.

  • ThinkPad W520 Win7 Bluetooth device not recognized by Windows 7

    Hi all

    Just got my Thinkpad W520 4270 CTO with bluetooth installed. It was a work station BACK I installed Win 7 x 64 Ultimate on and I finally got all the drivers installed, but the bluetooth software says it is no BT device connected to my laptop. I checked the BIOS settings and confirmed that the BT is enabled. I even turned off, saved, then he helped turn. Hit the Fn + 5 combo does not trigger the light or no matter what 'Found New Hardware'. When the laptop starts first BT light flashes and the wifi led and the HARD drive activity light. I was not yet able to load another OS, but I download Arch Linux and BackTrack 5 to test to see that it is perhaps a problem with OS.

    Thoughts or ideas would be useful, it seems that my Google-Fu me has missed as well.

    EDIT: I realize in the sticky on the "do not update the bluetooth drivers" but I do not get my bluetooth to work at all, not even recognized by the operating system as an "unknown device".

    I thought about it. It is ridiculously easy. Download the drivers for the keyboard shortcut key and install. It allow you to use the functions at the top of your keyboard, and then after reboot, press Fn + F5 and will you will get a menu to activate the Bluetooth on the operating system, then Win7 should detect and install the drivers for it, or you can download those from the Lenovo site.

    This should indeed be the card reader.
