  Hey. I have a x 230 with the 4000 series Intel gpu and I still get random brightness changes according to what is on the screen at the time and in what proportion of the screen it occupies. It's actually makes me crazy.

Everything is updated and the problem also manifests itself in the virtual machines running various flavors of Linux.   Before you try the procedure below, change the security settings for the firewall at various levels and check if the problem persists.

  I suggest you to update the network drivers.

  Steps to update of network driver:

  4. now, select Properties.

  The most likely explanation is NetFlix changed something in their routine of authentication (i.e. SOAP structure or just a URL string, whatever) and who broke the Vista NetFlix WMC client.
