DHCP mit unterschiedlichen Vlan

Hallo zusammen,

I have following question:

Habe von meiner ESX Fram drei konfiguriert virtual switch.

1 x Service Console

1 x Vmotion Netzwerk

1 x Client/Servernetzwerk

Ist das Client/Servernetzwerk in different VLAN aufgeteilt.

Is the opportunity, auf ESX ebony, den different VLAN auch different zuzuordnen DHCP server?

Die configuration would folgendermassen shown werden:

Server im 10.1.x.x Netzwerk = DHCP Server1

Server im Netzwerk 10.5.x.x = DHCP Server 2

  • Selection extended DHCP and several VLANs

I have a switch that has 2 VLANS: vlan 2 and vlan 3 - and both computers are connected to the switch where each PC is a member of one of VLAN.

    PC2 = VLAN2

    PC3 = VLAN3

The switch is connected to a router that acts as a DHCP server with several 3 DHCP scopes for each of VLAN, basically a simple configuration "router on a stick".  This question has been confusing me for some time: How does the router knows what dhcp scope to assign an IP address to a particular computer?

Let's say PC2 is now trying to get an IP address from the DHCP server, I know initially that he will send a DHCP DISCOVER broadcast to the router message and I assume that the router will know the VLAN demand coming as well based on the information contained in the package. But how the router discerns what scope to assign IP address to PC2 especially if I need PC2 to have an IP address in the subnet 192.168.2.0 and NOT 192.168.3.0 or vice versa?  The controls of such a choice?

    IP dhcp pool vlan1

    DHCP excluded-address IP 192.168.2.1 192.168.2.10

    DHCP excluded-address IP 192.168.3.1 192.168.3.10

    THX sc.

    Hi Sherwin,

It's will be very simple. I guess that on the router configuration stick will have something like below.

    FAS int 0/0.2

    encapsulation dot1q 2

    IP 192.168.2.1 255.255.255.0

    FAS int 0/0.3

    encapsulation dot1q 3

    address 192.168.3.1 IP 255.255.255.0

Now when a PC that is connected to the VLAN 2 send a DHCP broadcast this program is received by the interface that belongs to the same broadcast domain (VLAN 2). This broadcast is received by the Fas 0/0.2 and this has encapsulation dot1q sub interface 2 and so it will be part of the same broadcast domain (VLAN 2). If the router will search if there is no DHCP scope configured for the ip range on the interface sub Fas 0/0, 2. Now, router knows the 192.168.2.0 extended DHCP and assign the IP range of this scope to any PC in the VLAN2.

    I hope this helps.

  • DHCP to a VLAN

    Hi all

I have a router Cisco 2621XM running IOS version 12.3 (9) I believe, and it is connected to a Cisco's Cataylst 2950 switch. Basically, I have two VLAN dot1q running. I would like to know if the router or switch can run DHCP on my 2nd VLAN only. In my first VLAN I have a Windows 2003 DHCP server. I don't want to do something a little bootp to DHCP from Windows because the two networks VIRTUAL server are using different Ip settings. If possible, can someone give me a little demo config.

    Thank you much at all.

    Stevan

You have a few options for this.

You can add an address of IP pointing to Server 2003 on the interface vlan 2621 for assistance the vlan 2 for the router will redirect all DHCP requests on the Windows 2003 server. You just create a 2nd for the vlan 2.

Your DHCP server is based that scope by hand out of the base on the transferred packets address.

You can also configure DHCP as you thought on the router for the vlan 2. Here is a link to the setup guide that includes a few examples:

    http://www.Cisco.com/univercd/CC/TD/doc/product/software/ios122/122cgcr/fipr_c/ipcprt1/1cfdhcp.htm

    hope this helps,

  • Problem with DHCP broadcast between VLAN

    Hello

I trying to solve the lab that I set up, I have a problem with broadcast between VLANS with my DHCP. I looked around the vmware community to find my answer, but I did not who is right why I post here!

    So here's my situation :

    • ESX with 2 race of VM:
      • An R2 of 2012 Windows running a DHCP server with a configured scope
        • This virtual machine is assigned to the vmnic4 with the port VLAN 100 group
      • A Windows 7, which I use as a customer
        • This virtual machine is assigned to the vmnic4 with the port VLAN 110 group
    • Switch Cisco with a simple configuration:

    interface FastEthernet0/1

    Description LINK FOR ESX

    switchport mode trunk

    switchport nonegotiate

    interface FastEthernet0/24

    Description OF LINK ROUTER

    switchport mode trunk

    • Configuration of the Cisco "router on the stick:

    interface FastEthernet0/0.100

    encapsulation dot1q 100

    10.1.1.254 IP address 255.255.255.0

    interface FastEthernet0/0,110

    encapsulation dot1q 110

    IP 10.1.2.254 255.255.255.0

    IP helper 10.1.1.0

The resolution of the problems that I did:

    • Affecting the client static IP and that both virtual machine can ping each other
    • Moving from the client to the same VLAN as DHCP server, and the DHCP server is to give the client an IP address.
    • Sniffing the packet:
      • I can see the client DHCPDiscover
      • I can see the router with the command "debug ip dhcp server packet" package passed on the 10.1.1.0.
      • I am not able to see the packets from the router to DHCP perspective

That's why I guess miss me something ESX configuration.

Thanks in advance for reading this post!

PS: I've linked a vswitch configuration screenshot

I think that you have configured an incorrect address of IP support, take a look at the following line:

    IP helper 10.1.1.0

Your DCHP server is really 10.1.1.0? I think not, since 10.1.1.0 corresponds to the ID of the network 10.1.1.0/24 network.

  • DHCP server press PowerConnect 28xx series / address pool by VLAN

    Hello

I am reading the manual of the PowerConnect 2824.

I am considering buying this switch, but I have a question related to the functionality of the DHCP server.

Here my question: I want to have different VLAN and use the feature of DHCP server on each of them. Then can I have different address DHCP pools by VLAN?

    Example:

    1-16 ports VLAN1: IP subnet 192.168.1.0/24

    VLAN 2 ports 17-24: IP subnet 192.168.2.0/24

The manual is not clear on this.

    Your help is welcome.

    Kind regards

    Tom

    Daniel,

Thanks for the reply. Another question does this mean that the 28xx series switch DHCP server, recover the IP address (from the range configured) on all the VLANS configured? So if a device on VLAN 2 issued a request DHCP, it will get an IP address from the same pool as for example a device on VLAN 1.

    Kind regards

  • VLAN voice N3048P and DHCP issues

    Hello

I just received several switches for our N3048P and 2 x 4048 access layer - WE for our base layer. Are the N3048P VLT'd between two of 4048. There are 4 x N3048P of one on the other. The 4048 possess all gateways via VRRP.

I have 802. 1 x works with my Windows client test, and I can get the phone (Cisco 7941) to acquire a DHCP address if I put it on a port "switchport mode access. However, if I change the port to a general port with vlan enabled voice and 802. 1 x, the phone does not have a DHCP address, but the PC attached to the phone Gets a DHCP address in the VLAN correct.

I see CDP and LLDP messages exchanged via Wireshark, and it seems that the phone and the switch are to exchange the VLAN voice correctly.

My question is, why the phone can't one address DHCP?

That ends up being the correct port configuration:

    Gi2/0/1 interface

    disable voice vlan auth

The most important line here is «the dot1x port-control on mac» I got 'auto control by port dot1x' configured, but it does not work as expected. In addition, defining the comments-vlan-period and supp-timeout were necessary. If the port was shot, the switch would not necessarily reauth port.

  • Pwerconnect 6224: vlan client computers do not receive the ip address of DHCP server on a different VLAN

    Hello

I have a prolem routing dhcp requests between the vlan management where DHCP server resides and the other VLANs.

I have the scenario of base with three VLANS: vlan 10 (management vlan), 20, 30, configured on a Powerconnect 6224 switch L2 mode. This switch is connected to a pfsense router. The router is configured at the package of road between the VLANS and it does it well.

In Vlan 10, I have a configured DHCP server to use the ip addresses of all the VLANS (10, 20, 30). VLAN 10 client computers receive ip address but not others from other VLANs.

When I put the ip address in the appropriate range of VLANs manually on computers, I ping the server and I have connectivity.

This suggests that the problem is with the dhcp package.

The DHCP server stores information that could be useful? May need to configure monitoring ports and something as wireshark to monitor DHCP packets. This would help determine where the package is stopping.

    example:

Console (config) #monitor session 1 source interface 1/g8

Console (config) #monitor session 1 destination interface 1/g10

session mode 1 #monitor console (config)

right now I don't see anything in the config of the switch that stands out. If the DHCP server is configured for option 82, then you will need to include the following command on the switch.

    Example:

    Trust l2relay console #dhcp (config-if-1/g1)

But I don't think that's our scenario here.

  • problem with dhcp Cisco sg200 voice vlan

I have cisco sg200 50 p connected to the switch cisco 3750. I just wanted to separate voice (vlan2) and data (vlan1) VLAN. I created vlan 2 as my voice VLAN and separate dhcp server for vlan 2 to give IPS for phones. However the phone ip connected to my voice vlan (vlan 2) does not receive the ip address of my dhcp server vlan 2.

the dhcp server is connected to a switch with an access port (vlan2-voice) 3750

two switches are connected through the trunk ports and allowed vlan 1 & 2

IP phone is connected to sg200 via the access port (vlan 2).

Note: there is a pc connected to the ip phone

I'm really grateful if someone can help me with this problem

    Hi Ruchiran,

To cover the base, ensure that VLAN 2 is added to the database VLAN on the 3750. Simple by using the command "show vlan id 2", if it is not found, you must first create the VLAN 2 on the 3750.

Second, if you connect the same IP phone directly to the 3750 on an access port, vlan 2 unidentified, is the phone receives IP address as you hope?

Then, on the trunk of 3750 connection to the SX200. Building the trunk when using a command like "switchport trunk allowed vlan remove 1-4094," then build the trunk more precisely with the VLAN ' trunk switchport allowed vlan add 2 "who will score 2 VLAN port." "

On the SG200 switch, must be defined the trunk and VLAN Tag 2 on the port to connect to 3750 then the connection to the phone port should be 2 VLANS not identified as access port.

  • SG300-20 - configure DHCP on the interface VLAN

I have read the different partners of the discussions on the SG300 and SG500 going on regarding the high setting of VLAN and DHCP on VIRTUAL networks.  For some reason, I could not get even this simple task to work.

First thing I did was update my version firmware and boot as follows:

SW version 1.3.7.18 (date of 12 January 2014 time 18:02:59)

Start the 1.3.5.06 version (dated 21 July 2013 times 15:12:10)

    HW version V02

When I rebooted the SG300 after the SW/Boot updates the boot configuration has been crushed and I had to configure my switch from scratch.  The intention is to have two VIRTUAL networks:

VLAN 1: all the devices, servers, etc.

VLAN 2: subnet basis which distributes DHCP addresses

The SG300-20 is connected to a router Asus RT-AC66U on the 192.168.1.x subnet and provides access to the internal network and WiFi access (IP address of the router is 192.168.1.1 and the default gateway).  Everything works without any problem.  So my task is simply to create 2 VLANS on 192.168.2.x subnet and use DHCP to assign addresses.  I spent many hours on it and I still can't get it to work.  When I connect a laptop to the port (GI8) assigned to 2 VLANS, I end up finding a few wobbly 169.254.x.x address.  I definitely thought something would not 'easy' that hard to set up, but apparently I was wrong.

The SG300 is running in mode L3 as shown in my running-config below.

Someone gets to see something which could prevent my client from the laptop to receive the interface VLAN 2 DHCP IP addresses that are not on the 192.168.2.x subnet?

Any ideas / suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

  • SG500 associate VLAN for DHCP server/pool

Where in the web gui you associate a pool of servers/DHCP with a VLAN?  The closet I can find would be IP Config > management of IP Interfaces & > interface IPv4 but whenever I put and IP to the VLAN I need to cycle power to access the GUI again.  I have 192.168.244.100 - 249 and 2 pools named 192.168.222.100 - 249.  VLANS are 1, 222 & 244.  I know that I can dig up old tickets and my Indigo terminal emulator library and do it using the CLI but I set about doing this through the GUI, but I can well do anything other than what I tried above that looks like it will associate a VLAN to the subnet and that is just the switch hook.

FYI, I have day the FW and Boot last night at the latest.

Hello Vini, this behavior is correct.

    First do something like

The default IP address is 192.168.1.254 example would be

    config t

    int vlan 1

    192.168.1.254/24 IP address

Once this is done you can change your other vlans as wanted.

  • Several VLANS and DHCP relay on two stacked switch SGE2000-G5

We were put to the task of securing a small desktop system managed that is currently set up with a standard switch for each of the offices (with different companies) to see each other and in some cases, access to each of the other documents on the network.

Obviously, this is far from adequate set up and our goal is to isolate each office using VIRTUAL networks, but share a common internet connection provided by managed offices.  We have two switches for layer 3 Cisco SGE2000-G5, but we are new on Cisco equipment and VLAN, so we are not quite sure on how to implement this.  DHCP must be provided by a router, there is no server.  We are open to suggestions on the router as we still buy a.

I hope that someone may be useful.

    Thank you very much

    Jim

    Hi Jim,.

SGE2000 switches you are using must be able to handle this without issue. What type of router you are using? As long as you have a router that will take in charge VLAN / several subnets, it should be a simple configuration.

Here's a quick run down of the measures to be implemented. (using vlan1 and vlan2)

On the router, create a vlan / subnet 2 and set the port to connect to your shared resources with the two VLAN 1 and 2 switch. (it will be untagged, two will be marked)

On the switch, create vlan2 and do the same for the port connected to the router. (vlan1 marked and tagged vlan2)

Now for each switch port that you want to assign the port access and vlan1 and vlan2. (this vlan will be without a label)

If your router allows, disable routing inter - vlan. If this isn't the case, you must create rules to block traffic from one network to the other.

All this happens under the assumption that your router can support VLAN and can also make DHCP for this VLAN.

    Hope this information helps

SCCM PXE server is fine, tested on Cisco gear.

It's weird, PXE starts working when I hard code the fiber connecting switches to full-duplex, even if they show the full duplex in automatic. Thanks for your help.

  • DHCP on 62xx and switches 28xx

I'm putting up a VoIP system and fight with the network config. I have a mixed environment of 62xx series and 28xx series switches. I created a VLAN for voice and uses the default VLAN for data. VLAN routing on the l3 switch works fine. I can ping between subnets without any problem.

Working with intellectual property, as the IP phones will get an address on the subnet of data, then restart and vlan tag allows to obtain the IP address of the subnet of the voice of any port on any switch. But if I put the pvid on any port to the vlan voices, machines Windows still get DHCP on the vlan, but IP phones will not, they will receive only an address so firstly through the subnet data. My voice switches also lose communication entirely, when statically defined with an address of subnet voice and connected to a port with pvid voice vlan.

Through the subnet of data to get an address is no big deal, but being not not able to put my voice switches on the subnet of voice is a problem. I will freely admit that I know just sort of what I do. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

Here is the recommended method to configure the data and phone. http://www.Dell.com/downloads/global/products/PWCNT/en/pwcnt_voice_VLAN_support.PDF

Data is found in the VLAN no marked native and the voice in a VLAN tagged.

  • PowerConnect 6224 VLAN Routing, unable to connect out of VLAN but able to connect by entering.

To set up a new VIRTUAL local network to separate the common workstation network and obtain new DHCP scope, I had a few questions and found advice in the post of http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/network-switches/f/866/t/19370806.aspx?PageIndex=3 but now I find that my traffic is not going through properly so I'm starting a new thread to get help shows all of working.

Current primary network 192.168.1.0/24 (192.168.1.200 DHCP server). Adding new perspectives to the server for 192.168.3.0/24 active.

Gateway default 192.168.1.0/24 is 192.168.1.254 (Cisco ASA, it was set up like that when I arrived and no room to insert the dedicated router). Adding route to 192.168.3.0/24 > 192.168.1.253 (PC6224 and VLAN 1 management interface). I also added exceptions NAT asa for the 192.168.3.0 network.

I was still having some problems of scathing to the 192.168.3.0 network from the DHCP server and I added a static route on the server for this network, bypassing the ASA for routing to the switch.

From the DHCP server, I am able to ping 192.168.1.253, 192.168.3.254 but not a laptop that runs Windows XP configured with 192.168.3.1 address connected to port 22 of the 6224.

The XP laptop, I am able to ping 192.168.3.254 but not 192.168.1.253 or any other address in the 192.168.1.0 network.

The switch CLI, I am able to ping on both networks destinations.

Here is my config of switch. I have it set to scrape factory reset so there is no buried old ACL inside.
