Diacritical marks with Garamond Premier Pro fonts?

I have police Garamond Premier Pro and want to use diacritics with it for type Sanskrit in Latin characters. Is this possible? Can someone point me in the right direction?

Much appreciated,

Ben

Hi Ben,

Garamond Premier Pro fonts do not support the attachment of the brand. It is possible for a person with expertise in development of policies to implement these features.

  • Any plans to fix i and j in Garamond Premier Pro?

My attempts to find the old thread in which a bug Garamond Premier Pro has been discussed failed.  Unfortunately, I don't remember to whether or not a possible fix was envisaged.

The tittles on the i and j are disimilarly in shape and at different heights.

It is especially annoying when setting Dutch text, where the combination of the ij is not only extremely common but is still considered a separate alphabet letter in its own right.  This is a fantastic font, and it really bothers me not to be able to use it in multilingual documents including Dutch.

  • How to organize the project and the files associated with the Premier Pro

I tried to hold the input and output files to the Premier Pro (body) to optimize PC speed and keep different projects in separate folders.

To optimize speed, I try to balance the I/O to the body on different drives. I'm editing on a dedicated PC i7 - 3930K, OS W7, 32 GB of RAM, with 2 SSD and 7200 4 discs arranged in 2 RAID 0.  A SSD (C drive) contains the files program, Documents, Photos and Audio.  The other 3 are used to store the video media.  The second SSD is used for the Cache and editing intermediate files. A RAID contains the video and audio Source, the other RAID files, export files.  I try to balance the input/output between readers.

To organize files, I try to place each project with its related assets in a separate file.  In Production Premium CS6, default organization of the C:\Documents\Adobe\6.0 projects.  I'm confused because when I put Destination project in the project manager to another location, it always end up in the default location.  To change the location of the project, I find that it is initially allocated to the default, then I manually move it to another folder.  After you restart the body I open a project in the new folder.  Even though I have been editing for many years, I do not edit full time, so I need to refresh my knowledge for the fair distribution of the files such as the Scratch disks...

To make life interesting, different programs spread differently.  Mocha, the project folder and the default output to the same location.  I found Mocha has a project and output destination allocation of menus that once I put them in different places always end up together.  I was advised to change the location of the moka project as I do with the body, but nothing has changed.  Speed and coordination PC file locations is a challenge.

I have reviewed the training locations in the body.  Please direct me to the training to refresh my understanding on how correctly assets and distribution projects in the organization.  I also want to understand all the terms and possible menu assignments, if training is available.  A video presentation is preferred.

The 'libraries', never use integrated in Windows. Those who are buried on the C drive in a rat hole of a tree of files to implement for backup and everything. Really, quite a stupid implemented well. And having the documents on your system drive is very well... doesn't really matter, those not need for speed of access. Put YOUR assets, such as pictures, images, graphics and stuff, in the folders that you create on the drives for them to the best "work" for you.

So anything I have listed (quite well off of the page of this Tweaker) interferes, or interfaces with Microsoft stupidity wonderful intentions. One just go to the configuration of the places one wants to work as you want for better performance. It is STRONGLY recommended that in these various drives you set up folder trees that are easy to understand AND easy to use for the implementation of backup programs. The Tweaker has rather detailed suggestions tell for the settings of the cache for the Windows system files, which drive page size parameters to use. Those are the only things we change concerning the functioning of the system, and MS is only available for users to use. What readers and how much drive space you want to * system * using the cache? Your choice.

PrPro has its own set of cache, database, project, and preview file default locations, so that the program won't work if nobody use it knows how to correctly set things upward. These default values are the folders system/users/blah/blah/blah/blah blah... not particularly easy to access for backup configurations, cleaning, that sort of thing, and not JUST because Adobe prefers you use those. In fact, they recommend that YOU set for the best working speed. The default values are all system-car and ensure the performance of the slug-bug.

When you go to edit-> Preferences dialog box, you will find a number of these things assorted options for which you want to put them. The project settings dialog box is for each project, and it is where tell you him to put THAT prproj main project file & some other assets. It is generally recommended that you put each project in its own folder on a folder tree of files to the disc that you put your project files on.

Note... all the different bits of the project files, database, cache and preview files have both read & write processes under constant operation. These things need quick access, usually put one shown previously one or two of them to a drive with SATAII internal best matches, or a 4/5 RAID 0/5 array disk.

Images (media) and rendering (final exports) are mostly one-way moves. Images is primarily a read-only, and export operation is mainly a single write operation. So those who can live on slightly slower connections to the need to obtain. As to say the very fast 128 GB USB3.0 flash drive PNY I acquired in the user suggestions a couple. I tested it, and 1080 p images and exports can be handled by that without slowing down everything else... but ONLY one of these. Either images or exports, NOT both! Few people have found that say that an external SSD with images on a USB3.0 connection is usable in the things their system and speeds but spread across these disks in read/write to access tasks on several pipelines. Some have tried and found that their USB bus is also used for other internal disc or other connections, and so they had no gain speed or slow things down. Test... test.

  • How to end Manager dynamic link with the Premier Pro CC

I'm trying to use Adobe Audition directly from the premier pro, but am unable to do so because of the Daynamic Link Manager preventing the audio directly open by Audition.

    Any suggestions?

"Note: the command change in hearing is not available for Adobe Dynamic Link clips."

It is something very different from what you're saying.

How can I make sure a specific *. SESX file opens with the hearing?

Make sure that the operating system can open these files with hearing.  You set this with file Associations.  You can just Google how to for your specific operating system.

This is what happens when you use storage assets.adobe.com to share a file. It's not "your page", it is for sharing the ongoing work with customers or employees; That's why things like the downloadable color chart. To prevent people from use as free bandwidth for their own Web sites, it is impossible to remove the image of Adobe or to embed the video in another page.

  • the premier pro does not start in windows 10

    Hello

I have just updated to windows install 10 with a cleaning. Now, I have a problem with the Premier Pro cs5.5. It does not start correctly.  instead of the projection of the screen it goes to an empty p [the age with the bar tools, then falls, disappears. I was wondering if I have to do a re-install or there may be an update to make it compatible to windows 10.

In addition to the comments of John, a few people with a new Adobe DVA are struggling to get them to open in Win10 but found that by double-clicking the program file, the Properties section and choose "run as Administrator", they had to operate. That said... Win10 and a number of video applications are not on the excellent conditions in any universal sense.

  • Can I use a font that comes with a subscription to Adobe first Pro CC to make a video intro with Adobe first Pro CC, for use in videos from Youtube that will be monetized?

Can I use a font that comes with a subscription to Adobe first Pro CC to make a video intro with Adobe first Pro CC, for use in videos from Youtube that will be monetized?

If so, I'll be able to continue to use this intro for these purposes, if I decide to leave the subscription?

I looked this info on the EULA for Adobe fonts and the font itself, but the information was not conclusive.

    Thank you!

Licensing - in particular for fonts - is always a big pain - and even if you have a lawyer paid handsomely on the case, it is always a challenge to navigate in all licenses of the difference and the different situations.

In reality, the chances of trouble to use a font Adobe provides as part of the suite Creative Cloud is little or none - even if it's TECHNICALLY in a kind of fine print.

However if you are doing a project where you must provide tangible evidence that everything is legally more High Council (which you have to do a lot of time for projects that are funded for example the Government), then things can become difficult.

In the case of Myriad Pro - even though the creative cloud agreement specifically lists the fonts in the list of the restricted fonts - you can always register Myriad Pro through Adobe's Typekit service (see: Myriad Pro |) Typekit) so that circumvents this problem.

My advice - if you need evidence that the fonts of your use of any good - then I would contact Adobe directly, in order to have their response in writing. See: https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html

If you are just doing a personal project, and you put the work on YouTube (even if you get advertising revenue as part of the YouTube partner program), and then the case to get into any kind of trouble because of policies is VERY thin - but if you want to play it is really safe, it is best to do your research , and make sure you have something in writing say that everything is perfect.

If in doubt - talk to a lawyer, because they will be able to do a risk assessment appropriate - even if it is somewhat a grey area.

We had similar issues trying to license of Adobe Stock content - a few clauses in the agreement that is very unfortunate entertainment lawyers.

  • Graphics ATI Radeon HD 5670 card card does not not with Premier Pro.   Any advice?

At the time, I set up my Dell desktop computer, I thought that it was a high-end graphics card.   But Premier Pro refuses to recognize - and insists on the use of my main CPU instead.

    graphics_card.jpg

Render times are killing me is there any way I can make use of this graphic card in my first workflow?    Thank you!

First of all, this HD 5670 is slower that the minimum of Adobe supported the recommendation of the HD 6750 and HD 6770 for accelerating GPU OpenCL (the 5000 series GPUS perhaps not supported to complete the release of OpenCL hardware required by Adobe software). You see, the HD 5670 is not yet close to being top of the line, even when it was new.

Secondly, what version of Premiere Pro are you using? CS6 and earlier do not support OpenCL for GPU acceleration. You will need to first CC 7 or later version to use OpenCL GPU acceleration.

Third, even if you otherwise use OpenCL GPU acceleration in first CC, the driver version that is installed in your Dell is much too old to activate again such acceleration. You need to update the driver for a version more recent.

Fourth, do not expect acceleration GPU OpenCL in Adobe first CC as fast or as robust performance as the GPU CUDA acceleration (that don't support Nvidia GeForce and Quadro GPUs). In fact, the HD 5670 with OpenCL GPU acceleration enabled in first CC will be almost as fast as a cheapo GeForce GT 630 with activated GPU CUDA acceleration. In other words, it would be almost as slow as MPE software only (in function of your system's CPU).

  • Diacritical marks (accent)

Diacritical marks (accent) are available on a standard QWERTY US keyboard?

Diacritical marks (accent) are available on a standard QWERTY US keyboard?

Yes... but how get you depends on the application you are using.

In almost any Windows application, you can use the character map accessory (start > all programs > Accessories > character map).  In addition to insert many different characters by copying and pasting, this accessory also shows you a method to insert characters using the keypad (a pain, unless you have a numeric keypad separated) by pressing ALT more a 4-digit code using the number keypad.  For example,® is produced by ALT + 0174 and a by ALT + 0226.

Some applications have a function "insert characters and symbols" which allows you to insert characters with diacritics.

If you use a Microsoft Office program, for example, Word, you can use a combination of the CTRL key and another key just before pressing the letter key. Seekeyboard shortcuts for international characters .  I know that this method works for Word 2003; I guess it works for other versions as well.

  • License with Adobe Acrobat Pro problem

I have a problem with Adobe Acrobat Pro as part of Adobe Creative Suite CS 6 on Mac OS X 10.11.6: Adobe Acrobat does not start. Whenever I try to open a pdf file or the itsself program (Acrobat), Acrobat appears inside the docking station, as well as within the monitor activity for a few seconds, but never actually opens and then disappears from the docking station and the activity monitor. No error message appears, namely, what is the problem.

During the last two weeks, I tried the suggestions basically all troubleshooting I found on the web several times, mainly:

    • Try to uninstall and reinstall Adobe Acrobat by itsself as well as all of the Creative Suite (of course, using "Adobe Installers")
    • Running the Creative-cloud-Cleaner on my computer after uninstallation and before the re-setup
    • Deactivate and reactivate my license Creative Suite (using InDesign to perform this task, given that Acrobat does not open)
    • etc.

More funny thing is: when I try to deactivate the license via InDesign, Acrobat will not show even as one of the programmes concerned, see attached screenshot.

    PastedGraphic-1.png

That is why, in my view, the problem could be a licensing problem. The reason why I had the problem in the first place, could be the following: I accidentally uninstalled Adobe Acrobat while being offline. After that, as mentioned above, I tried- and reinstall the program and all of the following several times while being online - but no result.

I'm happy for any suggestion. Assistance telephone Adobe doesn't seem to be available for this product and I have redirected to this forum when you try to start a chat support with Adobe, I'm happy for all the help from the community!

PS: I guess that's not relevant, but I'll talk anway: another application, "Adobe Crash Demon" shows within the activity monitor, every time I open InDesign (but isn't, when I try to open Acrobat). The content of the error message does not mention Acrobat.

    Hi kglad,.

Thank you for your message. Unfortunately, I couldn't find very useful advice in the log files, because I'm not very experienced in the search for log files and I could not find solutions to the error messages on the web.

But, fortunately, an update of the system for Mac OS Sierra finally helped me to solve the problem. Obviously, the update changed some system parameters and / or preferences, and I finally could start once Adobe Acrobat. He is still vulnerable, however. It seems, I'm having some trouble with my graphics, too, but I guess I'll be able to fix those shortly.

I am very happy, Acrobat is finally running once more!

Thanks for your support, I'll mark the issue as resolved.

    Kind regards

    Evelin

  • How to add AE Intro movie Premier Pro?

Hello I am new to both Premier Pro and After Effects. I am just putting together my first video drone in PP and want to add an intro to my films. I've seen some nice AE models that I like and I do not have the skill or the time to do my own at this time. So my question is if I buy an AE template and edit it with my logo/test. So, how do you apply this to the film in PP?

You export the intro AE and import in PP and put at the top?

You import the PP film in AE and export as one of there?

Or I have it completely wrong

Sorry if this is a stupid question, I was looking on Google and YouTube and not yet found the answer.

    Thank you
    Nick

    Nick,

    You can do three way:

    1. change your model AE and rendered as film lossless ready for import

    or

    2. in the first, use file > Adobe Dynamic Link > import After Effects Composition

Locate your AE project, wait for the connection and choose your publication

The second option allows you to change the Original if you need to change the AE comp essentially launch After Effects within the creation and changes which are reflected immediately (even without saving changes - if you need to register it when it is happy!)

3 re - load your AE model bought as model town (Composition settings > advanced) so you can configure your purchased template so all text is editable from videos first but substantive. Logos etc. are not.

  • Speed grade won't open my Premier Pro files.

So I have the latest versions of Adobe speed-Grade and Premier Pro.

I get an Error Message When I try to open a Premier Pro file in the speed category.

    PFA screenshots.

    Help, please.

    Screen Shot 2016-08-24 at 16.30.06.png

    Screen Shot 2016-08-24 at 16.31.59.png

As noted in the responses to the thread on the forum PrPro, Adobe chose to abandon the connection between first Pro & SpeedGrade with version 2015.3. Note, this is not 'just' a dot-updated release, but a version entirely new... why they kept 2015 on this, I don't know.

If you check the builds... 2015.0/1/2 all "9.x" builds, but 2015.3/4 are "10.x' built... a new version. SpeedGrade has been left to a 9.x, so they no longer to 'synchronize '.

It is a tool of conversion on another thread in this forum who can take most 10.x PrPro projects and quickly change a number in the project file, so it can be opened in Sg, I have tested and now use it, if necessary... you open this little app, drag & drop a file Prproj top, and you get a version of records with the slight modification. Do you who open in Sg, your job & want to save the project, then make drag & fall on the application of converter and it will automatically return the internal number to run in a 10.x release, I think also registering another - like.

So it's safe to try something and I've done several through it, no problem until now, the guy who had all his projects are working through it. Adobe don't IS NOT SUPPORTING it, they wish that we of course. And I do know there are some features in the 10.x versions that may not work through this, but... I heard no talk yet of a project not working with this application.

Other than that, there are some wonderful things, we can do within the Lumetri in PrPro, especially if you have an installation of surface or control external (such as elements of tangent or waving) as those who are now supported within the PrPro. For many simple things, especially if you don't have a lot of shot-matching, which works very well. It breaks down on a basis of time consumed for the ranking of the most complex, you can use the Lumetri interface itself on the "last" instance of Lumetri on a clip. And the same with the external controls, they only work with the last instance in the effect controls panel... but you can use the effects Panel to adjust the 'previous' Lumetri effects.

It may take a little extra time, but... If you use multiple instances of Lumetri in PrPro, you can make hidden versions and the secondary tab STL is also very good... but for this several secondary, once again... takes multiple instances of Lumetri "stacked" in the effect controls panel.
