Dialer.exe application crashes in Windows 7

I have several workstations in a domain where dialer.exe gets a blocking of the application for no specified reason. The error can also be replicated by launching phone and Modem and selecting the Advanced tab. He worked on a single computer for about a year and then stopped working. The other is a brand new computer, and he never seems to have worked. I ran chkdsk and sfc, which found no errors. Creating a profile does not improve the situation.

One thing that binds all machines - they both use more Avaya IP Office. It is possible that this damaged dialer.exe.

I suspect a corrupted system file. SFC could fix that. Reset Internet Explorer can help. At worst, I think you can fix it with a relocation, or "inplace upgrade" Win 7 from the installation DVD.

To determine if the problem you are experiencing is caused by one or more system files that are used by Windows, run the System File Checker tool. The System File Checker tool analyzes the system files and replaces incorrect versions of system files by using the correct versions.

To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:

    1. click Startand type cmd in the box start the search .

2 right-click cmd in the programs list and then click run as administrator.

    3. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click continue

    4. at the command prompt, type the following line and press ENTER: sfc/scannow

When the analysis is complete, test to see if the problem you are experiencing is resolved.

    Hi all

We have installed a software called eVision on our windows 7 32-bit operating system. The application works well.

We installed the same software eVision on our windows 7 64-bit OS systems. We could install the software correctly. But when we opened the application, the breaks down after a few minutes. We see the error below. What is happening on all the 64 bit OS.  So there must be something to do with the 64 bit OS. We addressed this issue in favour of the seller. But we have received no resolution. Please help us solve this issue.

What version of software is this? Is it designed for Windows 7 or earlier?

It is possible it could 16-bit components why it worked on 32-bit Windows 7.

You could try to install in Windows 7 64-bit compatibility mode.

Pointer pointing to the installation for eVision files, right-click on the Setup, and then click Properties

Select the Compatibility tab then a known version of Windows in which the software works or is designed to:

    Hello Shahid,

Thanks for the reply with the State and more detailed description of the issue.

The time required to upgrade to Windows 10 using the icon 'Get Windows 10' depends on internet speed you connect on your PC.

Method 1: As you have made changes to registry and think that could cause the problem, I suggest to perform the System Restore by following the steps from the link below and try to upgrade the PC to Windows 10.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/what-is-system-restore#1TC=Windows-7

Method 2: If the problem persists, I suggest upgrade you to put your system to boot and then to Windows using media creation tool10.

To perform a clean boot, follow the steps from the link below:

    https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/KB/929135

Method 3: If the problem persists, I suggest to create another user account and try to upgrade to Windows 10 similarly.

Refer to the link below on How to download official Windows 10 ISO files:

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/wiki/windows_10-windows_install/how-to-download-official-Windows-10-ISO-files/35cde7ec-5b6f-481C-a02d-dadf465df326

  • When you use Windows Search error SearchFilterHost.exe - Application error

When you are using Windows XP (SP3) running Windows Search (4.0), I get the error message:

    SearchFilterHost.exe - Application error

The instruction at "0x0af609c" referenced memory at "0 x 00000014. The memory could not be "read".

Click OK to terminate the program

I do nothing especially when this happens and the disabling or uninstalling this feature is not an option that I and some of the programs that I use it. She repeats every few minutes, but I'm pretty sure it's because the application restarts whenever you "Finish". I also tried to reinstall it but to no avail. Thanks in advance for any help.

These errors appear when the index database is corrupted, for example during the crash, etc. The solution is, except disabling or removing the search service, reconstruction of the index. Just reinstall will not solve the problem, because that does not remove the corrupted index.

    On XP Pro:

    (1) start 'services.msc' and find Windows Search stop.

My personal advice: check user accounts all records and make sure that the "Application Data" and "Local Settings" directories have their attribute 'Index summary' unchecked, including all files and subfolders. You can avoid many possible future performance issues.

    2) go to c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft and delete the entire directory "Search" (or just rename / move elsewhere).

    (3) close the session log. Index will rebuild, it may take some time, depending on the amount of documents, music, etc. you have. So be patient with harddisk increased temporary activity. Normally it works with a low priority.

On Vista/7 Search index is located in \ProgramData\Microsoft, otherwise,'s done it the same way. Unfortunately, I do not know how to avoid the real alteration. XP seems more inclined to him.

  • Rundll32.exe and CryptSvc constantly crashing on windows 7

Hello guys, hope you can lend a hand with this.

I have a desktop with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit - quad processor. He installed the SP1. I recently updated several files of windows and now I'm getting a lot of appcrashes of the rundll32.exe.

I noticed that the cryptographic service is the culprit causing rundll32 crash messages.   Apparently, the CryptSvc service's stop and start and stop start - constantly. He did more than 100 times, and it happens every few seconds to a few minutes.  I disabled this service manually, but the problem persisted.

I don't know which is the problem. The CryptSvc does not work properly? Or is something to play with this service? Why the CryptSvc began after I disabled it?

    Hey Tushar,

I ran the clean boot and the things that you suggested, but I still have a very hard time.  I decided to back up all my data and do a complete reformat and reinstall Windows 7.  Back up took forever, because the system was very slow and my external hard disk transfer speeds were below 1 MB a second.  Finally I saved everything I could and after reformatting the computer to the boot prompt told me that the hard drive was SMART status BAD and able.  I decided to continue the resettlement and the system has worked, except saying that the CHIP was bad on the hard drive.

I decided to install a new hard drive and it works fine, no problem.

So, I think that the problem was in the system files, as the issues had disappeared when I reinstall the OS.

Well... thank you for your help and your time.

    C:\Windows\Temp\vmw7.tmp\guestcustutil.exe customize - sealparam "- quiet - mini - reseal - reboot.

Manually by running the same command causes the same result.

Since I was Googling my broad back to this topic, I haven't found something for vCenter 2.5 where the guestcustutil.exe had to be replaced. Would it be something similar here?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Thank you.

For those interested, I finally found the solution to the question. We use a registry key for the file system on startup to automatic control:

Key: HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager and the BootExecutevalue. With this removed, the system can be customized very well.

  • When I try to open the Control Panel, add or remove programs, a window appears saying "C:Windows\system32\rundll32.exe Application not found.

    Original title: rundll.exe error

I checked the previous messages and can't seem to find a solution to this problem.  Recently I ran 3 different scans, i.e. sbybot, avast and Malawarebytes virus. After that I ran these anti-virus programs and remove viruses, I was not able to open any more virus scanners. Every time I tried, would open a window saying "Choose the program you want to use to open this file." If I try to download a new virus scanner, it says the same thing.

When I try to open the Control Panel, add or remove programs, a window appears saying "C:Windows\system32\rundll32.exe Application not found. I checked this file on my c: drive\system 32 and see the rundll.exe file. I also copy and pasted the file rundll.exe my CD of Windows XP in c: Windows\System32

Everything else seems to work fine on my computer, and I get no message on the rundll.exe file when the computer starts up first.

    Any help would be popular!
