Different FF10 startup behavior

Whenever I click on the Firefox icon in startmenu/taskbar of Windows 7 Firefox launches a new example, instead of activating/switching to an existing runing instance of Firefox.

I think that the wasn't above true #T with FF9.
Options on the tab my FF 'Open new tab instead of new window' is checked.

OK, sorry for the confusion, correct macsez2u.

  • Different drag / drop behavior of the mouse on different users on the same virtual machine Windows 10 Pro accounts

I just upgraded to 8.1 on Mac OS X 10.11.3 Fusion "El Capitan" on a new iMac 27-inch 5K retina. The guest operating system is a new virtual machine Windows 10 Pro. I have two user accounts on the virtual machine, my local administrator account and another account local standard user. When I am logged into my account, I am able to drag and drop files to and from the guest to the normally Mac OS. As the mouse moves freely between the guest OS and the Mac. However, when I connect using the standard other account, I can't drag - move to and from the guest for the Mac OS. Also once I click into the virtual machine the mouse movement is limited to the virtual machine until I have press the buttons on the Mac to free the movement of the mouse to the Mac. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the vmware tools but the same behavior persists. Any ideas on a solution and why these two users accounts would act differently?

Just phone with the help of VMware. They solved the problem in uninstalling and reinstalling VMware tools and change the following VMware Fusion preferences-> preferences-> General-> Gaming: to 'Never mouse optimize for games '. It has been set to 'always optimize the mouse for games '.  After that drag & drop, mouse movement works smoothly and perfectly now. Thank you VMware support!

  • Automatic application executed at the startup of the phone

    Hello

I read a lot of posts that explain how to make an application to auto run when the phone starts, but none of them explained how whitout JDE or Eclipse plugin.

IM coding my application using NetBeans (with a plugin for BB), and have nowhere to set a flag "auto start".  So, please, can someone tell me how I can tell my phone to launch my application to start without using the "Auto-run at startup" property of the JDE?

    Thanks in advance,

    Juan Martin

Thank you maghue, you hit tha nail in the head.  For others with the same problem:

-Open the "Project properties" window in Netbeans, go to "Application Descriptor" and add this attribute:

    Name: RIM-MIDlet-flags-1

    Value: 35

    Placement: JAD

Original poster (eZainny) says: "the value you give the flag determines its startup behavior. Right now, for example, I have an application that automatically starts up and is a module of the system. The value that is 35. [...] The value is different according to the hierarchy of start position of your application in (1-7) and whether or not you want a module system. "Experiment a little and the above should make a little more sense.

    Thanks again!

  • Suspected flaw in Firefox color 35 management behavior

I hope I can keep this concise, but bear with me if my confusion causes me include some superfluous information. The info below is what, in my view, is necessary for someone else to understand the question.

    BACKGROUND:

-NECPA271W range wide-screen configuration double with a standard range Samsung 245BW monitor

    -Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit

    -Nvidia Quadro K4000

-The latest versions of FireFox (v35 32 - bit), IE11 (updated 11.0.9600.17498 updated to 11.0.15 32-bit) & before (Ultimate 2015 build 7, used for testing because it integrates the rendering engines of 3 major browsers, IE v 11.0.9600.17496, v 34.05.5464 FireFox and Chrome v39.0.2172.95)

-i1Display Pro (not the NEC SVSensor version), SpectraView II, NEC Multiprofiler & i1 Profiler

-Two monitors are calibrated and profiled. The NEC is calibrated using SVII, but because the software only supports NEC monitors, the 245BW must be done using the i1Profiler software that comes with the Pro i1Display. SVII is able to generate ICC v2 profiles, i1 Profiler is able to v2 and v4 and v4 is recommended. , However, I think that this whole ball is not relevant to the effect that I'm observing.

-J' recently started selling some of my photographs on a site of fine art.  So I started to dig deeper into how these images are read by others and printed later. Images optimized to sRGB for the best possible results to display on a widely varied base Viewer will not give the same results as images that are soft-soundproofed and optimized for a specific combination of printer/ink/media. This is especially true of my images which a tend to lean in the direction of being more highly saturated & more wide gamut

-J' have been exhaustive over the info here COLOR MANAGEMENT PHOTOSHOP CS6 CC based color management ICC profile color theory spaces calibrated monitor professional... & http://cameratico.com/tools/web-browser-color-management-test/ , among many others here.

I had reached a point where I thought I knew things pretty well, but now I'm not sure what yet, here's the problem:

I followed the advice and info on how to configure FireFox to color management (value 1 with associated monitor profile) which allows manipulating images unmarked and the elements of the web page, http://cameratico.com/guides/firefox-color-management/. After restarting Firefox with configuration of updates, I'll be back on trial in http://cameratico.com/tools/web-browser-color-management-test/ the last two tests there are designed to show a) how much more wide range of your screen that is sRGB, and b) how the browser handles elements and images not tagged.

The behavior I see is different from the behavior, I expect! Specifically, setting FIrefox to value of color management 1 and say things to my monitor profile causes Firefox to display the sRGB tag images as if they were not the tag. 2/no default monitor profile, I see a difference between display sRGB tag images and the image labeled ProPhoto RGB or the sRBG marked and unmarked elements CSS. I think that changing the value 1 with monitor profile should have no impact on the display of the images marked and elements, and still spend ONLY causes a change in the display behavior of images Tags should not influence, and I can see is no longer a difference between the different images because everything is fully saturated

Marked A screenshot showing the behavior of comparison between different browsers and applications would probably be worth more that the proverbial 1000 words, I'm new here & don't understand this part yet, but this will display as is while I'm working on it.

Can someone reproduce the behavior that I observe? Is someone spot a mistake in my thinking?

    TIA

    Randy

    * EDIT - I have annotated a screenshot comparing the results in 4 browsers. The screenshot has a profile embedded Adobe RGB that best represents the effects and changes I was / am seeing but cannot be kept if posted here. It may be better to download and view in CS6 order to is not to introduce any additional confusion arising from the browser YOU are using may be :-) If necessary full resolution of 2560 x 1440 version is available, but implemented nationally to meet the limits of 900 x 900 forum makes the text unreadable. Can anyone suggest a way to provide the file kept full resolution with the embedded profile?

Using Firefox 35.0 and a wide range of Eizo CG246, I see no problem in the test browser CM (I had to desaturate the gamut test so that he can survive the sRGB conversion, but the Green is not yet fully in sRGB. "But it's just an illustration in any case):

So. A couple of things from the start:

Firefox will use the profile for the main display. It does not support a configuration dual monitor. If you move FF to the secondary display, it will always use the profile of the main screen.

You need not tell Firefox to your display profile. In fact, you don't not probably to avoid any problems. Like any other application of color management, Firefox takes up profile defined as system by default at startup. No user intervention required. If you change the default system, Firefox needs to be restarted to load the new profile.

This is true for both mode 1 and mode 2. They both use the display profile, but mode 1 assigns sRGB to any untagged material. Mode 2 just past untagged straight by unmanaged. The mode 1 is to correctly display the documents not marked even on a range wide screen (unsaturated). Material tagged will be managed properly in both modes. Mode 0 is one that is completely non-managed and does not use the display profile.

    ---

All that being said, I noticed that Firefox has a few small problems with display LUT profiles. It is not immediately noticeable, but if you watch that blacks are a bit clipped. With profiles of matrix does not occur this clipping and FF absolutely identical to Photoshop poster. I didn't notice any problems with the v4 vs. v2, although v4 support must be enabled manually.

  • Behavior when the BootP table is empty

What is the behavior of a cFP-2220, if it is configured to use DHCP and it gets a contact with a BOOTP server, which happens to have a cleared BOOTP table? Always starts the RT app (stop over TCP is set to False) and function normally, but with a link-local address?

Is there a difference between having online with a DHCP server and using a BOOTP server?

We have a case where one such controller seems to freeze upwards, the status LED starts flashing 4 times in a row. We cannot recreate it with a DHCP server.

(This particular case is a bit special because it also involves an application that will try to reconfigure the controller to static (using the System Configuration API 5.0) IP if it does not get a valid IP address in the DHCP boot AND it has a valid IP address of a previous start saved in an INI file, and it is difficult to say exactly when the accident occurred... But there is a difference in the startup behavior to predict?)

  • Creating custom startup file

Where is the default start in Illustrator CS5 file located? I guess that once I find that I can replace it with a custom file to myself so I can eliminate the color chart preloaded, etc. lying my way?

There is no single default startup file; There are several. There are different for different selections startup files when you create a new document. Patrick is a standard Illustrator file with different page size, color and palette items mode (swatches, symbols, etc.).

The location of the file depends on your OS. On the Macintosh, they are in users / [username] / Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Illustrator CS5/fr_FR/New Document profiles.

  • Boot Windows

Hello... When I try to boot Windows my computer tries to read my external USB drives. I have to disconnect, and then after Windows 7 starts, plug the external sources again.  How can I change this to start without having to unplug my external drives.

    Thank you very much...

    1. reboot your computer.

2 while the logo of the manufacturer of the PC is on the screen before Windows starts to load, press the key on the keyboard "BIOS" or "Setup" which is either displayed on the screen for you or identified in the manual of your computer.  For Dells, the key is F2 but other manufacturers use different keys [there is no normalization - it is not part of Windows].

    3. Once you get the BIOS, look for boot sequence entries.  You have your set to watch first of all the USB devices.  You can set the drive to be the first.  When you start Windows, it will look at the disk to see if it has an OS and boot from it.  In the current configuration of the you, your boot sequence is by looking at each xHDD in turn to see if they have OSs on them and only then looking at the HARD drive.  Once you have made this change, you should be able to leave your xHDDs connected all the time if you wish.

    4. in the future, if you need to boot from a USB or DVD, you can either change the BIOS again or you can press a different key [while the logo of the manufacturer of the PC is the front screen loading at Windows Startup] to get the boot menu.  This key will also be displayed on the screen for you or to be included in the manual of your computer.  For Dells, the key is F12 but other manufacturers use different keys [there is no normalization - it is not part of Windows].  The advantage of using this procedure instead of modifying the BIOS, it is that it applies only to a start-up; the next time that the computer returns to its normal startup behavior - this can be very handy.

  • GarageBand looking not connected network drive

When I take my laptop away from my network home and open Garageband, it takes a long time to open and then gives an error message saying that it cannot find a NAS drive (which is installed in my home network).

If I hit OK, then I can use Garageband, but if I try to use sharing, or even if I just mouse over the menu item from action, the application gives me the rotation beach ball and finally the message again that it can't find the network drive appears. It is almost impossible to export the song because when I click to dismiss the pop-up message, the drop of share also disappears.

I don't know why Garageband is looking for the network drive. I tried the sacking of preferences and restart; I even uninstalled Garageband and reinstalled (when I wasn't home).

Of course, when I'm home and can access the network drive, this happens. But it's very embarrassing when I record somewhere else.

It's something to do with my user, because if I log in with a different account, the behavior occurs.

    Help?

    GarageBand 10.1.0

When I take my laptop away from my network home and open Garageband, it takes a long time to open and then gives an error message saying that it cannot find a NAS drive (which is installed in my home network).

GaregBand seeks always to open the last project that you opened.

When you are not connected to the NAS server you use at home, try to launch GarageBAnd by double clicking on a project that is on your local drive.

  • ThinkPad Edge E531 cannot boot from CD

    Hello

just got my new Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E531.

At the moment I'm not able to boot from the CD, it will always start the preinstalled Windows 8.

I tried the F12 method to select a boot device different at startup where I can see the DVD RAM drive installed and select it, but no effect that he immediately returned to the selection screen.

I played with the various BIOS affecting disabling secure boot option and change the boot order so that the DVD drive is the first. Then the system will look for the CD (you can hear it when you start spinning upwards), but will start in Windows 8 right afterwards.

I checked with different bootable CD as well as DVD but still the same effects.

What Miss me? All other BIOS or Windows 8 settings I need to change for it.

I have other laptops Lenovo run like the X 230, the T520 or an old T61 where boot from CD never seems to be a problem.

As the DVD drive works properly in Windows 8, I guess it works in general and should not be destroyed.

    Any help is very appreciated!

    Thanks in advance.

    See you soon...

  • Best version of older iTunes to a cell phone with big external hard drive?

I have a Dell Inspiron 1520 (circa 2007), I would like to use with my stereo to serve music from an external hard drive 1 TB.  The Dell has an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T5250 @ 1.5 Ghz and 2.00 memory of concert, with Windows 7 (64 bit) operating system.  You want to keep software compatible with the vintage of the material but with enough ability to index a concert music library 500 +.  It is a standalone function for this machine.  What version of iTunes would go faster on this hardware and still have the ability to manage a large playlist?

    Thank you.

The latest version of iTunes (12.3.2) should be fine.  My only concern would be the one with 2 GB of memory you pouvez experience some performance issues with an important library (where the key factor is the number of items in the library rather than the disk storage they occupy).  Additionally, you may experience glitches reading occasional and/or slow when responses to changes in your library if the connection of the laptop and external hard drive USB2.0 rather than 3.0, especially if current to run a web browser or other applications in resources at the same time.

However, earlier versions of iTunes are not likely to be significantly different in their behavior or performance (and some, indeed, could be worse).  My main iTunes system is a desktop Dell of the same vintage (though with hard drives and power supply replaced in the past two years)-running Windows 10 Pro 32 - bit with 4 GB of memory (3.25 GB usable) and works fine with the latest version of iTunes.

I would certainly recommend ensuring that your library is all about external drive (see time user turingtest2 on do a split cell library for more information) and that you create and maintain an up-to-date backup of it (see backup your iTunes for Windows with SyncToy library).

  • Windows Vista loop start

    Hello

I went to a laptop on a field, but was pressed and thus check/didn't know not it is Windows Vista Home Premium. After it is joined to the domain and click the restart now button the laptop restarts. Unfortunately, Windows is not started, instead, goes into a boot loop :(

Even if I try to press F8 during and after the POST, nothing happens.

Is there a way I can recover from it without having to reinstall? I have important files that have been supported until as such desperately need to keep?

One thing that I was wondering was if it is possible to slave the drive to the laptop via a SATA converter USB on another computer and just change (or remove) a file that is the cause?

Looking forward to your response (s)

    Thank you

    Sie

    Hi Bill

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, none of the solutions were applicable I couldn't the laptop to display different slow startup options or any speed I typed F8.

Instead, I hit the F10 key and entered the recovery partition. A GUI gave me options to first save the files and then do a reset system by which is reinstalled Vista.

This solved my problem and the laptop works well again.

Thanks a lot for your help and advice!
