Difficulties internal mic techniques

Ladies and gentlemen I came to you with a problem: my internal microphone work and goes off at times. By which i average is that when I use my mic Skype suddenly stops working.
This problem occurred before and it started to work again temporarily for a short time until recently that I have somehow accidentally bumped or pushed my laptop and it started working, but for some reason when I try to increase the volume to its maximum volume approaching the 60 he starts getting really high fever and I don't really know why. I would like to know if someone could help me with this problem. My laptop is be a Toshiba Satellite C655.
Thanks for the help.

Hello

1. What is the brand and model of the microphone?
2. don't you make changes to the computer before the show?

Method 1: Connect a microphone.
I suggest you to connect the external microphone and see if the problem persists.

Method 2: Activation of the Microphone.
1. connect the microphone to the computer.
2 click Start, all programs, accessories, then tape recorder.
3. click start recording (the red circle) and speak into the microphone.
4 Recording tab showing a signal detected for the Microphone device

Note: Microphone icon should have checkmark on it.

If there is no checkmark, it means it is disabled. If there is no green mark on micro it never works. To activate the Microphone, right click on Microphone and click Activate. If youdo not not see the Microphone in the list, right click on the white space and select devices see the disabled. Then, you'd see the Microphone. However, if you don't see the green check mark on it, right-click on it and click Activate. Select Microphone and click the Default(If Set as default button is active) value.

If you see the green checkmark on Microphone the Microphone really works.

Method 3: Increase the Microphone sensitivity and non-disabling the Microphone.
1. Select Microphone and click the properties button.
Microphone properties: levels tab
2. adjust the slider to 100% of its range.
If the mute is enabled, click the button mute to reactivate the device. The mute button should show as a blue speaker without any red circle.
3. If the mute is enabled, click the button mute to reactivate the device. The mute button should show as a blue speaker without any red circle.
4. If the Microphone Boost is available, set it to + 20.0 dB.
5. click OK to make the changes.
Now the Microphone should work. To check this open the sound recorder and perform the procedure described in step 1. If the problem persists then it might be a hardware problem with the microphone or a Microphone drivers. Perform the steps below to solve the driver related issues.

Method 4: Use Windows Sound Recorder to test the microphone.

You can use this section to find out if the laptop can record a signal from the

Microphone and play again. Use Windows sound recorder to create an audio file using the following steps:

1. connect the microphone to the computer.
2 click Start, all programs, accessories, then tape recorder.
3. click start recording (the red circle) and speak into the microphone.
When you are finished recording, click on stop recording.
Screen automatically opens.

Type a file name and click Save. A type WAV or WMA file is created in the Documents folder.
If you can record the Audio using the Microphone using the method above then the
Microphone works very well. Now he has to work from any application or Messenger who

Supports the Microphone. If the laptop does not audio using the method above, then it might be a problem with the Microphone settings. Now, check the following settings.

Method 5: Update sound drivers
1. connect to the Internet.
2. click on start and enter the Device Manager in the start search field.
A Device Manager window opens.
3. click on the plus sign (+), next to sound, video and game controllers.
4. right click on the name of the sound material and select software update of the driver...
5. click on search automatically for a driver updated and wait for Windows to update the driver software.
6 Windows checks a remote Web site to see if the update of the driver software is available.
·         If an update is available, let Windows install the update.
·         If an update is not available, proceed to the next step.
7. once the update is successfully installed, test the microphone or line like that was made in step 1.

Come back and let us know the State of the question, I'll be happy to help you. We, at tender Microsoft to excellence.

  • Satellite C650D - internal mic not working not

    Hello forum

When I tried to cut the internal mic, I accidently deleted the pickup and its driver completely a few days from now.
and after you have reinstalled the driver, I can't have the microphone to capture sound.

I do not know if the internal MIC is visible in the tab "recording devices", what I see is "Conexant SmartAudio HD CX20671".

Could be internal, might as well be the external microphone that I use sometimes.

    Help me please.

    Hi mate

You can try reinstalling the Conexant audio driver again. Usually this should detect all devices audio and microphone, even if it was previously disabled.
The driver can be found on the European driver Toshiba page.

    Another tip:
You should check the audio settings in Control Panel-> Sound-> recording tab

Here, you should see two entries: internal and external microphone mix that should not be permit/detected if the external microphone is not connected.
The internal mic must be defined as a default!

I factory reset my laptop yesterday and all since the internal mic only works when nothing is plugged into the Jack, including the headphones without a microphone and speakers. Any ideas guys? I don't want to have to buy new headphones :/

    See you soon

It's really crazy. With the factory settings, everything should be OK.
Theoretically, internal microphone can be blocked if you connect headphones into the microphone port.

    Hello

Internal microphone is a part of the webcam.

I recommend reinstall the webcam software too.

In addition, you must go to-> sound and audio devices control panel and check the recording tab.
Remember that the sound card has been chosen and that internal microphone is available.

In addition you can find a Realtek HD audio manager in Control Panel as well. There you should be able to test the microphone.

  • G20 - Xd Picture card error & internal mic question

    Hello
I ve bought a piture for my digital camera xd card and the qosmio g20 doesn´t now detects when I insert it on port sd/xd. The problem is that my other fujifilm xd card is detected but the Olympus doesn´t. Strange is also the fact that I tried this last card piture xd on my Toshiba Satelite laptop computer brother´s and it worked well. To check what I ve is the version of the driver is exactly the same as mine. Any suggestions? Can I update the driver? I checked for it but West only an update driver for the SD format cards and that s not here I suppose.

    And one more thing:

Anyone know how to record with the internal mic away 60 sec? It's that when I start recording it always stop at 60 sec. I checked it s options but I can´t find anything to solve the problem. It s weird tho because when time stops to 60 sec If you click again, it will record 60 sec more for a total of 120secs. But it s not very convinient wait til 60 sec click on new to add more than 60 seconds.
    Thank you

    Hello Susana

It is not easy to say why you have this strange problem with XD card but I think that it is not because of bad driver and assume that it can be because of multireader himself. I imagine that the Qosmio s multicard reader is somehow more sensitive and cannot make good contact to the map.

I know it sound funny, but it is well known that a few cards (various manufacturers) can be recognized correctly. Why is it I can't explain to you at all. I know that Olympus productions of good quality, but of course your Qosmio has some problem with it.

On the record, that I can tell you that if you want to have the right equipment registered, you must use special software to do this and not this simply given WXP sound recorder.

  • Qosmio F50 internal mic not working not

    Hello

The internal mic on my Qosmio F50 has suddenly stopped working. I tried to configure, but it doesn't seem to be picking up all the sounds. I have also tried reinstalling the sound and chipset drivers but had no luck.

    Help, please.

    Hello

You must also make sure that the webcam software is open (in the taskbar) when you use the internal mic.
As has already been suggested but the user above, the microphone is a part of the webcam and you can configure the internal mic in the webcam Chicony help software.

  • H - 550 d-13 satellite - internal MIC is not installed

    Hello-support team,

I just got this laptop and all (Win7 home 64 bit) has been installed correctly, I would say. But I can't seem to get the active internal mic. I looked online for a solution and reinstalled the latest sounddrivers (ATI and conexant). There is still no sign of the internal microphone. In the specifications (1 × 1.3 Mpix WebCam + mic int.) he is listed with the built-in webcam, so I reinstalled the drivers too. Unsuccessfully :(

Is there some kind of fix for this issue? Thanks in advance...

BTW. I shows "offline and disabled" devices ;)

    > But I can't seem to get the active internal mic.
Can you please explain how do you do this? I mean what application are you using?

You're right about the microphone and web camera. Internal microphone is there, but I put t understand how you want to use. With Skype maybe?

  • Satellite A200 - internal mic has background noises

    Hello

Description: Internal microphone with full boost, and volume has background noise. By reducing its levels, it has insufficient gain to drive Skype etc, so the only viable solution is to use front mic. Have you tried several MICS known for work on the other PC.
Logbook - sometimes when its clogged, the front mic back, is the only micro displayed, but his level is very low with settings on full boost, and volume, is hardly audible; It is not set to mute. Sometimes the settings panel shows two microphones with works front and internal as well as external. EG remove the front plate near mic and it responds.

I am a hardware engineer and it does not appear to be linked to the defective mic connector on the front. Both the A200 is relatively new. Also, I've seen similar to this Google search topics, but no one had their similar fault solved.
His may be a hardware problem, but given the bizarre behavior of two microphones working with trendy front in and sometimes not, it tends to suggest a driver problem. But I installed the latest driver, I could find: driver Realtek SA200-SM200-RealtekHD-6.0.1.5406-Vis64-Vis32.exe

I do not ask questions, because it's my job to solve PC problems, but this one has really left me speechless.
    Kind regards
    Alistair.

    Hello

Which is really strange and I can only say that my girlfriend has a Satellite A200 too but she doesn't have any problems with the internal mic. She uses the microphone for MSN and Skype, for example, but without any problems.

In any case, have you tried with the factory settings? I mean the Windows Vista preinstalled with all the drivers and tools of Toshiba. Normally with these settings, all should properly.
Additionally, make sure that you have installed the latest BIOS for your laptop.
