    Hello

How old is your machine? If you still have your warranty, so why not give your machine to a local service partner?

So if you don t give something on your guarantee you can trade your coins. But to look for the pieces on google and you won´t get any help from toshiba (e.g. manual disassembly or something similar).

I tried long before your request and I made my experience that if you want to open your machine your completely on your own.

    Welcome them

  • Satellite 1800-712-CDRW/DVD Combo IDE #1 error

SR-R2102 original stopped reading discs, bought a new SD-R2102 on Ebay but the laptop does not recognize the drive. Error IDE #1 shows the boot and the player does not display in the material in (the old watch of failed disk) Device Manager. The new disc has Compaq sticker on it. Read other posts on the forum, seems the disc is not compatible, even though it appears to be an identical replacement. Any way to get it to work? Hoping someone can help.

    Hello

Each CD or DVD drive cannot work properly with each laptop model. This is the same model of car, but it has been used by another producer of laptop. Normally it should be adjusted to be slave. Perhaps is there some difference.

In my opinion, you can try to update BIOS. If the error occurs again, that is not compatible drive and you can contact the Service partner and ask them for some advice.

  • Qosmio G10 - 133 Question on replacement DVD COMBO drive

my laptop has a DVD driver UJ - 830B labled but the device Manager reports that it is a UJ-830. I posted before saying that I was not able to burn DVDs. He gets partially then error saying unable to burn. I used different software and drives done but all to no avail.

    Hello

Seems that you have already noticed that the disc replacement is not so easy.
The portable internal conduit don t support no rider like external drives for desktop PC as well as the settings are fixed and to my knowledge no editable
I found a few compatible disk numbers, but unfortunately, I have not found the names of readers.
It seems that these are the internal reference numbers.

    -MATSU * A (G8CC0001S610)

  • Need a new CD-RW/DVD combo drive for Satellite 1805 - S274

    Hello, everyone!

I have a portable Satellite 1805-S274 with a CD-RW/DVD defective (MAST * A UJDA710). It does not read the CD or write anything. I tried to clean it, but no response. I think he's dead now.

I wonder if it is possible to replace it with a new drive? This model can adapt? Where to buy? Is there an internal model for writing CD and DVD?

I would be very happy for any advises.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Andrei,

CD/DVD players are generally classified as IDE (internal drive enclosure) which are located primarily in the desktop computers and 'slim' that are usually used in laptops.

Your UJDA710 falls into the category of 'slim', so you should be able to substitute any Player DVD of the same specification. You can buy a DVD player base of various suppliers (check Google) and you will then need to transfer any hardware Assembly of your old drive to the new. This will cause by unscrewing the mounting brackets, plastic trim panels and possibly the flange.

I changed my TEAC DW224E existing for a carpet * a UJ825 so that I could burn DVDs.

Another consideration that might be important for you is the type of CD/DVD media. I chose the UJ825 because it does not use a sliding drawer to hold the CD/DVD, an important issue for me because my son had already broken the original disc once drawer.
The UJ825 uses a mechanism of power split that I find much safer to use.

One last point is the setting of your new drive. More slim drives design are pre-set by the manufacturer to master or Cable Select, and you must make sure that you buy corresponds to the current value of your existing drive. If you install with the wrong setting that your laptop does not start correctly. Check the other postings in these forums for this problem.

  • Combo CDR/DVD SDR2102 drive will not read CDs or DVDs

    Hello

    I have a mobile Ergo Elite 4.
The hard drive crashed and I bought a new one.
I have loaded windows XP by using a boot disk but cannot get the Toshiba SDR2102 CDR/DVD combo drive to work. I had to load windows on via USB
    using a USB port.

I can see the drive in windows Explorer, but it will not read the CD or DVD.
I looked in the Device Manager, and it came with no warning mark.
I tried deleteting, re-startup and he's back in the Device Manager.

I'm trying to find a better driver, but it says that I use the best driver.
I tried various Web sites using sand everywhere tells me that I do not need a driver for this drive.
What I do, it seems as if the Combo driver is recognized but it will not be read whatever it is inserted, he said only: insert the disc.

Does anyone know what I can try? or know where I can get drivers for it or software to test the drive?

any help would be appreciated. :-(
    Some.

    Hello

You n t need a special driver for the CD/DVD drive.
CD/DVD players use the current Microsoft drivers already contained in the Windows operating system.

In my opinion, you should first test different types of media. Please note that not all CD or DVD s are compatible. Distribute readers can't handle bad quality mediums.

But we shouldn't t rule out a risk of hardware malfunction.
Disk failure and you may wish to contact your dealer for a replacement.

  • Combo DVD - RW drive won't burn a disc

All of a sudden yesterday after burning DVDs my DVD - RW combo drive won't burn a disc. I tried to run the Microsoft patch for CD DVD stuff and he said:

the selected disk is not able to write, if you have multiple CD DVD players try to use another drive, otherwise you may need to install a CD DVD burner to burn with Nero, it says: this device needs a DVD R/W... and the fix format disc, it says the drive is not capable at all.  Also, when I go to the drive in my computer, it shows the drive as a CD drive.  I replaced the Combo drive with a new one and still have the same issues. Help!

    Hi Mkadv,

    ·         Have what Microsoft Fixit you tried?

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

Method 1: CD-DVD combo drives have two lenses to write CDs and DVDs, respectively. First check with the manufacturer of the computer if the glasses are intact.

Method 2: To diagnose and repair problems with your CD or DVD drive when trying to read or burn media automatically.

  • Solution for nasal sound choppy after updating the firmware of the player combo cdrw/dvd TS-L462C

Hello you all frustrated users Dell! : manhappy:

Before I post my solution, here's what happened to me...

Towards the end of November ' 07, I decided to update all my drivers for my Inspiron B130 running Windows XP sp2, including the firmware for the TS-L462C 24 x CD-RW/dvd combo drive.

In the next few days to update, I noticed that my audio started his jerky / stutter any kind of program that I used to listen to, unless you use the CD player.

I came to Dell and started browsing these forums for a solution, given that my warranty was expired, and only Dell was to restore the original configuration, that was not a very practical solution with all the unwanted 'important' that I have accumulated in two years.

I've tried everything by many users with the same annoying problem recommended here (update of Bios, drivers roll back, etc.).

The only thing that worked was to keep a CD in the drive at all times, which as we know, is not a permanent solution, but is favorite Microsoft term... workaround.

What I finally discovered that was the update of the firmware Dell 'bad' DE07... why they don't check these things?

The solution I finally found, after months of this and other forums, research is to restore firmware DE07 DE05.

That at first, does not seem that easy because the DE05 flashes the firmware from a boot disk and my B130 came with a floppy drive.

So here's how I did it...

    1. If you haven't already, you will need the DE07 utility that comes with the upgrade.

Get it here... TS-L462C DE07 firmware

Follow the instructions to download and unzip, but do not install... we just need the windows Flash utility.

    2. download and unzip the DE05 firmware.

Get it here... TS-L462C DE05 firmware

Note the location of this folder, because we need the .bin for sync this folder file.

    Mine unzipped here... C:\dell\drivers\R114334

    3. now open (double click) on the update of the firmware DE07 called SFDNWIN.exe

and follow the instructions to update...

    a. click on the download file ' open' button to the left.

    b. do not click on the DE07_060525.bin, but instead, navigate to the folder that has the DE05.bin, who, in mine, is located at C:\dell\drivers\R114334, to select. Click on 'open '.

    c. click on the "Start download" button in the middle.

    d. click "Restart Windows".

    e. system will restart after the flash is complete.

I hope this has been helpful and not too complicated, but it worked wonderfully for me!

    : manvery-happy:

    Good luck

    Ed
