• Cross-dimension or combined dimension security

  Hi gurus!
  
  I need to implement 'Cross-dimension' security in a planning application. I defined some dimensions, and it is essential to implement security on some of them. Now, I can create security filters, but I need to restrict the combinations of two dimensions. For example:
  
  Let's say I have 2 dimensions: entity and activity and 2 users: user1 and user2
  -Entity has 2 members: entity1 and entite2
  -Activity has 2 members: Activity1 and activity2
  User1 can read/write data to the entity1 - Activity1 and entite2 - activity2
  User2 can read/write data to the entity1 - activity2 and entite2-Assembly1
  
  In this case, user1 and user2 must hace read/write access to the entity1, entite2, Activity1 and Activity2. If user1 will be able to write about the entity1 - in activity2, and he should not be able to do!
  
  I use Hyperion 11.1.2.1.
  
  How can I solve this problem? Any ideas?

  Planning uses the administrator account that you defined in the planning data source to retrieve data of Essbase.

  When I enable security on a "generic" dimension, is possible to have data roll up completely upwards (the name of the actual size)

  You cannot apply security at the level of the dimension, it must generally be given to a child under the root of the dimension.

• dimension security question

  I have several dimensions, including two scenarios (real, Budget, Flash) and Versions (Version1, Version2, version 3). I wish to restrict write access to Flash and Version1 while leaving a read access to other combinations.
  
  If I put writing acess on Version1 and Flash and read acess on real that restricts write access to Version1 Flash only or write on Version1 access overrides the read access to the real?

  Cross-dimensional security is not possible in planning, if it's a read access to a member of its same for all possible combinations.

• Alternative to apply dimension security in planning?

  I created a new application and need to apply the security settings that are in the old version of the application. Is there another way to do accept via Administration-> Dimension. See if there is security on a member, note that what kind of security and groups that are assigned to this security? For example, the dimension entity and account are very deep and there are a lot of groups of users, so it will take me ages to reply to this. Another way to do this?

• Custom dimension security class

  There are in our Custom 1, business lines in place. I want to restrict users to specific sectors of activity in Custom 1. I added safety class C1 members and the security file that I have loaded in the system. in the SSP, I assigned asscess control the user with security for the country and the C1 class it needs to access. However, the class of the country's security has worked he can only access these country data. But the C1 security class does not not because he can still see the business sector that I attributed to him.

  Follow these steps and try,

  1. give the name of the artifact in ro "zf015", 'zF015 Gain', WRITING, MEMBER
  2. check the weather the form name mentioned in the secfile and the name of the form in the application are the same
  3. even check the space if spaces additional please remove and try to re-import the security.
  4. If it is a simple form giving ro, WRITING, 'Gain to zF015', SL_FORM, MEMBER , or if it is composite shape give it as ro, 'zF015 Gain', READWRITE, MEMBER, SL_COMPOSITE.

• Security in planning error when you access a data form

  I have a question about access of dimension-level security and the user.
  
  We have a user who has received a data form, but he is still not able to access it. It has dimension security level applied to each user. When he tries to access the form it throws an error-
  
  "Security and/or filtering resulted in a necessary dimension is not represented on this form of data.
  
  How to know what size is? Is there any other means other than the manual method of entering each dimension and to check it out?

  I'm not sure of any other way apart from the Suggestion of the Alp of overlapping security export or play with USER_ID and OBJECT_ID of Table HSP_Access_Control or take an export of LCM of just security and take a look at users.xml.

• New user created does not all data in reports

  I use Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.1. I have a problem when I created a new user in the system through shared Services. Reports are reports and analysis reports.
  
  I have reproduced a current user of the system and applied the same groups and provisions. However, the new user may not display all the data in the reports. However, the current user is able to do. I'm quite literally baffled.
  
  The existing user has been given to the provision of "Planner". In addition, the existing user has dimension security applied as well. It works very well with the existing user, as when I connect as long as existing user, the data is available only for groups and dimensions that it has been assigned to.   It's very disappointing. Here is what im going to recommend you to troubleshoot. Ive seen this error several times as I'd like. create 2 new users. Available as planners and give them roles of approval with the appropriate dimension security administrator.

  now see the error disappeared, pare away the return authorization roles until you see the error again, and you will understand.

  It is easier to do it this way and learn what you say the dish.

• Question about SL_CLEARALL

  For a security planning application, using the option "SL_CLEARALL erases everything" when used with ImportSecurity.cmd.
  
  This means that if we clear/replace security when we run the import of security it would also open up access to the form and report security security as well... The fact that 'all' includes dataforms and reports access security too?

  SL_CLEARALL impact on each security object that is defined by the planning application. This includes the dimension security, form, lists of tasks, etc because they are defined in the planning. Security report is set outside the planning and would be unaffected. That said, if you use this setting, the user will have access to run the report; report pointing to planning application where SL_CLEARALL has been used may not show any data since you had deleted from planning dimension security/data.

  This is because the way Planning filters are configured in Essbase (not your fault). Planning filters are configured as read in Essbase and planning internal mechanism displays only the members that the user has access. However, when he uses Smart View Ad - hoc, it connects to Essbase (not planning) where the playback filter comes in. It will be able to see all the members.
