• Adding security to account dimension members

  Hi all
  
  I have a Hyperion Planning V11.1.1.1.0 application.
  Dimension of the accounts are members of the suite Oracle E - biz.
  I have manually added security* members (about 300) the dimension of accounts in order to create dataforms for different users.
  
  What is the easiest method of adding security to members of the account dimension+ because it has become very difficult to manually add security accounts as the number of members in the dimension increases significantly (say 1000).
  
  I also noticed there is no way of the only children of a particular parent would inherit the security of parents.
  
  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Also, you can certainly apply the security for the children or descendants of a given member.

  There is a drop-down list in the form of security entitlement that allows you to assign security:

  -MEMBER
  -CHILDREN (including the original member)
  -CHILDREN
  -DESCENDANTS (including the original member)
  -DESCENDANTS

  There is no reason to apply security to individual members if you can avoid it. The functions of relationship will facilitate your interview.

  I loaded the access of dimension for about 4000 members/groups with the ImportSecurity utility. Now, I want to delete those that we have changed the design of the security.
  Already, I know the SL_CLEARALL option but this option is not useful because it will be not only clear another dimension access loaded earlier, but also my data form access etc.

  It won't be a magic solution for to manage you your access permissions, LCM will allow you to export to XML or the exportsecurity to txt and then you have to make your manipulation.

• Create a member of the group security on a dimension on Hyperion.

  Hi all

  I need to restrict my security on each dimension member that I use.

  To do this, I created a group on the Shared Services Console Hyperion with the members of the other user. After research by and it returns me the group without any problem.

  Then I return to Hyperion, go to Dimension, select my Dimension, select the Member and click on assign access groups tab--> Add, and then when I start looking for the name of the group, I signed up earlier, it does not appear.

  I found my solution. Some of the groups previously had two users. Each of them are assigned in another group of groups that have defined provisioning before (have some selected roles on that).

  Then, when I created my groups, I had to add them to the assigned group.

  In this way, I need not to the provision of each group, that I created. It's structural and faster than do all the work for all of them.

• READWRITE VS. WRITE access permissions - Dimension/Dataforms

  I know there are 3 types of permissions for dimensions, dataforms etc. - READ, WRITE, NO (none is the default value). I wanted to know if there is a difference between READWRITE permission and WRITE access.
  
  The thing is when I exported the security using the ExportSecurity.cmd utility I have observed that the dimensions defined manually in the planning showed READWRITE under access permission so that the dimension members / who were given permission to access by using a security file showed WRITE.
  
  Course in the security file told us he just like WRITING so he appeared, but to set manually the dimensions, he showed READWRITE - why this difference? Is READWRITE the good way to mention access authorization?

• How can I assign access to 950 members?

  How can I assign access to 950 members of the dimensions to different groups of users by using a method not GUI?

  I'm working on Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.3 and tried to attribute access for 950 members in a dimension for different groups of users.

  I tried the method of GUI (size section-> assign access->...) after 190 members I abandoned it and thought there must be a better way.

  So here's my question... y at - it another way-(prompt orders, LCM, third party utility...) - I can assign access to 950 members user group?

• problem with secure access

  Recently, I buy a scandisk 4 GB USB key.  It came with secure access software.  I failed and eventually remove the software.  Then I downloaded the software to access secure on my USB key.  I got the arch in place.  Then I closed it down.  Now, whenever I try to run access secure - it takes several minutes before I get the logon screen.  What's wrong?  What do I ned to do?  I am running windows 7 64 bit.

  I have no experience with SecureAccess download but the blade I bought recently has SecureAccess on this and I have to suspect that they are similar if not identical.  Mine also shows a version of 1.1.19269.0.

  It is safe to add the role of reset of password on the same server as Secure Access? We have our server configuration to secure access for the Web and AppPortal access.

• Error Application Security Access is Denied as administrator on file object

  I get access denied whenever I try to delete or rename a file.  I am logged in as administrator id

  I tried the fixes on the forum; change the owner of the file through file security property properties and command line as administrator 'Takeown f' described in another forum article, but none of the solutions work.

  I suggest that you check if there is that all previous versions are present, if all previous versions are present, then you can try to restore the previous version and check.

  1. right click on the file, click Properties.
  2. click on the previous Versions tab.
  3. check if all previous versions are available and select the same.
  4. click on restore.
  5. click on OK.

  Now, check if you are able to delete the file or not.

  You must use the same method to load the members that you already use in EPMA, if it's a pure Essbase applications and metadata should be loaded for EPMA and not through the Regional service.

  If you already have applications of EPMA, then you would use the same method.

• Applying a secondary sort order of dimension members?

  My organization is running short 3.1.1 inexperienced Manager.  We currently have some of our dimensions (for example, "product.brand") configured to have their members to be ordered by refinement (number of visits) County, in the apps / file /config/api_input/schema.csv (appname).  (So in the navigation on the left of the application of our trade, the users see this dimension members ranked by number of hits, top-down, for the current slice of the projected product catalog.)

  The company asked if we can apply a secondary sort order, such as the dimension is always sorted by number of hits, but among the members of the dimension with the same number of hits, a secondary sort of alphabetical sorting criteria is applied between these members.

  Is it possible to do through short configuration?

  Not possible out of the box (you can have some sort of combination for the records, but not for dimension values).  It should be simple to do in your web application layer, create a comparator and compare() compare on DimVal.getProperties () .get ("Dgraph.Bins") well first of all, and if it equals compare on DimVal.getName ()).

  Someone knows how to secure access based on intellectual property in the directory /vim for this device. I don't see an anywhere httpd.conf file to add restrctions. Y at - it no option to restrict access to the mobile site at all?

  I think the https configuration information in the doc: http://communities.vmware.com/docs/DOC-9741

  It's a back-end based on Tomcat, so you won't find stuff in httpd.conf of Apache Tomcat uses XML quite simple config files so you should be fine.  But do not forget to "restart the mobile service" after changes are made.

  Hello

  Are you sure that you associate dimensions "VALxxxxx" in the workbench to your valid dimensions within Essbase?
  VAL dimensions are down at the bottom of the list of dimension for the adapter Essbase... and ValEntity, ValAccount, etc.
