Dimensions of the ASO

For purposes of recovery is the ASO cube that is robust enough to manage several dimensions - I'm talking about 10 to 15 in a cube?
Thank you

10-15 size is perfectly feasible if the cube is well designed.

  • How to add a new dimension in the ASO cube without losing all the data

    Hello

I have an ASO cube with 18 dimensions and I want to add a new (regular). When I add this new dimension he asked me that data all have cleared out before the restructuring can take place. If I click Yes then I would lose all data, regardless of the fact if I export Level0 or not. Because when I tried to reload the export in the cube, he gave me a cause of error all the sides were not present export. Does anyone know how I would be able to accomplish this task?

    Thank you
    Mickael

You can try this work around solution.

    (1) export data from Lev0
    (2) delete the cube
    (3) add the new regular dimension.
    (4) add a default member Reg00 in the new dimension and save.
    (5) open Lev0 data in a text editor, insert 'Reg00' at the beginning of the file and enter.
    (6) Lev0 file will first record 'Reg00' and the remaining export file will be of the second disk.
    (7) load the file changed with a rules file.

You can check all your history data will be loaded w.r.to the Reg00 of the new regular dimension.

  • Calculate the dimensions of the Cube ASO in 7.1.2

    Hi all

Please let me know how to find the size of the ASO Cube in Essbase 7.1.2.
One of the ASO My cubes contains 8 dimensions and about 75,000 members.
In application folder .otl, .dat, .app, .apb .rul files are there.
And the size of all these files from 111 MB only. (My assumption was the size of cube is the result of the addition of all these file size)
I missed whatever it is to calculate the size of the cube.

I heard that the size of the cube would be in the UK.

    Thank you
    Alain

You can either take the full directory under the essbase\app\yourapp folder structure size
It would be pretty much the same that you add up all the files .dat and .otl

  • Is it possible to create a Dimension attribute in a database of the ASO?

When I create the parent of the initial attribute and try to save the outline, it gives me an error that I need to associate the dimension of the attribute to the dimension of the base. So I go to my Member of L0 but the associations tab is grayed out. Any ideas if it's possible to create? Thank you!

    Okay, you do that.
    1. create the dimension of the attribute
    2. click on the basis dimesnion
3 right-click on the DIMENSION NAME and select Edit properties
    4. click on the attributes tab. You should see a list of the dimensions of the attribute
    5. once the dimension is associated with the base dimension, you can assign attributes to members

    question like this:

ASO cube with dimensions, dimension is used.

and we put a dimension attribute PayType to the dimensions of the employee with the value of the exempt /NonExempt attribute.

now the question is: not all employees are good with attribute values, there are some employees without these PayType values.

and we want to create a report script to extract data from these PayType No. employees.

    We tried to put

Selection and output options for dimension rules: 'employee '.

    < WITHATTR ('PayType' free '<>')

    < WITHATTR ("PayType' '<>' rampart)

I don't know if there are other controls can help to do.

  • shared members disappear automatically after the deployment of the ASO cube

    Hello

What we were doing as below:

the memerbers dimension are loaded by source for epma odi, and then, we deploy the aso and epma bso cubes.

and the process type in the profile to load dimension members is defined as "merge as primary.

    the question as below:

    (1) initially, the hierarchy of the dimension as it:

    size AA:

    A

    A1

    A2

    A3

This dimension is aso and aso cube deployed successfully.

    (2) the users change the hierarchy of the source table.

changed to below: (just add a parent for A1 and A2 under A initial parent.

    A

    A'

    A1

    A2

    A3

AFTE, this changes, and members are responsible for epma once again, the hierarhy of dimension in epma is as below:

    A

    A'

    A1

    A2

    A1 (Shared)

    A2 (Shared)

    A3

and this process of loading and applications deploy processes run automatically overnight pocess.

I thought that I delete the A1 A2 shared hierarchy and deploy the cube again after overnight charge and deploy processes.

But what I saw in the structure of the aso cube after the party deployed the process is also that:

There no common A2 A1 in the sketch, but just below members in the cube hierarchy in essbase.

    A

    A'

    A1

    A2

    A3

It's really weird, why shared members disappear automatically after deploy and make different hierarchy between epma an essbase outline

    can you help me?

    I have no idea...

EPMA is ASO-> size is set to "multiple hierarchies enabled" otherwise please turn on and then try to deploy.

    Thank you

  • BSO to the conversion of the ASO - helps the formula of Member

We have a BSO cube and it is converted to ASO. The account dimension has the attribute SOLDETEMPS properties, and therefore the time dimension cannot assign to either dynamic or multiple hierarchies because of which I'm not able to define formulas for Member in the time dimension to ASO, this requires the dimension to be either dynamic or more hierarchies to have member formulas. MDX scripts is the way to go I'm not very familiar with the scripts, MDX and its use. Please advise and also I would like to know if there is another way to solve this problem.

do not use the properties of balance.

You will need to take the time to be dynamic, created shared hierarchy similar to

    FOR A YEAR
    Jan shared
    Feb shared
    ......

Then mark up your TB accounts with udas as TBFirst, TBLast, TBAverage.

You have two options where you can join the MDX formula of time CDA/QTD or attach the MDX formulas to members of the account saying IIF YTD then make first/last/moy.

You can choose between the two, if you have less number of accounts of TB, so I would say that set the formula to members as well as other members can obtain the value of CDA Member rolls.

  • Optimization of the ASO - BSO

    Hi all

I'm working on the model of the Aso - Bso. All data are stored in Aso and we recover data in excel Add in the BSO. There are 13 dimensions except for the dimension account all are sparse dimension and the dimension account are dynamic calc. I am facing some problems when extracting data for some of the excel reports. I get error message "error in the extractor of contour." I increase the cache data to 1000000 even in the essbase .cfg file I've made a few changes, and I'm able to recover 90% of my data. still not able to receive complete data. Even in the properties of the ASO, I increased the cache on hold. is there another way to fix this or an alternative approach that can help me solve this problem.

What value can I set for the data cache and what modifications can I enter in the essbase .cfg file and how many max I can put forward to cache? or other suggestions

    Thanks in advance

I'm sorry, we tried to give you some tips to help you, but without knowing your applications, hierarchies, dynamic members, partitions, it is difficult to help you more. I suggest that you bring in a person with experience in the present to help you understand it. This will cost you less in the long run. (How long have you lost of tring to understand yourself)

    Hello

I know in the 'Pictures' folder, you can select "Show view options" and then "view info point" and it will show dimensions photo... but it is not possible in a different directory, not to mention that the pictures folder?

I photograph weddings for a living, and I'm fairly new to mac. Naturally, all my images are stored on external drives... I don't see the dimensions of the image? It seems that I have to open each image individually within the preview, and then press CTRL + I to see! Please tell me I'm wrong.

  • The dimensions on the mobo MTQ45MK need, ThinkCentre M58P desktop computer

All - beginners, glancing a ThinkCentre M58P, not the SFF desktop computer, with MTQ45MK mobo and my understanding is that there mATX mobo, but I need the dimensions because it may wind up in a different chassis until this project is completed. I think they call this Panda Board. Thank you

    Bob87

Receive my eBay system, dimensions on the mobo are 9.6 x 9.6, which is the larger of the two form factors card mother mATX. It makes sense, since it is so complete. I will detail my swap of the system in another forum,

  • Need help with the dimensions of the wallpaper

I'm having trouble with the size of the paper painted. I created a wallpaper of 640 x 480 for a friend who was composed of a glass for each row of icons - so the icons looked like they were sitting on the glass shelves. However, after the wallpaper has been transferred to the phone, the shelves were out of position. I edited the wallpaper to 455 x 320 (height less the area occupied by the notification bar), transferred to the phone and the shelves were in different places, but always out of position.

Some other wallpapers I created include gradients had horrible air once set as the background of the phone. This tells me that the phone is stretching or compressing the wallpapers. I saw that some of the default look wallpapers. Anyone know where I can get copies of the default wallpapers? This could help me with dimensions.

Here's an example: I have attached a background degraded at this post. When I transfer this wallpaper on my phone, I see individual strips of coolor rather than gradual change from blue to black which was intended. If the wallpaper is the exact dimensions required, the gradient effect is expected instead of the bands of color display.

What is the exact size required for the best wallpaper? I've been using 640 x 480, but this isn't the best size.

It seems to be the screen of the Cliq XT, can't get on Vibrant, HD2, or MTS.

  • DisplayImageFile() does not change the dimensions of the image control

    Hello

I put in an image with DisplayImageFile() control image + assigning to the attribute of control ATTR_FIT_MODE = VAL_SIZE_TO_IMAGE. The image size is larger, then the size of the control and I want the control to resize to the size of the image.

It works fine except when I ask the dimensions of the control with GetCtrlAttribute (panel, control, ATTR_HEIGHT, & height), I get the original size (before calling DisplayImageFile())...

It seems I missed something basic...

Environment: LAB Windows CVI 2012, Windows 7

    Thanks in advance

    Ramy

I don't know if you still experience this problem or not, but I came across this discussion now and wanted to point out that this could happen if your picture controls if it is covered by another control or is it hidden altogether (and there might be other similar situations that I can't think of right now).

When this happens, the CVI runtime can pull the image directly on the image. Instead, he plans an asynchronous action that will redraw this section of the Panel from the back to the front (if it's just overlapped, not hidden). It is only in the later action that the image is applied to the control, and it is only then that the control is resized to fit the image. This may seem immediate to the casual observer, but, because it is asynchronous, you can't try to get new size immediately after calling DisplayImageFile, because the image is not yet in control at that moment.

Ironically, this occurs only if the control has already been set to the image size at the time you call DisplayImageFile. If this isn't the case, then the new size is applied when you later change the mode made programmatically. Whereas if the adjustment mode has been already updated the image size, trying to programmatically set the same value of the image size has no effect and nothing happens then.

If this is what is happening, one way around this would be to call ProcessDrawEvents or ProcessSystemEvents immediately after the call to DisplayImageFile. Unless the control or Panel has been hidden way explicit, which will require the drawing action will take place at this time, and you should then be able to get the new size of control at any time after that.
