disable - enable hibernation

Hello, I'm a little confused about how can enable disable hibernation in win 8. should I just the checkbox uncheck or must change and behavior of the power buttons? (I think the default settings for all the buttons is the mode "sleep")

  • How do I completely disable the hibernation on the Satellite Pro A300

    Hello! I know the questions with Satellite Pros do not wake up from hibernation, and I read the answers, which recommend an update of the BIOS and OS.

    My BIOS is the latest version, but the OS is XP and should stay that way - I bought the laptop, which could to downgrade (for business reasons).

    Since my computer laptop does not wake up from hibernation, I thought I would disable hibernation completely I don't need (I use the PC at home 99% of the time). I disabled hibernates from the Power Options in the control panel and also in the Toshiba Utilities, and the service is confirmed to be disabled in the BIOS when I check using F2 at startup.

    My problem is that the PC will still hibernate after an hour or two of being in standby mode, and then it won't wake up unless I reboot. Let me explain better: I'm home, I stop to work for lunch and before going to lunch, I put the PC to sleep. If I come back an hour later, he went into hibernation in its own right, despite the hibernation is disabled.

    So my question is: given that the software/BIOS Hibernate disabling does not what it says on the Tin, y at - it a HARDWARE setting that disables the Hibernate once and for all? Something like a rider to be moved or modified, or similar?

    Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hello

    Have you checked the Vista power options if hibernation is disabled?

    You can find it in the control panel-> Power Options

    There is a link to the advanced settings. Select this check box.
    There should be the option to enable / disable the hibernation

    Hello

    I recommend first test mode hibernation without the mouse connection. In addition, the message of the PS/2 mouse is very mysterious because the laptop doesn t all taken supports PS/2!
    How do you connect the mouse?

    However, the hibernation mode must be activated before use. To use this feature, go to the power of the control panel and select Hibernate Hibernate indicator and activate!

    You can set a variable bean said "textBeanDisabled" and set the value of this 'Y' or 'n', based on your health status.

    Then set the disabled property

    Just copy - paste your logic to the above post:

    String textBeanDisabled = "N";

    {} public void onRadiobuttonVCE (ValueChangeEvent valueChangeEvent)

    Add the code in the event here...

    log.info ("GCONF1001Bean onRadiobuttonVCE() started:::"+valueChangeEvent.getNewValue()); ")

    }

  • I bought Adobe Acrobat Professional and tried to turn it on for a while.  I also had this same program on my old computer.  How to disable enable it from this computer so that I can activate it on my new computer?

    I bought Adobe Acrobat Professional and tried to turn it on for a while.  I also had this same program on my old computer.  How to disable enable it from this computer so that I can activate it on my new computer?

    Hi larrygoynes,

    To transfer the license from one pc to another how to proceed is to 'Disable' the license first of the older machine.

    To accomplish this, you need to launch Acrobat, go to the 'Help' menu and select 'disable '.

    On the new machine, you can install Acrobat and then use the serial number to 'Turn on' the software and it will complete the transfer of license.

    You can refer to the KB Doc: Activation & deactivation help

  • enable/disable, enable or disable the tabs

    Hello

    Im trying to enable or disable certain tabs in a tab based on a toggle switch control.

    When I put everything in a while loop and create the control as a false conditional Terminal, then my program works fine and I can toggle tabs on and outside. However, if I include a stop button in an event structure it does not work.

    It does not even if I give a default false value coupled with a Boolean OR.

    The image is attached.

    Any suggestions?

    Do not forget that the loop will not go to the next iteration until all the code at the end of execution. This includes the structure of the event. He will sleep waiting for an event to occur. You can add a timeout event. You then plug into blue hourglass on the top left.

    But it would be better to add a value for the "Boolean" control change event and place the code in your false case inside this event. Also put the terminal in there with the code. It keeps things organized and allows Boolean values locking action to work.

    A little more information bit independent. The function array index is not the constants 0 and 1 connected to it. The default value is 0. Just a tip.

  • How can I disable standby/hibernation / startup emits a beep and the sounds?

    I have a Lenovo Thinkpad x 200 running vista Ultimate edition. 7454 - cto of type

    How can I disable those annoying beeps that sound whenever my computer goes in and out of standby and Hibernate.

    I tried to transform the model of 'No sound' sounds, but the tone still sounds when the computer enters and wakes from sleep and hibernation.

    If I turn on "mute" is put into standby or Hibernate mode, the beep does not sound (which is what I want). Unfortunately, its impossible to come back on MUTE when im trying to put the computer away from the sleep or Hibernate (which makes it very distracting to turn on the computer during the class).

    Solution:

    Enter the BIOS by pressing F1 during startup

    > Config

    > Beep and alarm

    Tone control power set to [Disabled]

    Your solution is correct, but I think it's also accessible under ThinkPad Power Manager software. Go to the "Global settings" tab and choose "beep when the power state changes.»

    Try the following:

    Click Start / run
    Type "cmd" (without the quotes)
    Click OK
    At the command prompt, type ' powercfg /Hibernate on "(without the quotes).  There is a space between powercfg and / hibernation.
    Press the return key.
    Type "exit".
    Press the return key.

    If this does not work, reboot and enter the BIOS Setup menu.  Find the power management settings and make sure that power management has been enabled in the BIOS.

  • Change an icon images to grayscale or color levels when it is disabled/enabled

    I have a button in my application that is configured to be active when a tilelist (profile1EntertainmentAddLinksTilelist) has at least 1 point in it. I have a text but also a color icon in this button.

    I currently have 2 functions of code 'convertToGrayscale()' which converts components into levels of gray and 'convertToColor()' which converts the components to the color.

    What I want is so that when it is clicked the convertToColor apply to it even when disabled convertToGrayscale would apply to it.

    I know there is a 'enabled' property in the buttons, but is not to be a fundamental property of "disabled".

    Another problem is, within my button, I already have an enabled property so that when the tilelist component with a component, only then is enabled. Is it possible to add the convertToColor function in the property enabled so that it is activated when the tilelist component has more than 1 point in it that the button is enabled AND it converts the color? This is the bit I'm struggling with that.

    Enabled = "{profile1EntertainmentAddLinksTilelist.SelectedItem}" "

    This solution uses the change and valueCommit event.
