Disable inheritance of the permissions under windows 7

After the death of my Vista PC (thanks to the gods of drive) HDD, I turned on by mistake "inherited" permissions I think it was a serious mistake and that you want to disable this feature. Unfortunately, I can't find my footnote to the way I turned it on. It makes me crazy and seems to cause me problems. can you please offer some advice?

Thax for the very detailed reply. Although the proposed response was not my answer, it has been well thought and would have given more than one solution very. I'm an inthat to blame my definition is probably not complete. My problem was that I had no Vista file for access. I'm sorry.

I however go back in my file "browser history" and discovered the site telling me to 'enable inherited permissions '. I was able to go back through my stupidity and get back to where I started.

Thanks again for your excellent help. RMB

  • Tecra A8-185 - the update of the BIOS under Windows 7?

    Hi again,

I have a question how update of the BIOS under Windows 7 ultimate x 64. I downloaded the latest version of the BIOS for my laptop (Toshiba Tecra A8-185 PTA83E). After having unpacked there is only the .exe file.

When I try to run this file, he said, that my OS is not supported. When I run it in compatibility mode (with Vista or XP), it starts the upgrade, but gives me an error: "the BIOS upgrade is failure (8). BIOS is not able on this configuration. "What should I do? I really need a new BIOS.

Can I run it at the start of the USB key, or whatever?

    Hi offi55

Why do you need a new BIOS? You may notice some problems with the laptop or why are you trying to update?

However, I think that the update should only be done on the pre-installed Windows version (XP or Vista). I guess that this update n t tested and designed to update Windows 7 so I think that would be the reason why you can t.

So to install Windows from the Toshiba Recovery disk and try to update again. It should work.

  • How to change the font under windows icon size 8

We have Windows 8 Pro and would like to change the font size under the icons for a larger size. In Windows XP and Vista, this been done easily by selecting the look and colors of Windows and selecting icons.

We would like to see an easy solution to this problem.

    James

This changes the ICON and the text of the same size, I want to change ONLY THE TEXT under the ICON not both. I need to enlarge the text under the icon, I don't want to enlarge the icon.  You have been able to do under XP and Vista.

    Hi Sudieq,

Are you facing this problem under Windows 98? If so, please see the information provided below.

Microsoft ended support for Windows 98, Windows 98 Second edition and Windows me on July 11, 2006. Because they are outdated and these older operating systems can expose customers to security risks. We recommend that customers who are still running Windows 98 or Windows Me upgrade to a newer, more secure Microsoft operating system.

  • It is possible to make the ios under Windows with the new Flash Pro Cs5.5 applications?

It is very difficult to find a concrete answer this question some people said yes and no other; I need to know before I pay the developer of royalty.

I'm going to aprecciate much for the help.

    Thank you

What people were saying and what I think you are talking about is when you submit your application in the store, it may fail. What people do on a Mac is to rename the generated .ipa from Flash in .zip and then expand it. Then they go in the file that unpacks it called "payload". There is a .app file, which is the file that wants the store. You extract this file, rename to IPA and download that.

If you search google for "Flash zip ipa extract apple store" or a similar barrage of keyword you will find instructions on this process. And Yes, you can also rename a .ipa in .zip and extract it as well under Windows. You will find a folder of payload, and a .app inside.
