• How to disable Lenovo energy management

I have Vista Home Premium on my Y430. Once I disabled Lenovo Energy Management and used the Vista build-in power management. My impression was that the battery lasted longer when you use the build-in one than Lenovo Energy Management (4 hours from 3 hours in symmetric mode).

I activated there is Lenovo energy management. But now I don't remember how to turn it off. Does anyone know how to disable? Thank you very much.

I found a way to disable management of the energy of Lenovo using Windows Defender. Click 'Start'--> 'All programs', right click on "Windows Defender", select "run as Administrator". Click the 'tools' at the top of the window, and then click "Software Explorer". Click on 'Show for all users' in the lower left corner. In the "Category" list, select "startup programs". Select "Lenovo Battery Management Software VerX.X" on the left panel. At the bottom of the Panel, click the button 'Disable' (or 'Remove'). Lenovo Energy Management this will prevent to run the next time that you start your laptop.

To activate it, just follow the steps above and click 'Activate' to the last step. Or you can go to 'Control panel'--> 'Power Options'--> 'change plan settings'--> "Change power settings advanced"--> "Lenovo Energy Management" to enable it.

• Disabling Microsoft transceiver eHome infrared

Hello, I'm desperately trying to disable Manager devices Microsoft eHome infrared transceiver. I ran the DM as long as administrator, I opened the HIDDEN list and, as I think, there are two drivers running that allow this "infrared transmitter", "Microsoft eHome Infrared Transceiver" and "ENE CIR Receiver" on my laptop (HP DV6). When I right click on these devices, there is no option disable as almost all other devices, and when I open the Properties window for each of them is the button turn off, well, disabled and grayed out. Apart from uninstalling those drivers who really, I don't want to do because I use the remotes often enough, but the drivers prevent you games (like Elder Scrolls Oblivion), I am at a loss on how to disable them.
Any input would be appreciated, thanks!

• T500 annoying beep! (the cause is not battery power management and no BEEP in Device Manager)

I have ThinkPad T500, 2241, CTO. Whenever laptop starts, there's an annoying beep. It is not a signal that can be had when the power state changes. BIP is both in power and disabled Manager in the power management BIOS section. In addition, in the Device Manager in the list of non-plug-and-play, I disabled the BEEP. This noise is still there. Update BIOS. However, there is no other section in the BIOS where I can disable the beep. Help, please!

There's nothing there. I contacted Lenovo support center - they said a beep at the beginning is fine and standard, nothing to worry.

• RV220W wireless access management

Is it possible to disable management of the wireless router? My point is that anyone (being a user wireless or someone else) could hack the password of the exterior of the building and change the settings of the router via a wireless connection. I know that the lower range of Linksys offers this feature, but I can't find it for the RV220W. I actually want to make sure that only one Ethernet device allows to manage the router. That will add to the security that I currently have full control over these computers.

Daniel,

The RV220W doesn't have a function to block the web administration for wireless users along with some of our existing products. Please do not forget to use a strong password.

Edit: You can add a second VIRTUAL LAN to wireless users and disable device under Table membership management VLAN.

• Enterprise Manager license

Hello

so I read the entire document 'Oracle® Enterprise Manager Licensing Information 12 c Release 1 (12,1) part number E24474-06' (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24628_01/license.121/e24474.pdf), and yet I don't know if we can use Enterprise Manager Cloud control in our environment without purchasing additional licenses.

In detail, we have several Oracle databases, some with Standard One, a standard, some with license of the company, some EE databases have also packs and additional options, others without options or packs under license. Cloud control would be a single instance without advanced options or packs installation.

Among others, I read the following things in the documentation:

-Enterprise Manager includes license restricted use of the Oracle database as the Oracle Management repository only.
-For each target listed, you can enable or disable management packs associated with the target.
and
-L'Enterprise Manager Cloud control 12 c basic installation includes several free features with the purchase of any Oracle software license or a Support contract.

Now my questions are:

1. from what I understand, it is, when I own a license of Oracle software, I have also a license to install and use Oracle® Enterprise Manager Cloud Control and I can use this facility to administer all targets, as long as the target that I have managed has a proper license, regardless of who is the owner of the license of the target (we have not the license of some targets)?

2. I have an older version documentation I read that I can use an Oracle as the Enterprise Manager repository database and RMAN catalog, but I can not find it in the current literature, is still valid that the license to repo EM and RMAN catalog is free?

3. I intend to use the EM and to not buy a license, so where can I find some overall valid information without asking someone who is specialized in licenses for sale ? Why it is not covered in detail in the actual documentation?

Because it is a LEGAL issue, not a review of the LITERATURE.

• Color management, (again!)

I know this has been discussed before, but I've yet to find anything that can help me solve the problem. It starts to become a serious obstacle to the professional work, any thoughts would be appreciated.

I have the eye1Display2 and a Gretag Macbeth checker color and regularly calibrate my monitor profiles and the camera. I work with CS5. The colors in Photoshop are always away from other applications outside of it. Flickr even. I guess it's because of the color management, but I even turned off which, (which gives me a warning message now whenever I bring in an image), and the problem persists. Worse still, the colors displayed by working with RAW images are now different from those in the main interface, and even in this case, they are NOT the same outside of Photoshop, while all other packages are compatible. My solution right now is to save and check in the other packages, but is simply not good enough for the curves, HSL adjustment, etc. I do a lot of work with skintones, which are particularly critical of color.

So my questions are - how to disable management of the colors of Photoshop completely so it is not apply any research at all to the color of any module?

If I want TO apply the color profile of the i1Display and software X - Rite Color Checker Passport, how can I know what it is actually and carried through RAW processing to the rest of the package?

Thank you very much

If what you're saying here, it's a fully color managed application as Photoshop, respects the color that is different from applications non-management of colors, that's just what you should expect.

There is no such thing as color management throughout the system. It works just like that. Individual applications do (or not do or even partially) - color management.

This is the key:

Color management applications perform transformations on the colors displayed in the color further absolute precision at the expense of consistency with non color applications.

Corollary:

Some applications of the wrong color management to interpret some color profiles. It happens.

Developing that Dag said in the post above, #1 no transformation takes place if the document profile corresponds to the display profile.

Then... IF you work with documents in the workspace color sRGB IEC61966 - 2.1 (aka just 'sRGB' for the purpose of this discussion) and IF you want to display these images to match as much as possible between applications of color management and non-management of color applications, there is only one possible direction, you can take:

1. set up your system to associate the profile sRGB provided by the system to your monitor (s). This is done via the OS configuration dialog boxes.

2. adjust your monitor (s) to match as closely as possible sRGB color space. Some monitors were manufactured to be close, and others have the ability to be defined in this way. Still others may not be directly defined in this way, but the response of the system can be changed with the basic controls (brightness, contrast, saturation, etc., as well as adjustments of curves in the video card drivers).

When the above conditions are met, you will see the following results:

Documents image of a. sRGB, which constitute the majority of those published online and are usually the default output of digital cameras, will always appear the same in applications non-management of colors and color (Photoshop). Depending on your needs, you can configure Photoshop to work in sRGB color space to create your own images (he is actually of default Photoshop).

B. in Photoshop and other applications of color management, you will get a good in the whole management of the colors of the image documents in other color spaces, although you'll see just the colors outside the gamut (i.e., a larger color space colors and which can only be displayed in the sRGB color space) as fully saturated and therefore somewhat distorted. In practice, most of the colors in most of the images raise the sRGB gamut.

C. you will see accurate color management by the partially * Internet Explorer 9 color management, within the constraints of point B above.

D. given that profile sRGB color that comes with all Windows systems is well trained and is the default, there is almost zero chance that an application of color management will be wrong interpret it and produce the twisted color. This misinterpretation happens with other profiles, a surprising number of times, sometimes even with profiles generated by good quality color measurement and profiling of the devices. Color profiles are not negligible, and some software can simply use profiles.

The real thing (significant) in this strategy is actually make your monitor to closely match the sRGB color space without using a monitor profile. However, it IS possible to get close and for many people 'pretty close' + 'uniform between apps' is better than ' perfectly accurate in Photoshop but the mismatch other apps. It can even be verified with a profiling feature to help the development.

* IE9 interprets the color profile of your document and always turns within sRGB color, regardless of your monitor profile. So the only way to make the colors come out right is to have the monitor actually BE sRGB. So far, unfortunately, it seems that ie10 in Windows 8 follows this same strategy of "half-cooked.

• Photos appear darker in Facebook that in Internet Explorer 8 are there settings to adjust Mozilla?

If I find pictures on Facebook using IE8 they appear normal, if you use Mozilla Firefox, they are dark, sometimes too dark to distinguish which is the image. If I upload the photo on my desk, it seems normal. What can be done to correct the problem?

Firefox has a built-in feature to look up color profile information in JPEG images and adjust the display for the color profile of your monitor. Sounds like it doesn't work well at all.

You can disable the "color management" function and see if you get a better result. Here's how to try it:

(1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

(2) in the search above the list box, type or paste gfx and make a pause so that the list is filtered

(3) double-click the gfx.color_management.mode preference and enter your preferred value:

• 0 = > disable management of the colors (try)
• 1 = > color manage all graphics
• 2 = > color manage graphics with profile information specified (default)

• Firefox changes color between mbp10.10.2 & my NEC color screen - no other browser this

photos posted via firefox37.0.1 are incorrect color on my NEC monitor classified even though they are correct on my MBP10.10.4 screen - all my other browsers show the correct color

By default, Firefox will color manage images that are marked with specific ICC profile information. It seems that Firefox may use the incorrect monitor for your NEC profile, or maybe it can use only one profile, even if you have two different brands of monitor (an Apple, an NEC).

You want to turn off the color management feature and see if you get a better result? Here's how to try it:

(1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

• Satellite L300 - wouldn't connect to the router

I've had this laptop for 2 months, it worked very well to connect to my WiFi router, then one day it would not connect, although I had a signal from my Siemens SE587 router and my Tiscali IP, but I got the message 'there must be a problem with one or more network adapters on this computer.
I tried the ipconfig/renew command and received the message that no operation can be performed on the wireless network connection, although it has its media disconnected, the same message to connect to the Local network.

If I connect my LAN cable in the computer laptop all work ok, but not the wirelss.
Any ideas please.

Hello!

Maybe a silly question but that you have activated the card WLAN? You can do it with FN + F8 and switch on the laptop hardware.
Check it!

In addition, it would be interesting to know what operating system you have. You may need to disable management feature in Vista the WLAN power supply management.

• Satellite L750 - very slow internet

Hello

I bought a new toshiba L750 and Wi - Fi connection is very slow (almost useless).

I have a sony 5 years, sitting next to him using the same wireless connection and it is much faster (pages take seconds on sony, toshiba minutes).

It must be an internet setting? I find it particularly slow in hotmail. Once loaded the pages once seem a little faster the second time, but always as fast as it should.

any suggestion would be appreciated.

Thank you

Hey,.

This happens in Eco mode? If so, it could be caused due to saving energy characteristic of the wireless network card. You must disable management feature in Windows to energy WLAN power management. You can set the WLAN card for maximum performance.

What router you have and that you already have a firmware update?

• NB520 - Wifi and Bluetooth works fine but can not turn off

I bought new toshiba nb 520, almost everything is OK except wifi and bluetooh on the netbook cannot be disabled

I tried FN + F8 to activate the wifi but it does not work at all, the only way to turn off the wifi windows 7 uses the device for disabled Manager

is not everything, bluetooth has the same problem, yes it can be turned off by free config and turn a red light icon in the system tray to show bluetooth is in the off State, but after 2-3 seconds the light become blue and the bluetooh is on

so the summary is
WiFi = works correctly, but cannot be disabled, except disabled it the windows Device Manager
Bluetooth = works correctly and can be disabled, but it will be swicth on automatically in 2-3 seconds after it turns off

I have tried many solution, I had the netbook bios update, reinstall the driver but still no luck
can anyone here help me

Hello

It's really, really strange, I mean the BT and the Wlan can be turned on and off using the Fn + F8 key combination. He s strange that it does not work.

To my knowledge the Fn buttons are controlled by VAP (value added package) and the Support of additional Flash memory card utility BT stack and Wlan driver must be installed.
I would recommend following:

-Uninstall the driver Wlan and BT stack
-Uninstall the VAP and utility of Flash card support
-Install CCLeaner and clean the registry (CCleaner is a free tool)
-You must restart the computer after each step.
- Then reinstall the driver Wlan and BT
-Restart and install VAP and Flash cards
-Restart the unit and check if BT and Wlan can be enabled and disabled.

NOTE: Fn + F8 should be pressed several times disabled these functions.

• Satellite L disconnects randomly WiFi

My laptop keeps randomly disconnecting from wireless network even if the network has not ceased to issue.

After what happened, often the laptop will pick up the fact that there are wireless networks but refuses to connect.
The only way to solve the problem is to restart the laptop, then go through the repair process by ' + * wireless connections * +' where it says then I need to ' * + turn on wireless capability + *' which seems to have broken, even if I deviated _not the switch_ wireless, so it remains in the position we.

Is there anything I can do to fix this problem without having to restart, because it becomes painful.

I'd appreciate any help as I start to go slowly insane! Thank you! :)

Hello

In most cases these WLan problems can be solved by WLan driver update.
I can't find an info if you have already tried these updates so I recommend this review in your ad

http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

Alternatively, you can try to disable management feature in Win 7 WLan power supply management.
The point is that Wlan connection could interrupt because of this energy savings helps extend the battery working but affects the performance of Wlan.
