Disable post resolved

I write this to see if there is a way, once a problem has been marked resolved, if you can go back and uncheck, for example, if you did not mean to mark it as resolved.

I don't know how but try this

  • Cisco ISE 1.3 disable "Identity Resolve" step?

Currently, I am working for a client with a Cisco ISE 1.3 deployment.

The Cisco access point are currently authenticated by MAB, the customer wants to improve that I proposed to implement EAP-FAST speed of the MAB for the AP for a quick and easy solution.

I work in the test and production environment, but I was cycling through the authentication process and found something strange.

I created a rule that if the Tunnel network protocol is EAP-FAST are authenticated by internal users.

It works very well, the ISE recognizes the flow and internal users through authenticatie.

On the way he also decided to search for the user in Active Directory.

Given that the user has not been created in Active Directory, that it does not.

    15004 Matched rule - AP_EAPFAST
    15016 selected the authorization - AP_Lan profile
    11002 returned access RADIUS acceptance

So the authentication and authorization is successful but he try's to resolve the user in active directory.

I checked the authentication for MAB process, and here I see the same error.

The MAC address of the device used to MAB also is added to the ISE, then authentication through internal users, authentication and authorization is successful, but ISE wants to solve the (MAC address of the device) user in Active Directory.

We also see this step for the flow of EAP - TLS, and in this case the identity stage via resolution is successful.

Is it possible that I can disable the resolution of identity through AD when the internal user group? (or in the world?)

I did some research and found this (search for LDAP users)

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/security/ISE/1.0/user_guide/ise10_man_id...

When I look at our deployment, it is nothing configured under LDAP.

If you have rules in your authorization rules that use ad groups that are in front of your MAB or the EAP-FAST rules, ISE will do a search to see if it needs to match this rule. Put your MAB and EAP-FAST rules about AD membership rules, and it won't do the research.

Was thinking of switching 5400 RPM for the SSD because I feel its too slow way. I was wondering if I need to disable my Windows 10 key before making a new start?

    CasualRisk

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post on your question of activation of Win10 and wanted to help.

In Win10, the product key is stored in the motherboard UEFI firmware.  Because you're not change that, you risk to disable.

In addition, the activation key is stored on servers for Activation of MS, and that information are NOT linked to the HARD or SDD drive you are using.  I can say this because once I got Win10 works as I wanted, I migrated there a disk HARD of a DDI and nothing has changed - except the performance is much improved!

    Good luck

  • HP Probook G3 450: Start slowly after bios update

    Hello everyone,

I am a new user of laptop Hp so I need your help, I want to thank you for your time to read and help me with this problem.

Yesterday, I updated the bios Hp SoftPaq Download Manager recommendation. Progress to succeed and the result of this action made my laptop boot really slowly. The first time, it took just 10 seconds to start windows 10 compared to more than two minutes after the update of the bios.

I've already searched google for help, but it still does not originally.

Please help me with your experience on it, I really appreciate all your help.

    Best wishes

    NewHpUser256

Assuming that this PC came with the edition of Win10, all I can guess at this point is the default setting for FastStartup is in conflict with the new version of the BIOS.  It is a new form of hibernation which is supposed to speed up your boot process, but in some cases, it actually slows down.

There are two ways to disable FastStartup Win8/10; (1) via the control panel and (2) through a command prompt high.

Control Panel - open Control Panel-> Power Options.
Select ' choose what buttons power. "
Select "change settings that are currently unavailable".
At the bottom of the window, under stop settings, uncheck the box about quick startup

High - command prompt run the following command:
    REG ADD "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Power" v HiberbootEnabled /T REG_dWORD 0 f d

    In both cases, restart Windows.

If this doesn't fix it, there is something to play and while this PC is still under warranty, you should contact HP Customer Support directly so they put you in contact with HP Tech Support to see what they can do on the diagnosis and repair of your machine remotely.

I did recently, and HP technology was able to remotely access my PC on the Internet and to make the necessary repairs.

If you live in the United States or the Canada, details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

If you live elsewhere, contact details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

NOTE: once you get through, stay on the line until you are finally able to talk to someone ' one - it can take a while!

  • HP pro 650: ISP

It of just a general question, is my ISP in their right to deny me access to a particular Web site?

    niloc

If there is no way to answer this question.

When you purchase the service from an ISP, you conclude a contract, and the restrictions imposed on you are usually set out in a very long and detailed Terms of Service (TOS), which nobody ever reads.

Even if what they do is not covered by the contract, your only realistic option is to terminate the service with them - as a legal battle with an access provider is going to be long and costly.

Since you are using Win10, my own suspicions (since I don't trust it), is that the blocking of the site's Edge (which is a really bad excuse for a browser) or in one of the hidden in Win10 security options.

Sorry, but I don't use Edge (as a matter of principle) and I rarely use more Win10.

My suggestion is to download and install Spybot Endogeno-lighthouse to disable the privacy of Win10 things: https://www.safer-networking.org/spybot-anti-beacon/

That's what I'm using Win10 to control privacy settings.

  • Welitebook HP 8540p: Wireless disconnects frequently after updating windows 10 Hp Notebook welitebook 8540p

I'm updating to win10 about a month ago. Since 3 days wifi disconnect every minute...

is it because of a windows update?

    concerning

    linustocn

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post on WiFi often disconnect and wanted to help.

Whenever someone comes here running Win10 and complains about something just suddenly does not work, I immediately suspect driver updates Windows.

Unfortunately, Win10 forces automatically updates driver on each of us, without our knowledge and without our permission - and in this case, a work PC is suddenly 'broken '.  This could happen to you.

You must go to settings, update & security--> Windows Update.

Then choose Advanced Options--> history to see when the updates have been applied last.  If you see one that include device drivers, who might be the problem. So, if you can, you should see if you can restore the drivers that are causing the problem.  Do so you by going into Device Manager, see if the device is still listed and so, trying to restore the last driver update.

And if this resolves the problem, then disable future driver updates by using the information in the link: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/48277-driver-updates-windows-update-enable-disable-windows-10-a.html

If you don't see the driver updates recently, then try the steps in this thread: HP PC - wireless network and Internet troubleshooting

  • stream HP laptop: difficulties to download apps

Hi, I have problems to download a player home application I get just the circle going along if that makes sense

    davreron21

You mentioned using Win10, so can I assume that you also use Edge for navigation?

If so, this could be your problem as Edge is constantly wok work-in-progress, and given a new period of six months or more, it might actually be a decent browser.

I left edge using some time ago, I got tired of being a Guinea pig for the em experiment in their metro-disabling of Internet Explorer (IE) in a browser with much less capacity.

My suggestion is to try to use same IE and it works, consider switching to use, instead of edge.

  • QuickLook works do not for the pictures in Messages

I am a very experienced user with multiple Macs and several iOS devices, all El Capitan running (or Yosemite) and iOS 9.3 and all messages (SMS/text/iCloud) synchronize correctly between all devices. But on my main Mac, a 2015 (MBP) (El Capitan) MacBook Pro, if someone texted me photo, when I select this picture, and then use the space bar to call QuickLook (to enlarge the photo), I get a window (white) large, empty, instead of the actual image:

(Interestingly, the empty window door the correct name of the photo, but no image).

So, on this machine, if I want to display an image that I received, I have to drag Messages on the desktop, and then I can use QuickLook. But QuickLook refuse to work within the Messages.app. (This is NOT the case on any of my other Macs. On these machines, when I hit the space bar, I get a larger version of the picture, as expected. "But it's the Mac I use more often!)

I should also mention that this MBP is new, and its contents have been cloned, from a backup of my previous MBP a few weeks ago. And the previous MBP had the same problem, both in El Capitan and previously in Yosemite. This seems to suggest that there is a kind of corruption, somewhere.

    Any suggestions?

I've considered trashing preferences, but Messages has several preferences files, and I don't know which ones to affect function. I'm fine with reset preferences of the application or on the way home my account information. But more importantly, if possible, I don't want to lose my message history.  :-)

    Preferably related files include:

    com.apple.imservice.iMessage.plist

    com Apple.IMessage.Bag.plist

    com Apple.iChat.plist

    com Apple.imagent.plist

No one knows which of these may be better to try to remove, while retaining the history of my message? Alternatively, if I'm on the wrong track, I would appreciate any other suggestions.

    Thank you!

    Hello

The captain also lacks the ability to open preview

This photo is also an AIM chat who actually sent this photo 'online' if I zip (Compress) them.

com Apple.iChat.plist is not holder iMessage 'story' that he she now holds the recent list of cat (which is useless because there is no option in the file Menu to access).  It also holds all preferences and Settings Menu d ' option.

com Apple.imagent.com holds the account names of all accounts that you have and are involved in logging operations behind the scenes. There is a process called image that starts when the computer does and it will be based on the setting in the General Section identify enough to 'listen' servers. The parameter in the section general read "when I leave Messages, set the status offline" - it does not affect the iMessages account that will always show offline Messages.

com.apple.imservice.iMessage.plist it is not longer used.  Yosemite El Capitan, it uses com.apple.ids.service.com.apple.madrid.plist instead.  It is also only on the info on behalf of iMessages and not on the 'history' or how pictures of cats are treated.

com Apple.IMessage.Bag.plist it lists only the last used Apple iMessages server.

However, there are these some .plist in ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.soagent/data/Library/Preferences which also play a role.

Note the location of the path bar across the bottom.

com.apple.messageshelper.FileTransferController.plist very probably watching the wick she holds a record of all the files and images sent to you, but in the hex names.

    View of Xcode.

com Apple.quicklookconfig.plist doesn't seem to have relevant information.

The next would be the Preview but .plist which is as empty as the at a glance.

The real "live .plist lies in ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Preview/Data/Library/Preferences , rather than having an Alias point in the folder ~/Library/Preferences.

That said, and after reviewing through it I see no reference to what applications it is allowed to work with.

This seems to be a question that involves 3 apps, look and preview Messages.

All have read and write routes through ~/Library/Containers and the file final storage ~/Library/preferences.

I am tempted to check the number of files that have lost your property and read and write permissions see this thread and useful item before the green marked resolved one.  Reset Home Folder permissions and ACLs error  (Linc offers first - marked text relatively useful, then a "Fix" that is the Green post resolved.

I run Linux distributions on my desktop PC and from your description, the problem is almost certainly the lack of video drivers, especially in the case of the AMD video chipsets.

I'm not familiar with the Ark, but I don't know with Ubuntu, which I had problems driver AMD for several versions now, and the last, Xenial 16.04, fglrx drivers simply will NOT work because they are not supported with the new version of the kernel and will not be - as AMD is working on a new driver open source to replace fglrx.

HP forums provides no support for Linux issues, if my suggestion is to check with the forums Linux appropriate for each distribution.

In addition, as you use a video chipset AMD, you might find the info you need on the Phoronix forums: AMD/ATI Linux - Phoronix Forums

  • Want DV-7373: when Windows 10 update is no longer free, what then?

I tried upgrading to Windows 10 64-bit more than 15 times for about 8 months after it became available. I have studied possible solutions until I just couldn't do more. You name it, I tried it-everything except for agreeing to erase all my data and the currently installed software. I refuse to do it just to get Windows 10.

So my question is, what will happen this summer (2016) where Microsoft no longer offers free upgrade? My plan is to use only my HP Envy running Windows 8.1 until the death of my laptop to old age. Do you know if Microsoft will stop supporting the Windows 8.1 end of 2016?

Oh and just for fun, I spent nearly 12 hours on the phone with Microsoft Support trying to get my upgraded laptop and could not even 2nd level support upgraded. They did not know why he would not be level. The 1st and 2nd level Tech support even remotely connected to my laptop to evaluate my system and run the upgrade themselves and failed.

I hold no hope that anything short of a system to destroy and the loss of all my software and data will work... and which does not occur in this life :-)

    Keki

MS has announced that they intend to interrupt the free upgrade to Win10 the end of July, 2016 and after that, you will have to pay the rate for an upgrade - more than $100 USD.

It keep bouncing back in the media tech, depending on where you go, but to date, MS is not passed back on this announcement with no indication that they intend to continue the free upgrade.

    Good luck

  • HP EliteDesk 800 G1 USDT: impossible to switch to Windows 10

This is my first time on these forums, so I hope this is the right place to post this.  I'm trying to upgrade my work computer to Windows Windows 7 Professional professional 10.  I work in it, so I have full administrator rights to do this.  However, when I try to run the Upgrade Wizard of Windows 10, it keeps telling me that I can't do, and the display is the problem.  The message it gives is:

! Display: The display is not compatible with Windows 10.  Consult the manufacturer for support.

I am currently using two monitors, a HP EliteDisplay E241i and a HP Compaq LA2405wg.  Both work very well.  I just went to HP's Support site and downloaded the latest drivers for both, and it has not yet resolved the problem.  Is someone can you please help me understand why I can't upgrade?  The app has only said that it is not compatible and offers no help or anything.  Thank you very much.

    Thanks for the info...

You're lucky - done HP offers 32-bit Drivers for some versions of Win7 for your PC.

It's the HP for your PC product page: http://h20565.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/readIndex?sp4ts.oid=5387484 & lang = to & cc = us

Select the version of the OS you are using.

Then, download and install the graphics drivers.

    Then restart.

IF all goes well, you should have complete graphics capabilities after that.

However, I've updated several Win7 PC to Win10, and with everyone, some issues had to be resolved - so I wrote this guide to help people who are determined to make this update...

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------

You think about the amount of work that you want to post just to run Win10.  Seriously.

Desktop computers older Win7 tend to fare badly when upgraded to Win10 - mainly due to lack of HP Win10 drivers for older hardware.

If you are determined to upgrade to Win10, you must be willing to do four things:
    (1) do a full image backup of disk external drive or USB stick, capacity
    (2) changes to the reserved system partitioning hard disk recommandΘes mΘthodes,
    (3) use a different approach and maybe more than one, as Windows Update to do the upgrade,
    (4) prepare for a clean install.

    ---------------------------------

    1: backup of images:
This is VITAL, because the machine is doomed to failure of the upgrade, and when that happens, you will learn that GoBack to Win10 function is NOT reliable, and that can leave you with a corrupt machine that will require the factory reset and lose all that on it, to get it working again.

You can avoid this by making an image backup to an external hard drive or a USB drive using Macrium reflect (MR), which provides a FREE version that can be used to image and restore partitions or drives together.

What I recommend is the following:
    (1) download and install Macrium reflect (MR)
    (2) run M. and choose the option: "Create an image of the partition (s) required to backup and restore Windows" to write a full backup to an external drive or USB key
    (3) use the option to create a CD or a USB startup key

NOW, you have the means to restore a full system that works for the external hard drive or USB key in a few minutes.
    ---------------------------------
    2: System reserved for resizing:
There is a small partition on the HDD with Win7 preinstalled machines known as system reserved.  It is something known as the boot loader code.  There is 100 MB format: all that is necessary for Win7.  But Win10 needs 350 MB and, in some cases, is NOT able to resize it on its own.  IF this happens, you must manually use a partitioning tool to resize it yourself.
    ---------------------------------
3: use a different approach to upgrade:
Windows Update is the simpler, but less reliable, way to do the upgrade from Win10.  A much better and more reliable way is to use Microsoft Media creation tool: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/media-creation-tool-install?ocid=ms_wol_win10 choose the upgrade this option now PC.

After all this, you know that MS install drivers with only the most basic features.  Given that HP does not have drivers for your PC Win10, this limited functionality is the best you're going to get.  HP does not actively write new drivers from Win10 for the old PC Win7.  To keep all the features of your PC, your best shot is NOT to upgrade to Win10.
    ---------------------------------
    4: be prepared to clean-install:
If you do all this, and after the upgrade, your PC works partially, this means that the upgrade is not well and stuff is still there the previous OS corrupt the functionality of Win10.

You MIGHT be able to solve the problem in fact a clean install of Win10. Problem is that, often, a clean-install does not recognize prior activation, even if it should. So, before doing the upgrade, follow these instructions on the community forums Win10 on creating a genuineticket.xml file: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/23354-clean-install-windows-10-directly-without-having-upgrade-first.html

You need more later to activate your pc Win10 after the installation of clean.

    -----------------------------------------------

    Good luck

If you want to be sure, you could do the following:

    (1) remove the drive from the PC

    (2) connect the drive to another PC using an USB hard DRIVE adapter cable

    (3) download and install a partitioning tool: free Partition Manager - Partition Wizard Standard AOMEI software

    (4) use the option in the tool to check the drive - it must fail.

    Good luck
