    Help, please

Hello, this looks like a problem possibly caused by malicious software on your pc. Please go to firefox > addons > extensions & remove any suspect entries (toolbars, the things that you have not installed intentionally, I don't know what purpose they serve, etc.). also, go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from here and do a full scan of your system with the security software that you have in place as well as with various tools such as the free version of malwarebytes.

  • How to restore the TILES feature to the new tab?

Totally new for Firefox. Has the function of front tiles. Now I just get a completely blank page. I updated a program called Web Companion, which has changed my homepage for some reason any. I think that was the cause. Now I can't get back tiles, or see an option in the settings to get it back.

"The part of the help page that says"How can I disable the new tab page' may have been useful for me to MARKET, but the blue gear icon "that they suggest I click which allows the ' Enhanced/Classic/white' option does NOT EXIST!

I even tried to reinstall Firefox to restore the default settings. Not good either.

    No idea what's going on.

  • How to stop firefox from opening new tab when opening a pdf file that is already recorded on my desk?

Windows 7 Pro 32 bit PC

PDF files on my desk I have already registered. When I open the PDF file, firefox considers justified to open a new tab, even if I do not have the browser open. It's boring because after I close the PDF file I then have to close the browser window new tab as well. It costs me a lot of time to productivity as I opened a large number of PDF of the work. The PDF file to view the Adobe logo on the file on the desktop. Once I installed firefox displayed the logo of firefox?

I've already put in PDF to open it with Adobe by default via Menu-Options-Applications

    Please try:
Right-click on your .pdf file to open the context menu, select "Open with", then "choose program by default... "In the window"Open with"choose your favorite pdf-viewer and define the box always check"use the selected program to open this type of file. Then click on the OK button.

    Is this solve your problem?

  • Not a question, but a solution to unwanted thumbnails appearing in a new tab.

I was forced to create a new profile, because after an update to version 17.0, Firefox has persisted in tabs from the previous session. Unfortunately another problem developed, namely the constant appearance of a series of thumbnails in a new tab, an installation that I certainly won't. After reviewing the forums and using Mozilla, I tried all the solutions proposed without success.

Finally, I went to: browser.newtabpage.enabled config and rendering it is false. Dull thumbnails have disappeared!

It is also documented in the support article of customize the page new tab (see the section "How can I disable the new tab page").

  • After you disable the new interface to tabs, all new documents are not open in a larger window

    Hello

Yesterday I upgrade my Adobe 11.0.10 Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 15.010.20056 player. The tabs interface was pleasant enough, but there are still some limitations with this features, such as,.

1 > no option to set no maximum. tabs in a single window,

2 > tabs cannot organize, to be moved to a new window and several selected

I want to disable the new interface to tabs via Preferences > General > open documents in the new tab in the same window (not checked), but after you turn off the new tabbed interface, all new documents open after the first document are not open in a maximized window, they always opened in a restored window.

No matter what I do, it keeps - on the opening of the second new pdf in this one, restored windows are the things that I tried to overcome this.

1 > right of the DC open Adobe Acrobat click in the task bar > Adobe Reader DC > right click > properties > run: enlarged - only the first document opened in maximized windows, documents later opened in the restored only, window that too seem to not work when I closed the last document in a restored window. Opening in the same window type is part of the windows operating system, it does all the time, "opens the entire application in the same way that they have been closed, either maximized/restored and the size of Windows too". Only the first one application window is open in this way, rest of the windows open is seems to be not supported by the operating system.

    the default value is - "bNullDocMaximized" = DWORD: 00000001 , "bMaximizeNextDocument" = DWORD: 00000001 and "bResizeOnOpen" = DWORD: 00000000

Exchange only tried on the third button (the rest has been preset to required values) - "bResizeOnOpen" = dword: 00000001 - restart > no change > reset to its default value

    What to do now...?

  • How can I disable the tab appearance totally new tab when I right click to open a new window?

Whenever I did a right click on a link in Firefox and select "Open Link in New Window", the new window that opens with TWO tabs: a tab containing the target for the clicked link, another 'New tab' tab that contains icons for sites I don't want and don't care. Even more embarrassing, the 'New tab' tab is the tab, which is active/selected when the new window appears, rather than the tab for the link, I clicked.

It's very annoying and highly undesirable behavior. When you click on a link and choose "Open Link in New Window", we should get a new window that contains ONLY the information that is displayed for the target of the link. We shouldn't receive TWO tabs.

How can I get rid of this behavior? I looked for a solution via Google but have not found one.

I hope that the Mozilla team will fix this problem soon. I use Firefox for a long time and have found that it is a very good browser. However, this new behavior has totally destroyed my good feelings about Firefox.

    Thanks for reading my comments.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode without failure.
  • I want to open links in a new window but cannot find where to put the setting. Having disabled the "open new windows in a new tab instead" box in the Options dialog box.

When I click a link on a Web page or other software, I want to open in a window, completely new.

You can hold the SHIFT key and click the left button of the mouse a link to open this link in a new window.

The setting in tools > Options > tabs is only for links that specify a window target and you can hijack such a link in a new tab instead.

  • the tab that opens a new tab is absent, I can't open a new window to do anything.

I can open links in a new window, everything seems to work properly. But if I want to just open a new tab to go somewhere new this is not there anymore. I tried to use an "improvement of the tab" addon but don't like it then I disabled (Tree Style Tab).

You can open a new tab by middle-click of free space on the tab bar?

Try clicking on default settings in the Customize palette.

Open the Customize and set the toolbar to display items.

    • button '3-bar' menu > customize
    • If the missing elements are in the palette to customize then drag them back into the window to customize the toolbar
    • If you don't see an item on a toolbar in the Customize palette, then click the Reset default button to restore the default toolbar configuration
