Disabling the FC paths?

Hello
This morning, I asked a question to myself: it is possible to enable and disable a specific path to a FC Lun with PowerCLI?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards.

You can use the Set-ScsiLunPath cmdlet with the - setting Active to enable and disable a specific path to a FC Lun with PowerCLI.

  • Disabling the direct paths of ESX and VM guests

    Hi all

Hope that this question has not been asked before. (I did a search but could not find anything specific).

I'm looking for reassurance about a proposed change, we seek to bring to our system.

We need to upgrade one of our Brocade switches that will cause some interruptions in service of the said switch. (We have two bucks and each ESX host has 2 x single port hba with a connection to each Brocade card)

Literature, that I read, it seems to me that I have to force data store traffic over the other switch to allow me to remove the Brocade for its upgrade.

-Proposed method for each data store attached to a host, I intend to disable the relevant path and force a failover to the remaining path that leads to the secondary Brocade.

I have a few questions about this approach.

    (1) I guess that manually disabling a path should result in no time downtime or loss of connectivity failover occurs in an operational environment? (We will off hours, but it's a 24/7 environment).

    (2) Although the majority of our servers use VMFS, some use LUN RAW. These servers would encounter difficulties if I force a failover situation through a path of disabling?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

    Welcome to the community

Hope that this question has not been asked before. (I did a search but could not find anything specific).

It was asked before several times, in any case

    1. OK, even if you remove a cable adapter HBA, ESX would shift all traffic to the next available path. Don't forget that you have the vmware tools installed in the virtual machine
    2. No problem with RAW LUN, it would behave like VMFS
  • Disable the automatic application of a related to PSD clipping path

    Beings,

The forum search is broken so excuse me if this is already covered. I've recently updated to CS5 and every time I place a PSD file in my document, the clipping path (if it exists) is automatically applied.

I'm using clipping paths in my Photoshop PSD inside Indesign more that I use, so I would like to prevent this happening automatically. This habit never to arrive before CS5 and I did not find the setting that controls this.

I hope that this can be disabled because it is boring!

    TIA

Check "Show Options" in the place of dialogue and stop it here, it should be so sticky.  Or if you drag from Explorer / bridge to do a file > place instead, do it once must reset it.

  • Bluetooth is not disable the Satellite L755

    Hello

I'm having a problem with the Bluetooth built into my laptop: the Bluetooth connection works fine, I can send and receive files without problem. However if I want to * turn off Bluetooth *,.
I can't find the option to turn on/off.

    The laptop is a Toshiba * Satellite L755 - 1 c 1 *, running Windows 8.1 pro, 64-bit.
Then, the ability to switch the Bluetooth power switch should be in PC configuration? PC and devices? Bluetooth, but this isn't, when I followed this path, the laptop automatically starts to scan for Bluetooth devices and I don't see the * usual on / off option * (here an image google image, just to make it clearer what I mean with usual we / off option http://i.stack.imgur.com/RYsM5.png).

I know that option sometimes power can be in the same location of Wi - Fi on/off function PC options? Network? Airplane mode, but here I can see only the Wi - Fi power switch option.

I also tried to press FN + f8, but this combination of keys disables only the Wi - Fi, no Bluetooth. Turn on same flight mode, stop my phone to send and receive files via bluetooth. I don't know why, but the airplane mode stops the connection Wi - Fi, but not the Bluetooth.

I understand that the connection is only with the associated devices, but for batteries and for security/privacy reasons, I think it's very annoying to not be able to disable the Bluetooth.

I never checked if there was this problem also when my laptop was running windows 7 or windows 8, so I don't know if the problem came with windows 8.1 or not.

I don't know where I can find more information on Bluetooth of my phone which could help to solve this problem, should
I checked in Device Manager? Bluetooth or Device Manager? Network cards? Bluetooth device?

    Thanks for the help,
    Marcello

    > However if I want to disable the Bluetooth.
    > I can't find the option to turn on/off.

A question just to understand your problem:
Screenshot image belongs to your system. Right?

What system do you have exactly? Is - this win 8 or 8.1 Win
I m asking this because there is a difference between winning 8 and 8.1 Win

Win 8, you will find the power switch BT under:
-> Laptop-> Wireless settings under wireless box

    8.1 win BT appears in:
Settings PC-> PC and devices-> Bluetooth-> manage Bluetooth devices zone

It is also 2nd way to disable BT in Win 8.1 in PC network settings:
Settings-> network-> airplane mode laptop-> to the title of wireless devices, move the Bluetooth market / stop

I m wondering about the Win 8.1 software and drivers that you have installed on this laptop.
Usually it s necessary to install the driver of Toshiba system to win 8.1 as well as the filter for 8.1 of Atheros Bluetooth driver win without this software, BT will not work correctly

  • Disable the TestStand 2014 report batch

    Hello

I'm trying to disable batch report generation in the model batch of TestStand 2014. I found this thread back in 2005, but it seems that things have changed a bit since then with the addition of the Plugins model in new versions of TestStand. I always want to the individual report for each shot to test but I would like to disable the additional orders summary report. Anyone know the best way to achieve this?

I seem to have jumped with success the guests to collect the serial number of the lot.

    I think I got it.

    There are 3 steps.

1 - one, that we discussed.

    2. read report any controller model plugin - end

3 - determine the path of the Batch report file in Plugin - Start Batch model

    Hope this helps,

I haven't had any changes consciously, and the games do not work in any user account.  When I've done sfc/scannow (command prompt) he said that I was not the administrator.  I could learn from another source to solve this problem - in the start menu, right click on the command prompt icon, and then click Run as administrator.  Hope everybody help with this problem.  If you do not have command prompt in your Start menu, any type of command prompt in your search box and it should appear.

Are the same username and password on both systems?
What is the share name you are trying to do on the XP machine?
Let's say that the share name is music, you would get to it by typing \\hyd02\music

    OT: error code 0 x 80070035
My wife and I have 3 computers all running Win 7 64 bit. Two jobs and the third is a laptop. My desktop or laptop computer I can access any folder of each machine. I have updated owner and security settings in both car and system, as well as temporarily disable the firewall. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

Method 1: Run the network troubleshooter and check out what he has to say.

    See the links below:

Make sure network discovery is enabled on the laptop computer, by default the State network discovery is disabled. If network discovery is off, please take the following steps to turn on.

    (a) click Start.
    (b) click on Control Panel.
    (c) click on network and sharing Center.
    (d) click on the arrow to drop down next to the network discovery.
    (e) click on the option, turn on network discovery.
    (f) click on apply.

Method 2: The question can be caused also by your security program such an antivirus or a firewall of Windows /Defender that can have conflicting parameters as to not not to perform certain tasks. I suggest you temporary disable antivirus and firewall and check the result again. You must activate new security that you was disabled programs.

  • How to temporarily disable the update insert dates?

    Hello!

DW CC on MacOS 10.11.3 2015.1

I use "Insert date" (see: https://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/using/insert-dates.html) to track the most-recent-update of content pages.  The time stamp is displayed after "Page updated:"about content. "

I just discovered a systematic error in repeated, without reusable content in 1500 + pages. Oh!

The solution is simple and I would like to use search and replace in DW to do the job, but I want to leave all the most recent timestamps in these pages intact, that this correction does not affect content.

My question: how to temporarily disable the DW mechanism that updates the timestamp in the markup?

I suspect that there is a visible JS file that implements the update, and the path to success is to temporarily replace an inert version of the same name, but before you start digging for this...

    TIA

The file you need to disable temporarily is at the following location in Windows: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CC 2015\configuration\Translators\Date.htm. He will be in a situation similar to Mac OS X in the Applications folder.

If you use an earlier version of Dreamweaver on a PC running 64-bit Windows, see C:\Program Files (x 86).

Date.htm contains two JavaScript functions: getTranslatorInfo() and translateMarkup() you need to temporarily replace with dummy functions.

Know that you will be editing a program file. Needs administrator privileges to do this. As long as you know what you're doing, it should not cause problems, but you do at your own risk.

    Thank you
    JAS

    Philippe,

So, if I understand your needs, you want users to be able to load the session and change the values once, save it and then not be able to register again (unless they re - load the session)?

If touches you when registering, you must keep this state somewhere, the best place for this is probably a cookie.

    * When the record button, set a cookie that allows you to hide the Save button.
    * Clear the cookie if a new session is started.

I think it's important to say again, that: hiding the Save button does not neutralize save web application if a user built the correct URL, they will still be able to record.

Take a look at http://www.w3schools.com/js/js_cookies.asp in regards to javascript and cookies

  • Inside the tinted path selection rectangle

How to make a rectangle selection inside the way? whenever I do this, it's just by selecting and dragging instead of create a selection rectangle.

I'm a bit puzzed too, like Mike. An object within a fill is not Illiespeak. Do you mean a path or object on another object?

Do you know how to work the selection tools? Black arrow to select entire objects or groups. White arrow to select the elements of the path. White arrow with Option/Alt to select paths together in groups or compounds.

Have you tried to disable the preview (map mode, Cmd / Ctrl + Y)? It is sometimes easier to pick things like that.

I'm runinng PS CS4 on Win XP.

I was wondering why he was constantly high hard disk activity when PS CS4 is running. Sounds click, click, click all the time...

I used sysinternals filemon to see what is happening here.

I figured out that PS CS4 wrote permanently in a file named "alm.log" (c:\documents and settings\[username]\local\temp\alm.log).

The beginning of the alm.log contains information (useful), but after a while PS CS4 wrote the following text in it:

As you can see that it happens several times per second! Man, this really lame! Click, click, click

    How can I disable this?

The only way I found out so far is to delete the entire folder c:\documents and settings\ [username] \local\temp\ before starting the PS CS4. When this path does not exist, PS CS4 does not alm.log and it seems that it isn't still trying to connect to something. It doesn't seem to bother PS CS4 that there is no alm.log and he seems to have no disadvantage of having no alm.log.

Unfortunately, the temporary path is restored (I think by Windows?) each time the computer is restarted.

The solution may be to use a startup script file to remove the path each time the system starts, but I'd be happy to find a better way...

That means ist: "menu of deactivation is activated?
