Disabling weak protocols ACS 4.2?

It is may be old hat now, but can you confirm or deny that the SSH on ACS4.2 server can be configured to avoid customer negotiation with weak protocols? I would like to make sure SSHv1 cannot be used. Is he (SSHv1) can be turned off, exactly how is it done? If it is not possible with ACS4.2 is there a later version where this can be disabled?

Currently SSHv1 cannot be disabled:

It is always the case on ACS 4.2.1 which is later currently for the ACS 4.x line.

That being said, the shell SSH is very limited on GBA. The only thing you can do is run a synchronization of RDBMS. There are three other orders (orders csutil) but they can not be executed unless the services are stopped.

    I implemented the following steps (from the manual):

    1. update the JCE policy files to take in charge the high-strength Cipher Suites

    You can add some cipher suites of high resistance for greater assurance, but first you must update the local_policy.jar and US_export_policy.jar files to each server instance and the security strategy for JRE 7 see connection to the server. You update these policy files by downloading the files to extend JCE (Java Cryptography) unlimited strength political jurisdiction from the Oracle Java SE download site 7.

    If you include some high-strength cipher suites in the list and you do not replace the policy files, you cannot restart the VMware view Horizon connection to the Server service.

    Policy files are located in the directory C:\Program View\Server\jre\lib\security from VMware.

    For more information on the download of the JCE unlimited strength jurisdiction policy 7 files, see the Oracle Java SE download site: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html.

    After you update the policy files, you need to create backups of the files. If you upgrade the instance of the view connection server or security server, any changes you have made to these files can be replaced, and you may need to restore the backup files.

    2. the changes that policies of global acceptance with ADSI Edit

    • Start the ADSI utility on your computer see connection to the server.
    • In the console tree, select Connect to

    EAP-ServerSSLSecureProtocols_ \LIST:TLSv1.1,TLSv1.2

    It is not the highest possible, but they work with all the features of our customers.

    • Restart the service of VMware view Horizon connection server (server connection and security).

    This is not Activate secret transfer (if possible) , but other points are covered.

    If anyone can give a tip to activate the transfer secret, I would be grateful.

  • ACS 3.1 user account disable failure attempts to exceed:

    I look through the documentation on ACS 3.1 and can't seem to find the default password attempts failed. What I want to know is if there is a time limit for how long between password attempts failed the counter is reset. ACS retains an infinite number of the race and after failed attempts the account determined locks if there were 2 minutes or 2 weeks between failed attempts or there at - it some time, after which the failed attempts are disabled?

    There is no timetable associated with it. If the user enters an incorrect password 5 times in a row (by default) over a period of time, the account is disabled.

    ACS maintains a counter of the current number of connection failures for each account in its database, and it resets it to 0 if there is a successful connection. Theoretically, you can connect 4 times incorrectly, wait a year, and as long as your database is still intact connection again with an invalid pw and the account will be disabled.

  • Disable SSH on Cisco routers/switches CBC encryption

    Our customer ordered PenTest, and as a feedback, they got recommendation "disable SSH Mode CBC Ciphers, and don't allow that CTR ciphers ' and 'Disable weak SSH MD5 and algorithms MAC 96 bits' on their switches Cisco 4506-E with CIsco IOS 15.0

    I went through Cisco documentation that I could find, also tried to find commands on the switch itself, but I found no way to manipulate these SSH options. (SSH v2 only is already set up)

    Is it possible to do this on Cisco IOS? If this is not the case, what are my options?

    You can use an external server for authentication. But that will not change anything in the encryption.

    RAY will be fine for authentication, if you are also looking strong authorization, you should look into GANYMEDE +.

    Back to you initial problem:

    Some long time there was a similar problem with a client and it resolved in the following way:

    1. All routers and switches had a class of only two Linux servers access to access devices through SSH.
    2. The SSH server was accessed by admins and used as a jumping point to access the routers/switches
    3. Linux servers had a put to update the ssh-server config to allow only the strong crypto to Admins and also check the administrative work.

    With this, there was strong crypto by the admin-workstations to linux server and pretty weak crypto of the Linux for routers switches (which was at the time-3900XL-2950). But as the linux-boxes have been placed in the management network, all on the risk has been reduced.

    When I disabled all protocols except TCP/IP Protocol, the network WORKED! Now the Internet works, I can download large files and browse shared files with the same speed as my other laptop!

  • HELP Please: problems connecting to Google Chrome or Internet Explorer: think it has to do with my network cards

    My computer works perfectly except that I can't connect to the internet using Google Chrome or Internet Explorer. Internet works fine.  I have another computer that is connected to the same network, and it works fine.  Also my signal strength is optimal. When I try to go on Google Chrome, it says that the web page is unavailable & the reason why is error: 105 (net: ERR_NAME__NOT_RESOLVE) the server is not found.  When I try to use the Internet, I get this message:

    Device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device (Code 31)
    I've tried everything and looked at other forums. I went into Device Manager and tried to update the driver, but whenever I do it just says that all updates are already made.
    I really feel that my problem has something to do with network cards. When I go to Device Manager and discovered the network adapters 13 different adapters appear. The 1st is Atheros AR5007 802. 11b / g Wireless Adapter and it looks like it works very well but there are 11 different (Microsoft 6to4 adapt #10) (all have different # s, 10,11,12,14,15,16,17,18,20,5,9) there is (NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller)
    I think the problem is with the Microsoft 6to4 adapters because win I right click & then click on PROPERTIES of each adapter says: State of the device, this device is not working properly because windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31) So, is to "find solutions", says & when I do that nothing happens, a message flashes on the screen that says: "Could not load driver software" and that windows is looking for information, but nothing ever happens.
    Can some1 please help me! My computer worked fine and both Google Chrome and still worked and then out of the blue it just stoped working. Any information would be very useful

    Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Answers community forum.

    You have found the source of your problems.  You must remove or uninstall, all the cards of 6to4.  Also delete everything that said map Tunnel or card miniport WUN.  Also uninstall or disable, Internet Protocol version 6 (TCP/IPv6) Properties tab on existing network cards.

    Once you have done these things, restart the computer and make sure that the 6to4 adapters does not return.

  • Connection to Ports transferred to a LRT224 of the internet

    Having just Port Forwarding working on my LRT224 (thanks Chad!), I have the following questions:

    All transferred ports will be visible on the WAN IPs?

    example: forwarded Port 550, IPs WAN; IP1.com and Ip2.com - connections are possible on EACH Ip2.com:550 or Ip1.com:550

    If the answer to the first question is 'yes', then can the LRT224, the active support of concurrent connections, i.e. the TWO Ip1.com:550 AND Ip2.com:550?

    I currently have the WAN configuration in failover mode, however, I would like to know if the WAN2 (Ip2.com:550) connection would be available when the router did not breach the wire, i.e. normal running.

    If the answer to the question above is "the connection would fail", then I must activate an appropriate set of links to WAN2 Protocol not simply disable the existing ones would be sufficient if necessary.

    My office a color of 3525 printer just inherit from another Department that was reduced.

    The printer worked fine in the other Department, but we cannot get to install in its new location.

    We have implemented by ethernet cable and went through trying to install it, but it did not work.  We tried one or several different ports, 4 times, and each time, the printer showed the same hostname and IP address.  The 6th test, we finally could show a different IP (even if host name), but we still cannot work.

    Can someone help me?

    I downloaded one of the manuals and eventually disable network protocols.  That solved the problem.

    I tried following steps;

    1 reset the IP configuration via the cmd line.

    2. on the power management tab, unchecked the box that turns off the adapter when power save comes into play.

    3. open Device Manager (Control Panel > system > Device Manager) naviguer navigate to network adapters, select the adapter used. Right-click > properties. Click the power management tab, and uncheck the box «Allow the computer shuts...» ». Click the Advanced tab, and then select the 'System Idle Power Saver' property. Set the value on the right to "disabled".

    Follow the steps below and check if they solve the problem:

    Method 1:

    Disable the IP helpdesk:

    1 hold the Windows key and type R, type "services.msc" (without the quotes) and press enter
    2. scroll down to the IP assistance service, right-click on it and select Properties
    3. in the drop-down list box that says "Automatic" or "Manual", set it to disabled and then click 'apply '.
    4. then click on "Stop" to stop the service from running in the current session
    5. click on OK to exit the dialog box

    Method 2:

    You can also disable Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) components and check if this solves the problem.

  • Connection to the single local: NONE of your solutions have worked, and I'm not paying $ 50 for you to continue to doesn't solve is not my problem...

    I tried all of your "solutions" including regedit, I tried to disable internet protocol version 6 or w/e and none of this even came close to work. I NEED internet to do school work, on a laptop, but your software is blocking me completely to do this... I don't have $ 50 to spend on sit on the line with someone who will not solve my problem, and I don't have the money to spend on an another crap software update...

    Could you tell me something more about your problem? I understand that you can not connect to the Internet. Can you give me more information about all the steps you tried? And the exact error you are getting?

    Try these:

    Step 1: R of the United Nations, the Network Diagnostics tool.

    To make this problem troubleshooting, please follow the steps below.

    (a), click on Start > Control Panel.

    (b) click network and Internet, click network and sharing Center.

    (c) under network and sharing Center, click on solve the problem.

    Disable the firewall\security software that is installed on the computer and check for the issue.
    Note: Enable security software \firewall once the test is done.
     
    Step 2: Also reset TCP\IP.

  • Telepresence server, control assets drops Conference after 30 seconds

    I have the following Setup:

    10.5 (1) version CUCM

    Conductor of telepresence Version XC2.3

    Telepresence Virtual Server Version: 4.0 (2.8)

    EX60 TC 7.1.4

    Cisco 9971, Firmware 1.0000 SR1

    Some other phones (7962, 6941)

    All the end points are saved to CUCM.

    When I do a conference appointment without active active control, everything works fine.

    When I activate the active control (according to ActiveControlDeploymentGuideR3.pdf) the Conference ends after 30 seconds.

    the Conference ends even if I have only one participant at the Conference and any of the phones that I use.

    In CUCM, I configured the relevant parameter in the SIP profile (according to ActiveControlDeploymentGuideR3.pdf)

    on the EX60 I use Active Control, so I see the list of participants and I am able to change the layout of the Conference within these 30 seconds.

    any ideas why this happens?

    Journal of the conductor, it seems that CUCM closes the connection to RE-INVITE during the transition between the lobby.

    There are several possible reasons, but the best way to determine "why" would be to open a track on CUCM.  More precisely a SDI/SDL (are later versions of CUCM SDL only) track on the CUCM 10.0.2.52 node.  Search for RE-INVITE him entering the IP phone and examine the lines of nearby log for some reason why.

    Alternatively, you can try a few other things:

    #1: Look in Service CUCM settings in the editor, then Cisco Call MAnager to the advanced parameter 'Maximum incoming message size' (there is an Advanced button, you must click above to expose this setting).  If you upgraded your CUCM from an earlier version, this value may need door to 11000 to manage RE-INVITE him to the conductor.

    #2: try disabling the Protocol iX on the SIP, conductor profile and the alias of the meeting of the conductor.

  • Access denied to the IDS MC after update 4.1.2 - s58

    Friday 7, I did the upgrade of four of our device IDS sensors. No problem. Later, I did the upgrade on the MC of the IDS and the next logon, I did ' t access more IDS MC and security monitor:

    We are talking to our supplier and an action has already been committed, but after a week, we do not have a solution yet.

    It's really urgent, because we have more access to our events.

    MC ID is always generating reports and send emails to us. It's a pure access problem, I think.

    Is rather peculiar, that we cannot change also the AAA server in the administration of virtual machines (IDS MC). He always wants to check with a GANYMEDE server + even though we have configured local authentication CS in CS security settings.

  • 3750 X stack and question wccp ACNS Content Engine (CE)

    I work with 3 3750Xs in a 'carrot' and we have a directly connected content engine (CE) on a WAE-612 CNSE ce612 - filtering 5.5.23.2 running web services. We use the wccp with forwarding L2 and L2 return with assignment of MASK.

    The this is located in the vlan 1013 and is directly connected to the 3750Xs of base via po5.  Users are in vlan 72 a stack of 3750Xs in a closet of access that is connected to the base through PO4.  64 VLANS plugs on the perimeter (to the Internet) firewall.

    When only one member of PO4 is physically connected web filtering works, however the web filtering does not work when several members are connected in PO4 and end-users are not filtered.  It seems the 3750Xs kernel redirect not the traffic to THIS more at this time.

    Anyone have any ideas why adding members to the port channel seems to break the wccp functionality.  Would it be due to the "Battery cross" of the channel port?

    My Color Laserjet 5550dtn suddenly lost the capacity of its network - as evidenced by the disappearance of the network address in the printer display panel.   I replaced the jetdirect 615n card, and I could then access the installation of I/O again and set the address of the printer that it had before (192.168.1.106)

    The printer seems to work OK, but when I try to access the printer via my browser, using its address, screens appear, but after a very long delay - sometimes up to two or three minutes.   Similar delays occur every time I have change the Access tab.

    I put the mask 255.255.255.0, and the DNS server on 192.168.1.1 (the address of the router system) and have disabled other protocols except TCP/IP.

    I don't remember the exact settings I had before, so is there anything else I may have missed that causes this extremely slow response?

    I saved some of the components of the old machine, so the expense was not so bad really.

    The original machine was always a little suspicious, but it was also used, maybe, I had a bad Control Board.
