Disappointment of HDMI

I recently bought a Pavillion23, the machine is very good but it has no HDMI port, unfortunately I haven't checked with the sales

man, but of course I have assumed that HDMI is widely used and this machine will probably be.

without option in windows8 for a second screen, all in one machine has no VGA either.

According to the specifications of your desktop all-in-one HP Pavilion 23-b022a, this model has no video output any (VGA, DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort, etc.). You will need to buy a USB-to-video adapter as the eVGA UV more + UV39 (or one of the other many cards on the market) to connect an external display to your computer. I own a UV39 and it works perfectly, so that many of the other cards on the market it is not working properly.

  • A Wi - Fi connection works very slowly all connected HDMI

    Hi ;)

Can someone help me? I bought this tablet a week ago and I have strange problem :/
Everything goes well until the moment where when I connect toshiba to TV or monitor. Wireless Internet works very slooow, google search results charges about 1 minute... When I detach the HDMI, everything is ok... The page loads very quickly...

    What is the reason?

Sorry, I don't think anyone can help you. The problem is real and reproducible. It is old fashioned RF interference. Follow these steps to convince you.
    * not simply play with download speeds. Look at the numbers for the WiFi connection. Open the page on your router or find the "status" under network adapters. They show the Mbit per second of your computer to the router.
    * Leave the cable in place and just use the display mode in Exchange for the Tablet for external screen, or both screens.

You can see that the problem is very real and very measurable.
If you look at the way the device is built, the antennas are at the top, near the HDMI.

I wonder if there are better shielded hdmi cables. Unfortunately, it is impossible to know. All the cables I've seen say that they are of excellent quality.
If I had nothing better to do, I think that on the foil around the plug of the cable/close to the device.
If you have time, try an experiment: I moved my WLAN of Channel 13 to 1. It helped, but I didn't control experience. I played with too many variables at once.

    It's an absolute disappointment.

  • dv4-1028us laptop HDMI audio popping and cracking

Well, I got my laptop back today.  The paper inside the box says "reworked HDMI.  Don't know what that means.  I connected it to my HDTV and it works beautifully.  Could not be happier.

Most of the time it seems that they manipulated the phone with care. No scratches anywhere except for some not minors those back where it meets the hinge.  They are very small and barely visible, so I'm not too worried about it.

Overall, it took about 6 days of the day that I sent it until I got it back.  I'm pretty convinced now that the only solution is to have it repaired.  I'm a little disappointed that I had to send in, but I'm glad that everything works in the end.

If anyone has any questions, let me know.

  • Stuttering NB550D HDMI

Hi, just bought a NB550D a few weeks back and generally very happy with it (although I think it runs a little slow). Have upgraded the memory of max (for the upgrade from Windows 7 Starter to Home Premium or higher version).

The big a disappointment trying to watch BBCiPlayer in high def (which should be able to do so HDMI port and refer to the HD on the Toshiba web site). He can't just play either on its own screen or TV Loewe connected. My Internet speed is fast and fast enough to disseminate the contents of hi def (or watch downloaded content) is not that memory to the maximum in order to not be! This is so either Windows 7 Starter, which prevents it (?) (and he would run more smooth with Windows HomePrem?) or something in how the netbook came put up, or although it is sold as a "multimedia netbook" with all connections, etc etc the AMD CPU and it's 1 GHz speed is simply not up to the job? Any ideas anyone?

    Thank you

    Hi Schotten66,

HD video content needs a lot of performance, and if you use the balanced mode (power Windows profile) or the mobile eco is probably not fast enough. If you watch videos I advise to use the power profile high-performance Windows. If you can ensure that all the power settings are configured for maximum performance.

  • Bad output HDMI with Qosmio G30-153

The display of the output to the HDMI port on two sets of HDTV in the mine is not as good as DVI or ATI 1800XL 7800GTX. The output of the screen seems to be scanned, where of course the taskbar and another part of the screen does not appear and the color screen is also poor.
The resolution is correct, 1920 x 1080 and I use the latest Toshiba 8.3.2.8 display driver.
I am disappointed by this expansive toy, hoping to play HD-DVD material, but with these display poor, no luck.
I think that the driver is the question, but what can we do with Toshiba?
Does anyone with G30-153 has the same problem?

    Kind regards

  • No output from HD on HDMI out port on Qosmio G40

I read the DVD HD guide of my Qosmio G40 "only the computer display panel supports display with treatment high definition. When playback on a TV connected to the computer, the screen on television will be only ordinay screen and not display with high definition treatment. ».

I don't know if I understand the manual right. He says that I can't view HD DVD HD videos on a TV even if it is connected with HDMI output port? If this is really the case, where HD to HDMI?

I am very disappointed in this respect. Or I don't interpred bad manual?

    Hello

I think you have misunderstood something.
If you will connect Full-HD TV via a HDMI cable to the laptop, you should be able to watch HD-DVD in HD movies.

But due to technical limitations, HD-DVD can only be looked at on a device at the same time. To read HD - DVD on both devices at the same time is not supported.

Because of the important data stream when a HD-DVD is read, the machine can manage only a HD signal. If two devices have been accessed at the same time, the machine must manage two signals HD, which is not supported due to the technical limitations of the machine itself.

Therefore, it is possible view a HD-DVD on a single device at the same time. This restriction is valid only for the HD-DVD playback. The normal clone mode is not affected.

So you can choose between the laptop or TV, but not the two screens together

  • Update for only if HDMI 2.0 you...

I find it very disappointing, that Sony will modernize your 4 K TV with the HDMI 2.0 ONLY needed if you buy their new Sony PCM - X 1 4 K Ultra HD Media Player. I just pay thousands of $$$ $ for my 65X900A XBR and bought a Sony BDPS790 3D Blu - ray player, only to be told by the Support Sony I have my 4 K TV, updated ONLY if I buy the new FMP - X 1.

I'm very dissipointed with this answer and relations with customers of Sony on this subject.

Right now, I'm just the single HDMI from the BR to 4K. I know that 2.0 is not yet over but read some reviews on Amazon. Sony sends Tech to convert the HDMI inputs on the TV for repairs 2.0 if and only if you buy the new Sony 4K player. I didn't Kow your subject but I would like the same conversion installed on my 4K TV for use later when available. Regardless of having to buy another Sony product.

  • W540 170W Ultra HDMI Dock and windows 8.1

The W540 has video integrated in addition to the video card NVidia. We use AutoCAD and Revit, and will never care for the integrated video card driver. We do not seem to get 170 watts Ultra Docking Stations (in the plural) to work with our portable W540 (in the plural) in the selection of the NVIDIA card and using an external monitor. We have updated all the drivers Lenovo asked us for including the firmware on the docking station. We followed the instructions to make the change in the BIOS so that the NVIDIA card is used. We called Lenovo support twice twice. On one occasion, they said we are not the only people to call the problem, and that our only course of action is to get an another docking station or return to the dock to our supplier. Has anyone else had luck using Windows 8.1, W540 on a ultra docking station and HDMI? Even if I mention HDMI, (because I think that it is the prime suspect), DVI looks too blue screen of the laptop.

I keep hoping that this gets fixed and keep getting disappointed. I have a problem with Win 7 as well. Standard mode works, provided that you do not connect anything to the HDMI port. Advanced mode does not work.

P.S. still learn. This message was not designed as a solution.

  • UP2414Q, stuck at 30 Hz, HDMI double 1920 x 2160 tiles unspecified

Any version/revision of this monitor has an OHS meter that does not rely on daisy chaining for the operation of 4k60Hz DP? I was lucky to suffer A00 of Nov13 for over a year and is about to put it where it belongs - in the tip. The geniuses at Dell support offer to replace it with the same model where I told them don't not worry because even if he solved the curriculum vitae of sleep problems. Questions of support and compatibility 3D app is quite different from Pandora's box. My disappointment with the guarantee 5 years in option is that they refuse to replace the monitor with something else in the range and I am faced with a return/refund now. My other question from a marketing point of view is that he has been never announced to be detected as two 1920 x 2160 for 60 Hz operation screens and the resultant capacity of use which offered this limited mode. I am almost tempted to insert the history of my case here I have on email, but will not go there immediately.

The Land Down Under, the battle and crab @ 30 Hz continues

Each single 4 k/UHD monitor that I know at this moment there doing UHD 60 Hz by DP STD at this time. As far as I know, there were no UHD / 4 k 60 Hz scalers so everything had to be driven by the MST.

As far as I know, all revisions of UP2414Q are basically the same monitor and not with any new 1.3 HDMI 2.0 RFP Measurer or or anything so I'm sure it's STD for 60 Hz only.

From what I've seen on my Windows 7 + box GeoForce STD UHD 60 Hz seems to work pretty well. I also have the UP2414Q A00. And here I get the weird screen split thing or something else (60 Hz UHD is VERY sensitive to the display port cable, Accell cables better seem to work and if you must use an adapter or extension, you must be very careful because far most combinations will fail or be erratic at best), but 95% of the time just say things to try a different connector and then say things back to the good a set and it takes just a few seconds.

I ran all my games fine on it.
And it was beyond awesome to see/change photos or anything web or text.

Actually, the uP2414Q uses a method of current continuous of high-end to brighten and darken the backlight LED Go - r and does not use PWM at low prices, as do most of the monitors backlit LED.

Windows Vista seems a little longer at times and is a little more likely to throw himself into a weird state of monitor.

  • E-port Plus - made audio coming out of DisplayPort converter / HDMI / dongle?

    Hi all

Currently I am considering buying an E6230 Latitude with an E-Port Plus Replicator (or E-Port USB 3.0 version). However, I intend on connecting the E-Port Plus to TV via HDMI cable (TV doesn't come with DisplayPort, so I have no choice), and I know that this requires an additional DisplayPort / HDMI converter (or dongle, according to the E-Port Plus specification).

If the hardware installation would be something like this:

    Latitude E-6230 - E-Port Plus (DisplayPort)--> DisplayPort converter / HDMI / dongle---> cable HDMI---> TV (HDMI port)

My question is, the audio signal will pass through DisplayPort | DPtoHDMI converter | HDMI to the TV? Or the only way to output audio signal TV's throughout the E-Port Plus audio jack? I would be disappointed if this is the case later.

  • Impossibility? HDMI, audio Multichannel + Applications PC Gaming/music

I admit I know little about the new audio application by Microsoft since Windows Vista. But everywhere wherever I looked, there is no information on the entire WEB, the knowledge base, FAQ, Microsoft, AMD sites, on the issue of the sound support for generic applications with HDMI or SPDIF even surround. Generic applications I mean applications that can multi-channel audio support, for example PC games, or software such as Adobe Audition.

In Windows, it cannot specify the number of channels of audio SPDIF/HDMI interfaces listed in the audio Panel, it is possible only for analog connections. But at that time you would have thought that the PC should catch up with the new emerging formats. At the point where the sound card takes the form of HDMI interface, say goodbye to the multichannel for applications other than playback of DVD/Bluray. Windows seems to only be able to pass through but not run the Dolby/DTS stream encoding. This translates into stereo at best for generic applications. I don't know if this is due to the lack of hardware or software.

Long story short, I had to do my HTPC dream which also manages the game on PC, when I read that the AMD Radeon HD6xxx series supports streaming of Dolby TruHD ILO / loseless DTS - HD MY surround sound, I jumped ship.

I bought an Onkyo TX-SR308 entry with HDMI inputs but none entered analog multichannel. I was hoping that I could connect my PC with it via HDMI and I have a sound surround without the need of special sound cards through my GPU HD6950. I am disappointed.

Today, it seems games use OpenAL to manage the sound with the new implementation of audio subsystem of Windows. Radeon does not seem to encode the audio DTS/Dolby games, nor there is any card market, not even Asus HDAV of Xsonar. Yes little reading BluRay streaming is supported, but I already have a dedicated Blu - Ray player. All I wanted is surround sound from PC, games or say playing audio files flac multichannel, I can hang my speakers hometheater with the Onkyo amp.

It's very frustrating. Anyone can offer a glimpse of how I can proceed with a minimum load on my portfolio? You can buy similar HDMI, but I find absolutely not all multichannel analog to HDMI solutions. None of the sound card for PC I think Kiss HDMI entirely on two passes for PCM multi-channel and at the same time compatible with the implementation of Windows to make Windows to know that this is indeed a multichannel sound card; or encode an analog string lossy Dolby/DTS 5.1, or even loseless Dolby TruHD/DTS-HD. For me, this is stupid, because it is much cheaper to make a sound card without DACs and just an FPGA to do direct PCI or PCI-E encoding while fooling Windows to believe that it is an analog audio card. I don't know who is responsible for this mess audio PC.

    Thank you very much

In fact, I got sorted. My card ATI Radeon 6950 can indeed handle multi-channel LPCM and act as a sound card, as long as the speaker in the Panel is set to 5.1, recent games have no problem with multichannel audio now (old games that use EAX can be a problem).

On my Onkyo amp, when multichannel is enabled on HDMI it will read Multi Ch. This changes as I have change as well the speaker setting.

  • I really wish that I don't have to Deauthorize all of my devices - I am disappointed that Apple does not allow me to see the computers I've allowed and allow me to Deauthorize them individually

I bought a new computer and you want to authorize iTunes.  Only to discover that you can authorize only 5 computers simultaneously (which is disappointing to say the least in the first place - why the limit.  Also, now I learn to disable allow a computer I have, I have to disable allow all my devices... my iPad, my iPhone, my MacMini, etc..  one of my devices is actually used by my parents in their cabin, and if I disable this one... it's 4 hours away just to reauthorize again... not very efficient if you ask me.  Is there a way to allow MORE THAN 5 arbitrary and if not, then is it possible to allow out of an individual computer to the account - and if not, how many days will take apple to find a way to do?

I have to allow my iPad, my iPhone out of all my devices...

No, you don't, iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) devices are not allowed for an account and therefore cannot be deauthorised - only iTunes from the computer are allowed/deauthorised.

Individual computers can only be deauthorised directly on them.

  • Presenter PowerPoint on Mac mini mode displayed on the screen and the projector when using HDMI splitter

We have a Mac mini connected to a screen and a projector via HDMI using a HDMI splitter.

It works fine for most applications, but during presentations PowerPoint, presenter is displayed on the monitor and the projector.

When I disconnected the mini Mac's HDMI cable and put it in a MacBook, the presenter appeared on the MacBook screen (as it should) and only the slide appears on the screen and on the projection screen.

Of course if we have to use the MacBook for presentations instead of the Mac mini, you would need to have seen the presenter on both the screen and on the screen of the MacBook.

In the Mac mini display preferences there is no button to "Gather Windows" when the Mac mini is attached to the screen and the projector via HDMI splitter is a tab "setting."

But these two things appear on the MacBook when it is connected.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Mike

I'm confused. When you use a video separator the same screen will appear on the two monitors connected to the separator. This is how works a separator
