Disconnect all hard secondary causes 7 windows, win office 2010 to bad work and updates
I have this Setup:
-Windows 7 ultimate installed as 64-bit, Office 2010, Adobe CS programs, Avast Antivirus
Thanks in advance,
You must disconnect the old drive, one that contains the origonal win installation, then repair the installation of win on the ssd. (Personally I would disconnect time / all your additional H/disks, its only necessary to remove power connectors, while you repair.)
Make sure that windows update is running for important updates and that they correctly install and check the basic operation, if ok, then.
Then just connect your new ssd and then check the basic operation of PC.
Assuming it is OK, then connect the last disk and retest basic operation

I have a HP computer with Windows Vista Home Premium (32-bit) Service Pack 2. He has a VISX PureTV tuner card and already had an NVidia GeForce 8400 graphics card. This Setup has worked well for 2.5 years until what the graphics card died last week. It has been replaced with an ATI Radeon HD3450 and both all Windows updates have made current. Since that time, the TV tuner did not work.
When you sign in to an account, it gives the error message "Windows Media Center Receiver Service stopped working and was closed". I can use Media Center to watch the recorded video before, but if I try to watch live TV he hangs up and close Media Center. If I try to configure the TV connection in Media Center it tells me that there is no tuner card.
I looked at the map and see no problem and I tried it back in place. He has the most up to date drivers (so does the new Radeon graphics btw). I tried "Uninstall" in the Manager of devices and then put it back, but it was not good.
"Windows Media Center Receiver Service Stopped Working and was closed" I tried all the fixes I've seen this error.
I tried all the things I saw here and elsewhere related to this issue. I did a "clean boot" with all non-Windows services and the disabled startup process. He always did the same thing and gave the same mistakes. It seems to be linked to a Windows service, and I hesitate to begin deactivation to track down.
I ran 'sfc' in mode 'cmd' and he found no problem and none of the files to be fixed or could not fix.
In the list of services, I changed the login for "Windows Media Center Receiver Service" to "Local System account", Local Service, Network Service and individual accounts, but no permits.
I'm afraid I'm at the point of having to reload the Vista, but I don't know how to do this and want to avoid at all costs. I don't have the recovery disks and software. Is this enough? Can I reinstall from the recovery disks without wiping everything aft of the configuratiion with which it was delivered? I guess personal files will be OK (although I don't know this for sure), but I'm afraid I'll have to reinstall other applications, my family has developed over time and perhaps lose the media protected by DRM licenses.
Someone has encountered anything like this or have any suggestions?
Well, I finally stumbled into the solution. It was caused by a conflict with another application.
A few weeks before the card failure I had installed a program called video capture Replay Video Capture that I had bought a few months ago and never used. However, at this time where everything including the TV tuner and Media Center worked well that's why I associate the problem with this software. The problem comes after the system is rebooted the first time after installation. In my case, it has not been rebooted until a few weeks later as part of the recovery of the fault of the graphics card. Suddenly, the TV tuner did not work and I get the error messages mentioned in this title of the thread.
I was at the end of my rope with this and was just to clean your system to do a reformat and reinstallation. I uninstalled the Replay Videa Capture program to move it to another computer, and when you restart the computer I noticed that the error message disappeared. Of course I went to the Media Center and could set up my TV tuner card and watch television.
Looking for some info on this conflict, I found the following. (http://forum.applian.com//showthread.php?847-Conflicts-between-RVC-and-XP-Media-Center-OS&s=c0aec9897b51d550c47b919e73e59bfc) It is difficult to say who is at fault in the present. I'm sure that Microsoft accuses Applian for the encoder to mpeg (mcm2ve.ax) used in Replay Video Capture, while Applian says that the problem is a Windows process (ehrec.exe) that works all the time, hogging the tuner on the system device. According to Applian other products similar to theirs have this conflict as well due to the process of Windows.
Fortunately, there is a solution in this case. Applian has released a new version of Replay Video Capture (version 4.2) that uses a different mpeg encoder and eliminates the problem. Given the surprising lack of info about it on the Microsoft Web site, I wonder how many other people with this unresolved issue dealing with the same thing as me. If you're like me and you don't usually need to reboot your PC for a few weeks at a time, you may never know to associate the problem with the application. What a waste countless hours trying to diagnose, and most disconcerting, that's what I was about to go through a reformat and reinstall because of this.
Thought I'd post here my problem resolution in the hope that it might help someone else.

Here is the scenario...
I have Notepad. EXE is open.
I click the icon of MS Word 2010 to open it & the projection of "loading" screen opens.
Until the word is fully loaded and initialized, I don't and then close Notepad.
In fact, it seems that my computer gets little froze up.I thought that one of the features and benefits of a modern operating system were "multitasking".
I vaguely remember being able to do this under Windows 98SE, 2000, XP, and Office 2003 completely new to Office 95 (don't remember with Win 3.1 and Office 2.0).
However, this has been the normal behavior on this system (Windows 7, Office 2010, SONY VAIO i3 w/2 GB of RAM, Kaspersky Internet Security 2012) since the first day. What gives?
Computers don't multitasking no more?
Is it the fault of Office 2010, Windows 7, Kaspersky Internet Security?Have you tried to disable Kaspersky? Kaspersky is well known for hanging systems, as well as Norton and McAfee. Part of it has to do with the 'package' of tools
that sucks resources when running in the background.Microsoft Security Essentials has become very popular. I always use Avast, which is the user-friendly resource.
Another thing that often slows down machines when the TEMP folder is too full.
Run Disk Cleanup Windows occasionally, or for a big cleanup using CCleaner.
Do not use if the registry CCleaner cleaner (or any other registry "cleaners"). Registry cleaners are not really necessary on modern systems.
Alternatively, you can manually delete the files in the TEMP folder. Go to your folder of user name > AppData > Local > TEMP and delete the batch. It will not remove files that are still in use..

Windows 7 Office 2010 & office toolbar?
Windows 7 Office 2010 & office toolbar?
At home, I'm going to WindowsXP OfficeXP to Windows 7 Office 2010 (jump 2007)... I love my 'to-do bar' @ the bottom... but would also have a "Desktop" toolbar on the right side. Many people will wonder why I want or need this... & I am probably not... It's just that I like it that way & since almost 20 years I was able to configure my screen this way... And since I'm a creature of habit... I would do the same thing with Office 2010.
Can I do this? (And if all goes well, I described my system (old, new) correctly. Quite frankly, I'm never sure here?) ... Thank you... K
Microsoft Office XP was the last version offer a toolbar for the desktop.

I get an error at the start of the ambient light. Windows indicates the RL has stopped working and the banner "catalogue Lightroom-opening: OYL6BMP.» LRCAT displayed? I reinstalled LR but no change. Anyone can shed light on this issue?
Gary
The only effective solution is to reset the file preferences... it has been damaged by trying to create a catalog with the invalid jpeg.
The instructions to reset the catalog are here: given to zero (or "Screw up") the preferences of Lightroom - Lightroom Forums file
When you have done this, place you and double click on the correct catalog and LR should then start OK.

Step 1: Run the fixit available in the link below and check if that makes a difference
Hardware devices do not work or are not detected in Windows

Step 2: The computer in the boot and a test
Follow step 1 in the link below,

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.
Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service.
After find you the program that is causing the problem, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program, if you rarely use that you should consider uninstalling the software.
Important: n ' forget not the computer to start normal follow step 7 in the link.
If the problem persists, you can consult the documentation of the material for more information on diagnosing the problem.

Satellite L655-1HC: win 8.1 Fan still work and / is not closed
Hello everyone,
I have laptop L655-1HC owner, part no: PSK1JE-0GT00XAR, where am facing 2 problems I couldn't solve until now.
First of all, the fan continues to work always and stops any bothers me really.Second, when closing, windows turns off but the machine continues to work with the fan and never stops unless I stopped it with the key switch seconds, even when I close the lid, windows turns off but the machine continues to work with the fan, at the opening of the lid it is freezing just until I stopped it manually through the switch.
Before two or three days windows crashed down and I formatted the laptop and upgraded to windows pro 8.1 and since updated, I was faced with these issues.
Hello
I think that the problem is related to the system Windows 8.1
Probably it of not known you 8 Win and Win 8.1 does not power the unit off by default. The laptop will be defined in hybrid close mode that allows you to boot up the laptop faster.I guess this could be the reason for your problem and recommend that you deactivate this mode.
Please check this document Toshiba how to do this:

Installation KB979744 causes Setup of Exchange Server 2010 to stop working
I'm installing Exchange 2010 on a new instance of Windows Server 2008 x 64. Exchange Setup requires install several patches. After you install the 979744 hotfix, the Exchange Setup program fails with a fatal error. Remove the patch allows the installer to run, but Exchange says that this hotfix must be installed in order to continue.
SOLUTION!
I don't really know the root of the problem, unfortunately, but I don't know how to fix it.
2 options:
Option (not recommended) 1: uninstall all the installed except windows 2008 server sp2 service packs and install only what is to be the installation of exchange. Be sure to turn off the automatic updates temporarily. What either updated clashed against kb979744 won't be there either, and everything will work
Option 2: Reinstall windows 2008 server sp2: and then turn off the automatic updates, install only what is to be the installation of exchange. The installation should work without any problem
CAUSE: we installed all service packs from Microsoft including .net 2.0 sp2 and then we tried to install exchange 2010 sp1 and it flies well. Because now I guess it is recommended to install exchange first of all with its required updates, then later, I'll consult with microsoft if it's ok to install windows from the site updates. If microsoft confirms if all goes well, then we can proceed.
