Add software to Single Board Rio NI Max

Hello

I am trying to install the software required for Sb rio using 9606 or MAX.
However, this message is to be invited:

I would appreciate if you guys can be of any help.

Thank you

Kind regards
Keshav

The error you get generally occurs only if you have something installed on your target that is not available from your host.  If you feel that you have everything you need already on your host the safest to do thing is probably to format the target of MAX and then proceed to install what you need.

I want to apply the library modbus (http://sine.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/4756) on the single-board rio sbRIO-9636 for serial RS232 communication. And what is the procedure in detail for this application?

    I copy the files "NI Modbus.llb" and "nimodbus.mnu" under the D:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\LabVIEW 2012\user.lib.

But when I add the module "Init.vi MB" in vi for FPGA, it shows that it is not executable.

If I'm wrong, but I don't think that the Modbus Library is supported on the sbRIO.

I bought a Single-Board RIO 9636. It is not a trial edition, and I don't know how to program the single board rio. Where can I find the user for sbrio guide? This is my first time to use sbrio.

    Hey Percy,

The user manual and specifications for the sbRIO-9636 are linked from the tab "resources" in the template page sbRIO-9636 on ni.com.

About the getting started with your new system, I recommend that you follow the guidelines here: http://www.ni.com/gettingstarted/

  • Discover a rio - c max

I have a c being performance-Rio 9014 (running the code downloaded by a value OR added reseller), however my version of MAX is unable to discover the Rio - c on the local network.  Even when I try to add the address of C - rio and C - rio is connected directly to my divelopment system.

Are there drivers of rio that I add to MAX or my basic development system (8,6)?

I don't need to compile / deploy only to connect to the c - Rio to watch the connected nodes.

Do not the driver OR RIO to be able to see your target in MAX or LabVIEW. The first version that supports LabVIEW 8.6 is NOR-RIO 3.0.1 you can find at http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/1162/lang/en.

  • A single device showing on MAX for PCI-6259

    Hello

I'm having a problem seeing all the channels available in a card PCI-6259. In MAX, the card is correctly classified NI PCI-6259, however in the tree view of the devices only one device is indicated 'Dev1' - where is "Dev0?

Two devices used to be, but we gave up and I don't know why.

I tried to reconnect the cables from the Commission on the two connector blocks has BNC-2090, or tried to reinstall the card of the Manager of Windows devices & MAX, but only 'Dev1' appears after you have reinstalled.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Simone

Peripheral will appear as a single device in "Devices and Interfaces" little matter how many connectors they have. (it's a device to the driver OR as it appears as a Windows device) The second connector simply implies that, when you run a program or a test Panel, you can now select more channels in the drop down menu to have and ao. You should be able to address all the channels of the AO in the same test Panel.

Hi, I have my SBRIO appears in MAX, but I can't create a project in LabVIEW 2009 which has the SBRIO as target. I would like a program for the SBRIO FPGA VI.

Sorry for any inconvience caused by the huge images.

  • Add software to 3.0

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of auto tune downloads/software to work with Adobe Audition 3.0. I'm new here and don't really know how to find my way around forums so if this question has already been asked, I apologize. Thank you!

First of all, hearing 3 already has some changing field of the built-in effects. The effect of type Autotune there Pitch Correction.

If it is not good to get Autotune VST effects. But beware AA 3 is now quite old and new VST effects can be VST3 and they will not work with this version of the hearing. A very popular one that can operate in the hearing is Pnsg.

  • Research of interface software for FlexRIOs using API c do I need LabVIEW once I use the C API generator?

    Current versions of software:

    LabVIEW 2014 SP1

    LabVIEW FPGA 2014

    Xilinx Vivado

    Hi all

I plan to interface my FlexRIOs to the software programmed in C, then the C API FlexRIO is excellent.

My question is more economy of memory sake.

I have a PC with Visual Studio, I want to add the minimum amount of software development.

If I have a station (a separate Visual Studio PC PC) FPGA development with all LabVIEW software necessary to take the step of the use of the generator of the C API to create the necessary files of C and H, should what software I on the development PC Visual Studio in interface with the files in the generated C API?

If all goes well, it's just (from the help)

What you need to get started

    • Drivers for devices OR RIO August 2013 or later

However... The help of the C API, it gives me the full list of the software including LabVIEW and LabVIEW FPGA... (below)

What you need to get started

In addition to a RIO device like a CompactRIO reconfigurable chassis, a Single-Board RIO device or RIO PCI or PXI hardware, you need the following software to use FPGA Interface C API.

    • LabVIEW 2009 SP1 or later (32-bit only)
    • LabVIEW FPGA Module 2009 SP1 or later (32-bit only)
    • Drivers for devices OR RIO August 2013 or later
    • Operating system supported development
      • Windows 8 or 8.1 (32-bit or 64-bit)
      • Windows 7 Professional (32-bit or 64-bit)
      • Windows Vista Business (32-bit or 64-bit version)
      • Windows XP Professional SP2
      • Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit version)
      • Windows Server 2003 (64-bit version)
    • Target supported OS
    • Supported C/C++ compiler

So I have LabVIEW and LabVIEW FPGA on the development PC?

    (If all goes well no....)

    Thank you

    Hey Colonel1013,

With the C API, you only need LabVIEW to build a bitfile and run the generator of C API tool, but LabVIEW is not required to run. That is, you need all the software listed, but it must not all be on the same machine. You can transfer the file lvbitx and the .c and .h files generated on another machine where you need only NOR-RIO and Visual Studio installed.

  • Edimax in LabVIEW IP camera

    Hello

I'm working on a better solution for my project. I use an Edimax IP camera (model IC - 3110p) I currently streaming using VLC X asset control and then call the node to add the target and play the stream. I was able to find the raw video stream, and I use that as the uri in the control. My project also includes the startup OR Robotics 1.0 kit which has a compact single board RIO on I looked into this as a solution as well, but I think that only the Basler cameras and Axis Network are supported on Compact RIO. The video is streaming OK but I had a lag in like 2 seconds, which can cause problems when I add it to the robot. I was just curious to know if anyone had any other suggestions for this problem. (buy a new camera is not is an option I've tried cheap school). Also, I tried to get audio through VLC as well. When I give the node invoke my raw video (currently http://URL+/mjpg/video.mjpg) disseminates IP camera but let that audio and the invoke node will not accept the URL directly.  I'm relatively new to the acquisition of vision in LabVIEW and this is my first post a problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you

    Gil

P.S. I do not attach the code I got so far!

    Hello Gil,.

Sorry, I completely missed that you posted your code immediately...

I had the chance to try to run your program, and I also saw that there was a disconnect. However, when I tried to start the stream in VLC in itself, I saw again the offset. This makes me think that the shift is from VLC and not communication between VLC and LabVIEW. When I tried typing in Measurement & Automation Explorer directly, there was no lag.

Most IP cameras are not supported by IMAQdx and therefore wouldn't appear in MAX. However, there is a 3rd party utility that can emulate an IMAQdx device based on network flow, of an IP camera, which is contained in this knowledge base article. I suggest that you try to view the stream to the MAX to see if you still see the shift. If there is no lag, then the issue is definitely with VLC or stream.

  • LabVIEW RT on the objectives of the third party

LabVIEW RT can be used with any target that runs VxWorks or Pharlap?

We have the software developed in LabVIEW RT for the controllers of RIO and the PSC as the functioning of the entire installation - with an integrated web and ftp - server, development, and debugging from a host etc.

He now takes the same software in a compact and robust unit underwater. Put a controller inside is not very practical, so we are looking for the best ways to do this without having to LV RT of moat in the process.

Single board RIOs could be an option, but they are still big enough, they do not seem to be built for much vibration (?), and they have a lot of unnecessary IO (we just need TCP/IP and serial, preferably more than one RS-485 port).  Are there products OR who would be more appropriate, and if not, is it possible to run LabVIEW RT on another material, if it is running the same OS, VxWorks or Pharlap?

The next choice would be a SBC running XP Embedded or Windows Mobile... It must be in lower case, energy efficient and robust if. Any suggestions?

    Hi Mads,

Although cRIO or sbRIO would be the best option, it is possible to run LabVIEW Real-time (based on Phar Lap ETS) on some generic PCs and single board computers. Compatibility is based on processor architecture (x 86) ethernet chipsets and some other parts. Special requirements are noted at: (http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/8239#toc2).

To quickly test a 3rd party PC or SBC for compatibility, you can use a create a bootable USB key and run a utility that is available in the NOT-MAX or downloaded from the following page: (http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/2733#toc2).

Please let me know if you have any other questions, and have a nice day!

  • Problem of device detection via the RS232 port on sbRIO-9631

    Hello

I can't detect a URG Hokuyo laser rangefinder - 04 LX connected to a sbRIO 9631 via the serial rs232 port. I can confirm that the rangefinder works through the computer and that it is detected by MAX and VISA when it is connected through the serial port on my computer. I have the following software downloaded on the map:

    LabVIEW time real 9.0

Language support for LabVIEW RT 1.0.0.3

    Engine network Variable 1.6.0

    NOR-RIO 3.2.1

    NI-VISA 4.5.1

    NI-VISA Server 4.5.1

Customer variable for LabVIEW RT 1.6.0 support

NEITHER Max, I see under "Devices and Interfaces" in the configuration tree is the RIO0.

    TIA

    Hi oswong,

If you install "OR Serial RT" on your sbRIO-9631, then it will allow support for the RS232 port integrated on your Single-Board RIO.

  • Problem with analog inputs on sbrio 9627

    Hey guys!

I have a problem in my Single Board RIO 9627.
    I use 4 differential analog inputs (AI0, AI1, AI2 and AI3).
What happens is that when I place a sensor or even a button on one of the entries and nothing on the other inputs, it affects all other inputs, increase in the level of each input voltage.
Can someone tell me how to solve this problem in the hardware or software?

    Thank you!

Multiplexed inputs must have a low impedance! If you have pictures of ghosts.

Attach entries open to GND (or do not read )

If you want to read switches or buttons use a pull upwards or downwards the resistance.

  • Restrict the LabVIEW deployment on NOR sbRIO

    Hi all

I searched a lot to find a solution, but could not find one.

I have to protect my controller sbRIO OR deploy any application of LV
For example, if anyone with LV connects to the network of the controller, it should be not able to deploy anything to sbRIO before filling the credentials of the controller.

Web configuration of the controller, I deleted all permissions to "everyone" group and set password for the user "admin".
After that, MAX OR requires a password before you save anything to the controller, but LV does not require anything before you proceed with the connection of the programmer and the deployment of a VI on it.

    Could you please help me?

    Thank you in advance.

What Single-Board RIO device do you use (Linux or VxWorks RTOS based?)

The following white paper explains how to protect a Single-Board RIO and CompactRIO against unauthorized access.

Overview of best practices for safety in RIO systems

    http://www.NI.com/white-paper/13069/en/

Looks like you need configure access to the server VI in part 1 to read the Security white paper.
