"Away from the taskbar" taskbar and Explorer has stopped working
There is a bug with the taskbar. Here's a video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGDVjj93oKA
I did a disk cleanup to delete all the thumbs and other things. I also reset some things to clear the messy icons (leave a tutorial to another question on this site). Once I clicked on a program that was not in the taskbar (because I removed it some time ago) and he said "Unpin the taskbar." Although it wasn't there, I clicked and it I got a message saying that the Explorer has stopped working. Is there something else with the register or the temporary data file that I need to reset? I'm not the average user. Can you help me please?

Windows Vista black after login screen and Explorer has stopped working error
Hello world
I have a very big problem. Whenever I connect to my computer that is running Windows Vista Ultimate Edition all I get is a black screen and a mouse pointer. I can use Ctrl + Alt + Del or Alt + Ctr + Shift lift the the Task Manager, and from there I can run firefox. Once in Firefox I can use the option open the file to find programs, do a right-click and then run them. But I want my back office. When I try to run Explorer from the Task Manager and then I get an error message saying it stopped and must be closed. I also keep getting an error message for something like 'Windows Search Protocol Host' or somesuch. A large part of time that this will just about a five-minute cycle in a style of window minimized down thing then the error message poopping upwards. I am also quite unable to open Control Panel or MSCONFIG. Whenever I try that they freeze and I get an error message saying that they have a problem and need to close. Also I did not change my software recently. In fact it worked fine yesterday when I was with Photoshop Elements 7.0. Another thing that can help anyone trying to find an answer that is in most of the forums help I saw people talking about going into regedit (something I CAN open it) and put the shell on explorer.exe. Mine is already set to explorer.exe. It is also something else that many videos help and forums have said I should close explorer.exe in Task Manager process tab, then run it again. I don't have an explorer.exe in the processes tab and when I try to run it I just get "WIndows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close."
Please help people, I'm going nuts without a desk job.
PS. I use the computer with the problem to type this.

Why you are posting in the forum, IE? Maybe the reason why you try to use the CP is to enter Internet Options? If so, you can do it without the help of Windows Explorer (at least on your operating system) starting (using the Task Manager if necessary): control.exe inetcpl.cpl
Otherwise what your problem probably means is that you have added something new to the root of the control panel which is not compatible with your OS, causing thus the Windows Explorer (not IE) crashing. In this case, the same way you could get in Add Remove programs without involving Windows Explorer by starting: control.exe appwiz.cpl
You can get help more informed by post on a forum that specializes in performance and Maintenance of your operating system.
Good luck

Errors NT Service stopped working and was closed"and Windows Explorer has stopped working"
Original title: NT service
"NT service stopped working and was closed" appears on desktop screen after signing in. In addition, "Windows Explorer has stopped working" appears when trying to access to the "view network status and tasks" or "set up file sharing" in the control panel. However, I am able to access Internet Explorer without problem. What is the problem?
Hello
1. you hear that you receive the error at startup after you have signed in to the user account?
2 have you made any changes to the computer before the show?
NT Service stopped working and was closed because:
Method 1: Try to start the Services.msc services and see if that helps, manually.
(a) click Start, type services.msc and press enter
(b) search for the following services
(c) Net.Tcp listner adapter
(d) the Net.Tcp port sharing
(e) make sure the status of services started and startup type is automatic.
(f) click on apply and Ok.
Method 2: SFC scanner.
Analysis (sfc) System File Checker will replace the missing or corrupted system files on your computer.

I have problems with the programs and features, windows update, and default programs. An error pops up - indicating windows Explorer has stopped working or windows Explorer restarts. Each window then closes. Can youhelp identify me what is happening?
* original title - when I click on programs and features, update windows, said default programs windows Explorer has stopped working? Or reboot, then this window stops? What is going on? *
Hi Mr. Minister,
Your question is still there while in Safe Mode? If so, you try to run a SFC scan for troubleshooting the corrupted system files on your PC.
To perform a scan of the SFC, follow the steps on the following link: How to use the tool File Checker system to troubleshoot missing or corrupted system files on Windows Vista or Windows 7
Your computer may also be infected and needs to be cleaned in order to work properly. I suggest that you try the steps listed in the related post below with your question:
You can also try a clean boot troubleshooting method to see if it helps you solve your problem.

Whenever I try to update, I get the message "windows Explorer has stopped working". It then seeks a solution, restarts, and immediately stops again. No error, just a constant circle of shutdown and startup code. This has happened for days. I am running windows 7.
I think that norton or mcafee may have been preinstalled as trial versions, but I've never actually used them. Unfortunately I can't use the windows Explorer, so I can't check if they are still there.
We will cover all the possibilities.
1. download each of the tools for deletion below, save it to your desktop:
Norton Removal Tool: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe
McAfee removal tool: http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe
2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).
3. After completing some you have a copy of your handy product key, uninstall all software (including LiveUpdate and Add-ons of Norton) Norton through Control Panel | Programs | Uninstall a program (or Control Panel |) Programs and features, if you are using the classic view)
IMPORTANT! => Activate the Windows Firewall immediately after the restart.
IMPORTANT! => Now you're "working without a net": no to ANYTHING else online (e.g., navigation, reading e-mail, chat) until you have completed the steps #4, #5 and #6 below!
4. right click on one of the files that you saved in #1 above and select run as administrator to run the utility. DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart.
5. Repeat step #4 for another removal tool.
Tips:
-Online use another computer to download the removal tool, if necessary, then transfer it to the computer via CD, DVD, or a USB brand new, never been used (flash drive), or a summer freshly updated in shape.
-Online start the problem in Mode safe computer, if necessary, proceed as above.
-Online after completing all of the above, uninstall AVG Free & reboot. Now do a new installation of AVG Free 9.0, this time select the CUSTOM installation option and do NOT install (uncheck) Linkscanner Search-Shield, Active Surf-Shield, security or the email of crawl components toolbar.

c. restart the computer so that the changes take effect and check the result.Step 2: If the problem persists, restore the computer to an earlier time
a. Click Start, type system restore in the search programs and files.
b. click on the system restore, click Run as administrator.

Ive had this problem for a while now... imnew for vista because it's a new computer.
I've sorted it but I'm not sure how and now the problem is back.
When I right click on my desktop and go to personalization , then thecustomization and appearances I get error "windows internet explore has stopped working" and I get the options"restart this program" and "find a solution for this problem" if I don't find a solution nothing happens and if I restart the program it closes it.
Im not sure what to do as I installed all the updates, a little bit mast service Pack2, but now I can not install more as if I'm going toStart > all programs > windows update if I try to update I get the same error...
some can help me please.
Sally.
Hello
Sorry we don't communicate via this forum.
You need a real antivirus because these are the two antispyware. You have the PCtools antivirus
on the computer or just their toolbar in Internet Explorer?-------------------------------------------------
If there is no antivirus on the computer here is what I use and recommend (except for one
program like Prevx, you don't want more than one antivirus on the computer program
much less running because they interfere with each other and lower security). Each combination
of her below you will warn of malware without toolbar from PCtools running online. Here's what I use and recommend: (these are alll free and very effective versions.)
Avast and Prevx proved extremely reliable and compatible with all I have
launched on them. Microsoft Security Essentials and Prevx have also proven to be very
reliable and compatible. Use MSE or Avast and Prevx, Prevx 3 but not all.Avast Home free - stop any shields is not necessary except leaving Standard, Web, and
Operation of the network.Prevx - Home - free
Windows Firewall
Windows Defender (is not necessary if you use MSE)
Protected IE - mode
IE 8 - SmartScreen filter WE (IE 7 phishing filter)
I also IE always start with asset if filter InPrivate IE 8.
(It may temporarily turn off with the little icon to the left of the + bottom
right of IE)Two versions of Avast are available 5.x and 4.8 x
Avast - home - free - 5.x stop shields you do not use (except files, Web, network, &)
Shields of behavior) - double click on the icon in the Notification area - real time Orange - click on the
Shield that you want to stop - STOP. To stop the Orange icon to show an error indicator-
Click on the Orange icon - top right - settings - click on the status bar - uncheck shields you
disabled - click OK
http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-downloadAvast 4.8 x - home - free - stop shields, you don't need except leaving Standard, Web,.
and the network running. (Double-click the blue icon - look OK. - upper left - Shields details
Finish those you don't use).
http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-download#TAB4Or use Microsoft Security Essentials - free
http://www.Microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/Prevx works well alongside MSE or Avast
Prevx - home - free small, fast, exceptional protection CLOUD, working with other security
programs. It is a single scanner, VERY EFFICIENT, if it finds something come back here
or use Google to see how to remove.
http://www.prevx.com/ <-->-->
http://info.prevx.com/downloadcsi.asp <-->-->PCmag - Prevx - Editor's choice
http://www.PCMag.com/Article2/0, 2817,2346862,00.aspAlso get Malwarebytes - free - use as scanner only. If you ever think malware and that
would be unusual with Avast and occasional Prevx running with the exception of a low level cookie
(not much), to UPDATE and then run it as a scanner. I have a lot of scanners and they
never find anything of note that I started to use this configuration.I hope this helps.
