  • Unable to save (disk quota exceeded) livestream

    I use the edition of FMS 4.5 development and trying to get the work of HLS. Everytime I try to publish a stream of OUT, I get the message:

    F4F:Livestream - NetStream.Record.DiskQuotaExceeded

    in the instance of the application livepkgr and

    Unable to save (disk quota exceeded) livestream.

    in the server log.

    I realize there are limits on the development edition (10 minutes of iOS streaming), however usually these limitations restart when the server is reset.  I restarted the instance of the application and the server itself, manually start and stop the service, and I always get this error when I have everything first connect and try to publish the stream right after rebooting a server. I reset the server several times without success.

    The recording in the application.xml settings are all defined on the default values (-1 by no maximum rate).

    Unfortunately I was never able to get it still works so I am not ambitious enough to start testing on production servers.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you!

    The error you are getting is because your previous f4f recording still exists. If you delete record (livepkgr/streams/_definst_/livestream) f4f, restart the instance as you do and you should be fine. Restart from the custom of the FMS has no effect because it does not automatically delete your existing record. So before starting to publish, clean your previous record.

    Also, the limit must be 30 minutes for the development server - I don't know why you're wrong it is because the link:http://www.adobe.com/products/flashmediaserver/helpmechoose.html it shows only 10 minutes (I'll check with the Manager of the right person for this page get this corrected)

    Let me know if you still face problems.

  • TextFormat a & quot; entry & quot; Question of TextField

    Hi, I created a new AS3 CS3 project which is by default except for a Document class called BoxTest which has the code attached below. When I run it, ' Hello world appears as I hope, however, if I click on the first letter facing and start typing, nothing of the formatting is applied.» In addition, if I select text programmatically (uncommment the lines given below), no formatting is applied.

    Is it me? I missed something obvious? Is this a bug? Any help appreciated.

  • How to reset the disk volume quota hard C

    Original title: Win XP volume quota

    I'm a partitioning of a HARD drive with win XP service pack 3.

    How reset the disk volume quota hard C, I can not get access to quota controls?

    Size of the disk, it's all the 100 GB, I can see on C is 54 GB. you will need to access the other 50 GB.

    1. What do you mean by "unpartitioning" a disc?  If you mean that you remove some partitions on a physical disk in order to have more space in a remaining partition, you should know that you will not be able to extend the partition system (usually c :)), even if there is unallocated space on the disk unless you use a third-party disk management tool.  Windows XP cannot do with its native tools.

    2. are you sure you really want to use disk quotas?  It would be unusual in their homes.
    2B. which means you that you cannot 'access' to quota controls?  You see the tab "Quota"?  Are you logged on as a user who has privileges?

    3. where are you looking that see you C 54 GB but think you should see 100 GB?

  • Disk utility can not create large image of drive (60 GB) on the network share

    Disc Utiity (Versie 15.0 (1511.3)):

    I am creating a disc from a hard disk image. I want to save the image on a Synology DS414 network share.

    The share is accessible a there is no active disk quota.

    I copied a large file via Finder (384 MB) to the \\partagereseau that works.

    When I try to record a copy of disk sharing (60 GB), I get the following message:

    Unsatisfactory area is available on "(null)" to create the NAME of diskimage. Choose another volume with at least 60 GB of available space and continue.

    Summary: I can create large files on the share, but the disc utilities cannot?

    Greetings Wim

    384 MB is nowadays is no longer considered to be a file of "big."

    You don't mention how much space is actually available on the Synology but for arguments sake, we will assume that more than 60 GB of space is available.

    So in theory it should be possible to create a disk image of 60 GB (no doubt), there is enough space available. As you say there is no set of storage quotas and I'm happy to believe that. I think that the issue could be more to do with the maximum allowed size of the file, remember that I mentioned that 384 is actually not much, although some systems have a limit of 4 GB for a single file, for example FAT32 file systems have such a limit. In theory the FAT32 limit should not apply here because almost all including Synology NAS servers actually use Linux as the underlying software and so use Ext3 or Ext4 as file system, not FAT32. Same Ext2 a fortiori Ext3 or Ext4 allowing individuals will produce up to 2 TB of size which is clearly much larger than 60 GB.

    Still it could be related to that question even if it is necessary as an unnecessary and artificial limit may be for example to ensure compatible with other systems using FAT32.

    If you have enough space on the Mac, you could create and try to copy on the Synology, however another approach which is probably better all around is to create a "sparsebundle disk image. It's a disc image, but another type and will work around this problem because it is in fact made up of lots of all small files attached together. As that user do you see this as image a big drive, but the computer sees it as a folder full of files much smaller.

  • When I turn on my computer an error message comes up saying "you are over-quota, please reconfigure to use less space. How to "configure"? I defragmented etc. and it does not help? Thank you

    How to configure my computer?

    I saw a good amount of messages on this lately, enough to make me think that there is some malware floating around the cause.
    This error occurs usually after a computer has been infected then first make sure the computer is completely virus/malware-free. Do not skip this.

    http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware

    At the very least do the preparatory work and then scan with MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware in addition to your regular antivirus program.

    Then locate the disk quotas that can be defined. If the machine is clean and there is no set of disk quotas, copy the lines between asterisks a Notepad document and save it as undopolicy.reg. Double-click undopolicy.reg to merge into registry.

  • Disk.terminateVMOnPDLDefault difinitive

    Hello

    Running ESXi 5.1 update 1:

    Looking for the definitive way to the disk.terminateVMOnPDLDefault entry in the file of formatting parameters. The KB VMWare just says set to true.  Useful.  A number of blog posts and questions do not really help, and I simply don't have the time to go through all the permutations.

    So far, I've seen:

    disk.terminateVMOnPDLDefault = TRUE

    disk.terminateVMOnPDLDefault = "TRUE"

    disk.terminateVMOnPDLDefault = true

    disk.terminateVMOnPDLDefault = "true"

    disk.terminateVMOnPDLDefault = "True"

    Can anyone who has this work please let me know what the entry should actually be?  How hard to put an entry in a KB article to say - is it

    "Add to/etc/vmware/settings: disk.terminateVMOnPDLDefault = < whatever_format_it_should_be >"? ".

    FYI: If one of our without problem, I need all the virtual machines on the hosts involved to stop.  No arguments, etc. etc.  Just close.  I put Misc.APD entries, it worked once on a VM demo, but not on the production of those.  Type of emergency - the customer wants an answer.

    Thank you very much

    (Sorry if I have strong air - bit stressed!)

  • VM seems to restart after DRS vmotions to different host

    One of my vm has been migrated to host a (esx 3.5) to host b (esx 3.5). When I checked the log of the virtual machine (32-bit RHEL5), all services seemed to have been restart without the virtual machine after being powerrd, handed on, shut down or a loss of power. I have not seen this before... what caused this and how it can be prevented.

  • Change config son location "Document and Settings" another location

    I'm working ICT manager of ass in a welcoming and many users like to use Firefox. The problem is that we have a manager of quota installed on all systems with a maximum profile size limit to 30 MB. Society does not, in any circumstances, increase this size limit. This creates the problem that users who don't not Firefox installed bigger profiles and can not work more.

    The main issue in the present is: we can set up Firefox so that the user's settings (and other parts of Firefox) are not written in the "C:\Documents and Settings\ [user]", but the other (still available to the user) location?

    Another option would be like a portable version of Firefox (as Google Chrome Portable) but I do not think that Mozilla has done a portable version? (supported by Mozilla itself and only storage full al necessary files in a local folder, such as the user settings)

    Firefox uses two places in Documents and Settings on XP for the profile folder.

    In the Application data for the main profile and the other in local contexts for the cache and the database of phishing protection.

    This second location is also within this disk quota?

    You can only make Firefox use a profile to a different location if you run Firefox by specifying the location of the folder in the shortcut on the desktop Firefox profile, but which can cause problems if you click on a link in another program and Firefox is not running.

    Otherwise, you will need to prepare a profiles.ini file that points to a location (empty folder, this folder must exist) on the hard disk to use for the Firefox profile.
