The printer connection

I have a hp deskjet 1000 series printer that I had on my old dell computer, I want to connect to it what are the measures to be taken, please help thanks joanne

Do not connect the printer to the computer.

Click here and download the driver appropriate for your version of Windows--> http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Deskjet-1000-Printer-series---J110/4066042/model/4066376

Download of "full feature software and driver" includes all software that bundles HP with this printer.  You may or may not want or need this.

Download of "Basic pilot" will allow you to print.

Run the downloaded file.

Connect the printer when you are asked to do so or when the software installation is complete.

Unfortunately, you don't specify how the printer is connected to the iMac, but let's guess that's via USB.

    On your iMac...

Open the preferences system (gear on the dock icon)

    Open the share

Enter a check mark in the box next to printer sharing

    Close the window

Now, do the same for the MacBook Pro

Then, open Preferences system again on the MacBook Pro

    Click on printers and Scanners

  • problem with the printer connected to windows vista,

I have a Canon PIXMA printeriP1900 when I try to connect it to my computer, I get a message that the printer driver is not compatible with a policy enabled on your computer of mine that blocks NT 4.0 I have Windows vista. Can someone help me

Go to the Canon Website and see if there are drivers for Vista.

    http://www.USA.Canon.com/consumer/controller?Act=DownloadIndexAct

I don't see a pattern of IP1900 if you can't access the exact page. You will need to check your model number. If there are drivers for the version of Vista you have (32 or 64-bit), download and install. Do not have the printer connected until the installer tells you to do. If there are no Vista drivers for the printer, you can not run it under Vista.

You must also run the software printer Canon of an administrative user account.

When I go to print, I get a msg saying "cannot find printer" when everything is connected. It's like if it disconnects after a period of time. • PRI all-in-one HP Deskjet 2542: not the printer connected to the Modem

My modem (wired LAN) password and the name was changed recently and now my printer (HP Deskjet 2542 all-in-one) does not connect to the modem.  The blue light just continuously flashes.  This is the only change that has been done to my modem and this is the first time I tried to print. It is printed on the front.  I called the cable company and they determined my modem was working fine and has suggested that to change my printer settings.  I grew up the printer instructions on my computer, but could not find something that I could change my settings to match the modem.  I think that's what the cable company told me to do.

My printer is mod. # SNPRB - 1204 - 02.  If you need made more information let me know.  It seems that this should be a quick fix, but I'm not a computer geek.

    Hi @first100years,

I'd love to help you connect your printer to your wireless network. The flashing blue light confirms without a doubt that, for some reason, the printer is is more set up.

I found the following steps in this document: connect the printer after change of your wireless network.

The HP software automatically collects the network settings by temporarily connect a USB cable from the printer to a computer that is connected to the new network. Follow these steps to reconnect the printer to the network.

  • College Dorm Internet - impossible to get the printer connected wireless

First of all, let me say that I have 3 OfficeJet Pro 8600.  The printer of love.

Second, here is a part of the background of my situation:

Bought OJP8600 for son go to College.  In the dormitory, it is wireless which is encrypted.

WiFi@OSU is a front-end which feeds on the more robust secure portal, which leads to connect to osuwirless.

Can easily get its HP Pavilion on the osuwireless network.  Name of user and password... no sweat (through the secure portal).

But when I configured the printer... She grabs the WiFi@OSU router and he seems happy.  Problem is that computer of this son is on the osuwireless network.  When I try to select xxxwireless on the printer, I get an error of encryption or application not valid.  Duh.

Then... I'm guessing that a network administrator will need to add the printer?

I used a cable ethernet to connect to his laptop computer and that works.  Awkward, but works.  Suppose that I could also connect via USB, but also clumsy as it is to connect the wire whenever you want to print.

Thanks for bearing with me... here's my questions:

    1. cannot get the HPDirect to work... maybe I don't understand what he does?  I can see the host name in internet connections, but can not get the phone to connect to anything mode other than "limited".

    2. a BlueTooth adapter would be an option?  I know that my 8600 didn't BT resident.

Thanks for reading and your suggestions.

    Hello

You try to open your printer can be used by everyone. The safest way is the use of USB cable.

    Kind regards.

  • 7520 - problems connecting to wifi and keep the printer connection

My new HP printer 7520 does not connect to the wifi unless I unplug the router enter the wireless information, get a connection, and then reconnect the AT & T and I'm good. HOWEVER, if I turn off the printer I have to go through the all new to recover the wireless connection! I know that this has been a problem in the past, but I see not all new messages in this regard. I just bought this printer not realizing that she doesn't have an ethernet port, a big mistake. I'm very frustrated and hope someone has an answer for me! Moreover, I am on a mac with OS of mavericks.

Thank you very much to explain that to me, I looked at the Configuration Page of HP network and it does not list my SSID twice, one on channel 3 and channel 11 so I'll follow up with AT & T if I have additional problems. But everything seems to work now, I turned it and turn it back on this morning and it connected after a few minutes. Turn off the IVP6 must have made a difference after all. Thank you very much, I like this printer and it's features, and I'm glad it now works as it should!

  • How to install a DesignJet T120 (or other) driver printer bypassing the printer connected?

    Hi all

As shown in the topic, how can you install a printer driver without going through the connected printer?

We have a user who has problems with its layout with the DesignJet T120 and want to help reproduce the problem so that we can find a solution, but it seems that, without actually connecting the printer, the driver installation is less difficult.

We use Windows 8, but have access to all the operating systems.

    Thanks for the solution!

    Hello

    Step 1:

You try to perform a System Restore .

System Restore can return programs and system files from your PC to a time where everything worked, potentially prevent hours of troubleshooting of headaches. This will not affect your documents, images or other data.

    Step 2:

Now, install the updates in a clean boot State.

Clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow step 3 from the link to start the computer to a Normal startup mode.

Please post with the State of the question.
