display drivers is not responding

original title: display drivers

A display driver stopped responding, but has recovered.

Hi Cobrablues,

This seems to be a hardware problem, so I'm moving your thread on this forum.

What is the model of this HP?

I suggest to remove all devices so that this problem solved, except for the keyboard, mouse and monitor.

What is the result of your diet?

You can perform a clean boot to see if a background program is causing the problem, being understood that happens randomly:

Is it possible that the computer could be a high CPU utilization when the video card driver crashes?

  • Satellite A300D-1EI - error blue screen display - drivers did not have

I bought my laptop about a month ago.
Everything is working great except two errors 'blue screen' caused by the graphics card.

Both were when the laptop was connected to the TV via the S-video port.
First was when the computer screen turns off after 15 minutes while watching a movie on resume says that the display drivers did not have, and then I got the blue screen. Then I updated the site Web of ATI display drivers and set the computer screen goes out.

All were ok with no problems, until last night when I got another message that the display drivers did not follow a blue screen.

I wonder if this is problem to drive or there is a problem with my graphics card.

    System information:
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T8400 CPU @ 2.26 GHz
    Memory (RAM live): 3.00 GB
System type: 32-bit Windows Vista Edition Home Premium
Graphics card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470

If long you use ATI driver ATI support page it is not possible to say anything on this subject.
This driver is not tested and Toshiba does not offer any help on this matter.

So what you can do is to install OS using recovery media and see what will happen in the future. Please test extensively with the own operating system preinstalled. Do not install anything that can have some negative influence this game or additional applications, codecs or something similar.

Test it please and tell us if the problem persists.

  • Satellite P300D-15O - display drivers does not-XP/Vista

    Hi all

After buying this Satellite P300D-15O tried several times the reinstallation of operating systems: Windows XP Pro, Windows Vista x 32 and x 64 version, but does not display drivers offered by Toshiba downloads: it runs only the Windows standard vga drivers after you have installed and not working drivers for AMD/ATI HD3470.

Max resolution is 1152 x 864. The laptop has been pre-installed with Vista Home Premium and good work and resolution of 1440 x 900 ATI drivers; but I want a new installation on my own without any addition of pre-installed software from McAfee/Google etc - The Toshiba telephone Customer Service can't help for this problem, they have NO answer, :(! Is there a solution with the inf files? Can anyone help!

    THX, endo

    Hello

In my opinion, make you a huge mistake. Laptop with factory settings is perfect set up and all hardware components are working properly. OK, I understand you don't want to use some additional preinstalled software, but you must understand that you don't have to do it.

I have absolutely the same option about it than you and the first thing I did with my Satellite P200D is to remove all the software, I don't want to have installed on the system.

You can do the same thing. Go to the control panel > programs and features and then remove all the additional software. Later, install your favorite software and be happy with it.
I do the same thing. Why install OS Vista own especially if you ve already paid for a Vista license.

What do you think of this?

  • Vista displays the message "not responding".

When I click to open programs, the program does not open and a message "not responding" appears next to the title of the program at the top of the screen. The entire screen turns off and when I try to close the program a box pops up that gives the options for "Wait for the program to answer" or "close program". When I select 'close program' a message saying "windows is looking for a response" but no answer is found and the system hangs and I can't 'restart', so I have to close the pc using the power button and open again.
This problem occurs with any program and randomly. Some of the programmes concerned are Internet Explorer, windows Explorer, windows, windows snip tool, roxio creator 2009 and other photo gallery. It seems to happen with any program being launched and programs that have successfully launched previously.
I searched the various help pages without success.

    Hello

I have don t wonder that you are not able to install the original graphics drivers on the graphics card manufacturing site.
These graphic discs are designed for use on desktop PCs only.

Anyway, there is a little trick to install these drivers on the desktop.
You must install the driver from the Device Manager. I mean that you must attribute the source driver manually.
Notes; the source of the diver is the folder where the driver has been downloaded.

    You know the site omegadrivers.net?
These drivers are very useful and could be installed easily without any tricks.
Please check this box. Perhaps the installation of the new driver will solve your graphic problems.

PS; Please come back and report your results!

  • Display drivers do not work on Satellite L650 PSK1JE

I would not pay 1.50 per minute for the Toshiba hotline get direct assistance with my problems with a product i once paid money (not bad), the Toshiba Satellite L650 (PSK1JE) laptop, so I try this way and hope that I get help.

Sorry for my bad English, I'm from the Germany and have not found a German advice here (I wonder what other costumers / are forced to do it...)

To make a long story short: I need the current drivers for my graphics ATI Radeon Mobility HD 5650.

-If I download at ATI, I download the Catalyst Center. Installation fails because the program tells me that the graphics cards do not match. I don't know why.
-so I downloaded the drivers on the Toshiba homepage. The results: they are installed, but now I can set the resolution to 1024 * 768. So I re-roll my system to get rid of that joke.

What are the possible solutions to this problem? How can I get the drivers for my graphics card that really work?

I'd appreciate any help, thank you.

    Hello

The resolution depends on the screen
If the screen does not support a higher resolution, you will not be able to choose

But AFAIK the L650 supports a 15.6 16:9 ration screen and the available max resolution is 1366 x 768

Take a look at this document:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB0502VW0000R02.htm

There is a tool that allows you to activate the resolution supported max.

  • Satellite L500-1r3: why there is no new display drivers intel?

The funny thing is that my friends 10 years old computer with old geforce 4 mx graphics of old maps Proccesor than mine and 512 MB ram ddr 1 IS able to play movies through television smoothly.

    It's a SHAME!

    Hello

First of all keep cool. Who knows what exactly you were doing and no one knows the exact configuration and drivers. Maybe it s your mistake and it's always easy to say that it s a manufacturing problem.

In any case, I think that Intel display drivers will not update if often because these cards are not designed for games where new drivers are most important.

Then you should try another HDMI cable and test another monitor. Also, make sure that this latest version of the BIOS is installed.

Finally and most importantly, I can t find information on your operating system. One that is installed and have you tried with the factory settings?

  • H8 1000z: display driver does not

    Hello

Today my computer blacked out 2 times of serprate and I got an error message whenever display driver is not responding.  Several years ago, my computer blacked out and stopped runing.   Leading me to reset the graphics card and it worked again.   I don't put it back if the error message from the driver does not respond and the part of my computer blacking out and running again has nothing to do with each other.   I'm not on computers all that much but would also add that if this problem one map graphic.  Where or in my computer being inside of the case, if not where can I find the graphics card of a particular type for this system.  Thank you.

If you try another video card, you must make sure that the video card system requirements are exceeded by what your system has, or you will have problems.  Normally, the main culprit is the ability to supply.  The standard power in your system 460 W and your motherboard has 1 PCI Express x 16 (Gen 2.0) slot.

Looking at the specifications of the AMD Radeon™ HD 6450 graphics card, under the support he tab shows, "400 Watt or greater of supply recommended (500 Watt for AMD CrossFireX™ technology in dual mode) ', PCI Express 2.1 x 16,

Comparison between the two, you do not have a power supply with a larger capacity, if the "AMD CrossFireX" applies to your card and the card is is Gen 2.1, so it could lose some functionality or performance.

The key is to compare what your current hardware is capable, and if necessary you should do more updates to support newer or more powerful hardware.

The other thing is that there is never any guarantee that a device will work with another device, even if on paper they seem to be compatible. As soon as a system leaves the factory, a user could have installed other hardware devices or software that may not play well with something else.

Analogy a bit, let go when they leave the factory, each computer is like a clone, but once in the hands of a user, they become individuals.

  • Windows XP, the "Windows Search" application does not work, Task Manager shows "not responding", how to solve the problem?

Windows Search does not respond when you try to find a file or folder. The Task Manager displays the message "not responding". Is it possible to download a patch for this problem by running Windows XP SP 3?

    Hi Carl Kochman,.

    1. have you made changes on the computer before this problem?
    2. What is the exact error message or error code?

Try the following and see if it helps.

    Method 1:

Check if the search Windows service is turned on.
To do this, follow these steps.

    a. Click Start and then click on run
    (b) in the Open box, type services.msc and press ENTER.
    c. double-click Windows Search.
    d. set its startup type to automatic.
    e. set the service state to started.
    f. click OK. Check if it helps.

    Method 2:

Run the System File Checker and check if it helps.
Description of Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 System File Checker (Sfc.exe): http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310747

    Method 3:

Run the Microsoft Safety Scanner and check if that helps resolve the issue.

    Microsoft Safety Scanner: http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

    Note
: the Microsoft Safety Scanner expires 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.
Note : the data files that are infected can be cleaned by removing the file completely, which means there is a risk of data loss.
  • Screen reader not responding

I need help. I get this message more and more frequently lately:

"Screen reader is not responding. NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver version 311.06 stopped and recovered."

This afternoon, it didn't recover more. Got the blue screen, restarted system and get the blue screen again. It happened several times. Then I restarted in safe mode, but here, I could not access the video driver. The local computer store told me that is almost never the pilot, but the actual card. (May be overheating due to fan problem, etc.). Also they told me that these cards usually do not last that long (6 years).

    My questions:

    1. is it possible to diagnose this problem more away or should I just replace the map with a more powerful? (In fact I've been thinking the same before this problem.)

    2. What do you suggest as a more powerful card still works with this motherboard? (My motherboard is Asus P6X58D Premium and my card is ENGTX 480. OS: Windows 7 Professional, Adobe suite: CS5.)

I thank very you much for any advice.

    -Laci.

LACI, this is your driver display that is not responding.  Try to upgrade to the latest version and get it on the nVidia site.  My last download was 347.09 for my nVidia GTX cards as well as the version of yours is very old.  Of course maybe it's not the problem, but you should update the driver in any case if you get a new GPU

  • I have a problem when using Google Maps, at a certain point my custards computer window and says there is a problem with the display drivers and he recovered, but it is not. Problem does not occur with Int Explorrer, so I don't think it's the computer

When using google maps via Firefox, after asking a place which is not the General section of North America who comes up regularly, the firefox screen becomes white with a narrow banner at the top. A message appears in the lower right corner that says something on display drivers having had a problem, but now have been recovered. However, the display is not recover and the message of the banner is that Firefox is not responding. When I go to restart Firefox if I'm about to restore, the page is still frozen.
I don't think there is a problem with my computer because it doesn't happen if I used to go to google maps, then G-cards works normally.
This phenomenon didn't happen before the last update Google or Firefox. I used Fiefox for some years and also Google Maps on previous computers and on this one and not had it before.
It is a relatively young computer (Asus EeSlate 121) less than a year. I have used Firefox since I bought it and until recently had no problem with Google Maps.

I solved it myself, after the 'note' that was FF/Mozilla, just as I finished my message, commenting on what it was that my system was, I wnnt back to check my plug-ins, etc. I downloaded the latest Java, the TWO 32-bit AND 64-bit versions and latest Firefox.
    Now everything works.
