Display in browser issues

Elements on my homepage are moving in front of my header (header is pinned to the top of my master page) when I view it in a browser. How can I stop this from happening?

What home page? What browser? How it was created? You have not yet started to provide useful information such as a link to the page, the source code or screenshots.

  • Private browsing issues: new window is a "pop-up" & right click on Favorites Displays grayed out options

When I'm in the mode of private browsing in Firefox 38.0.1 for Windows 8.1, I can't do the following.

    1. when I click on a link to open a new window, the new window is like a pop-up window (no menus, no scroll bar). I have a blocked pop-up windows, it is like, but is not technically a pop-up window but it is not blocked.

    2. when I choose a bookmark and then right-click on it to choose another bookmark in a new window or new tab (or any other options that appear), the text is gray while I can't choose it.

These "issues" are normal for Firefox 38.0.1?

My suggestions for the settings to be performed in all: config. That type in the address bar, press the return key, then change these settings. Which will affect the popup windows. Does this affect the private windows?

  • Display of design issues

    Hello

I downloaded the Dreamweaver 8 and I am taking a few online tutorials to improve my almost non-existent skills. I have changed something during my careless exploration on demand. The problems that I'll have all involved the design view.

    1. If I create a layer in the lower part of the page, it automatically goes to the top left corner, but when I view in a browser it is still exactly where I placed it in design mode.
    2. If I change the text using a css style it will show changes in the browser view, but not in design mode.
    3. can I change the position of a layer if I change the HTML code but I do not get a handle when I mouse over the upper left corner of the layer. When I change the position of the layer in the code it still doesn't move the top left corner in design mode, but it does not change in the browser view. (I have to change the position in the code because when I click on the layer only layer properties that are available and class layer)
    4. last but far from least only page properties that are available to me are appearance, title/encoding and Image Tracing

It's the trial version of Dreamweaver 8 and the same downloaded test works fine on my laptop. Both machines are addition to the XP Home with SP2.

I worked on the issue for about a week. (Please don't laugh) I deleted and reinstalled the app... twice.

    Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated

Make sure that CSS Style rendering do not turn off:

View > Style made > display Styles

It is a part of menu toggle, she should have a check mark next to it
    When ON.

The other day I installed upgrading security KB977165. Later, I noticed problems both of the browsers that I use - IE8 and Firefox 3.5. I could use a browser once, but after closing cold not reopened or the other. If I rebooted the computer, I could still use a browser once. Recalling the only software modification that I had done - update KB977165 - Finally I uninstalled it. There has been no problem browser since.

Has anyone else had a similar problem with this security update? I see other problems with this update in various forums, but none with the browsers.

    Hi Pauladin,

  • Display card driver issue (Digital Signature of the unverified driver)

In Device Manager, I have a question, marked by an icon of yellow exclamation next to "ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics" under the heading "graphics cards".  When I right click and go to properties I see the message: "Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent... (Code 52) ».

My graphics card is built into my motherboard, which is the GIGABYTE GA-MA78GM-S2H Micro ATX AMD.

I have not install my own drivers, I let Windows 7 install drivers for me.  What do you recommend to resolve this unsigned driver issue (e.g. should I look for an ATI driver perhaps?).

    Thank you

    Hi BDub2

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers Forum!

We would like to know if you've made any recent software or hardware changes made to your computer.

We receive this error if the driver has been modified. I would recommend with these methods

Uninstall and reinstall the device in Device Manager. Steps to uninstall the device:

    i. click on start, type devmgmt.msc and then on enter.

II. Locate the display adapter device

III. right click on the device and select uninstall

IV. restart the computer to make the changes happen

Uninstall and reinstall the card program and features. Steps to follow

    i. Click Start and select Control Panel

II. in the Control Panel double-click the "Programs and features" icon

III. here you can find all the programs and items that are installed in Windows 7.

IV. to remove the adapter click once on the program and then click Uninstall/change, and follow the prompts.

    v. install the last driver on the manufacturer's Web site. Download the Windows 7 compatible display driver.

  • BlackBerry Storm Smartphone Internet browser issues

I use a Blackberry Storm with a Verizon data plan.

My phone is able to connect to my email server and works very well in this regard.  I can also use the Opera browser to browse the internet without fail.

Problems arise whenever I try to navigate with the default browser.  If I click on a bookmark saved on my home page, and then I am able to navigate successfully to the bookmark url.  However, I can never establish a connection every time I enter a url on my own, or do a google/wikipedia search, etc...

So, basically, I can't navigate with my default blackberry internet browser.

    I already tried this troubleshooting:

historic compensation and cache, doing resets from phone, deactivation and reactivation of the RF connection... still nothing is helping.

Without leaving the browser, I can still click on a bookmark and the internet works, however, whenever I enter a url or a search on the home page item, the browser fails and gives me the following message is displayed:

"A communication failure has occurred with the chosen Mobile Data Service.  The server may be busy, please try again later.  If the problem persists, contact your administrator.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

It's easy: in the options of the browser, set the default browser as "Internet browser" instead of "Blackberry Browser".

    Any help is welcome.

    Bob.

We do not support or test Flash Player against the TORCH.

You can find a list of browsers supported here:

Adobe Flash Player | Technical specification

You can report the problem to the TORCH to see if they can resolve what is the compatibility issue.  It is not something that study us or difficulty.

  • Adobe typekit javascript added in html, but the fonts are not loading/display on browser

I have a set of fonts selected in adobe typekit, after that I used the code embedded in the html file, I still don't see the fonts displayed/shown in the browser. That's the fluidlayout working on a website using dremweaver.

The "boilerplate.css" has his own fonts mentioned, but this has got something to do with the fonts using adobe typekit?

To see a preview of the Typekit fonts locally, you should use a local test such as wamp, xampp or mamp server and configure it in your DW site definition.  See screenshot.

  • How the display image browser size is important these days?

I am a photographer who shoots food for small businesses, and I don't know that a lot of web design.  Some of my clients use templates for web design (rather than using the designers) and less that I know.  I advise them to design pages that display JPG images at their actual size for optimal sharpness and tell them that a web page with a jpg file with a smaller than its actual size will probably seem a little fuzzy.

I've tested this recently and was surprised that I could upload it jpg very large for a web page to test that shows it is small, and the image went well.  It's Chrome for Mac.  Safari has looked a bit fuzzy but not as bad as I would have guessed.  Now, I know that it is not good to use huge images to keep reasonable page load times. But it seems that browsers have become smarter lately on resizing the images for display. What is the latest thinking on this old golden rule?  With a sensitive web design / best browsers, transferred bit jpg size does matter as much as it used to?

I want to be able to advise my clients competently, and I don't want them or me wasting time in jpg to just the right size; and conversely, I'm not using an images 'one size fits all' approach if their results will be significantly wrong.  How hard I have to push this issue with them?

So, how much image display size question these days, and what are the best practices?

This thread may be able to offer assistance because it covers the use of images for Retina displays. He suggests basically showing the image to the right size, but using an image that is twice as big (just like what you did above).

  • Adobe Flash Player installed.  Does not seem to be recognized by IE9.  Incorrect display of browser?

    Good evening everyone,

This Flash issue drive gives me fits, so I hope that one of you may have experienced this before. Websites visited on this Tablet does not recognize Adobe Flash Player. I have installed Adobe Flash Player version 11.5.502.135 for Internet Explorer. When I go to the following link, http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html , I get the following information:

"Flash player is running on your system." The lil' ball rotates backwards.

    Version of flash player: 11.5.502.135

    OS: Windows 7 (32-bit)

    Browser: Opera

Well, I use Internet Explorer 9. What gives? I tried to uninstall and reinstall Flash player. No luck. ActiveX filtering is disabled. The Shockwave Flash Object add-on is activated. I ran a few antivirus updates and find a bunch of signatures, but I removed immediately. (Malwarebytes, Spybot S & D)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  I'm about to nuke the hard drive and start over.

    Thank you in advance.

    Good afternoon Sunil.

Thanks for the reply.  Sorry if I wasn't clear on my previous post.  That's right, that the page incorrectly detect the browser like Opera. I was with IE9.  It was very strange.

I corrected it performed a Windows system restore from the previous month.

    Take care.

Hi all, I am relatively new to web design (coming from a graphic design background)

If you allow me, I would like to give you some advice.  Based on the people I've seen come and go through this forum since I arrived here with DW2 (NOT CS2), I must say that people of demographic data are generally those who struggle the most with DW.  I think it's because they have difficulty with the notion that the web is NOT a printed page, which means that things can flex size width/height and the same text after you have created the page.  I think it is also because they are so accustomed to using a "drag and drop" approach layout design that they extrapolate approaching (or try) in DW.  I can tell you categorically that being stuck in these two modes will drive you nuts in DW.  I invite you to bite the bullet and learn some HTML and CSS.  You will probably find without this basic understanding, totally mysterious DW.

Now - your screenshots illustrate my first point.  Your Firefox is configured to display text in a larger default size than Safari.  The container for this text extends vertically accordingly, and this text box becomes greater.  You can't stop that from happening - the user has always the option to change their browser to display text larger or smaller as you expected.  The key is that all of your page layouts must be built to accommodate this kind of unexpected text size change.

A good place to start your familiarity with HTML and CSS by ramp is here - http://www.w3schools.com!

    Good luck...

  • Before ie browser issue 8

    Hello

    I have problems with the Internet Explorer browser which distorts my design (before 8). It was discussed yesterday, I had floated both the < div > left a right in a container with width fixed to 800px and we got the answer that the empty space in the middle was the cause of the problem. So I put my HTML content in another < div > so there are three < div > adding up to 800px collectively all floated left... it did not work and I was waiting for it too! I have not been doing this for a long time so forgive me if the answer is elementary. Help, please. There are some screenshots of ie7 and 8 ties.     li#nm2_1 a:hover {     height: 29px;     background-image: url(../images/sidebutbg23.gif);     background-repeat: repeat-x;}li#nm2_2 a:hover {     height: 29px;     background-image: url(../images/sidebutbg23.gif);     background-repeat: repeat-x;}li#nm2_3 a:hover {     height: 29px;     background-image: url(../images/sidebutbg23.gif);     background-repeat: repeat-x;}li#nm2_4 a:hover {     height: 29px;     background-image: url(../images/sidebutbg23.gif);     background-repeat: repeat-x;}li#nm2_5 a:hover {     height: 29px;     background-image: url(../images/sidebutbg23.gif);     background-repeat: repeat-x;}li#nm2_6 a:hover {     height: 90px;

    }

    You just need this:

    #main_nav2 li a:hover {     height: 29px;     background-image: url(../images/sidebutbg23.gif);     background-repeat: repeat-x;}

Also add display: inline; to your 'rightnav' css

  • Display the Browse on Firefox is not good

I am using a navigation button in my HTML, workng is fine, but on firefox-30 view of my button browse is not good, can someone help me to fix it in my code?

Is it possible that this field is 'necessary' and what is called by a rule for admission: required in your CSS? This is not new in Firefox 30, but perhaps it was twisted (there are hundreds of variations in each version...). Otherwise, it is hard to imagine why you'd have a ring after using the control and not before.
