display of the image of the network

Hello

How to load and display an image when it is read from a socket connection? I can only find examples for the loading of the file system.

I can get the bytes, but I can't find a starting point to display these bytes as a jpeg image using the library of the screen.

Thank you.

Try something like:

char complete_data[image_size];
bzero(complete_data, image_size);
int totalBytes = 0;
while (totalBytes < image_size)
{

    received = read(imagesock, &complete_data[totalBytes], sizeof(complete_data)-totalBytes);
    if(received > 0)
    {
        printf("reading %i \n ", received);
        fflush(stdout);
        totalBytes += received;
    }
}

  • No network adapter is displayed in the network and sharing Center

    My internet connection works very well through a router, but if I go to the network and sharing Center and click on change adapter settings, I get a blank page.
    The adapter appears in Device Manager and it is used by the computer as disabling it kills the internet connection.
    I think that's the reason that I have a network with a red X icon. The ToolTip that appears when the mouse passes over the icon said access to the Internet.
    What would cause the network to do not "see" the adapter, even if it's to use?
    The adapter is a Netgear GA311 gigabit and compatibile with Windows 7.

    Have you installed the drivers of www.netgear.com?

  • WRT 1900AC and Windows 7 on the network or naming issues

    Background: I had a Linksys E3000 up and running for about 5 years in a stable network environment.  The E3000 is dead, and I put in a new 1900AC WRT to replace.  Doing of things set up correctly the main 'name network' in my network poster shows up as a name given to a part of my network wireless.  The "Wired" part appears in diagrams and windows, as well as the bands main wirless, but not as the nodal point between computers cable and internet Win7, I want to get the machines to Windows 7 on my network to display the name of cable system in Windows 7, as the primary network and NOT one of those wireless.  Almost everything I want to be able to do works very well except for the display of the network card in Windows 7 when I tried to set up a 'House' group that does not yield to my efforts.,.

    I use the notation 'suffix' in the name, so is my router on ethernet. .. NET, the lower band wireless is ... W24 upper band is ... W5.   I haven't figured out how to get objects from the 'sequence of configuration of events' out of the Windows 7 shows in the 'Network Neighborhood' so I have a more rational image that has Ethernet to the soul and the bands wireless networks subsidiary additional not necessarily associated with all my devices.  I know this isn't technicallly a Linksys issue, but... Can I just delete alll information neworking in Windows 7 and restart and then force the computer to put in place a network based on the correct network node labels. provided by the router?   I'm a little worried that I might have "reset" all that would be a huge * beep * since almost everything I want to do works very well, I'm not quite clear sometimes if the process of connecting a computer to another, or a NAS attached to the router through the wired network or wireless one where performance can be a big problem.  My Ethernet is "certified" to 1 Gbit/s, which is much faster than wireless networking.  Sometimes, it seems that to access the NAS attached to the router is done "through a tiny straw, not driving fast in the world of wiered.»  I used to do a lot of Windows NETBIOS networking "back in the day" and my network of naming conventions followed probably not with the time, but I have still two Windows XP computers connected to my home network, and when 'debug' things I think as central Ethernet and wirless and additional networks portions, not conversely.  Unfortunately Windows 7 seems to grasp the names wireless first, probably because the machines in question all have two wired connectivity and wireless, built in and available in their equipment and one who has been implemented and functional with the old router, when the new plugged it was used initially for initialization using the default sequence integrated into the software of the router.  I was able to go back and rename everything to get rid of the default names, but my Android based network monitor works only within the range of the router and not when the phone is connected to the internet outside the home.  I was never able to get the support of people phone to help me clarify this issue either. ..  When I added the second computer, it's the same out of the box, Windows has taken the name of the first wireless network that he found and put it in the vicinity of network as the device in the path between the computer and the internet, I can 'see' the host name of the router correctly from everywhere and map on the 1 TB drive that I hung above all my computers, but the Internet connection is actually an ethernet drop of water from a modem cable to a port on the router ethernet, not one of the wireless bands that appear.

    I'm not ready to take this option, partly because I managed to apply each official Linksys/Belkin new update to this firmware to the router via a network connected to the interface of the web browser, app management Andoroid meets most of my needs and that the router is in a section of closet custom built interface built in an old House we updated to convert a vestibule in two closets.

    The router sits above a coat bar with the phone and networking hub for a small household of Ethernet wiring devices, coaxial cable and telephone wiring central location includes a small battery assisted power conditioner for the cable modem, the hubs and the router itself as well as the power supply for a connected NAS drive to the port of the router using USB 2.0 speed (the drive is older than the router , but the operating system to wake up when one of the connected devices want to access once it is mapped on the computer.  The only precaution I had to take was to not implement the external login to the router with the same credentials used by the Android app that I use to check things and if necessary to restart, etc if I don't want to run a computer and connect in this way.  If I had to 'flash' of the router manually, I have to be sure I could worm my way in this cabinet, unplug everything, then consider somewhere, performing surgery and then carry all back and reconnect it.  I'm 72 with cataracts of too many years of watching from the CRT in my youth.  I prefer not to tighten my back, or down a small stepladder, I need just to get up there where I see things.  Perhaps when we move, I'll take with me to Kendal at Oberlin and set up again in a configuration that is more appropriate for a bungalow in a community with large campus wireless available to everyone... This could be interesting.  I hope that if will meet my needs "such what" until then.  BTW, I'm getting pretty good wireless reception on my terrace outside a two-story built in 1939 with hard plaster, brick slab concrete and brick walls of full course between the router and me!

  • Remove or replace the name of the network (Vista, wired to the router)

    I have 4 computers on my network home (a new laptop and Windows 7 desktop computer and an older laptop and desktop Vista, which are replaced - laptops are wireless).  I had a LOT of problem with printer sharing, especially after a reboot printer goes offline, and I can't find any way to get them back another remove printers and reinstalling (disappointment, disappointment, disappointment) online.  And then I started having problems with one of the Vista (cables to the router) computers access the computer Windows 7 new, also wired to the router.

    Then I will begin first with the last problem.  Trying to get the old wired Office Access/recognize the new desktop windows 7 Wired, I ended up resetting my fairly new Linksys router e2500 to its factory setting - and in the process gained a new network name.  I finally understood how to get the laptops wireless to recognize the new network (should be easy, but it wasn't), but the old wired Vista insists on the use of the former name of network, one that appears in the network and sharing Center implementation.  The other funny thing is that even though she seems to be using the former name of network, I put on Jack autour with her so I don't have Internet access on my old Vista computer.

    I guess that because it is trendy, it seems not to worry about the network name, but it's bothering me because it's not fair.  However, I can't find any way to delete the old name of network.  I spent the day on that and am still confused.  Baffled because it is working and baffled because I can change the name.  I also get a lot of mistakes "Windows cannot access \\myWindows7computername" when I double click on the name displayed in the network folder of Windows Explorer (probably more serious problem).  In any case, I want to address what should be first the problem of easire.

    I discovered enabled network, public folder sharing, which transforms file on the computer discovery and Vista network, sharing the printer and sharing active files (but only on the printer and all the other things of file not checked), and sharing files public computer to Windows 7 (the one with the printers connected to it) - and passwords disabled on both (all computers).

    So my first question is how to make the network name on the Vista desktop wired old deleted/changed/replaced for the new name of the current network.  Why it does not insist in using the former name of network that no longer exists.

    Ron in round rock

    Sorry about that, but I got my answer from another forum, a Linksys Forum - and I will talk about a few things in case other people have this problem/question.

    To remove the network name that appears on the Network Center and sharing, click on the link to customize to the right of the network type - and on the next screen, click on merge or delete network locations, you will / should be able to remove (don't know what fusion done or means) the network with the wrong name, EXCEPT that you can't remove it If it is being used (which is / was the problem I had).  When I unplugged the cable between the computer and the router, I was able to remove the network location (the one with the old name of network), I tried to get rid of.

    Now for the confession.  All this has nothing to do with the name of the network - and most of the things in my original post is just smoke also.  I was going down the wrong path.  It turns out that with computers connected to a router, there is only one network involved and you can call it anything you like and it will work.  There is no selection of a network involved as in the case of a wireless network.

    Network with wired computers name is determined lby network name "you enter" on the screen to customize network settings, the screen you get when you click Customize on the screen of the Network Center and sharing - and you can type in anything you want here.  I'd so go through all this.  I simply had to re - enter the network name on the screen to customize network settings, that is simply a name that you can use for your own reference.

  • Windows 7 network can't see multiple devices on the network

    Hi all.  I'm about to leave my hair on this issue - I hope someone can prevent the horror that would be me without hair.

    I am running Windows 7 Home Edition on a personal computer that is connected via cable to a router UVerse also providing my home with wireless services.

    A few months ago, I could see - of my PC, network and devices and printers - the two PS3, XBox systems and Samsung TV devices that are connected to my wireless network.  Apparently randomly, my computer has ceased to be able to see these devices.  After trying everything I could think of, I've finally reformatted the system (before Christmas) and everything was good again until last week when my computer stopped once more to see these devices.  I * really * don't want to reformat my system again...

    Here are some details on where I started after the last reformat:

    The PC is connected to a homegroup.

    The PC has a wired connection to the router.  The devices are connected over wireless.

    The firewall is turned on.

    AVG anti-virus has been activated.

    Network discovery, file and sharing printers and streaming media are all enabled.

    Password sharing is disabled.

    Devices could stream Netflix/Hulu as well as files on my computer (using the PlayOn Server - I've never used WMP).

    Now my devices can still Streaming Netflix/Hulu, but not the files on my computer.  The PC can't see the devices and the devices cannot see the PC.

    Here is a list of most of the things I've tried to solve (although I've done so many things, I probably don't forget some):

    I added the PC to the wireless network, so now that it is connected both cables and wireless.  I even tried to fill these connections, although I removed the bridge when I saw that there was no difference.

    I have disabled the firewall completely.

    I disabled the AV entirely.

    I switched a residential group to a working network and vice versa.

    I gave you the assigned IPs devices in the router configuration.

    I've rolled back all the windows updates installed since the last time the devices showed in the PC network.

    I've removed the devices on the network, reconnected the and reconfigured to ensure that they have the media streaming (if applicable).

    I did several reboots the PC, the router, and devices.

    I added the PlayStation Network and XBOX Live and applications hosted under NAT/game on my router.

    I have enabled file sharing for devices that use 40 encryption or 56-bit.

    Additional troubleshooting information:

    When I try to add a device using the Add Device dialog box, no device never shows.

    Under media streaming options, when I look at instruments under all the networks and Local network, no unknown device only shows (even in WMP).  All devices that * show are already set to 'allow '.

    If I have access to my router configuration, the devices will appear as connected.

    I can ping devices from the PC.

    I searched endlessly on the Internet (including other threads on this forum) and have tried all of the suggestions I thought.  The only thing I can't do is activate uPNP on my router because routers Uverse do not offer this option.  However, I don't think that it's important because my PC could see these devices for some time after my last reformat and made no changes to the configuration of the router.

    Because multiple and different wireless devices are involved, and because a reformat solves the problem, in my view, it is a Windows problem, but I can't understand what to change on my system to make things work again.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Hello

    Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    It's a shame that you have to format the system first and now, the problem still persists. I really appreciate the efforts made to try to resolve the problem. This can be due to any dispute of third party software due to which the connection failed. I suggest you follow the methods below and check.

    Method 1: Run the network troubleshooter to diagnose the problem.

    Run the network troubleshooter

    Method 2: start the computer in safe mode with network and then perform the clean boot.

    Step 1: restart the computer in safe mode with network and check if the problem occurs, proceed as in the link:

    See: , start your computer in safe mode

    Step 2: If the safe mode with network works, perform clean boot and check if any third-party application is causing problem.

    Put your system to the clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. You must follow the steps in the article mentioned below to perform a clean boot.

    How to perform a clean boot in Windows

    Note: see 'How do I reset the computer to start normally after a boot minimum troubleshooting' to reset the computer starts normally after troubleshooting.

    Method 3: To enable the network devices to display on the network map, they must meet four requirements:

    • Must be a HOME network or work: Mapping network only display the devices connected to a HOME network or WORK location. Devices connected to a network PUBLIC or FIELD cannot be displayed using the network card.
    • Devices must be DETECTABLE: The network discovery setting allows devices to be able to be seen by other devices on the same network. For more information, please consult: , enable or disable network discovery
    • Devices must comply with the LINK LAYER TOPOLOGY DISCOVERY Protocol: Topology Discovery LLTD (Link Layer) is a protocol developed by Microsoft to enable networked devices to 'discover' each other. If a device does not use the LLTD protocol so it can not be displayed in the network map. Windows 7 computers have the LLTD protocol implemented.
    • LLTD must be enabled on your LAN connection properties: The Link Layer Topology Discovery Mapper of e/s driver and the Link Layer Topology Discovery responder must be enabled on your local area connections properties panel.

    To check LLTD is enabled, you can refer to the following steps:

    a. Select open network and sharing Center by clicking on the icon of your network down to the right of your task bar:

    b. now, click connect to the Local network

    c. now, click on Properties

    d. ensure that two LLTD options below are selected (by default, these options are still enabled in Windows 7).

    From now to try the methods above and let us know the status. We will be happy to help you further.

    "Personas" are basically dead. The name was changed to 'Lightweight thèmes' and the Mozilla seems to have lost all interest in this feature. IMO, it is corporate ADHD - build, promote, many users ignore the hook on the feature, of it do not continue to "show the love" and in two or three years 'kick on the sidewalk.

    Basically, the add-on bar went in Fx29 - so there is no image at the bottom. There is an extension that restore the bar of the add-on, and it seems that it supports Personas - based on the screenshots on the page to download add-on.

    URT

    I've always wondered why there is no control to an IUR for display of an image of Vision of OR...

    Anyway, there is a hack to incorporate a display image of NI Vision window in a Panel. It has already been discussed on this forum but I can't find the link more.

    It goes something like this:

    HWND window_handle, parent_handle;

    int image_window;
    int left, top, width, height;

    initialize the CVIRTE, etc.

    create the parent panel

    Panel = LoadPanel (...);

    get a new handle to display (optional, see the imaqGetWindowHandle documentation)

    imaqGetWindowHandle (& image_window);

    integrate into a parent group

    WINDOW_HANDLE = (HWND) imaqGetSystemWindowHandle (image_window);
    GetPanelAttribute (Panel, ATTR_SYSTEM_WINDOW_HANDLE, (int *) & parent_handle);
    SetWindowLong (window_handle, GWL_STYLE, WS_CHILDWINDOW);
    SetParent (window_handle, parent_handle);
    SetWindowLong (window_handle, GWL_STYLE, WS_CLIPSIBLINGS);

    Position the display where it should be displayed and resize
    imaqSetWindowSize (image_window, width, height);
    imaqMoveWindow (image_window, MakePoint (left, top));

    I hope this helps...
