> display begins jumping around at breakneck speed...
Hey man, how to understand it? Does it jump when the desktop appears too?
Can you do any photo or short and upload it somewhere? Just to see what it looks like when display jumps.
What model of laptop do you have?
This happens with the original preinstalled recovery image (factory settings)?

At least it probably has nothing to do with the old or the new driver. Test it with the original Toshiba image.

  • Built in camera Chicony USB no longer works on laptop Satellite A200

All of a sudden, the built-in in my laptop Satellite A200 Chicony USB webcam has stopped working - it was going very well about 6 weeks ago, but now it's as if he has actually disappeared from the laptop. The camera does not even on devices such as equipment manager - there is no single category of imaging devices (unless I am also connected to our printer/scanner). It is also not displayed in 'scanners and cameras' folder in the control panel. But the software (Toshiba Camera Assistant software) is still there. Weird.

When I start the computer first, or at other times try to start the camera, an error message appears that says:
    * "webcam driver open fail. Restart the computer or the camera. "

Before you tell me to download and reinstall the drivers, let me tell you what I "ve tried so far:"
    1 restart the computer (obviously)
2 downloaded the driver for my model on this site and variously has tried to repair, replace and finally uninstalled and reinstalled the. IT IS NOT THE DRIVER!
3 unplugged my wireless USB mouse and restart the computer (I read on another thread that it sometimes interferes with the camera)
4 tried to get the computer looking for new hardware - he couldn't find it.
5 tried a system restore, where it was linked to a recent update - I tried this using three different restore points system, and none of them could not be completed.

    Help! necessary technical assistance
    Thank you

All that you have done is just.

In all this history it's strange this webcam is not listed in Device Manager.
In my opinion, you should do a final test to check the operation of the equipment, if you want to install the OS by using recovery DVDs.

With own factory and OS preinstalled settings, you can check the operation of the equipment and see if the cam will work or not.
If the problem will be the same I'm almost sure it's related to the faulty webcam.

  • No bluetooth but specs say that C50D-A satellite has bluetooth

Hi, I checked the specs for my model of laptop (PSCFWA-03J00K), and it is clearly said that it should have bluetooth

I am running Windows 8.1 and when I go in the settings of your laptop, it has no option to activate bluetooth. It is not found under mode air etc.. It seems there being none in bluetooth devices. I went into the service and searched anything w/bluetooth. I found Bluetooth Support Services and tried to turn it on and set to automatic: no difference.

I tried to install several drivers... Bluetooth Toshiba downloads. They seem to settle down, but no confirmation or error or something different in devices, after I install them.

Please can someone confirm that this model should have bluetooth and if so what I can try to make it work. I tried a lot already and at this point I think it has not itself - which is different from what the specs say... or its defective. I looked at all the apps from Toshiba and they don't seem to have any mention of bluetooth on the computer either...

    Appreciate any help.

Laptop settings > PCs and devices > Bluetoth...

When I want to use BT on my S50 Satellite - B to go to the search option and put blu so that the first search option is Bluetooth settings. Check it please on your machine.

Open and you will be directly in the management of BT where you can activate the BT on your machine.

  • Extension memory for laptop Satellite 1110-Z15

    Hello

I would like to upgrade the memory of my laptop Satellite 1110-Z15 and tried to find a list of approved toshiba memory manufacturers, with no luck.

Anyone know of any manufacturers approved for computers laptop toshiba because I can't find the type of memory required on the site of components electronic toshiba?

    Thank you

    Sorbet

    Hello sorbet

I found the information that your laptop can handle with 512 MB max. I guess that your device already has 256 MB. You can use the second 256 MB module and put it in a second slot.

Part number for the module memory of 256 MB is PA3127U - 1. 25 M.

    Good bye

  • Problem of backlight of screen on my laptop satellite

Bought a Toshiba laptop in September last year (2008). 5 months ago, display of the laptop started a failure, it is the backlight. Backlight fixed under warranty, reportedly has been replaced by a new one, any good, I'm happy!

So now the same problem has started to happen again. But now I'm 2 months out of warranty and will have to pay to solve this problem. I called Toshiba, but nobody wants to help this customer.

I'm really disappointed, because I have to pay for something that should be fixed correctly 5 months when it was under warranty! And I have one more more 3 months warranty... kind of dejavu 5 months, except that this time I pay.

If this laptop worked for 3-4 years, so it's normal to have these problems, but this laptop has been used for a year and 2 months.

What bad luck! Particularly in this bad economic time :(

    Hello

Oh, that s not good news... :(

Have you already contacted the authorized provider that did fix your laptop? Perhaps the ASP can offer a good solution for this problem as a repair as gesture of goodwill or reduced repair costs.

I can understand that it's embarrassing, but these things can happen. Nobody is perfect and parts from a laptop computer can become faulty after a few months or only after a few years because they are electrical parts. ;)

In any case, just contact the ASP again and I think that the ASP will be a good solution for this.

    Good luck!

  • Update of RAM on my laptop Satellite M30X

    Hello

Can someone tell me what RAM (name and number, etc.) I need to buy to upgrade my laptop (Satellite M30X) to make it work faster? I have 512 MB of RAM right now and it is not enough. I thought about 1 or 2 GB of RAM but is there a limit on the amount of ram I can install on my computer?

I have no idea how to replace RAM or how many slots my computer has the RAM. Can someone tell me who also?

Hope someone is able to answer all my questions. Thank you.

    Mie779

    Hello

According to the specifications of the laptop your laptop model has two memory slots and can manage with 2 GB RAM max. So if you want to use the maximum RAM, you must use 2 x 1 GB RAM module. The compatible part number PA3313U-1M1G.

If you have any other questions please post again.

    Good bye

    Hello, I had this problem:

my friend bought new Qosmio for games... and the problem is with the graphics card Nvidia GT 360 M
graphics card says this: display driver stopped responding and recovered... the screen flashes twice and its ok.
its when I start windows (windows 7 HP 64 bit) or when I click in the Device Manager on the graphics card, on Internet when I surf... ordinary work, anything heavy for laptop as this :-)
I changed my driver - standard uninstaller, then clean the pc with cc cleaner and install new drivers
error still persists to say that...

I tried the drivers nvidia and support toshiba official. the same two. problem remained.

    can anyone help?

    Hello

To be honest, it is one of the most annoying problem in this forum. You can find many threads dedicated to, display driver stopped responding and has recovered, problem. There is no good solution for it. I solved this problem by installing a driver from nvidia.com site viewing, but I Gt 230 m. Don't know if this can help you too...

  • Pavilion 6154ea: Radeon display error - display driver stopped responding and has recovered

Received a UN expected error in the web search, actully screen off for a few seconds before receiving an error on the display driver stopped responding and recovery.

Took a glance in the peripheral section where the 2nd adapter displays without any sign of error.

After recently installing a new SDS moving from the HARD drive, reinstall windows 7 etc via the updates and the order to make recovery disc the laptop because I used receive a blue screen error frequently, so that the display driver does not not error occasionally when using the design programs.  Therefore assumed, needed a new HDD/SSD and factory restore.

-Laptop computer has been cleaned withdrawal because keyboard, frame etc. with solvents as a cleaner. Therefore cannot be over heating the fan works hard to due and SSD.

-Power supply has been connected to the time

N ' was not overclocked as it is when using disk HARD aswell

It wasn't until today where it happened again, without the blue screen though. So decided I would look at him and realized it is a common problem with the ATI drivers, when I assumed it was a HARD drive failure all along.

This time the screen turned off for a few seconds, more then previously which is a little disturbing. Was only using a search engine with no program in the background. Infact havn't got round to reinstall files and software so the laptop is very clean and basic and works so don't know why I feel this fast.

Need to know your opinion on this please, may not know... (Radeon HD 6490M)

    Hi @skibbles,

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question in the subject of your HP Pavilion dv7-6154ea Entertainment Notebook and problems with the display driver stopped responding. I recommend to restore the default BIOS settings. You could restore the BIOS with this document by selecting the reload the default BIOS settings. This resets the hardware parameters and contributed to others.

Here is a link to test the material if you need it. It checks the pieces to see if something is a failure.

Please let me know how it goes.

    Thank you.

  • I am a message error display driver stopped responding and has recovered what should I do to fix this?

I have OS windows 7 and my computer model compaq laptop presario CQ60... can you tell me the link from where I get this update drivers?

    Hello

What you see is called the TDR (time display and recovery) process in action.

This component is designed to prevent damage to the computer when the video device is nearby to crash the system. In earlier versions of windows when the display device ran out of resources throughout the system would stop responding, requiring a hard reboot to recover.

In Windows 7, if the display device is not responding, the system will try to stop and restart the device to recover.

More information on this feature can be found here (Advanced): http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/hardware/gg487368.aspx (written for Vista, but also applies to Windows 7)

The most common reason for this problem is that the display device is overloaded or used beyond its capabilities.

When this situation occurs, windows tries to recover by restarting the display device. If she can't get it back, you will see the blue screen.

This happens more often when you play graphics intensive, but can occur with any process that uses a large amount of graphic resources, for example, when editing or creating videos.

What you can do to avoid these problems:

Make sure that you use the latest graphics device driver.

Manage your work time with programs that are graphic-intensive, quit other programs that might also use a large amount of resources.
