Problem of backlight of screen on my laptop satellite

Bought a Toshiba laptop in September last year (2008). 5 months ago, display of the laptop started a failure, it is the backlight. Backlight fixed under warranty, reportedly has been replaced by a new one, any good, I'm happy!

So now the same problem has started to happen again. But now I'm 2 months out of warranty and will have to pay to solve this problem. I called Toshiba, but nobody wants to help this customer.

I'm really disappointed, because I have to pay for something that should be fixed correctly 5 months when it was under warranty! And I have one more more 3 months warranty... kind of dejavu 5 months, except that this time I pay.

If this laptop worked for 3-4 years, so it's normal to have these problems, but this laptop has been used for a year and 2 months.

What bad luck! Particularly in this bad economic time :(

Hello

Oh, that s not good news... :(

Have you already contacted the authorized provider that did fix your laptop? Perhaps the ASP can offer a good solution for this problem as a repair as gesture of goodwill or reduced repair costs.

I can understand that it's embarrassing, but these things can happen. Nobody is perfect and parts from a laptop computer can become faulty after a few months or only after a few years because they are electrical parts. ;)

In any case, just contact the ASP again and I think that the ASP will be a good solution for this.

Good luck!

I don't have this option on my screen. I have HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI 4.3.3.0. It shows different choices, but neither of you people. The PC was purchased from 01.october.2013.

I tested with a HDMI display and it works OK.

    Ok.

Is it important if you use the graphics card performance?

Install the latest version of the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.   There the available diagnostic test.

Based on what you reported, it ceratinly looks like the portion of the display LED backlit is a failure. This part can be purchased separately

I guess that the spectrum is no longer in warranty, based on "The PC was bought 01.october.2013.". Is this correct?

Replacing the LED backlit screen, that's what will solve the problem. There is no converter in a backlit led display

If you feel uncomfortable with do it yourself you will save a little. The price range is very broad since it is a touch screen and the high-end model. You need to open the HP Support Assistant or the BIOS to find the full product number.  You will need to know what screen is installed before ordering the part.

    Hi all

No one knows how to stop the Intel graphics driver to try to improve my colours on the screen?

I have a Spyder3 Pro and it seems to have graphics drivers interfere with it.

all I want is for Spyder3 choose my windows color profile, NOT Intel.

    SPEC:

    Hello

I've never heard of Spyder3 Pro, but in my opinion this has nothing to do with Toshiba. In your case I contact the manufacture of the Spyder3 Pro software and ask how to choose the right color profile of Windows for this program.

    Hello

In this case, you must contact the service partner for details.

  • Problems of backlight T400

Hey guys, this is my first post on the forums, and I want to you guys for help.  I have a t400 I ordered probably around August 2009, and he had problems with backlight since November of the same year.  As I was busy on an exceptional basis and am exceptionally lazy, I never move to use the warranty, so I was stuck with a laptop with backlight sorta worked, but it's strange.  In fact, I would say that the problem is almost identical to those described in this thread, and more precisely on this photo (not posted by me, but me has the same appearance).

    http://forums.Lenovo.com/T5/T400-T500-and-newer-T-series/led-backlight-problems/m-p/258207

    http://img340.imageshack.us/img340/6695/backlight.jpg

Basically, the dark spots are where the backlight just simply does not work.  I removed the bezel and replaced the sub (thought I would need an inverter, but surprised to find that it is a LED screen), but the same problems.  What do you think guys?  Is it, as has suggested, the motherboard?  As it's going to be a huge pain to get fixed :/

Is there anything else I can do to avoid the other stuff first, which could be cheaper / more common?  One last thing, is that I always noticed that the rear case (i.e. the back of the cover) has always been a little convex and slightly distorted a bit, and initially (as when the laptop first showed this problem) it could be fixed by simple bending the screen a little and moving a bit.  I tested today again, and some parts dark screen can be fixed by pressing right on the LCD itself (when the frame is removed), so I feel as if it was a connection problem, rather than the broken hardware or something.

    Thanks in advance

resembling backlight of the LCD that has a problem, a couple of the LED is out or the LED backlight is moved to the LCD screen. But that would require a new LCD on a County.

I had this problem in one of my old T400, requiring a new LCD.

    Hello

I understand that it was ok with your laptop before installing Windows 7. It is so related to hardware problem software. Can you tell if it was original iso of windows 7 or the Assembly. Have you installed all the drivers for the Toshiba driver page and the maintenance of the right installation order? What burning software do use?

Have you done this procedure mentioned in this forum:

Go to Device Manager and remove the drive from the list of devices CD/DVD.
Then access the registry and delete the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters completely from the following registry key values:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

Reboot the laptop and wait for the CD/DVD drive would appear once again

  • Z50-70 screen frozen, then laptop goes off?

    Hello

So yesterday while I was working on a programming assignment and a document, the screen of my laptop froze for several seconds (about a minute) before stopping. I'm not taking breaks from the laptop for several hours (3-4 I think) and I was wondering what to do to solve this problem. I don't want to have to send it in my laptop for repair because I just bought after Christmas last year and it received during the first week of January.

    Any advice?

    Hi Auraguardian34,

    Welcome to Lenovo Community!

According to the request, we understand that you are facing problems with the system freezes.

Please try to perform the supply line by removing the external devices connected to the system, shut down the system and remove the battery, also disconnect the adapter. Now, press on and press and hold power for 30 seconds and connect the battery and the adapter and try turning on the system.

Also try to connect to sockets different and check if the system powers on.

Try also with different adapter and different batteries if possible. As you mentioned that the system stops is the system hot and close.

I hope this helps. Post back if the problem persists!

    Best regards

  • Go off & on several times before the monitor turns on. Comp seems to start OK but the problem is with the screen.

Original title: XP start help please...

... are to be turned off & on several times before monitor lights. Comp seems to start OK but the problem is with the screen. Do I have to make a boot disk & if so - HOW?

    Hello

    ·         What is the brand and model of the computer?

    ·         You get the error message?

    ·         Did you check the connection of the cable to the monitor?

    ·         Have you tried to update to the latest graphics card and motherboard chipset drivers?

First, try to connect your monitor to a well known PC, maybe the old laptop that you use now. If the monitor works, the problem is with the video card in your PC. If the monitor does not light, the monitor. It is usually cheaper to buy a new monitor that in order to be an old repaired, unless the monitor is still under warranty.

Try connecting a monitor well known to your PC. If the monitor works, your old monitor is fried and needs to be replaced.

If your monitor works when connected to another PC, the problem could be your video card. First, and then you turn on your PC, the power and cooling case fans run they. If they do not, it could be the power supply.

Then, open the computer case. Before you do anything inside, unplug the power supply.

IMPORTANT! Touch any metal part of the computer case to connect to the PC. A single static spark can destroy computer circuits.

If the video card is the type of card that plugs into a slot on the motherboard, remove the screws or attached at the top of the card, remove the card, to manipulate the card by the edges to avoid disturbing the circuits on the card, carefully and re - install the card. Sometimes simply reinstalling the card corrects the problem.

If this does not work, replace the video card with a card of similar type. Perhaps now is the right time for an update of video card.

If the video card is integrated into the motherboard, you can install a new card in one of the PCI slots on the motherboard. When the PC starts for the first time, go into the bios and disable the onboard video.
