  • Have W2071d monitor, display settings do not allow non-native resolution matrices

'' Recommended '' this monitor width setting is 1600 X 900, but when I go to the "Display" dialog box, the only options available to me are that were available using my old monitor.

The monitor "selected" for common use (under "Advanced"-> tab monitor in the "Display settings" dialog box) is dangerously just labeled "Default monitor", and while the system produces to the monitor, it only does these original native resolutions, so that, under factory settings, the image is stretched horizontally to a significant degree, and when I put it to adapt to the proportions rather He's a little blur hired on small fonts/texts during the largest possible display setting, almost as if I ask it to produce makes me superior to output 1-to-1 ratio of pixels and the entire surface of the monitor is not being used anyway.

In any case, the button/dialog box 'Properties' is not yet available on the tab 'monitor' breast, so I can't try to update the driver. I don't really know what to do at this point. In addition, the computer now tells me whenever I start that he detected new hardware connected, but it may not recognise, does not support installation at home, but whenever I try to point it to the drivers it tells me that the file contain no information about my hardware device.

VGASave is the 'default' for Windows XP driver if there is no other driver available for the system. It is possible that some sort of error, or maybe an automatically Windows Update installed, breaking your graphics card driver. I would certainly try reinstall the driver as a first step of troubleshooting.

  • Satellite Pro L300: How to change the display settings

Hi I have a toshiba satellite pro l300 run a pentium dual core and intel 965 display chip any games I play on my laptop, they open in a small box and not full screen I've had a quick glance at the settings to try to resolve this with no luck.

Can someone tell me if there is a way to change the settings to get the games to play in full screen, my current display settings are 1280 x 800 pixels and running at 32-bit color.

    Any help would be appreciated.

You should set this option to full screen in the games you play. Checked for these options, because you are given something like graphics, solution details and in most cases should be windowed.

One thing you might try is to uninstall your current display drivers, and then reinstall new ones. Make sure that you use tools like ccleaner cleaning record or similar.
Check if you have installed all the latest updates of windows and directx version, if you are using Windows XP.

  • Does anyone can help with the display settings on Satellite 4070?

My brother gave me his old laptop, a Satellite 4070, I wrongly thought was of Wi - Fi enabled and it is connected to my library with poor results.
The display settings are gone and continue to go haywire and display a message saying:
There is a problem with your display settings, the adapter type is incorrect, or the current configuration does not work with your hardware.

I tried to change the display settings but they go back - anyone got any ideas on that?
I know there is a product recovery CD, but naturally enough I don't have that either.
    Thank you

    Hello

I m not exactly on this fault, but it seems there must be something wrong with the graphics driver and display settings.
That's why I recommend you first remove the old driver and after restarting again try to install the graphics driver from the Toshiba driver page.

I think you are using the Win98. Am I wrong?
Then visit Toshiba, download the Trident display driver and install it!

Good luck and have a nice day ;)

  • my display settings keep returning on 2 screens at startup to the top

I have attached a second monitor to my Sony laptop.  The 2d display monitor used to iterate through a docking station Kensington DisplayLink.  For some reason, the docking station picks up is no longer display for the #2--si monitor I recently started to connect the monitor directly #2 on my laptop.  Now every time I disconnect the monitor #2 to try to use the laptop with the Moose #1 display attached - after startup, it comes in white.  I discovered the Dungeon of display settings back to the #2 monitor, as the main display with the office displays only on the monitor #2 - it's why my laptop screen is blank - unless I'm reconnect the 2d display whenever I start.  But it is not practical and the net effect is that until this has been resolved I can't use my laptop away from my office.  I keep resettingt the display settings in the control panel to a single monitor, but it keeps going back to 2.  What is the solution?

    Hi, Msnsurf101,

Check your settings in the Bios

Procedures vary depending on the manufacturer of the BIOS. Usually, you must press a key (for example, F2, F12, DEL, ESC) or a key combination whenever you turn on your computer but before Windows starts. For more information, see the documentation provided with your computer or go to the website of the manufacturer of the computer.

    Warning

Be careful when you change the BIOS settings. The BIOS interface is designed for advanced users, and it is possible to change a setting that can prevent your computer from starting properly.

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I read your thread on your Windows 7 and display rotated 270 degrees. Here is a solution from a third party site. Turn on your computer and wait for the Windows platform to load.
Right-click on the desktop with icons part less. On the shortcut menu that appears, click on "Properties". Another pop-up window containing various tabs will appear on your screen. Select the 'Settings' tab, and then locate the button marked "Advanced." Go to "Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver" and then proceed to "graphics properties." Select 'rotation' and choose 'enable rotation '. Click on 'apply' first and then click on 'OK '.
This will bring you to the desktop. Hold down the ALT key (usually positioned to the right or to the left of the space bar and Ctrl key (found under the shift keys) and press the right arrow key.) This will flip your screen to the right by 90 degrees.
Hold the Alt key, the CTRL key, then press the down arrow key to turn the display upside down from 180 degrees.
Hold down ALT, CTRL key, and then press the left arrow key to move the screen to the left of 270 degrees.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you.

  • Windows display settings are not optimized

I tried to fix it and he said that the display settings are not optimized that means

    Hello

    This fixit?

Have you tried to make the resolution equal to the native resolution of your screen?

Right-click on an empty part of your desktop, and then click Properties. Click on the settings tab, drag the slider to the right. This should give the native resolution of your monitor. If not you may need to get the latest drivers for the graphics card.

If that makes things too small, you can try to slide to the left to get a lower resolution but I suggest using only a resolution that maintains the same ratio as the native resolution of your screen.

    Tricky

To restore it, click Start-> settings-> Control Panel-> display-> theme-> select Windows XP or classic Windows (as you wish). Click on apply. Now, click on the settings tab and you can change the size of your screen by using the slider to the resolution of the screen.

    I hope this helps.
