Display the font vs. font substitution original document

Everything was very good. Then a pop-up Adobe came one day and asked me to set up preferences and I clicked on a bunch of stuff. Now the font that appears on the screen is something other than the font used in the original document, and it is a boring font I can't cope.

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC made this substitution of fonts even across all documents, regardless of the original font. And it drives me crazy!

How to change this back to the display of the fonts exactly as in the document itself?

Thank you very much!

OK I actually found my answer just after I posted this.

In Adobe Acrobat Reader DC under change, click Preferences.

Under rendering: smooth text, select monitor.

This corrects the problem of font substitution.

Phew! I hope this helps someone!

    Does anyone have a solution to this? I have the indd file in the same folder as the folder of fonts in the document.

    Thank you!!

    The dfonts will never work on Windows, and I suspect that other policies can also be Mac unusable uan format on your system. You can check that by checking the size of the file. Fonts Mac will show 0kb.

    The fonts in the Document must be in the same folder as the .indd file, but if the fonts it contains are not compatible, it won't matter.

    You can not, certainly not with the reader. Even the full version of Acrobat cannot do this directly. PDF files should never be edited in a way.

  • Questions of the font substitution during the creation of the PS file in Distiller PDF

    I don't know if this post should go under Distiller Server, but he doesn't know if there is a difference between X Distiller and Distiller Server.

    Context: I'm trying to convert postscript on my PC files that come from a single Mac built the program and unfortunately receive the following error message:

    %% [Warning: Helvetica not found, using Font Substitution.] Police cannot be incorporated. ]%%
    %% [Warning: Helvetica-Bold not found, using Font Substitution.] Police cannot be incorporated. ]%%
    %% [Warning: Helvetica-BoldOblique not found, using Font Substitution.] Police cannot be incorporated. ]%%

    When I try to convert postscript fonts to PDF in Acrobat Distiller X substitutes in the Arial font. I have a few versions of Helvetica on my PC but Distiller does not recognize them.

    My question is: How can I know distill, by default, to substitute for Helvetica loaded on my PC rather than Arial so that I have eliminated the error message and get specific pdf.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    You can use the files in distiller by going to settings.  See these two photos (click on it)

  • Display the fonts in Photoshop (menus, tools, etc.)

    I searched for two days for a way to increase the font size of the display in CS4 (WIndows 7). In the process, I found that the same problem exists in Cs5 I using a 21 "monitor in its native resolution and would go blind, trying to see the menus and tools.

    2. If it is not possible, I must say that I find Adobe programmers incredibly Miss sensitivity: not everyone has eyes they had 17

    It is an often repeated request, and the answer is no. At the present time there is no way to increase the size of the front.

    Best you can do is send a feature request form.  If enough people submit the same request, could be acted upon.

  • display the fonts in the keyboard Viewer?

    . Once upon a time, Mac, you could show the keyboard Viewer, select a font and the keyboard icon would show characters or glyphs, say, Zapf dingbats, the keyboard scheme. Adding shift would chow additional characters. This seems to be gone in the Mavericks. All I want to do is find which keyboard key generates an icon of the right hand in a selected font. How do I do that? [Question 2: what happened to the ease of use in my Mac?]

    To make the dingbats and other symbols, you must use the character Viewer (Edit > Emoji & symbols).  Extend version complete, go to the gear wheel, select Customize and check the boxes of Unicode and other categories.  At the entrance to double click or drag and drop to the central region.

    OS X is a Unicode system, which means that old dingbat inherited from similar policies that replace the Latin characters with symbols normally don't work no and exit U.S. keyboard means in Latin all fonts.  It is perhaps not as convenient, but it does not guarantee that everyone sees the same characters without having to worry about what the police, they have active for the moment.

    1. initially when the page loads, it should not show any grey box, but by default, I am able to see gray box as shown below, after span style color applied as stated in point #2.

    2. the logic used in the page loading process

    1. BEGIN

    14. owa_util. REDIRECT_URL ('f? p = & APP_ID.: 1:NO:1:G_ERROR_MSG: this record has been deleted.');
    15. END;

    3. when I used this thread in that they mentioned a point, I'm not clear on this, could you help me what to apply to the condition "subordinate this process to"g_error_msg", with a value non-zero.

    Create this process before Header on the page referenced in the URL by email:

    begin

      if :p1_display_eid is not null
      then
        select modified_date
        into :p1_modified_date
        from test
        where id = :p1_display_eid;
      end if;

    exception

      when no_data_found
      then
          apex_util.redirect_url('f?p=&APP_ID.:1:::NO:1:G_ERROR_MSG:This record is deleted.');

    end;

    And having this as a process before Header on the redirect page, a point value / Expression 1 Is NOT NULL column condition with Expression 1 on G_ERROR_MSG:

    apex_application.g_notification := '' || :g_error_msg || '';
    :g_error_msg := null;

    Probably, you should also include a value of specific request in the e-mail links so that their external origin are easily recognizable in the conditional processing and branching.

  • The 37 of Firefox for ownwards does not display the fonts correctly and we tried a lot of things but no help

    I have searched a lot on this problem and have made a lot of things about: config and even he had refreshed and clean installed from scratch, but I can't solve the problem happens on a specific style of police and I don't know how to solve this problem at the time where to search about: config I am sorry to say I don't remember really , but I changed something that has eliminated the problem, but some sites have begun to show another problem, the text was not at all like on soundcloud, time has shown during playback of the track on the image of the sound wave has been hiding this is just an example, although I have my firefox restored and refreshed several times even made a new clean install , but not helped so I like to help with this problem embarrassing, I would really go to any new browser just because of this problem

    Try resetting the zoom of page on pages that are causing problems.

    • View > Zoom > reset (Ctrl / command + 0 (zero))

    You can remove possible user.js and numbered prefs-# .js files and rename (or delete) the file prefs.js to reset all the prefs by default, including the prefs set via user.js and pref which is no longer supported in the current version of Firefox.

    You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

    Windows hides certain default file extensions.
    Among them .html and .ini and .js and .txt and you might see only a file name without file extension.
    You can check the file extension (type) in the file properties in Windows Explorer via the context menu.

  • I want to change the fonts, but didn't get the message 'no police system available.

    I am trying to edit a PDF pamphlet created by another party.  Using Acrobat Pro Mac OSX.  I select "edit the text of the document" and then try to remove or change the text and get the message. "all or part of the selection has no available system fonts, you can add or remove text using the selected font.

    I don't see any bar of another way to change the font or font format.

    Is there a way to work this?

    More to 'Acrobat answers' Karl Kremer of the AUC has answered a similar question.
    He wrote in part:

    "I assume that you want to change the content of a PDF file, and you can't do it because you do not have the installed font that is used in this file. That's how Acrobat: you must have the font in your document installed on your local computer in order to make changes to the text that uses this font. There is no way around that. You will need to know what font is used for the text that you need to edit and then acquire this font (and that usually means buy this policy, unless you are subscribed to for example CC and this policy are available through TypeKit).

    Another option is to select all the text and replace this text with a different but similar font. Again, you can only use a font available on your computer as target police. But once you've done that, you should be able to edit your document.

    You change the font by selecting tools > content edition > Text Edit & Images, and then you select the text you want to change, and your police target. »
