• A frustrating problem that I have PSD files imported in ID CS3

  I do some layouts for ads for magazines, and I had a frustrating problem with Photoshop and InDesign CS3 for a long time. Basically I want to drag PSD files we already have for our products in my layout and use them as-is, but when I do, they appear as ugly things scrambled in my InDesign CS3 layout, no matter what happens. The solution is for me to load the PSD, copy the contents, make a new file, paste the contents of the last another file, and then save it as a new file PSD - things will work fine. But it is a big pain in the ass, and I want to correct the problem and remove this step.

  Basically, the image on the left shows the distorted image that slipped in the layout. But maybe it's just a normal PSD, single layer, saved with some incompatibilities as not saved in 'compatibility mode' or saving with a color of attached file. The right picture shows the good image that I manually re-recorded and imported.

• Starting Dell U2713HM resolution problem

• DisplayPort Alienware 15 problem

  I just had time to connect my 15 AW at my monitor and found that the DisplayPort is not working properly.  Connected via DisplayPort to mini-DisplayPort, the laptop screen falls to resolution 1024 x 768 and nothing appears on the monitor (ASUS VG248QE).  The control panel display reports that the monitor is connected.  Once I unplug the cable, the computer screen back to 1920 x 1080.

  Strangely, if I use one-adapter mini DisplayPort to HDMI, two screens work very well.  I even tried the mini-DP DP on my Mac and it works fine on the same monitor.

  Any ideas?  I tried to reinstall the drivers of Intel.

  I tried one more thing.  I tried to force install the latest drivers from the Intel site which requires that you uninstall the version of Dell.  After uninstalling, I rebooted and Windows automatically later installed himself.  So, I plugged in and it works.  I am able to use 144 Hz, as well.

  I think that it is out of the manufacturer's specifications. Lets hope the replacement is better.

• frustrating problem with a dat/time field

  I'm pretty new to this tool (LiveCycle) - once more to try to modify/create a pdf form on very simple writing

  I inserted 2 fields of date time. I have a correctly configured automatically insert the current time, when the form is opened so the user does not have to do... ;

  I have the date field load properly, but for the life of me cannot get the time to display at all.  I tried:

  1 Add a new date/time field

  2 duplicate one that works and just change the format of 'Time '.

  3 tried to remove them both and then create again.

  I discovered by removing both and starting, as I can get the date to appear in these two areas, but I can't do anything else to appear.  I can not get the time to appear in each area. !!

  Frustrated: Somebody can tell me what I'm doing wrong here...

  The time field was still date in script functions, although you use a time model (in the object > field > models).

• Return of the frustrating problem of e-mail with blackBerry Smartphones

  After having my BB still reset my TI guy, I brought it home to install a few programs (box letters BES and some games).  When I plugged the device on my computer after starting dm (version 4.2) I was encouraged because it did not sync things that she had done in the past.  I installed the software and voila, I get the nice email telling me that I am no longer connected to the BES.  I tried to remove the battery for a minute or so, but not joy.  Exploring further, I noticed that under options > advanced options > Enterprise activation that my e-mail address is missing.  I had this thing reset every day this week, I can't figure out what I could do wrong.  Any ideas?

  Just uninstall dtm of add/remove programs and then reinstall it on the cd delivered with BB, and during the installation, choose BIS as an installation option.

• problems with calendar

  I'm having a frustrating problem with calendar projects. When the project is exported to another preview of pdf or simply buy, the months at the bottom of the page text appears as very low. There is no way to change the font size at all stages of the project. I had this same problem in November

  and got about it fly by the whole project and 4 hours of work and starting over. He then worked and I thought the problem was a corrupted file on my end.however that I have invested a whole day to do this project on two different Macs with the same result. any help or ideas would be appreciated

  First of all, as a test pictures of launch with down option and create a new test library.  Import photos and a test to see if the same problem persists. T it? If this is not the problem is limited to your library so try to repair the library according to the instructions in this document from Apple: Repair Your Library.

  Warning: If you use iCloud photo library with Photos, this operation will lead to Photos to upload all your pictures again (of difficulty missing or incorrect thumbnails in photo - Apple Support).

  If that doesn't solve the problem user jdelisle posted a fix for the same problem in iPhoto.  Don't know if it applies to Photos, however.

  I ran into the same problem - my iPhoto calendar month text was small for a reason, and I couldn't change it to a larger font size. I decided to take a look at the way iPhoto stores project data and discovered that it is a simple SQLite table.

  Here is a fix, guaranteed to work.  We will open your iPhoto projects database and edit the details of the police directly by hand, because there is no way to fix this in iPhoto (Apple, correct this bug...)

  This seems much more difficult that it is what is serious effort of 10 minutes.

  1. Get SQLite Browser http://sqlitebrowser.sourceforge.net/
  2. Quit iPhoto and launch the browser of SQLite
  3. Open a new finder window and open the pictures folder located in your home directory
  4. You should see a section in your folder of photos called "iPhoto Library".  Right click and choose "Show Package Contents" because we need to edit a file inside the library
  5. Search for "Projects.db."  Right click and choose "Duplicate" to make a backup in case something goes wrong
  6. Drag and drop the "Projects.db" in the application being SQLite Browser
  7. Click on the button "browse data".
  8. Select the 'KHProject' in the menu dropdown "Tables".
  9. You will see a list of your iPhoto projects.  Locate your calendar project by browsing this list and especially the values in the column 'name '.  When you have found your calendar project, take note of the number in the column 'modelID '.
  10. Change to the "KHProjectTextStyle" table using the drop "Tables".
  11. Locate a line in the table "KHProjectTextStyle", where the number in the column matches 'projectID' 'modelID' you noted in step 9, and where the value "IdentificateurStyle" is "Photo-calendrier-CalendarMonth.
  12. On the line drawn in step 11, look at the value of the column "fontSize".  For my broken calendar, he was "6".  It's much too small, that you can barely read 6 points.
  13. Double-click the "fontSize" value (for me, I double-clicked the value '6')
  14. Replace the '6' '54.  Do not press on enter, just change the '6' '54"and click the button"Apply Changes ".
  15. You're done! Simply click on the disc icon in the browser of SQLite to save your changes (or file-> save)
  16. Open iPhoto and enjoy your calendar fixed

  Hope that helps some of you, this worked 100% for me on several projects of calendar.  If you see not the font size change, make sure that you have identified the correct project in step 8 and make sure you change the "fontSize" for this project, on the line where the value "IdentificateurStyle" is "Photo-calendrier-CalendarMonth.

  If something was terribly wrong, you did a backup in step 5 (right?) and just delete the "Projects.db" you have edited and rename "Projects.db" of the backup.  You can then try again, or not.

  I send my calendars to print this week and will see if there are any questions.  I don't anticipate any problems.

  Don't forget to back up your library before you try the hack of the database file.

  I use a HP Probook s 4320 and just reinstalled Windows 7, as well as all pilots & assistant wireless etc.

  At home, I have a broadband thanks Talk Talk (UK), through a router D Link N ADSL2 +, who works currently with no problem on a number other devices, laptop (Win Vista) Samsung, PS3, iPhone etc.

  I've used the wifi on the laptop with no problems.

  After reinstalling and coming to set up my wifi network, it recognizes my network and many others around me, I choose mine & try to enter my passowrd - unauthorized, then press the button on the router & go through it - everything seems to work ok.

  After you connect to the internet for about 10 minutes, the connection drops and when I click the icon at the bottom of the taskbar wireless, my network is displayed at the bottom of the list with a red X next to it and I can not connect.

  When I try, it says: -.

  'The settings saved on this computer for the network do not match the requirements of the network.

  When I right click on the wireless icon and select '' problems of disorder shoot, '' he says: -.

  "Check your wireless security type.

  I can connect to the internet without any problem using the wired connection through the router.

  When I go to security settings, they are:-

  -WPA2-Personal security type

  -Type of AES encryption

  Network - correctly-entered security key

  What model of wireless card you have (make and model)?

  There must be a newer there than in 2009 driver.

  It's probably the main issue.

  After you let me know that you install the updated driver, delete the network connection and it restore from scratch.

• Satellite P15-8409, Atheros wireless network adapter problem

  Hello. I'm having a frustrating problem with an old laptop Satellite P15. I restored the phone to default settings using the recovery disk that the system was working very badly. After that, the wireless network adapter has stopped working. In the Device Manager "Atheros AR5001X + Wireless Network Adapter" is marked with a yellow exclamation point.   BIOS version is installed on your machine? And you have you recently changed some hardware etc...?

  I don't know what it could be, but in the worst cases, the wlan card has certain shortcomings. You can check this by getting somewhere such an atheros wlan card or intel and install it instead of the one installed.

  Maybe the exchange of cards should solve this problem?

  I bought a HP Pavilion p6210y PC November 1, 2009;  and also, just bought a new monitor 30 inches of HP ZR30w which displays 2560 x 1600 (4 megapixels). To use it, I have to buy a new video card in 2560 x 1600 PCIe 2.0 x 16 DisplayPort. No problem, there are many like that high-end gaming cards. However, I am not a "Gamer" and do not need the performance beyond its high-end business use, a few Blue-ray movies and occasional sports coverage. This need corresponds to the remaining available power of 300 watts of p6210y power supply.

  I have set up a 'power budget' for the new disks and memory that I bought, which gives me a power rating of base to work since I sail PCIe 2.0 x 16 DisplayPort video cards. However, I was not able to locate an estimate of drain of power for the "configuration of the showroom" Pavilion p6210y PC base that I bought in 2009. Can someone help me find this number, or show me how to estimate it? I need just an approximate number to work with.

  I do not have the number of the power you want, but we have here on the forum use the power required by the manufacturer.  Here is a video card that should work on your computer:

  However, it requires a power supply (PSU) with 350W.  You can find this information in the specifications tab.

  Many newer cards need UEFI instead of a standard BIOS.  These cards will not work in your computer.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.

• Problem Touchpad on Satellite P750 - 02L

  Hi guys, so I have a P750 satellite, according to me, it's a year old just on sound now and since it last a few weeks the touchpad began to play up.

  Whenever I turn on the laptop for the first 5-10 minutes the Mouse touchpad refuses to do what his.
  Half left of the key is completely insensitive and the right side you move your finger to point the mouse and it just goes wherever he likes, he's not going no where I try so that it points.

  Also during his this operation, it is quite often the resizing thing, how you drag it with 2 fingers to zoom. It is a very frustrating problem. I have not fiddled with the settings, I did a reboot of the system back to factory settings, still no luck.

  On a side note, my media keys at the top of the keyboard is no longer light up or make a beep when I press on them.

  This isn't a big deal, but I liked it when they were still on and beeps when you press on, any help on this issue would be appreciated but not necessary. I just my mouse working again :(

  so to sum up the Mouse touchpad refuses to answer correctly for the first 5 to 10 minutes of power upward until it works perfectly normal again.

  What does that mean? Did you use the recovery option? Otherwise, try to get the laptop back to factory settings
