  I listen a lot to streaming radio from across the country. If playing on the radio that the screen saver turns on, it sends the audio in a very distorted sound or if I get a tube video and bring it to audio full screen past at warp. Its still good if I keep the video to the harder to see mode. What should I do to correct this. I didn't have this problem with XP.

• Media Player 12 some CD Skip/distortion sound, will not tear.

  I use Windows 7 Home Premium on a laptop relatively new, fully updated as we speak.

  I'll have to re - rip my music collection and a few CDs play with heavy distortion & jump, also stick to 20% by tearing. I tried on another Win 7 HP PC with Media Player 12 and they are fine. The CDs are in very good condition.

  So far, I have tried

  1. problems and solutions (did not detect anything)

  2 disable/re-enabling Media Player

  3 reinstall Media Player.

  None of them have worked. The same CD experience the problem.

  Is this a known issue with the current version of Media Player 12? I don't think it would be the drive itself as most of my CDs ripped fine.

  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

• HP laptop - 15-ac131nv: distortion sound/buzz

  I have problems with my speakers. Whenever I have play anything the sound is distorted and there's a little buzz, as if the frequencies/sounds are too much for the speakers to manage. It happens even on system sounds. It started to happen about a week to 10 days, and I think it was once a substantial package of updates installed Windows. I also feel (although I can't be sure) that this does not happen directly when I turn on the computer and play something, but if I play something and then get a sound system or a sound from another source, that's when the distortion occurs. If I plug in my headphones the sound is great and there is no problem.

  All my drivers are up to date, I manually installed the last two days ago, but that does not solve the problem. I also made sure the sound levels (audio output) are not too high.  Any ideas would be much appreciated, because it becomes very annoying and I'm beginning to wonder if the speakers are somewhat damaged. There just 2 months I bought this computer, so it's quite upsetting.

  I have a harman / kardon nb520-108 (I hope I have the right forum!) and when I maximize the screen on youtube or iplayer say I get a sound distortion.

  I read somewhere that the bios needs an update but I need confirmation of this if it's like the side effect is that it means an installation of the sound system.

  Any ideas what this could be?

  Since the update of OS X El Capitan (10.11.3), my Zoom H2 microphone is delayed, accelerated and oddly distorted. I tried with several different programs (GarageBand ScreenFlow, QuickTime,...) and even in the preferences system-> sound-> tab Input, the Soundbar is delayed and act weird. I also tried with several different cable - still the same. But when I tried the same thing using my iMac mothers who currently 10.9, according to me, everything seems to work fine.   I can not believe this happen on the first day, especially if the laptop is preinstalled with recovery image Toshiba (factory settings), but I guess it has something to do with the additional software installed.

  I recently had this problem with my laptop Windows XP (service pack 2 is). The sound from my headphones sounds quiet, almost as if the noise comes from far away and a little distorted. I had this problem on another computer and unplug the headphones and plugged back in fixed, but that doesn't fix it not on this laptop. Other people had this problem I know not, but solutions that work for them do not work for me. If necessary, I can give more care retail/computer.

  Please provide us with the specifications of the computer such as the motherboard and the sound card if it is internal or external.

  When I bought my Toshiba Satellite Pro A40 my audio is not affected by loading programs and any other activities that could slow down my computer.

  I had to resinstall windows a few months back when my HD crashed.

  I reloaded all my drivers etc. and installed itunes.

  When I play music or any audio I listen to jump seriously when loading programs or when processes are performed on my computer.

  This used to be the case, I tried to change my settings from quicktime to run in safe mode, I even now deleted quicktime and itunes that I thought it was the source of the problems.

  Nothing worked, my sound is still seriously affected when my processor is busy

  I uninstalled, reinstalled my sound card drivers, but nothing has worked...

  I would really appreciate it if you have all the settings I could change to stop this problem.

  My voice through my microphone breaks a lot, so the people at the other end of a VOIP call can barely hear me... it's driving me crazy!
