  • Firefox hangs for a short second while scrolling.

Very well. I will do my best to explain this and the steps I tried in vain to resolve the issue.

Normal use (even without any addons at all) after a short time, 5-10 minutes, sometimes faster my Firefox stutters for a second, my mouse stops during stuttering and then it thaws. Once that starts happening, it happens VERY frequently, like all the other seconds, when I scroll to the top and to the bottom of a page is when it is more sensitive, the mouse cursor stops while firefox is 'frozen' and he returned after a short second.

I tried many things: I completely deleted firefox to my system, most of the registry entries, all linked files, deleted and I tried a fresh install again. That seemed to help for a second, but after a few minutes of browsing the symptoms return.

I have concluded that it is not addon for, as I began cool and does not have everything on my last attempt to reboot, that she was having the same problem with or without addons

I have tried this fix sessionstore.js, increasing the interval, disable it completely, that doesn't seem to help either.

This does not happen on Chrome, is that firefox does it. It is not even a serious if it's a website, if I scroll to the top and down on the troubleshooting page in firefox it stutters even while scrolling.

I tried everything I know to do, and I can't fix it myself. Please, if you can help I would appreciate it.

I solved this problem. The problem was my Ipod is connected to the computer. Whenever the ipod is plugged in, firefox stuttered and offbeat as indicated. I noticed when I got my ipod disconnected for a while to use another usb device, firefox has been resolved, I thought it was the update of this week to be fixed. Couple of days later, I plugged my Ipod in, the problem returned. But, since I started to load my ipod Besides, the problem disappeared. Thus, someone at - it still have this problem, check to see if you have an ipod, an iphone or another usb storage device is connected.

  • Difficulty of text input

Whenever I'm in an area of text input in Firefox mobile, it is extremely difficult to get the text that is entered correctly. Firefox "stutters", hesitating before accepting most of the characters and will usually insert a space between each of them and never only one of them as well. This forces me to go back through the entrance once I have completed and delete all added spaces. I also invariably have to retype all the 'i's, because Firefox has converted to capital I's, seeing them as independent. It is a constant problem with Firefox endless. It never goes away.

In addition, Firefox often randomly will close the window keyboard and suddenly will return to the main screen, sometimes taking on itself to press < return > keyboard in the process, usually having a bad entrance result and forcing me to laboriously start all over again.

I love Firefox on my desktop and would gladly use it on my mobile as well, but right now, the only time wherever I ever use Firefox mobile is when I make a large download, because it manages downloads better than the default Android browser. For all other uses, it is simply too awkward, with the fiasco of text entry and done a very unpleasant experience.

We have the best compatibility with the current keyboard. Swype or Swiftkey or similar keyboards may cause problems. You can switch quickly tapping long on an input in Firefox field and choosing "select input method.

We have better support of 3rd keyboard part. This work must be carried out in March or April of the year.

  • Beta 37 Firefox on Windows 8.1 has lag and stuttering during scrolling

I recently got a new laptop, and since the minute I installed firefox on it there was delay when scrolling of Web pages. He seems not at first not too bad, with that there is some stuttering when I first open firefox, but it seems that more I am browsing the worst it gets to the point where sometimes I will start to scroll, and then a second later firefox will just jump to the bottom of the page. Internet Explorer and Chrome, that both have perfectly smooth scrolling.

I tried several things to fix already, is that some of the things that I remember to try:
-Disable hardware acceleration and smooth scrolling
    -Starting in safe mode
-Complete reinstall with the new profile
-Map updated graphics drivers and intel

    Record the new laptop:
    Core i7
    GTX 970M
    16 GB of RAM

  • Firefox crashing and stuttering during video playback

It is clearly a problem of Firefox. I went through all the help screen and suggestion (usually for me to check things that worked perfectly the day before) I finally find something that worked for me - I've disabled 'FT Deep Dark 10' tab 'appearance' - video stutters is more - although the fact that I had this theme installed for about a year with no problems led me to where I started... It is clearly a problem of Firefox.

    wooddragon45.

Thanks for the reply - doesn't look like I've found a cure then, but it may be instructive in narrowing the possibilities - it may well have been a crash, possibly a FT DD 10 update report... just too busy at the time to spend the time to beta test, just need my software to work...

However, I'll post if I find something useful...

  • Jump in the middle of an audio track streaming on various sites causes the stuttering and audio glitch

    Hello

Please refer to this thread for support on the technical support of SoundCloud forums. The thread contains all relevant information, including videos of the screenshots problem and console, made by myself and others. https://www.soundcloudcommunity.com/SoundCloud/topics/skipping-to-the-middle-of-a-track-causes-stuttering-and-glitchy-audio-chrome-Firefox

In short, when you try to move forward for streaming audio, there is a memory buffer/stuttering problem that prevents a correct reading of the track. This problem is confirmed on SoundCloud and Traxsource and other people in the support thread mentioned Mixcloud and other streaming sites. In other words, it is not the special streaming service fault or another.

The problem does not occur in Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer or Chrome. Well, to clarify, when the issue was published on SoundCloud support forums, Chrome was having the same problem. However, they made a version a few days ago thrust, that fixed it.

Here's my original on the SoundCloud support post (less), which has the relevant details. Note that we have updated both Flash and Firefox recently, so although I have mentioned earlier in my original post, everyone involved has since updated their browsers and Flash.

From now on, the only solution for the problem is to go back to Firefox 40.0.2. Thanks for any help =)

    Matt

    Original message =.

Jump in the middle of a track causes the stuttering and audio glitch (Firefox).

I am running Windows 10 Pro.

There seems to be a problem of caching that affect reading - I started noticing this problem three or four days ago. Previously, I could jump through my feeds at will, go straight until the middle of the tracks or mixes of listen seconds and determine if I liked the track. Now, I can't do it on Firefox 41.0.1. The problem is simply annoying on songs that are 3 or 4 minutes in length, as I must leave "cache" maybe ten seconds before jumping. Unfortunately, the problem is a game-breaker on mixtures which, for example, are 90 minutes long. If I jump to a point directly in the middle of the combination, nothing happens. The play button alternates between the 'Play' symbol and the symbol of 'Caching' ('... "), and so audio resumes, it is glitchy and consists of different parts of the track being played at the same time.

I've eliminated my internet connection as the source of the problem by loading on board. On the edge of 20.10240.16384, the problem does not exist. I can scroll down to any mix of 2 hours in my stream, click on the middle of it, and the audio starts right up. No caching, without stuttering or glitching.

I drove back Flash version 18 to see if it solved the problem in Firefox, but it did not. The problem persisted, so I re-updated to Flash 19.

Yes, I understand how all versions and updates to work. I meant it as a generation of powder magazine. My bad.

I consider this problem to be solved. Several different pre-release versions of Firefox have solved the problem; I have personally used both of them that work perfectly. A representative of Bugzilla stated that the patch will be integrated into Firefox 42, which will be released on 3 November.

  • Why is developer of Firefox more stable and faster than ordinary Firefox?

So, I have some great experiences with regular Firefox. It works great themes, beautiful, good plugins, security etc., but there is one thing that bothers me in Firefox on ALL computers on EACH operating system. Whenever I have install Firefox, it is already slow, he stutters sometimes and sometimes it freezes. And this isn't just my problem because many of my friends and classmates using Chrome right now they complain about the speed of Firefox. Now, for me it is not a problem, I'm not a patient person, but it certainly is the browser that will protect my privacy rather than Chrome.

Recently, somewhere, I saw download link saying something like "Developer Mozilla, for people like you", or something like, I installed and the man, the browser is like 10 x faster than regular Firefox AND Chrome AND Safari, I mean, this speed is outrageous! It's great, no sarcasm!

I don't get, why is so slow regular Firefox and Firefox Developer so frickin' fast? Why? Perhaps, you can base your next update of Firefox to the developer of Firefox?

Sincerely in love with developer of Mozilla Firefox. * muah *.

Firefox Developer Edition is a version of Firefox. So what you see in the developer edition is coming out to regular Firefox in about 12 weeks (we releases every 6 weeks, and Dev edition is two versions before publication)

Dev Edition also uses a fresh profile, which may be faster than your old profile which is full of old data.

  • Plugin Flash causes enlarged video when stuttering on sites like jerk

I noticed that on sites like shake or Youtube, which is more the size of the window for the superior quality of video content workflow, it tends to stutter and the disk to thrash. Since the jerk and YouTube are now two 60 fps support videos, it is very easy to tell when the video stutters.

If I reduce the size of the window down, the problem is not completely relieved, but he gets it no better. With Chrome, I don't notice really any slowdown, but it's using the same version of Flash.

Any thoughts or ideas on what could be the problem?

    Hello

Some problems with Flash video playback can be resolved by disabling hardware acceleration in Flash Player settings. (See this article for more information on using the Flash plugin in Firefox).

To turn off hardware acceleration in Flash Player:

    1. Go to the Adobe Flash Player help page.
    2. Right-click on the Flash Player logo on this page.
    3. Click settings on the shortcut menu. The Adobe Flash Player settings screen opens.
    4. Click the icon in the lower left of the Adobe Flash Player settings window to open the display panel.

    5. Remove the enable hardware accelerationcheck box.
    6. Click close to close the Adobe Flash Player settings window.
    7. Restart Firefox.

This Flash Player help - display settings page contains more information about the Flash Player hardware acceleration, if you are interested.

Does this solve the problem? Let us know.

  • Why the video stutter in Firefox?

When I watch the video in Firefox it stutters badly. I tried to disable hardware acceleration in Adobe Flash Player. I also tried to uninstall Firefox and re - install a clean copy, but I still have this problem.

Try to disable the Protected Mode Flash 11.3 and above by adding the line ProtectedMode = 0 in the Flash "mms.cfg" file located in one of the following locations: [46]

       (Windows 32bit) C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash
       (Windows 64bit) C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash

For example, on a Windows 7 64-bit system, open the C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash folder, copy the file "mms.cfg" on the desktop, open it in Notepad, add a new line ProtectedMode=0 , then close Notepad, save your changes. Go to the C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash folder, rename the original file in "mms.cfgBAK" (to save it as a backup), then drag and drop the updated file in the "mms.cfg" from the desktop. [47] [48] [49]

Note: To re - enable the Protected-Mode Flash, either restore a backup of the original mms.cfg file, if you have saved one, either re - edit the mms.cfg file to remove the ProtectedMode=0 l line, you added. Update of Flash Player or a version more recent does not automatically re - enable Protected Mode

  • YouTube makes Firefox stutter and it slows down

In recent weeks, Youtube freezes Firefox (FF) and makes it slow. And even when you leave Youtube, FF keep given the slow and stuttering. Close FF and it again solved the problem. So somehow FF keeps something from Youtube in its system so the entire application is performed.
I tried to disable add ons, active and have hardware acceleration disabled, active, and disabled the Youtube HTML5. All have no effect.
In Internet Explorer it works fine, no problems with Youtube at all.

  • Firefox can't play youtube videos (only from youtube, other video sites work well)

Since about a week ago firefox in my laptop can not read the youtube videos (only from youtube, videos from other sites and flash games work well), both on the site or embedded on another site. This shows only "an error has occurred. "Please try again later".
I use firefox 13.0.1 and the latest version of the flash plugin.
My laptop is i5 with win7 64 bit and it has clean, no viruses or malware.

I tried all the solution posted here, but nothing works.
I tried to uninstall - reinstall both firefox and flash, disabled add-ons, safemode, downgrade from earlier, flash, uninstall realplayer, changed the dns, reconfigured my modem, my curse what ISP (perhaps connection related?), still unable to play videos from youtube.

I tried to use different computer, I used my old pc winxp with the old version of firefox (with the same configuration as the firefox I use in my laptop) and my ipad, they can play videos, but playback is stuttering which never happened before.
Curiously, I've tried chrome (on the same laptop) and it works well, no stutters.
This problem has something to do with the firefox updates, updates, flash, both, or something else?

Please help me, I don't want to go back and forth between browsers just to see the video on youtube and I really want to change browser.
    Thank you!

It's very strange... it will also be a very long shot, but it is possible that due to the long url (& feature = relmfu) it worked. I highly doubt this is the case.

I recommend not to clear your cookies, either of them or one of them to youtube.

And you've probably already tried this, but playing the video on the various quality parameters may do something.

And finally, have you tried to contact youtube/google on this subject, or restart your pc after making sure that all your stuff is up-to-date? (you have probably both)

  • The sound is choppy on Firefox, but not IE

Whenever I try to play a YouTube video or a song streaming on Grooveshark, on Firefox, the sound is very jerky. He stutters and looks like the way your voice sounds if you speak through the rotating blades of an electric fan.

The problem started shortly after I disabled the page file (swap file) on Windows XP Professional (due to a nearly full disk). After freeing up space on my hard drive, I have reactivated the pagefile, but the problem persists.

Here are a few troubleshooting steps I have tried:

    (1) Ran Firefox in Safe Mode

    (2) went to Control Panel-> Flash Player-> advance-> remove all data and navigation settings

    (3) erased the content cached Web in Firefox

    4 troubleshooting information)-> Reset Firefox

    (5) uninstalled Firefox by Mozilla (deleted Program Files-> Mozilla Firefox folder, then re-uploaded and re-installed Firefox)

The sound is fine when listening to these Web sites in Internet Explorer, so the problem does not seem to be linked to the material. It's specific to Firefox.

Hello, this is probably a by-product of the update of the plugin flash to adobe for version 11.3 (IE comes with a different veriant of the plugin by adobe) which would causes a loss of its audio or stuttering on some systems. you could try downgrading to version 11.2 of the flash plugin, until what adobe provides a fix for these issues, see Adobe Flash plugin has crashed - avoid that it happen

  • Constantly need to ctrl-0 or flash stutters video

For the past few weeks I have a problem when viewing Flash videos full screen - after a few seconds of operation of the screen stops and then speeds up / surge to catch up and then stops again. Disabling hardware acceleration does nothing and pressing ctrl-0 (according to the help topic for the flash videos) prevents the stuttering. Infact if I press ctrl-0 constantly it plays very well. The same flash video through IE is no problem. He stole not drive or high CPU / memory (accourding to the Task Manager) use when this happens. I tried deleting and reinstalling Flash and also the same for Firefox. Any ideas? Right now I use the 'open in IE' snap, but it's a little embarrassing...

Sorted! Go to safe mode turned off all the extensions, but plug-ins still worked. I deleted Mindspark toolbar plug-ins and Panda security online (which I don't remember installing... grrrrr) and it is all mended... Thanks for the info.
