Distributed in-> centralized UM UM (unit 4.0.3)

Hi, we have a customer who is upgrading from Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2003. They have Unified Messaging and have currently 7 unit servers each in partnership with their own Exchange 2000 Server on a remote site. I would be able to take this opportunity to get away from a distributed to a centralized model of unity in upgrading the main Exchange 2000 Server to Exchange 2003 and to associate a new unity server. Then spend the rest of the Exchange servers by ensuring that all Exchange servers are in the same range and administration group and the delay over the WAN is less than 40ms.

Best regards, Daniel

What you have today sounds like a sound design and I wouldn t recommend change.

Since 4.0 (3) we have explicitly supported having Exchange DC/GCs, servers or DNS servers over a WAN to the unit. Basically nothing that unity will need to access in real time. This statement has been added to the 4.0 release notes (3).

I know there is conflicting information on cisco.com and I really apologize for this. I am working to get it cleared up but it took more time then I would.

The flexibility of intellectual property makes this type of deployment is desirable. Without well understand the potential impact of loss of packets, delay, links and etc, using Exchange servers over WAN links could both well that never really encouraged. We have learned the hard way that t-handle could not just unity distributed Exchange servers, that's why we have removed explicitly supported.

WAN links could technically be supported if it was something really need customers. You can ask your team plans to submit so-called PEOPLE apply. We (Cisco) must however to approach it like a new feature it n t be a wink, wink, nod, nod kind of thing. There are a lot of design, test and field trial for the Exchange over a WAN link in a way that we can feel comfortable with.

Thank you

    Welcome on the support forums.

It's a very good question. One that I have been unable to solve since the launch of BB10, unfortunately.
I discussed the subject with the staff of BlackBerry of the Conference and the Forum (can't find jobs even though I think it was on the forum server, but who can not find as well...), but nothing helped.

A word on terminology - an important point. You're not building
a new processor. It is not possible. What you build is a new
    computer.

"CPU" means "Central processing unit". In modern furniture
computers, the CPU is a relatively small chip, one
integrated circuit. It is on the motherboard inside the computer
case. It is not the case itself, or the entire computer, which
includes the case and what it contains.

I don't know how incorrect practice began the appeal of the whole
the "processor" of the computer, but here's my guess: when you buy a computer, you
normally get the deal and what is in it, with a monitor,
keyboard, mouse and perhaps a printer. All of these devices
connect to the ports on the case. Because everything connects to the case,
the case is "Central" to everything, and the term "Central."
Processing unit"is sometimes badly understood and poorly applied to it.

Yes, in this case, I understand what you mean even if you used
the bad word. But depending on the situation, using the word
wrong in the future, especially if you have questions, may
confuse those who read your message and you get the wrong information.
This is why it is important that you understand what is a CPU.

and use a motherboard (ASUS Sabertooth) with suitable for nvme updated bios and a version of nvme 750 Intel SSD. I'll do a clean install on win7 system and do not know with certainty how (will install process, download the appropriate drivers) to get the necessary drivers.

You should get the drivers on the web sites of the material
Reference of the manufacturer - in this case, ASUS.

Apparently, you think that the term "CPU" is a synonym for "computer". It's
not. A CPU and a computer are two very different things. The CPU is a
small chip which is the case of your computer, on the motherboard.
Yes, it's the most important chip in the computer, but it is not the
    the computer itself.

"CPU" is in fact an abbreviation, not an acronym. "CPU" is synonymous with
"Central processing unit". In modern personal computers, the CPU is a
relatively small chip, an integrated circuit. It sits on
the motherboard inside the computer case. It is not the case
itself, it is not the total computer, which includes the case and
    all that it contains.

So you might not have pushed the CPU. Please be careful
not a misuse of the term, because if you do, you are likely to be confused
those who try to help you and get the wrong answers.

About your problem, my guess is that the cable from the monitor to
the computer has loosened. Please make sure that it is connected tightly.

  • Received a call of 'Microsoft Partner' £100 to fix the virus csrss.exe eager...

I received a call from Aishaz Tech informing me, I got the "csrss.exe"virus and that they could solve the problem for me for £100, which is the cost of the "Microsoft Tools" necessary to solve the problem.  They said that I not able to repair myself, nor anyone else would have had none of these tools and they are a Microsoft partner.  I run MS Windows 7 Home Preimium.  I didn't even notice that I had a problem.  There is only one version of crss.exe in the running task manager (although I can't open the file location) and I have had no other problems such as unexpected POPs Windows that other people with this virus are complaining about.

How can I know that this is not just a scam to get 100 pounds of me?
How can I know that I even the virus?
How do they know I have the virus and where they got my phone number from?
Is it also true that not even reformat the HARD drive and reinstall all the software from scratch can solve the problem?

They asked me to use "Teamviewer" free software to enable them to take on my screen, showing me the 'evidence' that I got the virus csrss.exe by:
    (1) running msconfig and showing me that much Microsoft services in the Service tab have the status 'arrested '.  They said all Microsoft services in the Service tab are essential and must always be running - is this true?
    (2) they ran regedit and viewd under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SAFETY record, for which the data column says (value not set) and told me that it meant my anti-virus did not work (I use AVG Free, who says he runs and certainly seems to be analyzes all incoming e-mails).  Nobody knows what the data column should be in it?
    (3) they then looked at what is called prefetch, showed me loads of entries with numbers and no names of recognizable program or file which said, contained the virus.
4 BACK), they ran a tree, sending loads of country names and other information too fast to read the screen, followed a sentence saying your antivirus software is out of date or does not work and an urgent need to be updated.  But I keep my AVG anti-virus updated software automatically.
I don't know what to do and I am really worried about what they could do with my computer while they were back online.  Someone at - it good suggestions please?

I don't know if Microsoft would take interest because they have themselves identified (many claim come / working on behalf of Microsoft/Windows).

    Hello.
In our society, we have + 700 PC, many different sizes and screen resolutions.

We distribute our Central Office IT.
In the login script, however we cannot check for used screen resulution and push OK Office scope. Everyone will have the same image and it is then stretched to fit.

The way I see it there are two possible solututions I was hoping someone could help me with.

    1. Writing scripts
Is there a way to modify our script so that the screen resolution is enabled and the corresponding desktop image is chosen for distribution?
    2. New feature of Windows
If Microsoft has created the opportunity to place an image in which is upper right. We could create a single image that would correct look (no stretch logo).

My preference would be no. 1 because that would allow us to use the entire screen.

  • Message-Driven beans and the order of the messages in the JMS queues.

    Hi all

We use Weblogic 10.3.6 and we have a cluster with 2 JMS servers. In our project, it is important to process messages in the order when they arrive in the queues.

Our question is simple enough, the fact that Message-Driven Beans (of the sort that take up messages in parallel) follow the order of the messages? Or do we need to configure something to do this.

    Thank you!

    According to the oracle documentation:

With the help of unit-of-Order with Destinations spread

As already mentioned in the Message of treatment according to the specification of JMS, Service of Message in Java specifications (to http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/jms/index.html ) doesn't guarantee no message ordered delivery when applications use distributed queues. WebLogic JMS redirects messages with the same disorder unit and have a target distributed to the same distributed destination member. The Member is chosen by unit of the order of the destination configuration:

    You can also

If you distribute, you can use control unit andmax-beans-in-free-pool:

  • Design for MU - Exchange centralized, distributed to the unit question

Here's the situation. Please let me know if I'm understanding correctly.

Two centers of data, Europe and CONUS, centralized Exchange servers to support remote offices. Most remote sites in Europe have the average response time ~ 150ms, but AsiaPac is on the order of ~ 300ms.

Each remote office would get a manager calls and a local system of the unit. The unity system would be storing voicemail in case of failure of the connection to the data center, give language-specific greetings, etc..

If the link between the office and the data center is in place, then the machine of the unit will then send computers virtual to the Exchange Server, which would then put the virtual computer in box mailbox users.

If the link does not work, it will store voicemails. Users will always be able to get new VM messages since they will be on their box of the local unit.

Users will be able to listen to the old VM messages if they are configured to download e-mail on their local machine since at this time, it's just another email.

I've been through the design guide and want to ensure that I understand that this is not a recommended solution? None of the offices have a local Exchange Server. The latency is going to be a deal breaker for a deployment of UNIFIED messaging?

It would certainly not be a supported configuration. The unit must me on the same LAN as the server Exchange, MS, GC. Communication between Exchange and the unit is very sensitive to time and cannot tolerate delays or package loses all. Just me that you plan now flat will not work.

So in this model, you will need to have the unit in the data center or choose a VM solution. With the servers in the data center, they would register in CM over the WAN, but you would need QoS are configured for voice traffic. But in the case where the Wan came down people would not be able to get to voicemail.

The other option would be for you to have the CM and the unit in the data center and use SRST at remote sites:

I know have enough details to know if it will work for you, but you can check it out.

  • The standardization of the distributed and unit-of-order ISSUE

    Hello

I will in the following document and I have a few questions on this basis
    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E17904_01/Web.1111/e13727/uoo.htm

    1.
Based on the above, if a unit-of-order jms message is sent to a uniform distributed topic, Weblogic sends the message that one of the members of destination topic. Is it also correct to assume that messages will not be transmitted to other members of topic destination even if the redirection policy is set to "REPLICATED"?

    2.
In addition, the document above (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17904_01/web.1111/e13727/uoo.htm#i1041061) mentions a limitation when using uniform distributed QUEUE and unit-of-order with hash routing function. That is to say
+ "If a member of queues distributed has a unit-of-control partner and is inaccessible, the producer sends the message will throw a JMSOrderException and messages are not routed to other distributed queue members. +.

However, the document does not mention what would be a behavior under the same scenario when using uniform distributed TOPIC (the use of hash-based routing)? will it be the same behavior with uniform SUBJECT distributed as well? Can you please clarify this

3 Please refer to the section of the document http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17904_01/web.1111/e13727/uoo.htm#i1044686, where it is said that + 'unit-of-Order messages are processed one at a time' +. This means that any operation batch parameter specified on the MDB (listening on the subject) will be ignored and that a message will be processed at a time?

    Kind regards

I somehow implies that the behavior of publish/subscribe violates the contract PUA? In an RTD or a PDT, messages for the same AUP can of course be copied on multiple subscriptions. The ranking of the AUP of transformation within a given subscription is maintained.

That said, there are only two cases where I remember off-the-top of my head that PUA command can easily be violated:

-As you mentioned, no transactional section BMD in compatibility mode that max-beans-in free-pool greater than 1 more run in a thread pool with more than 1 thread available in the MDB. IIRC, compatibility mode is not supported with Stdp, this restriction does not apply to the Stdp. It's good to know you already noticed this in the docs.

-Distributed queues that allow "transfer queue". I know it's documented too, but I don't remember where.

I do not remember the existence of special restrictions on the use of PUA in combination with the PDT. Hash-based routing applies on the way of the shipment and has the same behavior on a like on a TDR or a UDQ TMP. Ditto for the track of basis of Routing Service.

    Kind regards

  • Central controllers or distributed?

    Hello

I'm looking at a network for a company with about 20 branches, a HQ. At the present time, all sites depend on to wireless, and all use basic APs from Belkin, individually configured.

I'd like something a little more robust, I'm looking at the possibility to evolve towards a basic system of controller.

The branches each have about 10 people, with a large enough imprint on one floor, so most now have the Aps 2 or 3. They have no COMPUTER staff

HQ obviously has personal COMPUTER and a mixture of offices and warehouse. Currently, it has about 5 APs.

My question is, who is the best design to go to the current situation? A central controller capable of managing APs ~ 60 on all websites, or to each place, capable of managing 2 or 3 access points on this site?

Also, how does the 1941W adapts to the situation of the controller, it has an integrated access point, but it can be used as a controller for the other LWAPs? We are in the process of redisgning fo the WAN too, so implementation of 1941ws would be an option, if it is reasonable.

Cost is also an interesting factor, going to pay £50 per ap £300 will be interesting in itself, the cost in addition to this controller could break the proverbial camels back, so I need to be as economical as possible in this sense too.

    Thank you

    Anthony,

Branches have it local resources to which they have access? What are the WAN links?

My reccomendation in this scenario would be to deploy the controllers at the Center and configure access in mode H-REAP points so that they drop all traffic to the local switch. This minimizes the traffic that passes through the WAN links, also provides more control with respect to the quality of service and lowers the Comptroller general of the costs.  Recently, I have done this with a customer.

I hope this helps. Please feel free to rate this post

Mike, it seems to work correctly in CS6 when you do so:

    Choose window > align

    Choose to display the Options

    Select the objects.

    Choose align to key object

    Click on the key object

Enter 0.125 to specify the spacing value

    Click the Horizontal distribute space.

The result will be correct, although the field contains 0.13
