Divide my monitor

How do you split an external HP Envy monitor to show my camera the nest in a corner of the screen and can continue to work on my computer without the display of the device of nesting right?

I hear you loud and clear, but it's the company to nest to decide if they want their program to offer this possibility.  Maybe you should send your comments, I'm sure they are curious of what their clients want and what could make their programs even better.

A second option would be to use a 'utility always top One' forcing the nest program to be always in sight on top, even if other programs are running full screen (such as a Web site or another program).  There are many such utilities like it, even if none are guaranteed to work properly with the application of nest, that's why it is best to ask the company to nest first.

    Hello

I heard at least Tecras A9 product witch scratches on the external display only 3 when the laptop is pluged. When you use the laptop with the battery, the monitor works fine. they tried to divide the monitor and power cables as far as possible, but still the same problem. When you use the laptop with a non-toshiba-AC adapter, the external monitor works fine.

    Hello

In my opinion, you should visit the nearest Toshiba authorized service provider. They can plug in your Tecra external monitors and test. If the result is the same, I am sure that you will get free AC adapter replacement.

  • Exit WMP with the HDMI help!

OK, so ive just connected my TV to the computer and divide the monitor and the TV, but now for some reason wmp plays through hdmi but when I go to youtube and vlc it plays through my 5.1 System. How can I avoid that wmp when playing via the HDMI?

    Hello

I suggest you check in Windows media player if the default output device has been changed to 5.1 System. The unit selected by default on the sound icon in the lower corner on the right, works as a default output device. Follow the below mentioned steps to set the default device.
    (1) start Windows Media Player on any video file
    (2) make sure that you can see the video and sound on the laptop.
    (3) the right mouse click on the area of Windows Media Player (video).
More options-> Devices tab-> speakers select from the list of devices-> click on the properties button.
    (4) in the pop-up window modal 'properties of the speaker'-> select the audio device: => select '5.1 System.
    (5) save all windows.
    (6) close and restart Windows Media Player

    Hi @OPTIMISTICSTONE,

Thank you for joining the HP Forums!

I noticed your post on how your screen divided into 4 with your HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook. I'm happy to help you!

What is the number of product/model of your HP Pavilion dv6? How can I find my model number, serial number or product? There are several versions, example: HP Pavilion dv6500.

  • HP Omni 200 PC: Computer configured for HD TV as a second monitor

I am trying to use my HD TV as a second monitor set up my TV.  My goal is to watch movies from my PC to the TV.  The Omni 200 does not have VGA or HDMI connections.  So I tried to use a 3 USB to HDMI adapter with a long (25') HDMI Cable that I connected to one of the HDMI ports on the TV for my video output.  When I tried to detect the TV as a second monitor, I got a blue screen stating my PC was a dump of data and downtime.  Maybe it's that HDMI cards drivers were not really designed to win 10.  actually, the box said it was for Win 7, 8 and Vista, but the provider told me it would work to win 10.  They insured, in fact I got the driver for Win 10 that I installed, but with my PC crashed anyway.

I'm now considering a 3 USB to VGA instead - and using a long VGA cable to connect to my PC - it has a female connector VGA built in my opinion this solution would work.  And I would use a divider audio stereo 3.5 mm cable to connect a left and right RCA audio cable to the TV.

Someone has an opinion on the question of whether I'd be successful before I buy these cables?  Thank you. Dan

You are welcome.  Thank you for the additional information.

According to the Specifications of the motherboard , there are 2 - USB 2.0 and 1.0 on your computer 5 - USB ports.  Here is a video card that can allow you to connect to your TV.  I suggest you contact the manufacturer's Technical Support to make sure it works before buy you.  This will save send back if this does not work.  I do it myself before you buy all new components.  Therefore, it is difficult to know what works today.  Technology changes so quickly.

Please click on the Thumbs up button '+' if I helped you and click on "Accept as Solution" If your problem is resolved.

  • Satellite C660 - 2 EV screen divided into three sections

Hi, please someone can help me?

My Satellite C660 - 2 EV has developed a display problem where the screen is divided into three equal sections or parts, with the section of the Middle standing in the middle of the screen, but the left side is now on the right side of the screen and the right side is now on the left.

Ive searched the forums and found nothing on the Toshiba site, which just closed, but found that many sites say that it could be a hardware failure, with either the graphics card or the Ribbon that feeds on the screen that runs through the hinges.

Can anyone plaese shed some light on this?

    > found many sites say that it could be a hardware failure, with either the graphics card or the Ribbon that feeds on the screen that runs through the hinges.

The same question is displayed on the external screen/monitor?
If so, this means that your graphics card chip (maybe the motherboard) is the troublemaker.

  • Tecra M5: Is it possible to connect two monitors?

    Hello

Is it possible to connect two monitors the Tecra M5? Is it possible through the port replicator, perhaps by a split of dvi output or a dvi, one on the vga monitor. I want to divide between the two monitors.

    At soon now
    Iain.

    Hello

No, it's not possible to connect two external monitors.
If you want to split the screen, you can use the extended desktop option.
In display properties, you will find the option to extend my desktop on this monitor. You must select the second monitor and activate this option.

  • HP w2408h: flashing monitor

I have a HP w2408h monitor was blinking on and off problems since I started using it with my Pro 3 Surfact.  I ran across a few 2114 messages on this forum I found the following solution...

Step 1. Unplug the power cord at the back of the screen and the wall
Step 2. Press and hold the power button for at least a minute
Step 3. Plug the power cable in the monitor, and then to the wall outlet (not a power bar or surge protector)
Step 4. Press the Menu button on the monitor
Step 5. Navigate to the factory reset option and select

I followed these steps and, so far, my monitor no longer flashes (but his periods as it had so who will live will see)

My question is about the third step.  Why can't I use a power bar or surge protector?  Why must it be plugged directly into the wall?

    Hi there@deanblakely,

That the Forums are with you!  It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, HP experts and other support staff. I understand that you want to know why we recommend that you plug directly into a wall outlet. I'm happy to help you with this.

In response to your question, it is simply to help determine if a possible cause is insufficient. Some devices require power to perform certain tasks. If you are connected through a power strip, power this decision-making is being divided between all devices connected to this power strip.

I hope that adequately addresses your concerns and if so, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

  • ProBook G1 655, 23xw monitor: monitor

Just configure the 23xw, VGA connection for my ProBook laptop monitor.  Installed HP My Display.  Want to display only on the 23xw (white laptop screen) and want a vertical split screen, but can not achieve this result.  A control of the cursor seems to randomly between the laptop and the 23xw.  Now, to the laptop keyboard (no keyboard wireless from now).  What should I do to get the laptop screen to control and divide the screen while maintaining the functionality of laptop keyboard?  Thank you.

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your message on the monitor problems and wanted to help.

Change which monitor is considered as 'primary', open Control Panel--> display control.  Who should see both monitors and there you can control what is the 'main '.

However... If you set as primary externally, then it must ALWAYS be connected, otherwise, when it is not connected, you are likely to get no display on the screen of the laptop.

There is a feature called Aero-wink, but divides basically just the office into two windows.  You have in fact two independent offices where it use to be, just two windows which, together, address the whole office.

There is also a product of third-party called Fusion of display that will share the office, but I have not used.

    Good luck

I'm a volunteer and I do not work for, or represent, HP.

  • Can I use 4 K monitor cut on the Thinkpad X 1 Gen1

I bought a 4 k monitor that can divide into four full HD screens (it's on the right track), I know the 4000 Interl will not support 4K resolution but it will support 4 x 1080 p via the supplied mini port of DP?

    Well, I'm surprised to see that my X 1 carbon gen1 could actually support the resolution of 4 K 3920 * 2160.

    Hi Richard,

What is the operating system installed on the computer?

It seems that you need to divide the same application in several windows and place them in different monitors. Is this correct?

Unfortunately, it is normal and you can not split the same application on two different monitors.

Hope this information helps. Get back to us if you have more queries about Windows.

  • Whenever the computer is started, two different styles of start menu appear on the screen, divided vertically from left to right.

Original title: is this monitor or windows?

This condition began while I was running xp sp 3.

I worked in google earth at the time.

I don't remember exactly what happened.

But now, every time I start windows, two different styles of the start menu

appear on the screen, divided vertically from left to right.

The menu on the right can only be extended to about half of the control panel to the left.

The menu on the left can grow to the right once the right image has been reduced.

I tried to reset the start menu in the program settings without success.

    Anyone have any ideas?

  • The screen is divided into 4

    Hi, can anyone help?
Suddenly, my screen is divided into 4, which means there are now 4 miniature versions of everything I do. Everybody met it before and there at - it a way to back to normal?
    Thank you very much.

    Hi, Luce,.

Right now this looks like a harware problem - probably your video card or monitor. First of all lets check to make sure that it is not not a parameter.

1.), right click on your desktop and click Customize. Then go to display settings. In this window, set your resolution to a lower setting by moving the slider to the left.

2.) If you have a trial office, have disconnected and reconnected the connection to the monitor. If that does nothing, try connecting a different monitor and make sure you use another cable. If this does not work, you must have a tech look at your video card.
