Divs don't align

www.acemon.com

The site is validated but does not display correctly.

Under the heading are two divs, "introtext1" and "introtext2" and even if the code of each is identical (apart from the left margin), they align on top.

There are four divs that are marked 'text', and when I start to add words to each, the adjoining div 'click here' falls down depending on the amount of words in the "text" div

Maybe my problem is to get only two hours of sleep and I'm missing something obvious.

Thank you.

Add float: left; to your 'introtext2' css and change the left margin to 20px (as below)

{#introtext2}

do-family: Arial, Helvetica, without serif.

background-color: #6F6;

float: left;

height: 300px;

Width: 430px;

top of the margin: 20px;

left margin: 20px;

padding-top: 5px;

padding-left: 10px;

padding-right: 10px;

}

Move your box 'click here' is because you have your html code in the wrong order. It should be as below (note the closing of 'text' comes before 'click here')

Tag:

By the way, you have your comments for closing

Tags in the wrong place too. Below, they are in the right place.

The Basic Plan - $75 complete

  • Footer div don't align in Dreamweaver when the swf file is added...

    Hi, here is a good!

    I have a model having a div (#footer) as a non-editable area.  When I add a swf file to a div above it (#flash), the #footer div moves in Dreamweaver, but seems correct in all browsers I saw in it.

    Here is a link... Is the DESIGN page, that is the question, and I suppose all the other pages based on this template can generate the same problem.

    http://www.davidcoshdesign.com/NEA

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in anticipation!

    But the footer moves only in Design view in Dreamweaver, right? Just ignore it if it works fine in your browser. The footer is probably mobile to design due to a CSS stylesheet to float somewhere in your CSS, design view of Dreamweaver just can't wrap's head around...

  • Impossible to get div (s) to align

    I'm doing a site purely in CSS for the first time. As you can see from the link, I can't have three of the divs to properly align the top. I tried all the margin (negative margin works I was not advised) and padding and v line. Nothing. I tried to put a container around it and that no longer works.

  • FloatLeft pictures don't align

    I created a page with two pictures that give me a problem. Both are defined as "floatleft".

    On my computer, (crappy resolution because something is broken on my computer and I can not change the resolution), using firefox browser page seems fine. On my husband's computer (he got a mac with safar browseri and a much larger resolution), the two pictures don't align - the second is strangely indented.

    I checked the code and I can't find any difference between the two.

    Here is the URL if that helps:

    (Just to be clear, there are several images on the page, but send them me trouble are the two photos of book jackets.)

    Thanks a lot for your help!

    You must add a float of compensation after the first paragraph.

  • Slideshow don't align on Div - need help!

    Hello

    I tried to fix this problem of alignment for a while and can't seem to find the correct code to raise this slideshow to the line under the text.

    The slideshow is Juicebox. I joined his Div in a Div called mainContent. The image and text in the tag Div is fine, but when I insert the Juicebox div slideshow Juicebox appears down the bottom of the Web page. I can't it below the mainContent text. Here is a link to the Web page in question:

    ES-furryfaceportraits/pets1-images-furryfaceportraits/pets1JB.html http://www.whiteoconnellphoto.com/furryfaceportraits-Susan-White-Mark-oconnell/PET-Galleri

    Here is a link to a similar page that has a Simpleviewer slideshow embedded in the page to show how it is supposed to look like. Since the Simpleviewer is Flash based it is positioned correctly. The Juicebox is CSS based so she is operated differently.

    If I need to post more information please let me know what you need.

    I hope someone can help me straighten it because I have one dozen other slideshows that I need to change in a similar way.

    Thank you!

    Remove the line that I have scratched. This rule deletes your floats for the DIV - drop the div at the bottom.

    On a sidenote, remove your restriction "context menu". It is very annoying - especially when we are trying to debug your code for you! In any case, just so you know, with most modern browsers, there are ways to save / capture / extract the content of your site in any case - even if you have disabled the context menu in a script!

  • HP Officejet don't align more than 8600

    My Officejet Pro 8600 more don't lixation the print head.  I chose the option align several times, reset the printer by unplugging the power cord and even reset to the factory settings.  I'm at my wit's end.  This is getting ridiculous.  Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Hello Kiwikobi,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

    I understand that your Officejet 8600 will not align the print head. I can understand how frustrating this situation is. I'm here to offer a few suggestions to try to solve this problem. Please follow these steps:

    (1) make sure that the printer is plugged into a live wall, not a surge protector

    (2) remove all your printer ink cartridges and close the door

    (3) remove the power cord at the back of the printer (make no press the power button)

    4 wait 60 seconds or more, then plug the power cord into the printer

    (5) wait for the printer to turn completely, and then install the ink cartridges

    (6) try to print an alignment page

    "If these steps do not resolve your problem, please follow this entire document from HP to a ' alignment failed ' Error Message appears on the all-in-one.

    Please post your results, I'll be looking forward to hear from you.

  • Speed category masks don't align

    Hi guys I'm new to speedgrade and can't find answers online on why the mask itself and the widget are never aligned. Almost like a perspective view in a camera, it remains relatively attached to the center of the shot and does not correspond to the area of the shape mask that I specify but remains smaller and offset.

    Screen Shot 2015-02-05 at 2.00.07 pm.png

    in all the tutorials and examples I've seen online for all masks happens to align themselves with the region, they are inspired to encompassing but mine seems to be in some kind of perspective mode or something. Any help would be appreciated.

    This has been a problem for years, so I don't know when (if) we can expect a fix.  Here's a post on the forum on the same subject which is well over a year.

    SpeedGrade masks are off and ignore keyframes

    I met the same problem, my problem, I was like doing a project where I mixed images 1080 p with 4 K images.  Images of 1080 would mask with precision, the 4K images would emerge as you've demonstrated here.  It was a project of creating dynamic link, and I found that if I nested the 4 K shot in first then for some reason any mask would work as you would expect.  It's a pain, and not much of a workaround if you have a ton of shots. Luckily, I just had a few who needed masks.

    I hope that Adobe solves this problem.  You will get probably just the line "File a feature request" which - coupled with $5 - you'll get a cup of coffee.  I was still the same as all the people who have been doing for more than a year.  All in good time, we can hope.  All in good time.

  • Divs don't answer 100%

    Hello

    I am on a Mac with DW CS6. I am transferred this site from pixels to percentages to use more screen. This problem only appears on my ipad, but strangely, problem previews in DW in direct mode for the computer screen preview.

    The biography page shows a header that is truncated on the right and the footer is cut as well, so even if the two are on 100% width in the template.

    www.larryparrishpiano.com

    The container is set to 100% width as well. And as I mentioned, these cut off are not displayed on the computer tests. I don't have a media query defined for a Tablet, although I tried a mobile request briefly.

    It did not work as it should, so I have it off and made sure the css file has been deleted on the server.

    I appreciate any help on this. I am at a loss on this one.

    Thank you

  • Discover divs do not align in the design.

    Hello

    I have to divs side by side, their combined widths = the width of the div I wrapped around them whereas they should align perfectly. However, in design, see one of the divs is pushed under the other, but when I saw in the browser, they are aligned to how they should be. I know that's not a huge problem in the browser to its appearance, how it should be but its really annoying while I'm still coding a site when divs are not where they should be.

    I have attached my code and css styles. If someone could give advice which can happen.

    Thanks and greetings

    You advise that I should wrap #content & #sidebar in another div for example:

    N ° the only safe way to have two block tags are displayed horizontally adjacent must float one or two of them.  If you want to div div #sidebar and #content be side-by-side, try their two floating left.  Or float div left #content and give div #sidebar enough left margin so that it clears div #content right.  Of course, using floats here can have unintended consequences on the rest of your layout, but you can handle this by disabling the floats (we can help you later if you need it).  Who is?

  • Officejet Pro 8500 printhead don't align

    Recently bought an Officejet Pro 8500.  But followed installation instructions the printer can't align the print heads.  Have reinstalled the print heads, heads cleaned, etc.  but in vain.  Auto diagnostic test indicates the two print heads are good.  If I click 'OK' when the printer gives the alignment fails message. then I can print a document, then the printer goes through the whole ending print head alignment process again with the same failure message.   Any thoughts on how to solve this problem? Thank you.

    Had the same problem, called technical support and when getting the serial number, I noticed the paper along the back of the printer tray had been dislodged by my son and why the printer not to would bring line with not properly.

  • C8180 don't align with the white paper

    Hi just bought a used C8180.  The test print shows empty for forj light scratches white and cyan, and cyan light magenta and magenta. I replaced all cartridges with new ones. I ran numerouse printhead cleaning and self-test of reports. Black print is fine.

    The pictures are horrible.

    Trying to align the printer, it gives the error "use clean white paper." The white paper is 96bright and new.

    I turned the unit on, reinsert the cartridges.

    What else?

    Hello

    The printer uses a colorful light to align the print head. If required (in this case Cyan) color is not printing - the printer cannot complete the alignment. If the printer does not know there is a problem, then he thing you use other than white paper.

    It seems that the printhead of the printer no longer works.

    I have it!  I had to keep pushing through the feedback of pressure on the algnment gears.  All holes line up now.

  • don't align 8500 wireless

    I see references to the print head alignment problems in other posts, but didn't find any solution. My camera worked well in an environment of small office for several years. But recently when installing new ink cartridges, I hit by mistake the * button when you are prompted to replace the printheads. In my haste, I thought he was referring to the ink cartridges, not print heads. The unit worked perfectly well & now he's stuck in this cycle of alignment error. Whenever I print, it goes through the alignment feature only to say that it couldn't & refer to the documentation. I tried simply to buy new printheads or send it in for service, but after reading all the annoying messages, I am reluctant to spend money on this unit. Can anyone offer a solution I can try here at the office? I can't believe that this entire scenario was created by me just hit the wrong button, which made a machine works think it's broken!

    Hello captcraignc,

    Welcome to the HP Forums.

    I see you have a problem with the printer gives an alignment error.

    Please help please you making sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a bar/power strip; Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer for example, but it is intended for HP products in general. Please click the link which explains the problems when connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power.
