Dll Windows Photo Gallery is missing

I can't access WLXPhoto Gallery.  I get error WLXPhoto Gallery.exe System.  So WLXPhotoBase.dii is missing & re - install.  What & where to install.  Thanks, TrisheBear

Take a look in Control Panel / programs and features, search for a list of Windows Live Essentials and click on that.  I will give you the option of repair of all programs Windows Live, or to remove, all simply, installed Windows Live programs.  First, try the repair if it does not work then try to remove the photo library and put it back to Windows Live.

  • Windows Photo Gallery does not

    Hello

I use Windows Photo Gallery to see all my photos. Recently, when I tried to display a photo (in jpg format) file an error appears and says "error loading C:\ProgramFiles\WindowsPhotoGallery\PhotoViewer.dll the system cannot find message for message number 0 x %1 in the message for %2 file.»

Then when I tried to open the Windows Photo Gallery, this error pops up "cannot find 'C:\ProgramFiles\WindowsPhotoGallery\PhotoViewer.exe' make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again."

I don't remember when this started to happen, but I would be really grateful if someone could help me find a solution. Thank you.

  • Error unknown 0x88982F50 when you try to change the properties of a JPEG file in the Windows Photo Gallery

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack1 and use Windows Photo Gallery to managemy photos. I like the fact that I can integrate tags and ratings in JPEG files.

I just noticed though, that the tag is no longer to be stored in the JPEG file. I know because when I saw the properties of the file tag information I have in the Windows Photo Gallery is not present. If I try to change the properties directly, I get an error message stating:

An unexpected error prevented the operation. Make a note of this error code, which might be useful if you get additional help to resolve this problem: 0x88982F50 error: No. Error Description available.

    I checked the file isn't read-only etc.

I searched Microsoft.com for this error and have found no help. I searched the internet and have seen many forums to raise this issue, but I can't find a solution.

Note that when I try to fix an image in Windows (eye of harvest/red etc.) Photo Gallery, I also get an error that says I can't save the changes.

For me, it looks like a component is faulty or missing, but how is it resolved?

    5. click on this process. Click the end «»
Treat button"at the bottom right of the screen.
    Confirm 'End process' if necessary.

6 perform the steps 1-5 before opening a Windows Explorer
window for the first time in the current session.

Eliminate that a will of the Task Manager process
Restore Windows Explorer ability to 'see' as well as

Can any particular service being disabled cause this problem? Thank you and have a nice day.

  • Windows Photo Gallery contains more photos than my pictures folder and my drive hard iomega

I'm a long-time Windows user, but an infant when it comes to the OS. I try to use a disk hard iomega for photo backup.  My windows image file contains 3542 images, the iomega contains the same number, covering a period of time, from 2002 to 2009.  My Windows Photo Gallery contains 23 000 + items covering a period from 2002 to 2011.  Before my last backup attempt, a few minutes earlier, 18000 Photo Gallery + content elements.  When I clicked on the button "Import pictures using Windows" for the iomega he said had 5169 photos to import.  I guess that Windows imported these 5169 photos in Photo Gallery when I intended to send photos to the Photo Gallery for the iomega.  Where should I look to find the missing photos for 2009 to 2011?  When I find out how to do them in Windows Photo Gallery?  How can I transfer photos from the Photo Gallery for the iomega.

    Thank you

Photos of "only" that are actually stored by Windows Live Photo Gallery
are the unreleased original files that are saved as a backup when a picture is
edited. These are the files that replace a photo retouched then "Cancel".
    the button is pressed.

The path to the backup on a Vista system folder must be:

    Vista
    C:\Users\\Appdata\Local\Microsoft\Windows Gallery\Original photos.

The rest of the thumbnails that see you in the Gallery is just pointers to
they are saved in the pictures in the folders on your hard drive. You can check
This by clicking on a thumb in the gallery and choose "open file location".
This can help you to find photos of the "disappeared".

It is possible that some photos have been imported more than once and that
could explain the discrepancy between the total number of files.

Renaming or deleting the file of database owner should dissipate the
    several inches.

This causes WLPG create a new file
next time it is launched and will return
    WLPG to its original state.

Some tags who could not not and metadata
be rewritten on the photo, the files can be
    lost.

On your Vista system, this file would be
    Pictures.PD4, Pictures.pd5 or Pictures.pd6
(depending on your version of the gallery)

    C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\
    Windows Photo Gallery\Pictures.pd4, .pd5.
    or .pd6

It is a hidden file and you may need
    change the following settings:

Windows Vista - Show hidden files
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/Show-hidden-files

The file ends with a advanced
    Research of pd4 pd5 and pd6.

Reach... Start / Search / Advanced search.

Check the box... "include not indexed, hidden,
    and the file system"enter pd4, pd5 pd6 in the
    Name field

Rename the .pd5 .pd4 or pd6 file should
    clean your library.

    Try a click right/rename it...      Pictures.OLD
If you are not satisfied with the results... you can
Delete the new file and rename the OLD file
    Back to Pictures.pd4, .pd5 or .pd6.

    (4) I copied the info from a tech forum on
the net... I don't know if it works, but maybe it's
    worth a try:

    A. right click on Task Manager open the
taskbar on the bottom of your screen and choosing
The task in the menu Manager.

    B. click the tab process, along the upper part of the
    The Task Manager screen.

    C. in the process tab, select the corresponding button at the bottom
left of the screen that says "show processes of.
all users"and click on it. Click 'Continue' to the UAC
    the prompt that appears.

    D. the screen should turns off a moment, then
back with much more than process listed. Click
the "Command line" column to sort the list and
    Search:

    "C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmpnetwk.exe"

Read the description in the next section on:

Windows Media Sharing Service reader network

    F. click on this process. Click the end «»
Treat button"at the bottom right of the screen.
    Confirm 'End process' if necessary.

You should now be able to save your changes to
your photos normally. The bad news is that this
should be performed whenever you start or restart Vista.
And I don't know how to prevent the situation from
in the first place of loading.

The solution came to me when I could not recreate
the problem on a laptop with Vista Home.
Everything I could compare, I noticed that the
%Path% environment variable was not between different
    the 2 machines.

I guess that WLPG relies on the dll must be found

Back to ' base or incomplete "library finds it
the default specific paths or the user. The solution for
me has been to ensure the entire path system
to the folders in the order appropriate.

    To fix, follow these steps:

    A. right click on the COMPUTER icon on the
    desktop and choose PROPERTIES

    B. choose ADVANCED SYSTEM SETTINGS

    C. Si you are prompted by UAC to allow, go ahead.
    and ALLOW

    D. click on ENVIRONMENT VARIABLES...

    E. in the bottom half, under SYSTEM VARIABLES,.
Find the PATH variable and highlight the

    F. click the button CHANGE

    G. ensure that what starts with
    % SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;

    H. ensure you that a semicolon separates each entry.

    I. click OK three times

    J. restart the computer

    Good luck...
