DMM 5.2 VM WARNING: File system ' / ' reached out to space

If I connect to the DMM 5.2 Application Administration Interface, I get a warning, which reached the root out of the file system.

WARNING: The File System "/" is reaching out of Space

I know, I may expand the disc itself, but is there a way to extend the system of files without console root login?

Here are some common reasons why you might encounter this error and

storage hard drive problems:

1. location of the video content & presentations.  This error can

happen if you STORE your content locally on the Manager (DMM) digital media

himself.  For best practices, video content * SHOULD * stored on

or remote servers.

2. the Logs files are excessive and files consume the available

disk space on the server of DMM.

Resolutions:

For point #1

-----------------

-You will need to pass video content to one or more remote servers

-Delete\Remove media files stored in the multimedia library

the DMM Server

-Create new multimedia files by using the URL for the content stored on the remote

Server (s)

Article #2

-----------------

For the DMS 5.2

-Access to the IAA for the DMM Server

-Select 'control unit '.

-Select "Indexing Options".

-Select "Clean_Logs".

    How can I fix this error?

    I await your comments.

    Concerning

    Hi Aurelius,

    If the newspapers of cleaning did not help them (which I expect to). You can run in a known defect, this problem occurs because as the access_log does not turn properly after we reach the limit of size.

    The Cisco default is #.

    CSCti86040 - Access_log not turning or delete when erasing logs on DMM

    This default is set in point 5.2.2 release of code, but you can open a TAC case and we can remove the access_log journal and apply the workaround for the same thing.

  • system down out of space

    I have a windows 2003 Server sbs on a 4.01 esxi that does not start because it is suddenly out of space on the data store. How can I know which files can be deleted safely. When I started several months ago I had only a few files for the virtual machine. He needs to generate about 20 files. I have multiple vmdk files that take up a lot of space. Here is the error

    There is no more space on the virtual disk, DSERVER.

    Sorry, it took some time, but I did a quick test on my test environment.

    I've attached a file updated the vmsd which represents now two snapshots on the virtual machine.

    You must download the file to the data store. If the two snapshots (consolidate Helper - 0-2) do not appear in the Snapshot Manager right away, you may need to remove the virtual machine from the inventory (right-click the virtual machine in the inventory and select "Remove from inventory") and add it back back (right click on the file vmx in the data store, and then select "Add to the inventory").

    Once you see the two snapshots, first a ' Consolidate Helper-0 ' select and click 'delete '. This will consolidate the snapshot 58GB (... 000002.VMDK) in the basic disk. It will take time. Before committing the second snapshot, you should start the virtual machine to see if the snapshot is still ok after the virtual machine has been closed due to disk space is low. Once the VM starts and everything looks ok, you can remove the ' Consolidate Helper-2 ' second snapshot in the Snapshot Manager.

    For the above, I guess that your basic virtual disk is supplied thickness. If this isn't the case, please report. Do not try to commit the snapshot in this case!

    Before you start committing snapshots, make sure you that Veeam don't hit in the consolidation of the snapshot.

  • Very large log file C:\ running out of space

    Hi all

    We're going to have a problem with our VCenter server runs low on resources. The hard drive is partitioned in C: and D: drive. The C: folder had only 5 MB of free space on it.

    We did some surveys looked at the SQL logs, which were very small, but in the directory where the databases are stored, we saw a single file in there called ' ESX - Vmotion_Log.LDF' which is 75 GB in size.

    Does anyone know it's important or if it is safe to delete it to free up space on our C:\ drive?

    Thank you

    HM, thatts certainly a Log in SQL Server. Is there a database using this name in your SQL?

  • Backup error ReadyNas DUO - «read only file system»

    Hello community,

    I hope you can help me with a problem I'm having with my ReadyNAS Duo (v1) running Raidiator 4.1.14. At night, it is running a backup job that copies a file from a computer on the local network to the NAS itself. What often happens is after a reboot for a while, things work sometimes days, sometimes weeks. But then I get e-mails warning that contains journal like entries:

    CP: cannot create the file ' / backup/projecten/./CAM_strip/01_v0.1.JPG': read-only file system

    Usually this warning is given for each file (which means thousands) so that emails are big enough. And obviously the backup has not been made. I tried to solve this problem and sought similar questions on this forum and on the web, but nothing helped. I can't identify what is the cause.

    Maybe you could help me the grace to some of the run settings, I can tinker too. I guess it has something to do with the ownership and rights to access these files and folders.

    Thank you!

    Hello Miss,

    Aside from trying StephenB and JennCs suggestions, if you create a test share, can you tell us if you will experience the same behavior in read-only?

    Forward to your response.

  • MBR - Volume does not contain a file system recognized - after bootrec options

    I was unable to install the Vista SP2 (as it appeared later, because of a Grub boot loader installed by Linux). I tried to reconfigure the bootloader and the partitions (which allows to boot directly into Windows), but after several bootloader configurations (load different partitions as well as MBR) and some partition resizing (resize incl. NTFS partition). Windows unbootable.

    I tried Windows Rescue Disk:

    Bootrec /fixmbr succeeded

    Bootrec /fixboot did not work until I made the /scanos (including iedentified, after having disassembled the NTFS Linux partition and putting the flag of boot loader in the MBR and the default option of grub in Windows, there are 1 installation of Windows in C:\windows).

    If I then repeated bootrec /fixboot he gave the message that the volume does not contain a recognized file system.

    I also did bootrec /rebuildBCD (after renamed it bcd), ultimately without success.

    In total, the situation of 'better' I reached was either a Windows startup with a cursor flashing something happens (apparently find the partition but not any which boot file or OS); or the spare arriving to determine that there is a partition of Windows Vista, but (following the first option to simply repair the system) 'no errors detected. " The second option here, "Restore to a previous point" refers to that there is no previous such restore point.

    It took me about 24 hours now to finally get SP2 installed, but obviously with only murkier.

    Hi Willem W,.

    I suggest trying the (step 1 in the link) Startup Repair and then manually rebuild the BCD (Boot Configuration data) using Bcdedit.exe (step 3) in the article below and check if this solves the problem

    Error message when you start Windows Vista: "the Windows Boot Configuration data file is missing required information".

  • Why can't I use a virtual hard disk on a UDF file system?

    I have an external hard drive that has eSata and USB connection formatted in NTFS, where I have bootmgr and let me run windows native installers installations and windows on virtual hard drives with different software and different versions of Windows for testing purposes installed.

    I wanted to copy a VHD to another USB that is used to share files with other operating systems and is formatted with the UDF, who is reading and writing on all operating systems.

    Here it is: I can't use the VHD to a file directly from UDF system.

    I can understand that, because of the file system limits, cannot use extensible VHDs on UDF. But I opened a command line, type DISKPART, ' select vdisk file = [UDF disc]: \07-100-clean.vhd "and says it's a unsupportted action.

    Well... Make this hard drive virtual bootable since a UDF its imposible because it means modifing the bootloader, but:

  • dynamically create files (.txt/.doc/.css etc.) and save the table as BLOB without file system reference

    Hi guys,.

    IAM trying to find a plsql/pkg process that creates a file for example myiphones.txt (with content) and save this file as BLOB directly in a table in the DB (not on file system moreove there is no access to the file system) - Ive studied this but nothing about other than as_pdf3 that iam still working on.

    Here are the summarized steps:

    -------------------------------------------

    1. run plsql to create a single file like myiphone.txt,

    2. in this (myiphone.txt) inserts a record content from another table EMP as,

    MYiPhone.txt

    ============

    Greg Taylor,

    Mike Owen

    3 then finally record this (myiphone.txt) in another table MYFILES as BLOB - Note Please that I don't want to not refer to file system manager and I have not access to it for the time being,

    I hope it is clear

    no idea about the way to handle this is appreciated?

    Thank you.

    Gert,

    First of all, you receive data from file system?  You should check to make sure that you are getting data.  If this is not the case, check the list of file system types to make sure that your type of filsystem is included.

    If you get data, I expect that your problem is with the thresholds.  I need to test how your combination would work.  I would have thought the file system list would be override the global default value, but both are feeling the way you listed them.  your global values are descending from the warning to mortals, and the values of the file system you growing caution to mortals.  They should be Crescent, where the fatal value must be greater than the value of warning.  If you can fix the global values.

    But first confirm you've found data for the file system.

  • Adding to the rule of file system capacity

    Hello

    The ability of current file system rule resembles the current % used and compared to a registry variable.   My team of storage request that I change the rule.  They wanted to be able to specify a more granuilar % as 99.5% for criticism or 99.2% for warnring (for specific disc) it's because these drives are very large.  However, it seems that the default metric is supported only integers... .such as 99%.

    That said my next idea was to change the alert rule that if the player was at 99% and had to say less than 1 GB of space... for example.  In this way, he would not be a problem for smaller and larger discs would have a second check.  However I don't know how to change the condition to achieve this result.  That's what brings me to yall.   Thanks for any help in advance

    Here is the current status for the warning

    test = true;

    for {(obj in scope.detail)

    If (obj.topologyTypeName.equals ("AccessInformation")) {}

    test = obj.writable;

    }

    }

    If {(test)

    return #capacityUsed # > = registry ("INF_FileSystemCapacityWarning");

    }

    Returns false;

    You can create your own registry variables and make double whole vs. and those who use instead.  With respect to the addition in the available space, you could manually set or use a registry variable.  There is space in MB.

    test = true;

    for {(obj in scope.detail)

    If (obj.topologyTypeName.equals ("AccessInformation")) {}

    test = obj.writable;

    }

    }

    If {(test)

    return #capacityUsed # > = registry ("INF_FileSystemCapacityWarning") & #spaceAvailable #.<=>

    }

    Returns false;

    It seems to work, I get results back, but run the above commands again gives the same results if. Can someone help me with this please?

    OK, so I tried to look for other combinations of error messages and others and found some info on that. Seems he is kind of a common problem and it is generally due to two reasons.

    (1) the logic unit number is too big (more than 2 TB). However, mine was 1.82 TB.

    (2) if there is previous data on the VMWare drives may have problems reading it. I reset (both quick and full), the RAID repeatedly, which is supposed to make the blank disc, but it did not help.

    But see the ' Note: sector size is 4096 (not 512) "message made me think. Maybe I chose the size of sector 'wrong' when I recreated the RAID array... I went into the RAID bios and deleted the berries, recreate them again with the sector size 512. In addition, to be absolutely sure, I created two logical drives instead of one; 1 @ 1 TB and 1 @ 820GB.

    Booted up and went well add guide to storage again and this time it worked fine.

    I remember no adjustment of the sector size to anything other than the default value is 512. And even with a size of 4 KB allocation. So, really, I'm leaning towards the size of the logical disk. Odd how VMWare is supposed to manage up to 2048 GB, but still.

  • How can I migrate content from file system to webcenter content using inbound refinery?

    Hello

    How can I move content 'Webcenter content' using Refinery Inboundfile system? There is a lot of content in my system, I want to go to "Content Server" using inbound refinery.

    How can I reach it? Is it possible to do this? If this is not possible using inbound refinery, so how can I do this?

    I use 11.1.1.6 version.

    Help, please.

    Concerning

    REDA

    Hi reda,.

    First - incoming refinery isn't real resources whose content is ingested in the content server. 'S done it by Webcenter Content server that holds / process of all content items.

    IBR is only used for the conversion of 1 format to PDF documents (and some others).

    So, in your case, you must first set up a content server and then install Desktop Integration Suite customer on your physical machine. In this place, you can drag-and - drop all the content of the file system to the content server.
